Description

Another oportunity to stop, get out of the car and stretch.    An easy park and grab cache with room to pull over/off the ramp for those travelling South along the Federal Highway towards Canberra.     For those travelling North, you will need park about 40 metres away and walk back around the corner to grab the the cache.

Not an extremely busy area, but still, watch for other traffic.

Of course I couldn't give up, my weekend off for any other reason than Geocaching. With four Geo-events at Canberra and a bonus friend’s party Saturday night meant that is where I'm headed. It was a great weekend full of fun, dancing, catching up with friends and finding many Geocaches along my travels. This was one of the caches or events, I found (or DNF) or attended at some point over the weekend. TB visit on all found caches. I would like to thank all CO's of the caches I found, for allowing them to bring me and the caching community enjoyment. Big Grin TFTC's and TFTE's! Big Grin

After the Sutton event, I made a quick find here before heading back into Canberra to attempt the FTF.

Yay, finally made my way down to collect this cache - always wondered how you'd pull over and collect (I mean, I ride past here a bit, but never really had a good look)... but pretty simple..

As always, Thanks SDL, your caches are the just the thing for a fun caching run.

While we are travelling we like to avoid the major highways as much as possible and this cache allowed us to stretch out legs. Cache was found easily tucked safely away. The contents were in good condition.

Thanks for the cache Sol de Lune.

Found with Fitzy_1965 on the way to work this morning. Pulled up, opened the door, leaned in and grabbed the cache....super easy when heading the right way. More unloved on this one after collecting its pair yesterday.

Found 7:35pm with Skypirate. I wanted to find another GCA cache so after completing a nearby GC I drove over to find this one on my weekly commute home to the Central Coast. I expected pretty much where to find it and wasn't disappointed although I had to do a short walk in the cold night air because I didn't want to go in that direction with the geovehicle. Signed the log and replaced cache where it had been hidden.
Thanks for the cache.

Decided on a long day of caching in the ACT. and left home 3 am. Had a great day with 2 events involved as well. Lots of find and (unusually) lots of dnf's as well. Met some great people and the weather was at least dry today. Finally home and exhausted by 8 pm. Thanks for putting out this cache!

On the ay to Sydney to see a Cirque show, I allowed enough time to get the new GA caches along the way. I was going the wrong way to get right to this one in the car, but that did not stop me making the short walk from up the road. Thanks.

#GA 264 - 16:35; This was the third of seven on an afternoon run. I was planning to leave these ones until January to get me up to my 15 for the month, but what the heck, they are new and they are there to be logged, so I did a loop from Gungahlin to Sutton, along Sutton Road to Jerrabomberra and on to Hume and home again via Black Mountain. This one was a quick park and grab before heading back for the border and my first GC cache on the mission. TFTC Sol de lune Very Happy
