Description
Little Digger is a moveable cache set during the Summer Scavenger Series.
Little Digger has been living in our garden for the last couple of years so he could acquire a suitably weathered look before venturing off into the big wide world. He now feels ready to make a break for it and has taken up a starting position with a sea view. He's keen to travel and meet as many teams as possible.
Please log a find with a green tick and a move with a blue arrow, move Little Digger on within two days and hide him somehwere safe from prying eyes.
Happy travels little guy!

Took a chance that Little Digger may be in residence and sure enough he was. Collected and deposited in the geocruiser.

After destroying the original gnome, I replaced him and he has been in my car for the last two weeks. It was time to let him go and I found a nice roomy armco that is situated between caches of all types and religions (GA and GC, that is).

Met alnic39 and found this gnome doing a runner heading out on a road trip.

Sincerest apologies to the CO...when I retrieved this one from its hiding spot, it came with a huntsman inside. I reacted as I always do and threw the gnome 20 feet into the air (dropped it really) and it smashed on the ground. I have found a new gnome, but slightly smaller and with a Christmas theme...I hope you like your new look gnome.

Dropped off along this road - S34 23.366 E150 29.255
picked up on a morning after going to the fish markets – needed to justify the unjustifiable road tolls that you pay - so did a little caching in this part north of Sydney on the way home. Found the Little Digger nicely & was nice to find & pick up to move on – many thanks

I finally had a chance to move a bunch of moveables in my possession this week. The are 'Resting' between a place of wanderer rest and permanent rest in a the stump of a tree that was put to rest quite some time ago.
In stump just off the road across from the Holiday Park entry and a couple of meters back toward the cemetery entry. Should be covered in a bit of leaf litter.

Driving by here that and stopped to pick up a few friends. Where will they go next?
Found this moveable, as well as a swag of other ones between Casino and Lismore NSW - Never before have so many moveable caches appeared in my local area, so I took a drive and picked them all up. There's a few other cachers that I'm sure will love to see them too, so I'll share the love around and then they'll soon be on their way to their next location. Thanks for hiding this one!
If this is no longer at the coordinates last listed below in Gungahlin, then where did it end up?
As Tasmanians now in Canberra we were really keen to find this one given its starting point in Hobart?

4 of us searched about 30 mins but there was no sign of this cache in the current location, or anywhere nearby?
I hope it's still around, such a shame if it's lost after travels from Tasmania to SA to Canberra!

I was heading off to Adelaide for the Christmas break, but I was never going to go the most direct way. I managed to find plenty of caches to do on a way I do not usually have many to do. The museum was shut, but I walked along the bank till I reached the spot for this guy. I have taken him on a trip.
Thanks

welcome to a part of the beautiful Mighty Murray. a pretty quiet location where you can picnic or watch the ferry. Easy access from carpark of the machine preservation entrance. Otherwise feel free to do the workout and take the steps! The cache is in a safe accessible spot. Please Do Not go over the permapine railing. Enjoy a picnic instead.
Been a while since we've been cachibg. First cache we found with our little people. And to find this little guy was super exciting for them! Decided to take and move this little guy on...
So this little digger gnome has been moved near some beach views. He wont see too much though because he is covered by some pine needles.
safe travels little gnome!

This moveable and a few others were relocated from interstate to a reserve not too far away. It was therefore essential to grab the dog and the geo kids and to go on a gnome hunting adventure. The race was on between the 13 year old and the 10 year old on who could find the GCAs first, anything we can do to keep them interested. I think the 10 year old won in the end as the eldest gave up.
I will look after your GCA for a short period, then get it back into action for other SA GCA cachers to find.
Thanks for creating this cache for us to find, move and enjoy!

Little Digger is ready for a tour of South Australia.
While collecting some moveables on the Domain in Hobart in early July we found a black bag containing 7 moveables that had been on the eastern shore. They were behind a log where one of the moveables we were looking for had been hidden. Little Digger was one of the bag residents. As we were unsure about how they got there we took them with us. Forgot they were in the back of the boot until we removed everything to but a large article in earlier this week.
As we are in Adelaide we decided to drop them off for the locals to find.

There was a commotion at the door and we found fifteen moveables looking for a bed for the night. Not sure they will think it was a luxurious resort after fighting for space in a couple of boxes on the couch that they had to share with the another guest, our son's dog! After a busy night for the host the fifteen moveables were provided with a luxurious breakfast (apart from the instant coffee). Now Little Digger is ready to hit the road again. Thanks Sharnie's Tribe for the fun moveable.
Sorry about the lengthy logs. We are currently aiming for a dragon zone virtual verbosity trophy. We have just received the 100 word trophy, so now aiming for the 150 word trophy. For all new GCA cachers, a warning, write a decent log to start with in case you want to get these virtual trophies down the track. Having now passed 2000 GCA finds with a lot of one word logs (on many moveables) makes for a lot of typing now!
We are participating in the States of the Nation games which are currently running from 16 December 2017 until 21 January 2018 and we will try and use this find against one of the scavenges.
States of the Nation is a real and virtual geocaching scavenger hunt where your home state will compete against other Australian states to find and hide geocaches. Over the 5 week course of the game there will be hundreds of scavenges that you can track down, find and convert into points for your state. Some scavenges will be easy. Some scavenges will be tough. Some scavenges may be impossible. Don't despair. You are not competing just for yourself; you are competing as a state.
There will be a number of scavenges released on a weekly basis but each scavenge will remain until the end of the game. This means even if you decide to join the game part way through, the early scavenges are still available for you to claim. Scavenges will require you to find a geocache, hide a geocache, attend an event or do something else completely different. The game focuses on all aspects of geocaching and so all cache types, sizes, terrain and difficulty will be up for scavenging. TrigPoints, Events, History, Virtual, Webcam, Podcache and Locationless geocaches are all scavengable, so you're not just looking for a box under a bush. Each week there will be a mix of physical, non-physical and locationless geocaches so even if you are not in a geocache rich area, use the locationless component of scavenger series to get out, find something to log and gain points for your state. If you watch the scavenges as they are released you might also spot the 'not so hidden' patterns and plan for future weeks of the series.
Hiding geocaches will also be a large part of the scavenger series, but please remember this is a game of geocaching and geocaches that you hide should be long lasting, be of good quality and you should be proud of what you hide. Please avoid hiding a geocache just for the day so your state can find it before you archive it. Geocaches that exist for a short period of time may result in any claims on that geocache being disqualified. Play creatively, but also play fairly. More geocachers hiding more geocaches makes for more geocaching fun.

The States of the Nation games have helped boost our dragon zone points and we have achieved a few milestone trophies as well.
Have you joined a clan? Enhance your geocaching experience by joining a clan and being a part of the Dragon Zone. Choose a team Clan Griffin , Clan Phoenix , Clan Cerberus or Clan Minotaur . Earn trophies and rise through the ranks from Dragon Fodder to Ruler of the Universe.
whitewebbs are now a geocache themselves as we have published a 'Geocacher cache' GA10805 - Where's whitewebbs? - so if you spot us out and about in the field sign our log book and receive a code word to earn yourself a smiley.

This moveable is out again. Another step closer to meeting the requirements for the DragonZone Weekend Traveller Challenge (move 25 moveables between 250km and 500km).
We had planned one caching trip to Hobart and the Eastern Shore during The Christmas in July game. The ground kept shifting as new Trophy challenges were added so we needed to add more GA caches to out to find list. Not only did we need cache finds for Christmas in July, we needed a cache for a Frigid Solstice, 10 GA Dragon Zone caches for the 12th for the find 25 caches on each day of the month as well as 13 moveables that we need to move between 250 and 500km and a cache in the Sorell council area, we had found caches in Sorell before Dragon Zone but needed one after April 2014. Of course there were also unfound GC caches in the areas we were going to visit. All this meant our to find list was quite long and we were unlikely to manage to knock them all off today. We also needed a day that the weather Bureau forecast predicted would be mainly fine. July 12 looked like it.
We usually leave home quite early however with the threat of ice on sections of the Bass and Midlands highways we decided to head off just before 7:00. We did have the added complication of dosing our daughter's cat with its antibiotic pill. It only took one person to administer a pill to our last cat however daughter's cat, that is smaller definitely needs two people one to make sure the pill goes in and is swallowed and the second to firmly hold cat particularly her paws. After leaving our place we headed to daughter's abode where we were greeted by a nature strip strewn with her household garbage - today was bin day in her street. There was no bin in sight. It appeared that someone had tipped her bin out and stolen the bin. After dosing the cat we found a large bin bag, collected the scattered garbage and took it back to our place so that it could go out with ours tomorrow.
Off we headed again an hour later than we had intended. There was little likelihood of ice on the roads at this time even though there was quite thick frost on the road edges at Latrobe, Deloraine and Westbury. We turned off the Midlands Highway on to the Mud Walls Road and headed through Colebrook and Campania then on to Sorell and Midway Point. This was one of the moveable caches on our list.
Found this one in its safe hide will take it on a little trip to fulfil the requirements of a DZ Trophy.

Little Digger is out again ready to move on. Happy travels.
Just heading out for a family birthday dinner when notification of new caches came through. Not enough time to visit Guide Falls or Burnie but maybe enough to collect the moveable on Old Coast Road. A quick diversion and a short walk from the parking spot. A few odd looks from drivers passing by - dinner gear in this area and no bride insight attracts attention. We were soon at GZ and located the little one at the base of the tree. Blank log so second {FTF} this afternoon.
Thanks for the cache Sharnie's Tribe for a great little cache. We will get the Little Digger back on the road soon.
