I remember coming here every Christmas holidays with youth group camps and it was a thriving place back then in the late 80's. So sad it's lost it's "busy" now.
Cheers and thanks

I remember many an occasion coming here, both as a child, and as an adult, enjoying the macadamia nut ride, the factory, the zoo and of course those fantastic Sundaes! Any time my grandmother visited from U.K. this was an absolute MUST!!
Today sadly this place is a shell of its former self, although hopefully new developments with the zipline and other plans might bring it back to its former glory. It would be such a shame to see this place go the same way as other attractions we used to enjoy up here as kids.
Thanks for the cache us3scouts
After witnessing her finish her second DT loop, we set off to create a few more smileys around the place.
We had fun taking photos here and then stopped for a bite to eat.
I have lots of fond memories of the big pineapple back in the 80's and 90's
Thanks for this virtual cache us3scouts
TFTC - yep. it is a pineapple. not really very big either... lol
There were a few cars and people about visiting the zoo which was nice to see.
It's years since we were last here. Today we took some photos and visited the shop, then found a GC cache across the road.
Thanks heaps us3scouts.
I was over at Lake Booreen maintaining my hides over there and drove home via Nambour. This is not the place I remember before they ran in to all those financial problems. Looks like it is only the Saturday markets and the kids visiting the Zoo that are keeping the place open. Over grown and unmaintained. What a pity. TFTC us3scouts.
