It's Canterbury Anniversary Day and an outdoor adventure awaits. Walking around New Brighton trying to find a number of caches. It's sunny and not very windy - perfect! This cache took a while but it was a fun one to do!While looking for the phone number, I was helped by a couple of archers who were happy to take a small break from their practice. What a friendly bunch! And those arrows fly much faster than I ever had expected. The final is in great condition. All in all, a fantastice cache to do.
Went two times in three years to grab the information, but no luck at GZ. Few years later, as I am into a mystery dot day challenge, I revisit the caches I could find easily. Quick message to CO who kindly corrected one digit. Off to GZ tonight, this was a much easier find. Both container and logbook were in good condition. Thanks for placing and maintaining the cache.
Grabbed this one on my ride to work this morning. Embarrassingly, I needed a push from CO on the coords. I had a technical difficulty - really bad math. Found it quickly enough, safe and well preserved in its hidey hole. This cache is approaching solid gold oldie status! Thanks for keeping it going!
Down from Whangarei for a week to visit children in Chch. This cache was one of the closest to our accommodation, so whilst the rest of the family caught up this morning, I went for a wander in the park. A bit hard getting the numbers, but got there in the end, after approaching the archer club from a different direction. After some calculations, I headed off to the final, which seemed as though it was going to be less than 50 meters from our accommodation . Sure enough, after a bit of a search, the well concealed cache was found, the log signed and replaced securely as found. TFTC
Had a problem reading the phone number so photographed the object and then used photo editing tools at home to enhance the image however still wasn't certain so checked with the very helpful CO who quickly responded to my query and led me in the right direction. On the way to the cache final this morning had another look at the phone number under very different lighting conditions ( very overcast) and it was more easily readable.
The cache was very well hidden, although appears some children have found it, lots of entries in pink ballpoint after trifolia argenteas logging with some recent online logs missing ? TFTC a favourite for me.

Yay!
Found it after nearly giving up twice at various points.
I'm really glad I persevered as the cache was finally discovered in a lovely spot and in good order.
Looking for the phone number on the walls of the building had me waste a bit of time.
If approaching from the front, look up and it's obvious, and as C.O stated is still readable underneath the paint.
Not sure if I did something a bit wrong with my counting or calcs, but my coordinates were a bit out.
Cthhecking everything in the vicinity as per the hint eventually proved fruitful- I should have checked the most obvious first, rather than the closest.
A very good little multi-style mystery cache!
Thanks C.O for checking on it and posting the note.
An enjoyable "ramble" after a busy day at work

The phone numbers are there. yes they have been painted over, But you can still read them. And the cache is still in place as I just checked it today. Happy Caching.
No telephone numbers on the Archery building. Hard to find the right tree with only half the coordinates!
We tried this last year, but the archery club were in full swing when we visited so we only got the south coordinate that time. Today the place was deserted and we got the east coordinate. At the final it took us a little time as the cache had become a bit buried in its hidey hole and was not obvious the first time. However, there was only one logical place, so with a bit more work the treasure was discovered. It's great to have this one ticked off. TFTC!
Out with busy paws to get her last gem for the Mystery game. Love puzzles and this was a great one. Another new place not been to before thanks to Geocahing. This was a fantastic hide. Thanks for the fun puzzle and cache bo&bronnie.
The fog was too thick our end of town and I needed an emerald. Guess what! Yay an emerald. Off I went with coconuts3 and after a short ramble the co- ords looked about right. Great safe hiding place, happy dance and gem stones are all gathered. TFTC and a pleasant morning in the Brighton sun.
The last time I tried to do this one the archery club was in full swing so I had to leave it. Today there was nobody around. The numbers were quickly sorted and after a ramble across the domain, the cache was a quick find. TFTC.
Been a slow geocaching few weeks for us with the GeoMother having a knee injury. She walked half of this with me then went back to the car with the tired geodog for a rest. Didn't take long after that for the log to be signed. TFTC
This cache was on the list for quite some time, but we never managed to get over to the other side of town. Today we decided to give it a go. A nice cache although it took longer than it should have to gather all the information. TFTC
As I was heading for a movie night in this direction, it was a great excuse to go and find a few caches along the way - and finally collect this one! Nice ramble, TFTC!!

FITW GreenMenace
Found on a dog walk.
At first we confused ourselves with the wrong fort. But then, on the way to Archery club, we noticed the real one, that had to be The One! Weren't really sure about the numbers we got but the calculated coords turned out to be spot on and the cache was not hard to find! This was one of the last unfound NB caches around and I never even tried it because it seemed to be too confusing or tricky. Actually easy!
First ones this year!

I wanted to give up immediately when we arrived because I wasn't sure what to look for,but it was so smooth and easy in the end.thank you for nice walk in the park.
Found with a little help from the owner. We were a bit bamboozled by the questions
Sir Belac and I did the work to get the final coordinates a long time ago, he found it a while ago with Nanzie. On my way home to Nelson with Nanzie and decided it's about time I stopped and found it considering its the closest cache to my sisters place. Funny thing is I had the same coordinates as Nanzie and Sir Belac but my gps was saying I was 80 metres off course Nanzie pointed me in the right direction. TFTC

JDScout and I wanted to go for a ramble. The weather was a bit drizzzly but that didn't put us off. Now we are going to stroll along and find lunch

A beautiful hot day, and some errands to run in town, so a lovely time for a ramble around with the baby - she sleeps well when strapped to me, and walking, and so geocaching is actually pretty good for getting the baby off to sleep!
Surprisingly given it's now school holidays, there wasn't anyone around really, except for a few council workers near the carpark!
Lovely stroll in the sunshine - while Bethany slept - just what the doctor ordered!!

Happy to find this today. I play golf over here occasionally but had never explored the rest. An asset to the city. Thanks for placing a cache here.
Paddle Chick did all the hard work in solving this puzzle .While I was in Christchurch Sir Belac and I popped out to get this cache. Thanks for the cache
I had a little free time while the wee womble was asleep to made my way out this way to grab a few geocaches. Managed to get the info required without making anyone suspicious! No problems locating this cache at the final GZ either. Thanks for the hide.
Went hunting for a few caches after work today with injeanious. We had been here before but run out of time to get all the answers. Had fun trying out the slide and picking up pinecones while rambling through Rawhiti. The cache was well hidden but in very good condition. TFTC!
I got home after a day of geocaching and prepared to undertake some domestic duties. Then Jess.daphne asked, "do you want to go caching?" Ah, yeah, sure, why not? So off we went to grab some caches. We had come to this area last year but ran out of time to finish the puzzle. A nice quick mystery to solve and we soon found ourselves at the rather enchanted looking GZ. I quickly found the nicely hidden cache. I can't believe it hasn't been found since August. It looked like it'd been placed yesterday. Tftc.
The cache is still in its hidy spot, it just sits back a bit further, Becarefull not to step on the new plants. Cheers
Fun getting coordinates and found stump but no sign of cache. Some of the area has been cleared for new plants.
Logging with kind permission from CO as cache was indeed missing when I visited. Thank you for the cache and speedy replacement.
No problems getting the numbers and coordinates led us to a likely hint object. But despite a thorough search we couldn't find the cache. It would be good if CO could check on it next time they are in the area. We had fun in the park though, 2 yr old loved the slide on the fort!
Found this last week while nearby checking on my cache. This was my second attempt as last time when I found all the info with my son he got impatient. Fair enough as today I had to extend my search radius by about 50 metres before making the find as I have obviously made an error with the maths.
Cache was again exposed and log pretty useless so I have put a new log (and plastic bag) in. Covered up well with dry leaves. (it may be that they are blowing away) Thanks for the cache.

Found out in the open at GZ... put it back where we thought it should have been (as per clue) Contents are rather soggy. Cache container was larger than we thought! Thanks for a lovely ramble through Rawhiti Domain Little cacher (22months) loved climbing up the rungs and going down the huge slide with Dad!
The comments in the log nearly put me off trying this one but I thought I'd give it a go. Straight forward if u read the instructions carefully and don't overthink it. TFTC TNLN
With a little clarification from Co, got it this time. Exposed and very wet. Put back where it belongs but needs drying out. Thanks bo&bonnie
Checked and all is well. Part of the puzzle is looking *very* carefully for the numbers...
I've been meaning to do this one for ages as I live near here and walk the dog in the park most days. Beautiful day today so thought I'd grab it finally. The cache is all good despite being found at some point by kids doing athletics nearby. They have also signed the cache! TFTC, TNLN.
First puzzle cache for us Got maths mixed up at start but worked it out in the end. Great spot for a hide. TFTC.
Tried this one a year or two ago. It was my first attempt at a puzzle cache and I failed. Now, with a much better developed caching sense, I had no problems solving it. Enjoyed the ramble around the park after eating a little too much dinner with the family. TFTC.

I was in the area with kiwicampnut today and this was on the list to complete. We had a lovely wander over from the dogpark where we found we were looking for a cache that had been uplifted by the CO and not disabled. Oh well... at least this one was here. It was a very pleasant morning for a ramble in the park, and I thoroughly enjoyed it but it was even better because we found the cache! I retrieved 2 coins from here. TFTC

JustMeG and I were out today in the area collecting some caches. Stopped by the Archery Club to see who was there as I need to sell my gear. Yes I did this many years ago when this building was first being constructed. It has recently had a coat of paint and there is no sign of any phone numbers anymore. Arrived at GZ and JustMeG found the cache, she took two coins and I took one that she has had before. We parted company once back at the cars with JustMeG heading for the caches up the road a bit and me to QEII drive before the end of my caching day. Thanks JustMeG for allowing me to tag along today. Kiwicampnut
Made a couple of basic maths boo boos to start with. Tried back at home and got something sensible after reading carefully. All quiet at GZ, SL left 3 TB.

Found on second attempt, had to wait for man who had large camera standing taking photos of nothing. Fellow cacher Leahjett put her hand in dog poo in the hunting process, so after thorough hand wiping we found. Thanks!!
Omg this is a cache I wont forget. Started looking for it and put my hand in dog poo. Came out with some kind of bug, worms maggots I will never know. THEN found the cache. Thanks to bo&bonnie for helping with the coordinates.

Sorry to hear about the recent cachers experence with the mess at the GZ I shall pop across and try and sort that out. Cheers Bo
Rawhiti Ramble alright....we rambled a bit before discovering the coorect structure for WP1. Luckily no archery in progress as we dudes took an age to make these way across the fields. A great afternoons adventure. Final location quickly calculated and found. Thanks.
I enjoyed the area. It was a very pleasant evening with very few muggles about. Quick find with chocochunk. Neither of us had a TB with us, so we did not make take the TB in the cache.
WP1 clues easy; WP2 ph number very hard to read, but we seemed to manage as we found the GC just over 10 metres from the resulting coordinates, thanks to the hint. We were assisted by a friendly member of the archery club and they held their arrows while we stretched our necks to read the well-over-painted ph number.
(Nowhere near Cust, as it turns out. In fact all 3 WPs within walking distance.)

Spent a lot time trying to find this one, Tom Tom on my phone was not cooperating. Kept telling me the cache was at Cust!.
Cool spot ln hot afternoon. Great watching discus throwers in action. DAMN! BIG QUAKE AS I WAS WRITING THIS! Guess I must be in Christchurch!
Co-ords got me close, was probably my maths calcs didn't help, but found obvious GZ near by. TFTC.
Another Bo and Bronnie today! Cool. Must be my third visit, with various things getting in the way of a smiley. Today was heading the same way when I decided to continue walking on the bearing I was heading. I felt lucky, and hello, I was lucky and came up with a find. Thanks so much for the walk(s). Took Horse TB
Finally crossed it off after three visits to try and get the info. Nice hide. The info wasn't too hard to find once it became obvious... Dropped a TB. TFTC (385)
TFTC. I enjoyed this cache - the fact that neither fort nor the ph number were obvious made it all the more interesting. I sat to sign the log and heard bellbirds singing high in the trees. Left GC.
A quick multi cache/puzzle to introduce us to the area. No worries collecting the info or finding the cache. A nice wee hidey hole for it too. TFTC.
Rambled around more than neccesary. Used the wrong fort to start with but spotted the right one eventually. Found the cache bang on. Retrieved the TravelBiker TB - been here for nearly a year! TFTC.
Another I'd collected the info for on a previous visit but hadn't put it all together until preparing for this venture. Easy enough find. Thanks.
Found this one with badjelly. Only our second mystery cache. I do a lot of coaching at the track.
Second mystery cache I have found ever, had to double check the calculations, but got there in the end. My appreciation for this type of cache is growing!!
There is no longer any phone numbers inquired at the archery club for a phone number and they said they no longer even use a phone there.
The Phone numbers have been painted over but you can still read them if you look hard.
Would you believe their web site doesn't have their phone number on it? And they don't have a whitepages listing? Ye gawds.
A nice walk 10 min from home. Once I found the sign it was plain sailing.
TNLN
Thanks.

Lovely walk on a warm winter afternoon. The low winter sun was an advantage as the phone nos. were easy to read. Any direct reflection and you would have no chance. Thanks.
Dad and Jib got it! Got spooked by a stranger, struggled with the phone number, but found the cache before it got dark. Left a practice ball (for the golfers)

Had not seen note about the phone numbers. Arrived to see some archers in action, so came back latter but could not see any numbers any where. Saw the web address and don't remember seeing any faded lettering around it maybe they have given it another coat of paint. A shame as I ran out of time to find any other cache so will have to hold onto the geocoin I have for a while longer. The boys enjoyed the fort and climbing all over some huge tree stumps that we did find.
Just a quick note to say that the phone numbers are still there ,Hard to see, but still there, They are just above the website. Happy caching. Cheers Bo
Lovely spot. We found the fort, and the archery club, but we couldn't find the phone numbers! Has it been painted recently? All we saw was a website...
So much easier to work out when you choose the right play equipment. Good thinking with the archery site. Thanks for the hide.
A nice fun cache to do with relbo, and successful after we had read the instructions correctly! Dropped fly agaric mushroom TB in cache, it will enjoy this habitat. TFTC
#100 Yipee. Nice easy multi, although the two forts just south of the waypoint confused us for a while. TFTC.
Good to see this cache back in action. We enjoyed the leisurely evening stroll around the very quiet domain.
This is our first Puzzle so we Wombles are quite chuffed to find it.Our GPS was way off course but we widend our search and found the tree stump by sheer good luck.TFTC.
The phone numbers are still on the Archery club, They have been covered over with some white paint but you can still read them ok. You will see the the Archery website in bold black lettering and the phone numbers are above and below it. So Happy Caching. Cheers Bo
Found this one nearly a year ago with StreetWalkerNZ, but wanted to sign log and claim smiley. . Could remember the vague location of final, so didn't need to redo WPs (which is just as well).
Fortunately, managed to park very close to cache, and after a wee ferret round the cache was found.
TFTC (again).

TFTC (again).
Found on a morning walk with our Nana, who loved caching. Took Geocoin sorry it took us so long to log. We found the cache really easily.
I will put this cache on hold until I can sort out one of the waypoints as it has changed.. watch this space... Cheers Bo
Deserted place today. No signs whatsoever on the archery range building-think they have been removed as the building looks recently painted. Sure we got the right fort but now lack vital info or are we on the wrong track altogether?
Lovely Easter Sunday for a cache, lets hope the old phone numbers stay visible! TFTC
The phone numbers at the archery range no longer exist. They have been painted over with the website name instead. I was just able to make out the previous shapes, but in poor light or with people around this may not be easy?
Did this with my toddler, we played in the playground and fort, collected acorns, and investigated mushrooms. An unexpected forest to explore. Took Toy TB, left geocoin made of coal.
