hi oldSaint, thanks for the cache.
I really don't know why I didn't search for this one when I came to get the previous GC cache a few years.
Anyway, back again for a more recent GC hide, so after finding that, I turned my attention to this one.
A quick find of an appropriate and themed cache.
Cheers, EPs.

Have been here in the past hunting for caches.
Thanks for the cache!

It must have been my lucky day Smile
Came up to do the GC cache and decided to look this one up while here. Such a nice peaceful place in here surrounded by history. I climbed to GZ and was at 0m and according to the hint so searched and searched but nothing. Headed 13m SE up hill to the next likely spot but again nothing. Finally giving up I can't back down only to notice a possible spot 13m NW of GZ and what do you know, there was the cache. I'll have to look for more of these GCA ones. Thanks.

I have been up caching previously, that was before I knew about GCA. With the current game on, SSR and I were about and about looking for points opportunities. A lot of the movables we looked for were in the hands of other finders so we were having a mixed sort of day.
It has nice to take myself up the hill without a child on my back like last time. The start of the walk was in beautiful sunshine but it got cold in the shadows and I was glad I left my jacket on.
Whilst SSR sorting out another cache I went to find this. Just as I uncovered it my phone rang - it was you! I handed the log to SSR when he caught up and he signed both names while I was chatting with you.
Loved the container, very fitting for the area. Thanks OldSaint for another adventure.

Hi OldSaint, we finally got around to finding this cache. A nice stroll to GZ dodging the showers. Located and signed the log in a clever hide. Cache nice and dry. TFTC

Needed to stretch our legs, especially the youngest red tags, so this was just the ticket for the afternoon Cool
Had lots of fun exploring the area, and the boys loved the geocache Surprised
There was also some mad "parachuting" off the concrete platforms too ! Wink
Thanks for the cache, OldSaint ! Very Happy

Lovely Walk with Geo Kid E. He really enjoyed the area and the history and of course the explosives. Didn't bring a pen (doh) so took picture of log book and with permission of the cache owner have logged my find

Cache is in excellent condition

On the last day of winter we headed down this way to collect some caches. After a pleasant amble to GZ we quickly located the cache.
Novel and appropriate idea for a cache container.
We would never have known about this very interesting and historic location if it wasn't for geocaching. TFTC

It's a bit of a cliche, but here was yet anothe interesting spot to visit that we would never have known about except for geocaching, so thanks for bringing us here, Old Saint. We have to thank others for mentioning the gate in their logs that we should look out for a gate, as otherwise we too would have been bushbashing from the suggestd parking area instead of wandering a grassy track. We we e very careful the pin and luckily it didn't explode in our faces!! TFTC

I took the hard way up by parking at the suggested coordinates and heading straight up the hill from there. It wasn't for a few hundred metres that I finally intercepted the track. I had arrived at the parking position from the south, so hadn't noticed the gate and path about 75m north of where I parked.
I wasn't aware that this area existed, so it was interesting to read the information boards and have a look around. Cache located without any trouble and I was careful not to pull the pin whilst I signed the log as I didn't want to blow anything up.

We have had this cache on our agenda for some time but during previous visits south, we did not have the opportunity to search. After staying with one of our daughters and her partner in Blackmans Bay last night, we were in the ideal location to make an early morning excursion. After finding the start of the track it was a pleasant walk. Along the way we came across information which explained the significance of the name of the cache. Once near GZ, a quick find was made. the cache and its contents were in good condition. TFTC OldSaint and for bringing us to this interesting location.

Hello OldSaint

I have just recovered from this explosive cache as when I lifted the rock I was blown away by the cache.

A lovely spot it's a pity more people haven't been to find it.

I'm fighting a losing battle to clear out my nearest 20km, because they just keep popping up, but I'm keeping the nearest 10km empty, and I *certainly* had to grab one that appeared just a couple of km away.
A pleasant stroll took me to an FTF in a familiar and attractive area.
I didn't trust the GPSr at first, because of the terrain 1 rating, but then I realised that it wasn't even terrain 1 to get that far, so I followed the needle and found it quickly.
On the way, I found my own cache sitting in the open a few metres from its hide, so I took some time to put it back properly.
Thanks, OldSaint.

Please enjoy the cache, the little known reserve and the fauna.
Cheers OldSaint.
