Glad to have a cache after not realising I needed to reception to do the other caches puzzles. That'll learn me
Found quickly, despite looking in the wrong place at first. Cache was very well hidden, TFTC!
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Today steffixx and me spent another wonderful day here in Queenstown and in the afternoon, we spent one rain-free hour here at Moke Lake. On our walk, we passed this point and found this cache. Took a TB out of it and signed the dry logbook. A big thank you to Trigger_Fish for leading us here and for showing this place and of course also for maintaining this cache here on site!Best wishes from the North Sea, Germany, from Cuxine . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . ________________oooooooo____________oooooooooooooo_________oooooooooooooooooo________oooooooooooooooooooo_______oooooooooooooooooooo____oooooo_______oooooooooooooooooooo___ooo__ooo_______oooooooooooooooooooo__oooo____oo________oooooooooooooooooooooooo_________oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo_oooo_______oooooooooooooooooo________ooooo___ooooooooooooooooooooooo_________oo_ooo____oooooooooooooooooooooooooo_____oooooooo__ooo_oooooo__________oo___oooo_______ooo__ooo_ooo______oooo__ooo_______oooo___ooo__ooo___ooooo___ooo_____ooo___ooo____oo____ooo____oooooo__ooo____ooooooo____________ooo_____ooooo____ooo
Easy one! Beautiful lake and mountains. Left trackable. Easy walk from parking area or do the loop around the lake. TFTC.
Enjoyed my visit here, especially sitting up on the hill with a panoramic view
Found in a day of exploring this beautiful countryside rather than skiing the slopes. TFTC

A trail run around the lake, and a cache at the end. Thank you for bringing us here. So beautiful.
Was rainy day but we were unbreakable and decided to go on mission to see beautiful Moke lake and then we stumbled at this hidden geocach. Finding it was pretty easy but excitment was quite high. We had loads of fun on hike because my navigation skill was on level 0 which took us on small side adventure. Thanks to creature of the universe.
Easy find on a beautiful day. Definitely a well used log book inside. All in good condition
Had a spare day in Queenstown and drove up to Moki Lake and walked around it with several friends. TFTC
We stayed at this beautiful campsite. During our morning walk we found the cache. Thanks for placing this cache.
We wondered what was going on as we approached this cache. Lots of big men looking as if they weree about to do something energetic. Sydney Roosters, as it turned out, on a camp. Thanks for the hide.

I am helping out my kids who are doing the Routeburn Track. So I am caching when I can from Christchurch to Queenstown to Glenorchy to Te Anau and then back to Christchurch. A team building rogaine was about to start. It was the Roosters NRL team. Too much testosterone around for me.
Co ordinates a bit jumpy here, but eventually they settled down & led us to the hide. Not quite as large as we anticipated, but easy to find. A beautiful spot & very peaceful. Thanks for placing this one.
Found that one on a rainy day on this beautiful island!

After meeting another chatty fellow hiker it was time to find this cache. The cache was a little further than I anticipated but it gave a muggle a good chance to search for the cache. What a good place to introduce someone to our secrete world. Upon completing the cache I was about to head back, wait I'm already here, why not to the loop walk. Well worth it, thanks for bringing me out here.
We just solved two puzzles nearby, and decided to go a bit further to find this cache and have another view of the lake. It is a bit cold and rainy for the complete loop. but nice place. Easy find at GZ. Thanks for placing this, both container and logbook were in good condition. Track was a bit muddy, but mostly frozen, so we didn't get very muddy.
Didn't take any fotos while we were here so there's just one of the Fergburger we had for lunch in Queenstown before we came out here. Yum. Tftc
A nice quick find thanks. A bit of an oldie, and a pretty straightforwar find.
Ms_KR and I are on a wee South Island break. Today we cruised around Queeenstown. We live in an amazing country, and today was one out of the bag. Glorious, weatherwise and the mountains were just stunning.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

Staying some more days in Queenstown and enjoyed our walk around the Lake. TFTC
A few people camping here and a few fishing. Also a funeral taking place. A sad day for those attending. Must have been a person who loves the outdoors.
Thanks for bringing me out here.

Found together with KiwiLeon on our way back from the bush. A couple were getting married in the rain and wind as we went past
We were down doing the Milford track and had a couple of extra days in Queenstown so decided to do an extra walk each day rather than just eat yummy food. So out we came here to do the 2 hour walk around the lake
Wow what a day. Love the Autumn colours. Thanks for bringing me here

What spectacular weather and scenery awaited us when we arrived. We looked across the water and thought how incredible it would be to kayak it. We turned around and saw a kayaker had just arrived and we spoke to him with envy. He said these opportunities and conditions were too good to pass up. A perfect day for the wedding that had also just commenced. The perfect place to take a horse trek. I’m not religious but I felt blessed to be here with Merlot and Mr Pazza. Thanks for bringing us here!!!
What a beautiful place this is, thanks for bringing us here. A wedding was taking place nearby, what a fabulous backdrop!
Wow, what a beautiful place! Definitely a fave here. I could have stayed here for... a long time. I will be back again for sure. TFTC!!!
enjoyed our drive out this way, I had been wanting to get up here since I first hear about it. Unfortunately we did not check the weather forecast and after drinking coffee with friends , we set off but the rain had settled in by the time we arrived up here about noon. Time for a walk in the rain but no bike ride as planned.
Will have to come back for that

We spent some days in Queenstown during christmas and made a one day trip to Moke Lake after reading about it. We had great weather and enjoyed a walk along the shore, there were some horses on the paddock next to it and a lot of berries just ready to be picked and eaten.
This cache was also quickly found (logging it online took a bit longer as you can see).
Thanks for making us come out here, peaceful place. The camping wasn't very full, surprisingly at this time of the year.

We came out here for the morning along with many other people, fishing, walking, camping and biking. A lovely spot for all those activities.
+ a large marble, - nothing.

Found the cache easily and sat down and took my time to write in the log to 1) enjoy the view and 2) wait for the family of muggles to pass that were loudly approaching. Returned the cache to its hiding spot once they were out of view. Great spot. Thanks for bringing me here and thanks for the cache.
What an amazing place! We have been to Queenstown so many times over the last 30 years and didn't know this place existed. Well it will be well visited by us from now on as it is a wonderful picnic spot and the lake can be fished using bait. We would have gone fishing today as the fish were all jumping but M had left the worms behind at our accomodation. We enjoyed walking for the cache and we placed one of our own. This place certainly deserves more. Definitely a favourite point!
#294 first time visiting this place. Lovely spot, would worth more caches here on the loop. TFTC
Day off from looking after two girls so I decided to find my 1 000. cache. I walked Mt Crichton Look Track, Lake Dispute Walkway, Moke Lake to Lake Dispute Track, then around the lake and back to carpark. Then, my 1 000. cache, last today, was found in Twelve mile delta. Thank for all caches, they really improve enjoying of my life!
Havent been to Moke Lake before. Busy road in but well worthwhile once there. Loved walking to GZ, will return another day to do the entire loop. TFTC
We found this cache during our holidays. We found this beautiful place at a hikingtour.

This has been on the to do list for a very long time. After a pizza at The Fork & Tap in Arrowtown we made our way out here. Took the back road to Queenstown before we got stuck in the holiday traffic.
Not sure what to expect coming out here, it certainly wasn’t all the people camping nor all the paradise ducks either swimming on the lake or wandering around a paddock nor a photo op of a bride & groom, must have been for a magazine. Anyhoo the cache was soon in hand, log signed & returned to its stony hide. QEF TFTC

Nice lake just down the road from our accommodation. Had to find it on our second visit as the first time I didn’t have the details loaded before we lost phone reception. I knew the rough location, but too many rocks to choose from.
Got it on a walk round the lake with a diversion to Lake Dispute and part of the Mt Chrichton Loop.

It was a drive up here! Not many people at the lake. Some ducks made our acquaintance and we saw some babies!
KL6 and I are in NZ for 16 days or so exploring the South Island. We plan to visit the Fjordland and all the up the Punakaki flat rock vía the west coast. Then back down to the lakes, Punaki, Tekapo, and Wanaka. Finally back in Queenstown after our huge campervan adventure.
Thanks to Moneydork for the Cache! Found around 1:32 PM - signed as Wæki3 (shorthand for Wæki3_KL6). This is Find #2149. We’ve also contributed a lot of caches in the Flagstaff Arizona area, and currently to date we’ve hidden 85 caches.

Camped here last night but was so tired after the Tiki trail yesterday never even checked for a cache. Great scenery and a nice campsite.
Wanting to leave early to get a parking space in town then noticed the cache on the satnav. Bummer. Quick sprint around the track to grab it.

Apologies for logging so late.
Found with SW, GV, Mr&Mrs in June.
We were in town for the Luma festival.
Moke Lake has always been on my bucket list of places to visit, ever since camping as a young adult at 12 mile delta at new year's.
There was fresh snow on the fence posts heading in, thought I'd get photo on way out but had melted.
Arrived at start of track to find it underwater, no keen to get warm and dry feet wet, decided it wasn't meant to be today. Walked downstream a little, found a plank to cross which was just under water. Still not keen, i ran down a bit more to find a dry spot to cross. Walked back as out of breath, to the others already across the plank. Wasn't keen on wet feet all day, but didn't want to be let behind. Surpisingly crossed with reasonably dry feet, and 2 fish swam from under my feet.
Admired the views as we walked along to GZ. Saw some recently fresh wedding flowers strewn neat lake side, also another wedding party arriving as we left. A quick find, slightly wetter feet heading back as water level had risen, possibly melted snow?
Thanks for the cache, and helping with my bucket list.

The second day of winter and already it's gearing up to be a cold one. Slight snow skiffs dusted the surrounding mountains, making it look absolutely stunning. The lake was like glass. The track in was flooded so we found another entry point, which still earned us all a matching set of wet feet but we also spotted a number of brown trout. Got to the other side and looked back to see a couple of cheeky buggers in a silver Toyota trying all the doors on my car and looking in my windows. We shouted a few warnings at them and took photos and they slowly backed away. Take care here, theres opportunistic people everywhere. What a beautiful place GZ is! On the way back to the main road we encountered some inbound traffic with the occupants all dolled up for a wedding. That would make a breath taking backdrop. TFTC
After a night enjoying the Lights (and Gnomes) in Queenstown last night visiting Moke Lake was suggested. It has been a place on our bucket list as a place to visit, especially after friends have been talking about it lots lately. So after we headed, winding along the lake then zig zagging up the saddle and then down to the lake, opps nope thats lake kirkpatrick... oh here we are... WOW, what a stunning location!! right wheres this cache? hmm, might have to be a did not attempt, the wee bridge is flooded with over a foot of water covering it... so some nosing around we found an alternative route across a slightly submerged foot bridge (slightly damp boot), headed off along the lake front enjoying the vista's across the lake, valley and surrounding snow capped mountains. A quick search at GZ and the cache was in hand. Signed, some group selfies taken and then returned the cache and returned to the car. We will be back to explore more.
Found this one a couple days ago but no internet. Moke Lake is really a beautifull and quiet place. We loved it. Thanks.

Overshot it, had to bike back. A swift is nesting behind the cache, don't know which of us were more surprised! A big thunderstorm came in just after I got the cache.
