Description

Toowoomba Scavenger Hunt

Despite the large number of GC hides across Toowoomba it appears that there are very few  geocaching Australia hides in the area.

This is my the first tradtional GCA hide, placed for the summer scavenger competion, hence the name. I have placed this one along a little known road on the sourthern side of the city.

In the area and decided to visit some geocaches. I found this one in surprisingly very good condition. Thanks for the cache and generous hint Smile

A quick find and it was interesting to note that the 3 signatures on this page were all Tasmanian cachers. GCA has a really good following in our home state.
Not the best one to do in thongs though.
Thanks.

Caching in the area with whitewebbs it was nice to come across some GCA caches.

Day 4 of a 5 day caching run around south east Queensland with LuckyL10n.

After leaving Nanango we headed for Brisbane via Toowoomba and stopped to grab to the GCA caches that were in the area. Once at GZ the cache was a quick find and or names were soon in the log. Great to see these are still going strong.

Thanks MalDawg….another part of Toowoomba I certainly haven't seen before.

#GA3576 - 10:20; Day 4 of a long planned mission to South East Queensland with Sol de lune and after a couple of days in and around Nanango and the wider South Burnett area, it was time to head back towards Brisbane, then home later on Tuesday. Grabbed the CORS on the way into town, followed by a couple of virtuals, and now collecting a few more. This one provided some interesting scenery, particularly the motocross track on the way to GZ, but once there, the cache was soon in hand and the log signed. TFTC MalDawg Very HappyClan Cerberus

Thanks for adding more fun to our day MalDawg.

After finding Island of Sodor we decided to tackle a few more GA caches nearby. As we are not locals it took as a little time to locate the correct access road but we got there in the end.

We found the cache well hidden and in good condition despite having only been found once since it was published.

Thanks MalDawg for another GA cache and for showing us this part of Toowoomba.

(FTF) Early in Toowoomba and I aranged the GCA hides in an order that would not have me back tracking. I have two GC hides on this road and this one is not far past my second one. Drove off the road onto the side track and soon had the container in hand. All good with this one. Can be accessed off the main track but why scramble when you can take a short leisurely stroll to GZ.
