I'm surprised I had never found this one before. Very impressed by the stamped bars. I think someone must have borrowed my number stamps . Great to see the old container and big log in great condition. Thanks for the fun TS. Another favourite for sure.
A cool walk in the forest to complete the multi and locate this older cache. No issues at all (beyond witnessing the poor control of blackberry around here!), and cache quickly found at GZ in excellent condition. Great to discover the original logbook still in use. Thanks, Tankengine!
We heard about a Mega in Canberra a year ago. Having never been to the big capital, we booked our accommodation and the planning began.Which caches shall we do? Wow they really love their mystery caches in ACT! Ok, we need to get our thinking caps on and solve some of these puzzles pronto. There were many heads put together to solve some of these and many headaches created along the way.We have made the trek from Adelaide to be here and appreciate the efforts of all those involved to make the Capital Geobash happen.
Today we found Canadian Cache on our travels. On a brief visit to Canberra for the Easter Megaso many caches, not enough time!A nice day for a walk in the forestThanks Tankengine for being part of our geocaching fun.
Found 29 Mar 2024 at 12:04:01pmOut and about with earthbound chief and Team_Crumble in a beautiful sunny day. Many thanks to Tankengine for placing Canadian Cache for us all to find
Having arrived in Canberra, we headed to the Mega HQ to complete our signing duties and registration, pick up our show bag, and catch up with many old friends; then, it was out to taste some of the array of caches on offer in the Australian Capital Territory.Day 2 and I was out asolo caching. With this in mind, we stopped quite a bit on the journey to find many caches and endeavoured to get closer to qualifying for more Challenge caches. We will use some relatively generic logs with the sheer number of logs we need to complete after the Mega. We are tired and need more brain power to do much more than that.We want to thank all the cache owners for placing the caches for us to find. Unless otherwise noted, we found all caches in excellent condition.Thank you, Tankengine, for this Multicache.
#1531 After running out of time yesterday whilst out this way we were still keen on finding this cache. We headed towards WP1 and found a somewhat familiar item to continue our journey. We traversed the terrain and fauna which has definitely grown immensely in the last 15 years of this caches lifetime (almost 16). We worked our way through the remaining waypoints and soon found the cache at GZ. A brilliant idea for the cache and although I’m not sure if it ever hit off as intended, it’s still a great idea. After looking through the items in the cache we added our names to the log and we headed back towards the vehicle, Turtle was keen for a climb before we headed back home to start with Christmas traditions. Thanks Tankengine for the grand hide
#3376 Came out early with DeadThief to have a look for this cache. We ran out of time yesterday and had to be home before Santa arrived. An interesting area that may have been much more hike friendly back in the day. All waypoints still in place and clear and cache quickly located.
Now to head home for the gift giving. Thanks Tankengine for the cache.

Wow, impressive this Tupperware container has lasted for so long. It's looking a little degraded but is still keeping everything dry.

Found with Jondub. This was a surprise multi cache for us, so we weren’t prepared with any souvenirs to swap TFTC
Tftc , our second day in ACT, cherry picking caches that we need for challenges, D/T, or type / size.
Plenty of solved mysteries also to pick up.
Multis to do... We must be in Canberra.
Found it eventually.

Did this cache with a group who logged as THE MOB. All in all we were appreciative of the CO's efforts in putting them out. Apologies for the generic log but what can one do?
We stamped the logs as "The Mob" to save space in the logs - today there were 6 teams caching together: Team Crackers, The Drovers, Phetlern, Alansee, the lovely micaparamedic and myself.
Most of the cache finds were straight forward, yet a couple stumped us. A few were located where it was difficult to safely pull the car off of the road, but we made it work with some creative maneuvers.
2020 was not a great year, and the beginnings of 2021 have also been tricky - so when it looked like the various borders would be open again (without quarantine restrictions), a trip that was planned at the Clear Waters mega was able to occur.
Adelaide, Victoria, NSW and Canberra - a decent drive, filled with various caching activities including Adventure Labs.
Several days caching with the awesome Team Crackers, gorgeous The Drovers, fab Phetlern, cool Alansee, and the lovely micaparamedic.
We laughed, sang to a vast variety of songs and chatted - almost non-stop! [^] We piled into cars and had such a fun time. Despite the light showers, windy conditions at times, we also had sunny days to enjoy caching in.
A sincere thanks to Tankengine for placing these caches, including the enjoyable little series.

Day 2 - travelling from Murrumbateman, to Queanbeyan.
We found this multi quite interesting, and with a large group the information was soon gathered.
Many thanks for placing this cache, Tankengine, and yes, we have been to Canada.

I only needed one cache for my personal challenge today - a multi. After being thwarted on a nearby one, this would be my target. After obtaining the coordinates of GZ I made my way towards it. Sam(sung) took me in circles for quite a while, but I enjoyed the adventure. Cache was found easily and the log was signed and replaced. TFTC
Happy Canada Day! I’ve driven past this one a hundred times but today seemed like an appropriate day for the find. I got a chance to meet JLAM-D a few times when we first started caching in Ottawa. Too bad the sister cache in Canada has been archived. TFTH
Heading home from a great weekend away within the ACT I wanted to pick up a multi while I was here so stopped in to take a look at this one,I was soon on my way,WP2 was a little wet under foot but nothing a cacher cant handle,I circled GZ a few times before spotting the hide,I haven't been to Canada but imagine it looks something like this place

With a few free hours whilst the kids were at Czech class, targeted a few close by Multies and Mysteries. All solved quickly and without issue, the mysteries earlier in the week, the multies as I went. Windy again today, how long will it last? TNLNSL TFTC
Found 6/10 with ZimbaW and the ridgeopup, felt like a bit of an adventure through the trees and avoiding dead kangaroo bits and pieces. ZimbaW was first to find each tag and I was lucky enough to spot the final cache first.

This one is close to home and I have been meaning to complete it for a very long time. Out for a couple of caches with the SisterOutlaw today so we took the opportunity to check this one.
We parked in the entrance to the second driveway we came across and then walked back along the road to WP1. We had the Ridgeopup with us so the nearby traffic was a bit of a concern but there was enough verge for her to stay well out of harms way.
We found both WPs pretty quickly and they were easy to interpret.
I was glad for the SOL at GZ as she saw the cache quickly while approaching from a different angle than me - I was could have spent some time unfruitfully searching amongst a large pile of cachy hiding spots nearby.
Thanks Tankengine

With a couple of hours to spare this afternoon we decided to pick up/start a few caches including this one. After picking up the 'Fairbairn Forest II' cache we collected this one closeby. We dodged the blackberries that are slowly taking over this place. We quickly found the waypoints but it took a little time to find GZ which was out by 3m today however it is well camouflaged. It was in front of us the whole time. We left a Kangaroo key ring and signed the log book. Now off to start 'Multiple Molonglo' before dark sets in.
Interesting is an place so close to a huge industrial business. TFTC Tankengine and JLAM-D.

SL with a sticker containing our names and returned cache to its hide'y hole. Thanks for the new cache that we could add to our caching collection. *DustyJasperJet* found the first tag - very clever he was. I punched in the new numbers and we went off on a nice little journey to the next clue. This was my opportunity to grab the tag and so I did. I punched in the new numbers and then the fun began. Growl, grunt, groan ... using my phone in here was not a good idea, the find was made even more difficult by the unsettled gps. It took us a fair time to find the container, but find it we did. It was great to see the collection of Canadian and Australian trinkets within, although I was disappointed by some of the content as I had been looking very much forward to finding this cache for any months and imagined seeing something really special, but it was kind of not so with the contents being lesser than anticipated. I forgot to bring something to add, but now I know where it is I will try to remember to save all the little Aussie things I find and fill this up when I come this direction again some time. I do love Canada too so this is a fav cache.
**The Day**
OCW *Little Kitten* and *DustyJapserJet*. Not much happening in our neck of the woods today. Took a little trip into Canberra to the an event and grabbed some other caches too, a huge day picking up a huge haul of six.

Lots of laughter today as 5 cachers got into a car and went crazy. We were all from SA, and are log signing name today was JAMSS or JAMSS- SA. The teams in order were JJ52, Aussie M & M, mogni, SpidermonkeysMum and Southern Cross Caching.
We did the math and ended up finding this cache. We were aiming to do as many Tankengine caches as possible for the Monopoly game that mogni was enjoying. The alliteration of letters in your cache names helped us non locals a lot.

I decided to travel down from Brisbane to the Mega in Queanbeyan and spend 2 weeks here and in Canberra collecting caches on a rather lengthy to-do list.
Today the scheduled plan had been to go for a lengthy walk in Namadgi National Park but a fuel system warning light came on in the car only 20 minutes from my destination. With the Easter public holidays approaching I reluctantly turned back and went on the hunt for a mechanic to fix the problem rather than have the car out of action for the next couple of days.
With the issue fixed for the moment, I had to implement a back up plan for which caches I would now find. Goorooyarro Nature Reserve turned out to be "Plan B". After completing the caches on my walk there I decided to head back to the Mega, making a few more stops along the way, including this cache.
I had just collected the information at WP1 when another cacher pulled up across the road and headed over. I waited while she collected the data, and we both then set off to the next location. Rather than a peaceful walk, the constant roaring of motorbikes in the nearby track was rather ear splitting. The next waypoint proved no problem, but the final location took quite a wide search before we eventually located the container in its hiding spot. TFTC

Today was a big day finding puzzles that we had solved along with different cache types, old caches and others that we came across on our travels. [^]
The South Aussie's again teamed up and signed the logs as JAMSS (JJ52, Aussie M & M, mogni, SpidermonkeysMum and Southern Cross Caching) to save space in all the log books that we find.
A fun day was had by all, with some great caches found and lots of laughter along the way.

Out with JJ52, Spidermonkeysmum, Southern Cross Caching and Aussie M & M for a huge day of geocaching near Canberra. We are caching as JAMSS to save taking up space in all the caches we find.
My apologies for the generic logs but sadly many caches have blurred into a mess in my head. It may have to do with 4500 km I drove in 8 days.

Found with Southern Cross Caching, AussieM&M, Mogni and JJ52 on one of our Mega days out. Signed as JAMSS. Many thanks for this cache, and all the others that made our experience in and around the ACT memorable. Cheers from SA.
With family links in Canada, it was nice to complete this multi and leave a piece of Aussie swag and also a TB that wants to travel the world. Let’s hope Daisy gets to head to Canada soon! We wandered into the forest, taking care where we put our feet, and avoiding prickly bushes and trees along the way. We found the numbers needed and made our way to GZ and a large container of lots of fun things. SL at 2.47pm Left: a boomerang and Daisy TB Took: a few Canadian souvenirs. We then upended the container and got rid of all the pine needles and cleaned the contents. #6115 TFTC Tankengine and JLAM-D
Who’s not here for the MEGA!? Plenty of fun to be had this weeeknd. Here for the NNF and the MEGA so it’s a busy week. Lucky me met up and found some new geobuddies from Vic and SA to hang out with so I get to learn more about this major distraction Thanks to the Clear Waters OC - great job and TFTC- quick enough find but kind of an odd not particularly salubrious destination
Found with Mary, Mogni, Kim and Judy while at the Clear Waters Mega event.

This was a fun little multi which took us on a short bush walk. There were fences to be climbed, barbed wire to be avoided, logs to be trodden and prickle laden bushes to be dodged. A favourite point from us. TFTC

Today we headed out along the SRPT with coongoola & the Snakepiters we signed the log as DISC to save space.
The trip was planned, cars sorted & at 9am we hit the roads. The weather was perfect for caching today.
The caches were placed along a busy road but suitable parking was found at most caches & often a good hint provided.
Our trip also took us out near the airport & a number of planes spotted taking off & landing right over head. Our home leg took us past All7s puzzle caches.
Had to get passed the blackberry bushes to walk into this cache.
Thanks for placing this cache TankengineMega event.

A great morning of caching in Canberra, before heading out to Bungendore to finish of a powertrail. Even managed to squeeze in a parkrun at Mt Ainslie as well. Started a little fresh, but soon turned into a perfect caching day. All caches were found quick and easy, thanks to all cache owners for putting them out there! Well this seamingly easy multi turned into a multi star nightmare when I hit the blackberry, only to find out later there would have been a lot easier way!

Cache 4907 on 23 Mar 2019.
Yay! The weekend means that I don’t have to find park and grab caches - it is good to go that extra mile for a better cache, we Bobl27 and went quite a few extra miles today! I wanted 9 caches today but more than that I wanted Tankengine caches. With a 300 finds pathtag held out tantalisingly in from of me, I have work to day. So from the 9 caches today, 8 of them were TE ones! It ended up being a longer morning than anticipated, but glad to have some of these crossed off my list!
This cache: another multi! We were going to meet TikvaNZ nearby but figured we had enough time for this 2 stage multi. With the Phone GPS, we were catching around a bit at both WPs but got there in the end . And GZ not far away. Nice big container, took TB! Since I am going to Canada, it seemed appropriate to grab it and move it along.
Thanks Tankengine and JLAM-D for the cache and the fun!

Was targeting this cache for a few reasons, one of which was the fact I pciked up a TB in Hong Kong that wanted to go to Canada! I know just the cache!
The things you do to keep a multi streak going! I did most of this multi before I went to NZ... was saving the last so I could duck over after my flight landed tonight. The walk in was interesting to say the least in the dark with just my phone's light to guide me. It took me ages to find the container.... it certainly wasn't where I was expecting it.

Found on our way into Canberra. This made the short list for a rare attribute. Nice multi. Not sure if there is a different way of doing it, without jumping one fence. Cache coordinates not quite spot on, but easy enough to find.
Thanks for the multi, attribute and decent sized cache!

It was a bit later than planned start to the day but no real rush for either dty73 or myself and eventually made it over to her place to pick her up. We had no real plan of where to head to other than we were going to the event in Queanbeyan and made our way in that direction. A lot of traffic had us very slow and into a convoy of general traffic and many vintage cars, so a stop was made, the convenient pull in was here at the race driveway and with this one right here and we were both needing to find it yet, a decision was made.
Lots of activity going on at the track but we parked outside the gate and made the short walk back to the first WP, tag easily located by dty73 and then off the very short distance to the next. A few obstacles but mostly a very clear walk through, and the fences caused no real issue with easy enough ways through, around or over. A few blackberries, of course, but again easy to walk about. The second tag was again located easily and then the short distance to GZ where the cache was found, perhaps not in a location that was expected but spotted quickly.
The walk back a little different direction, found a few more obstacles and blackberries than our original way. We also got a good view of the track on the way back and some good high jumps as the bikes cleared well up and over... Very cool!
Ah, Canada... Its just one of those places in the world I would really like to visit, one day, but for now this stands as my one and only Canadian Cache found, well sort of!!! Thanks for the cache TE and JLAM-D.

I have been eyeing this cache off for some time and although this cache wasn't the one we had planned, it was the one we did.
Aquilus1 and I were on our way to the event in Queanbeyan when we decided to drop into the track near this cache and work out a plan of which caches to grab before the event. We figured we were here and it didn't seem to be a long multi and I would finally be able to change this orange dot into a smiley.
So off we walked to the little orange dot where we quickly found the first tag to lead us onto the next waypoint. Walked through a mostly clear path with only a few blackberries and bushes, until we came to the next tag which was also quick and easy to find. From there we were onto GZ. Aquilus1 soon spied this large cache which is full of interesting bits and pieces.
While in the area, I checked out the motorbike track when all of a sudden one came flying over the jump right next to me and scared me half to death - but I got a photo. TFTC Tankengine!!!

While in the area, I checked out the motorbike track when all of a sudden one came flying over the jump right next to me and scared me half to death - but I got a photo. TFTC Tankengine!!!
Out and about with Kittykatch and Darksidedan on a chilly but sunny day getting a few caches for the day. Thanks for getting us out and about.
Joolay, Darksidedan and I had a great time finding this cache today. With the motor sports whizzing by at the nearby race ground, we found the clues and the final hide without any trouble. Cache found in good condition. Thanks again TE
What a great camo'd spot. Another week and this cache would have been unloved for 6 months!!! Glad i completed it tho - TNLNSL TFTC.
I've already had a go at this one. It was after the big rains, and the approach to the second waypoint was under water. Today I'm back with GeoSchnauzers and GeoCavoodles on leash. Got the second waypoint, then GZ in quick time. Thanks for the cache. The dogs managed to avoid the prickles, mostly.
I've had a good night last night, with friends over for dinner while the rain fell outside. I had one stay overnight due to fear of thunderstorms denting her car, and I've just taken her home, 30 kms from my place. Now for caches!!
I've been to Costco for fuel. Now for another cache. (I already have two). Found the first tag. Have to wade for the second tag, due to last night's rain. That's no fun. Even the GeoSchnauzers don't want to go on. I will be back when it dries out. Thanks, Tankengine and JLAM-D.

Great little multi.
Out for a walk with the geofamily and geomum found it straight away.
Picked up the TB because its our first and because a trip to canada seems loke it would be getting to close to home

The first tag was initially a bit of a challenge being somewhat smaller than expected, but after that it was plain sailing although the cache was well hidden. A pleasant short afternoon stroll and TFTC TE.

On my return from orienteering half way to Captains Flat, I stopped to tackle this cache I've driven by too often. The tags easily found. The cache took a minute of chasing the GPS before I spotted it. Took TB. Left TB. TFTC.

Flew back from a few days in Sydney for work. Needed my daily, so ventured to this cache. Parked across the road, headed to WP1 and soon found the tag. Then found WP2 tag. Then looked around for WP3 tag. Infrustration, I read some logs. Duh. Let's now look for the GZ container. Soon found hidden at GZ coords. Signed and returned. Didn't have anything for Canadia unfortunately! Isn't that a northern US province. Ok. Poor form! TFTC TE
Enjoyed this little find today. took a little while to find the first plate as GPS skipped around a bit, but once it settled, so did I! The journey to WP1 was more adventurous due to significant flooding in the surrounds, so I enjoyed skipping across concrete bridges and waterways and getting stabbed by blackberry thorns - no not that bit! But I thought it well camouflaged enough to put a trackable in the container and send it on it's way to Canada. I think it needs some higher quality Aussie gifts then send it on its way. TFTC and great idea!
How has this cache not been found for 8 months!? It is really easy and only took me 10 minutes to find the cache from my car! Oh well I'm not complaining!
Parked nearby the motorcycle club and walked over to WP1. The tag was found almost instantly which I though was pretty lucky! So I knew what to look for once I got to WP2!
After a short work collecting the numbers I reached GZ and spied quite a large cache I love the size and everything it has in it, some great swag in there that I left untouched for the next finder.
I rescued the TB that has actually been in this cache for over a year so I am sure the owner of it will be glad to see it is still alive and good!
Thanks Tankengine, a very well set out and professional multi-cache. I enjoyed it a lot!

Out with me 5 year old grabbing a few caches around Queanbeyan that I haven't found yet. A nice little walk to this one and a quick find. Thanks TE.
We have been looking forward to doing this cache for some time. Usually, as we are driving by, our mission has prevented us from stopping here. Today, after finishing work (yes-on a public holiday) we decided some fresh air and a cache would be a fine reward, so we made a beeline for this cache on our way to Jerrabomberra.
We enjoyed the walk-and it is always fun doing this sort of cache whereby we need to find a few extra numbers along the way.
There were many trees with new green leaves sprouting around us, and on this suddenly hot spring day, our walk was accompanied by the continual cracking noise of pine cones opening in the heat. Lovely!
Thanks Tankengine

After dropping off the daughter at the airport headed over here to find a few nearby caches. I do like short multis (especially when you find the cache). TFTC.
The weather isn't nice but little rain... enjoyed walk the track... signed the log. Thanks Tankengine
When I reached the blackberries, I knew this was a Tankengine cache. And when I found myself in a pine forest, chased by grizzly bears and rescued by the mounties, I knew I'd found Canada. Or are we supposed to call it Canadia now? Anyhoo, found the Canadian cache container, well concealed in typical Canadian camo. Nice idea
TNLN - Thanks Tankengine and JLAM-D!

Today my grandad and I did all the caches near the airport. We parked near WP1 and found the tag fairly quickly. I dialled in the coordinates and then we were off to the next WP. We crossed a fence and bashed our way through the thick vegetation & squelched across some wet land. It was either a spring or a big leak happened somewhere! I found the second tag fairly quickly and then continued onto GZ. After some thorough searching, I finally found the large cache!
Thanks for the great multi, Tankengine!

[red]My humble apologies for the late log...[/red]
After living away from home for 6 months, I have managed to find all my caching associated paperwork / notes & photo's so I can (finally) log all my finds...
My sincerest thanks to all the cache owners for their hides & all the effort gone into them & I'm sorry for the generic log... I have seen many beautiful area's that I would not of seen or experience if not for your hides...
Thanks for bringing me here and for the cache... Found this whilst House Sitting in Queanbeyan... A lovely part of Australia...

19:30; I thought I'd pop over to Oaks Estate and grab a few multis this evening. Wisely I decided to stop off for this one on the way. I say wisely as I struck out on the two in Oaks Estate I attempted and abandoned any thoughts for the other two due to failing light. Anyway, I stopped off for this one, found the tags okay, but like previous finders, the iPhone was swirling as I approached GZ. A careful inspection revealed the hide after circling the area a couple of times. TFTC Tankengine
Thursday 18th of December, a day I wont be forgetting anytime soon. Lots of ups and downs today in the lead up to the stand down period at work. Plans were made with specimenX that we would meet up and tackle this one together. I am working on rebuilding the strength in my ankle after an injury a little while back while doing the Centenary Trail with FFLL#1. So it was decided it would be better to have someone with me when doing caches on non flat terrain.
Met up with specimenX at an agreed location and we went for a stroll. Didn't take too long to find the required information at the waypoints as we wandered along through the multi. Happy to report that all waypoints are in good condition and easily accessible.
Once at GZ, we spiralled a little bit as the location was messing with the GPSr's but once the GPSr's were put aside and caching senses come into play, the cache was soon located.
Lots of contents within the cache, took nothing and left nothing. Conducted the logging requirements and then we made our way back to the geomobiles. After a short chat, we departed ways to head home for the evening.
Thanks for the placement of this multi TE, nice location

Made plans with Rapidlywild to work through this one together as RW's ankle is still quite tender from taking a tumble the other week whilst out caching.
So with work done for the day, we met up at the pre-planned meeting point and then off we went to start the search. We found the waypoints easily and navigating around wasn't too hard either. Once at GZ, the GPS signals went a bit haywire before RW came up with the goods for the find. TNLNSL and then we were off back to the cars before heading off home.

An easy multicache. I have only recently returned from Canada, where I did some caching. Canadian caches; a lot hang from trees, because of winter snow.
I didn't leave or take anything, but I include a photograph here I took in September in Canada. The Canadian flag can be seen fluttering in the background.
TFTC Tankengine, or as is written in some parts of Canada, MPLC Tankengine.

Only find for the day as it was all I had time for while passing through the area this afternoon. Had no problems getting WP1 and then GZ and once at GZ, it was a quick find. Some cool swaps in the cache but I didn't take/leave anything. TFTC Tankengine!
The weather had improved but it looked like it was about to take a change for the worst. After the few days of rain Miss Stormcatcher was keen to stretch the legs. Parking at the start, the information was soon tracked down and it was off to WP2. The ground began to get wet and boggy and WP2 was surrounded by a nice puddle. After managing not to fall in the puddle it was off to GZ which thankfully was a lot drier. After a little cache blindness the cache was soon located. Thanks Tankengine for a nice little stroll.
We initially hadn't planned on stopping for this one, but we were driving past and I liked the idea, so decided (very late for my driver though) to turn in and have a look. A nice short multi and cache was soon found. Some great natural camo for this one...you would almost walk sraight past it. I left a Australia and Scouts Australia Christmas cloth badge. TFTC
A quick and easy multi as we made our way back to into Canberra this afternoon.
The cache was camoflauged with some nice natural camo so we missed it on the first pass.
Found at 1513 with Mel_Adz

Stopped by to check out this Canadian themed cache. It was Canada all the way as I made my way through the way points this afternoon at about 1530. There were dirt bikes roaring from time to time nearby but I had the tour of the area to myself without muggle distraction.
Came across GZ after a couple of stops and checked out all the cool Canadian and Aussie souvenirs in there.
Thanks for another very enjoyable caching experience Tankengine.
Cheers

easy tags to find and follow, got to the cache sooner then expected. took nothing but left a boomerang keychain, tftc!
I've driven past this one so many times, but the uncertainty of the time or effort involved always made me move on. Today I was solo caching and wanted to pick up a few solved puzzles, so stopped to get this one on the way. In the end it only took about 15 minutes and I managed to steer clear of the motorbike racing muggles along the way.
Thanks TE.

Quick multi at lunchtime gave us the break we needed from work. FFLL no 1 needed to have a break from the office, love end of financial year! NOT!!! TFTC
# 5715 Found on our VIC and NSW east coast adventure
on our last leg now while camped at Queanbeyan.
After chatting online to Mtrax we agreed to meet up for a few finds around the area.
We had to work out where to park first, but then the rest was all OK.
A nice quick multi and find just the way we like them.
TN LN SL Thanks for the good sized cache Tankengine and JLAM-D,

Found with Roostaman on a short caching run about Queanbeyan
Wow this has been on my unfound list forever and Roostaman gave me just the excuse to get out and finally knock this one off, but I must admit the location is a bit random and initially drove into the speedway Car park and realised not the best CP but one the road is the only spot , none-the-less having been to Canada nice to reciprocate perhaps I should have done the same while I was over there.
and doulbe wow what I would call a LARGE cache by todays standards and good so see such old caches out in the field.
my last cache of the day.. thanks muchy

CACHE FIND #2000! So, we suppose it's no secret that we're a couple Canucks. This was a spectacular milestone for us... our 2000th find... "Canadian Cache"... on 1 July - CANADA DAY! A lovely little forest that was, in fact, reminiscent of some Canadian forests. Took some pics (attached) and signed log at the final GZ. Decided to leave a Canada pin. Thanks for a great cache, Tankengine! HAPPY CANADA DAY!!!
#226 When I got the call to say I had to get down to Canberra, I had a look at all of the caches. You guys a spoilt for choice. I noticed that you have Earth Caches, Mailbox and Virtual Caches which we don't have back home, so I decided to aim for them.
After the battery issues, I was heading to the motel, when this one popped up on the radar. One more wont hurt.
It did. A lot. GPS was casing all manner of issues, a slide down the hill drew blood, but at the end, found a cache.
Nice to see there are a lot of Aussie bits in there now.

The eighth day of our excursion out of Tasmania touring from Melbourne to Canberra and return via Gippsland saw a marked change in the weather. Heavy rain in the morning was followed by cold winds, very cold when we didn’t bring the winter woolies. After tracking down some more details for some of the Great Aussie Icon Hunt caches, we cached in Jerrabomberra and later went back into Canberra. At times we got rather wet but that didn’t deter our enthusiasm for caching for the day.
As we were able to find a safe park near WP1 we decided to attempt this multi. The data at WP1 was locatd quite quickly. As we walked to WP2 we came across numerous fungi under the pine trees. They were somewhat different to the fungi we have seen at home but were interesting in their shape and colour. Again, the infomation at WP2 was obtained without any problems. After a short walk, we located the cache after a very brief search. TFTC Tankengine.

Dino and I dropped Wilma at the airport this morning what a good opportunity to drive on to this nearby kid friendly cache. The start is a bit awkward but fine to park right there. On the way to WP2 the grass is meanwhile almost shoulder high on me, but carrying Dino worked just fine flowing some geo-path or was it caching Kangaroos that made it? Hard to tell. Spider webs and the occasional blackberry, you get the picture a real tast of an outdoors adventure albeit a short one. Just don't come with light pens they will get dirty I can tell you .
Cache was spotted by Dino on arrival at GZ. We had a fun adventure, Thanks for the cache Tankengine.

Just dropping off 'The Barrel' TB, which should make life easier for the next 'Stock'man. I drive to Victoria tomorrow morning so I wanted to make sure it didn't accidentally travel with me.
Found @ 15:50 with AmethystPig. After doing a nearby puzzle cache, piggie needed to offload a trackable. A nice multi and a nice walk, the only improvement would be to remove the mozzies from the equation.
Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and retreated from the swarms of insects.
Thanks for the cache

Wandered on by this one after dropping the husband off at the airport this arvo. Started off in one direction but was deterred by some attacking blackberries so I turned around and found a hole in the fence which I lay down and slunk under. Good thing I'm skinny!
Gps dies..... Bugger!
Ok, walk over to where I saw it pointing and wander around for a bit, turn it back on and it lasts a few seconds, long enough to get to within 10m. Good enough. What a great LARGE sized container!!
Thanx!
Great cache!
Slunk back under the pushed up fence and back to the car.

'If you go out in the woods today...' There's a moment between the sun going down & the moon coming up that these trees become really spooky by torchlight - still, an easy find @ 1850. No appropriate swaps, so TNLNSL-TFTC.
With the GPSr playing up we knew we were on the right general spot, but not much more! shinydragon eventually spotted it not too far from the "around here somewhere" spot.
