Logs
As an historic cache, it is indeed unfortunate that none of the local geocachers are willing to take on this cache for the benefit of the Geocaching community.
As this cache would appear to have run it's life and has now been abandoned, I'm taking the next step and de-listing - sorry.
As there has been no response to the last request/s to attend to this cache, or provide regular updates, the cache is being de-listed on the basis that it has been abandoned by the Cache Owner.
If there are components or remnants of the cache, please return to the GZ and collect the cache (or remnants). We don't want to litter our environment with Georubbish.
Caches that have been archived for lack of maintenance will not be unarchived. This is explained here: [**Unarchive a geocache**](http://support.groundspeak.com//index.php?pg=kb.page&id=70).
If you wish to contact me regarding this cache, please send an email via my profile - [**Bunjil,**](https://coord.info/PR9GZ0K) and quote the cache name and GC number.

### **ACTION REQUIRED** ###
----------
I note that it was placed in 2006 therefore it does have some historical significance and I am reluctant to take any immediate action, hence I have temporarily Unarchived the cache.
The cache owner needs to indicate when they expect the issues associated with this placement will be fixed/resolved. You might like to check if a local cacher will maintain it for your or alternatively, pass it on for adoption by a local cacher - see here: [**Adopt or transfer a geocache**](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=54)
### If the cache owner can no longer maintain this placement, is there a local geocacher who is prepared to adopt the cache from the current CO or alternatively maintain it as a Community Cache? **A response by 8th September ** would be appreciated.###
Just place a Write Note log on this page and send and email: [email protected] indicating your intention and including cache name and GC Identification.

###**CACHE OWNER ACTION REQUIRED PLEASE**###
----------
I notice from one or more log entries that this cache would seem to be in need of some help - **there appears to be a need for owner intervention.**
Therefore, the cache is being temporarily disabling so as to stop it showing up on search lists and to give the owner an opportunity to check on the cache, and take whatever action is necessary.
The guidelines indicated that regular visits to check on the cache, as well as prompt attention to any logs that indicate there is a problem, are part of the [**cache owners responsibilities.**](https://www.geocaching.com/play/guidelines#listingmaintenance) I cannot see any log that indicates a recent visit by the CO to this cache.
If you can't attend to the issue promptly, then you need to [**Disable it**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=235) - I have Disabled it for you this time.
**Can you please respond to this situation (or indicated your intention) by 6th August,** so others know exactly what is happening with this cache?
You have lots of choices so pick the one that applies from this handy list:
- Repair and/or Replace your cache or do whatever else is needed, post an [**Owner Maintenance log**](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404) and [**ENABLE your cache.**](https://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235 ) Then sit back and wait for the praises.
- If you don't plan on fixing it up then please [**Archive it**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=56) so it is removed from searches and someone else can have the spot. Don't forget to remove any remnants of your previously enjoyed cache too.
- If you really hope to get it fixed but there is some unusual reason why you can't do it soon, then at least post a Write Note log (by 6th August). Be sure to indicate the actual date that you expect to have it fixed so that everyone knows you are on top of it.
You might wonder what happens if you don't pick one of those. Well, if nothing happens, it is likely that I will need to Archive it on the basis that it has been abandoned. Honestly, I'd rather you decide so please do something before then.
Please don't send me an email but instead follow the instructions posted above.

Found on our way home after staying at Millicent for a few days. Thanks for the cache Rizzos!

This cache appears to be in need of owner attention. The lid is broken and no longer weatherproof. This type of container (Take Away plastic press top) are notorious for being unsuitable as a cache container as they are not overly robust or long lasting.

Based in Millicent, for a few days, with our caching buddies and fellow Victorians, the Suscoe duo. Today we enjoyed a coastal adventure from Beachport to Southend. The scenery was stunning, equal to, if not more impressive than Vitoria's Great Ocean Road in parts. Again places we would not have visited had someone not placed a cache there.
It was fascinating to learn about the drainage system as we made our way among the cache sites today.
Thanks 'The Rizzos' for placing caches for everyone's enjoyment.

Suscoe was out and about today with our good friends Phetlern yet again for a day of fun caching and seeing the sights and sites of the area between Millicent, Southend and Beachport.
What an amazing area and we really enjoyed the coastal scenery with the sandstone and limestone cliffs and the sea coming in in waves.
It was a cold start to the day but with a clear sky early we had a delightful day with sunshine and an almost warm touch to the air later in the afternoon.
Thanks to The Rizzos for this hide, what an amazing project and it took so long to complete.

Traveling from Victor Harbor to Mt Gambier. Along the way we are stopping for a few caches, some to break up the drive, others that caught our eye. Thanks for the caches.
VikingNav and I are driving from Victor Harbor to Mount Gambier today. We made the trip even better by geocaching our way down the roads and trails. This was one of the fun finds we made along the way. Thanks for placing this cache here to help make the trip more enjoyable. I appreciate your contribution to the Caching world!
Found it, although we almost didn’t continue to look, after being only a foot away from standing on a snake, it almost deterred is from going further! So keep your eyes peeled, it was only a baby, but still very dangerous.
The scrub has been cleared, but the cache is still there, just back a bit. Happy hunting everyone. TFTC

This years destination was the beautiful little place called Millicent & Beachport.
The group consisted of a few Mexicans TR! and Snap Happy and Best state SA Snappy Tom Cats, Chrispy89 and of course the Travellinbees and GeoDog Chester.
We had set our goals on 4wd from Beachport to Nora Creina. We nearly made it to NC however due to a 4wd rollover we could not complete the last bit of the course.
it was an AMAZING day and the Bee's loved testing out "Lucy" the paj (4WD fans will get the reference)
This cache was one of the few collected over the week long stay here. There where some clever hides, some creative, some just plain obvious and a number of DNF'd. Over all it was a great little part of our state.
TFTC and happy Travels Travellinbees
So the story goes like this.... we are here on holidays with 3 SA cachers. We are staying in an interesting AirBNB.... But the important thing is, we are all together again, and we haven't been so since Easter 2017. This was the 1st of the trip with this crew..
The other crew has finally arrived, to round out the trip to 3 SA teams and 2 Vic teams.
Found this one, signed log and replaced as found.

We have based ourselves in Millicent and have ventured out to as many surrounding areas as possible in a day to go sight seeing and caching. This was one we targetted and found. Thanks to The Rizzos for placement of this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.
Found on our way back to Beachport after a busy day caching and sightseeing. Relatively easy find. TFTC
Stopped off here after some 4 wheel driving adventures in Canauna Conservation Reserve on our way back to Beachport. [^]
Another drain, but this one with a bit of history.
Could not get to this one from the first location, but had to go the long way and then cache found easily.
Thanks for the cache The Rizzos.

I don't know how many times I have driven through on the way to somewhere else and never noticed this was here. Replacement / temparary log is nearly full but will be right for a few more until maintenance can be completed. Thanks for the cache.
Pulled up for a look because it looked interesting and a suitable place for a cache. Fire up c:geo to find there was one. Took a bit of looking. Geocaching with a phone can be frustrating. Expanded the search for an easy find. Thanks
A quick find, spotted a feral cat lurking in the bushes, interesting location. Thanks for the cache. SL
Travelled from Tailem Bend to Millicent with the caravan, picking up caches along the way.
We saw some historical sites, and other interesting places.
A variety of caches were found, making the day more enjoyable with the many breaks.
All caches were located quickly, signed and replaced as found.
Many thanks for placing this cache, The Rizzos, for us and others to find.

Our second day caching the lower South East with CPWanderer & hevwalker.
Having completed some walking caches at Southend, I was happy to complete some less strenuous ones.
CPWanderer took the front & I went around the back, which proved to be useful.
Thanks for the cache The Rizzos

Picking up some great Traditionals, multis and puzzles and a number of earthcaches. We also attended the Aussie Outback Event in Mount Gambier and local teams FT016 and Spanner111 took us on a nightcaching run!
A quick find .... thanks!

A group of our friends were going to stay a few days at Beachport so we decided that we would leave the day before. Give me some time to find some caches on the way.
First night at Coomandook and then on to Naracoorte and then arriving at the beach found that the others who had left that morning had arrived before us.
H'mm, geocaching can waste a great amount of time!
Yesterday I reported that the weather was very poor, well today Monday, it was worse.
And then Tuesday turned out to be no better. Maybe this is the norm for this part of the world.
Still today we drove into Mount Gambier Which was very nice and found and signed a few caches on the way.
This was one of them.

5090 Found by baby&Mrs gopher at 1445. On our way further east towards Nelson today. Your cache does need a lot of TLC. We were glad someone had left an interim log book SL Tnx The Rizzos
Heading towards Beachport Owl and Bowerbird commented that this would be a good place for a cache. On the way back they found one! Owl wouldn't want to do this in the summer as it took a while to actually find the correct nook. An interesting location and well worth the stop.
Was it at the front or the back? Sat lock had me all over the place and where I looked it wasn't.
Making my way back home from Mt Gambier with my faithful companion, geodog, Mandy.
I thought I would have a quick look around with Mandy on her lead before locating this cache. I didn't think I would actually see anybody drive past me around the back but some locals did. They headed to the bridge, or whatever the structure was, and stopped there. They were far enough away so I quickly locate the cache, sign the log and place it back. TFTC The Rizzos

Despite accurate coordinates, it still took some hunting before we located this cache. The cache and contents were in good condition. The nearby drain and the display certainly gives some insight into the importance of the drainage system in the south east to making land accessible for agriculture. Thanks The Rizzos for the cache.
Found it after a quick search , thanks!
A bit soggy, tried to dry it, but needs a new log book.

Day 2 at Millicent. This morning we headed to Beachport & Southend to tour th area & find some caches.
What stunning views from many locations. We were also amazed by the many pieces of art in the town.
This was such an enjoyable morning of caching.

Very interesting, have driven past many times without stopping. Took us a little time to find but enjoyed the stop. Left a scrapbooking embellishment.
Needs a bit of tlc, container has seen better days. Unfortunately I had nothing to replace it with.
Found while out bike riding from Southend taking advantage of the road widening out here .

Camped at Millicent for a few days. We decided we would head out to Southend and do some touring up there as we missed it from Kingston
Forecast was for showers only, so we eventually dragged ourselves out and onto the road..
Some interesting history here.
