removing "needs maintenance" for the archived caches.

11-Oct-11
This one has been muggled several times and the area seems to have deteriorated, and so it stands to reason that this cache be archived. No bits are left in the wild, as none can be found... intentionally or otherwise. Thanks for the seeking, everyone. Thanks allrounder for checking on it for me.

10-Oct-11
As a previous finder and Fore!'s geocaching assistant, I can confirm this one is missing.

08-Oct-11
Would still like to get this one, but waiting for confirmation that the cache is still there. Can you confirm it Fore!???

24-Sep-11
Mr Bushies2 went there and searched a while before giving up due to many rubbish around.

24-Sep-11
I suspect that this one has gone due to all the cut branches lying everywhere. Lots of rubbish and used toilet paper, searched for about 20 minutes but was a bit worried about what we might find lying around in the litter. Is it still there?

19-Sep-11
Lots of rubbish but that was about it. Gave up searching too dangerous.
One to watch though....

10-Sep-11
Spent over 30mins trying to find this one. I did however find lots of drug related stuff including syringes so be careful when looking.
Can it be confirmed that this cache is still there?

01-Aug-11
My second visit & was still unable to locate the cache. There is a lot debris in the GZ. Will keep watch & maybe try again later Sad

04-Jul-11
Ahhh! At last, we did return.

And today the parrot did sing.
I think that the foul, cold, windy weather must have reminded him fondly of the fiord!s.
A Norwegian Blue, I think. Like my nose.

28-Apr-11
Found with geo-amba on a perfect caching day. No muggles around either.
Had a lond look all around, and then finally got it. Tricky.

Found whilst visiting friends nearby. We brought our friend with us for her first cache experience and she found it before we did!! We must have described it well! TFTC

14-Mar-11
The iphone app kept changing from offline to on and we weren't sure we were in the right spot. We resorted to the hint and it didn't help us much. A double-check of the coords with the GPS put us right back where we had been searching. There was some very unsavoury rubbish in the area which was blocking us from the actual cache location. Enzo spotted the very very clever hide and Zita bravely used a stick to flick the rubbish away - yuck! TFTC Big Grin

The Norwegian blue must be laughing or is it still pine-ing for the Fore!-Yords! What a hide you got! TFTC. SciHacker

03-Apr-10
Cat!!! was accompanied by Mum, SciHacker and Ta-da!! on a pleasant Sunday morning. The GPS kept changing direction and there was a lot of plant life to investigate. We found the non-pining bushes but no luck finding this micro (maybe it is a nano or a femto or gone?). SciHacker accumulated scratches, plant bits and a good look at the different plant species ... Pinus Notpresentus ... heavy sigh.

Maybe we'll find another cache on the way home (and we did ... found the The Beagle's Vegas Tribute Cache!).

First time we tried to find this cache it started pouring rain which made it frustrating to find! However, a return on a sunny afternoon proved succesful. TFTC

14-Feb-10
Found with the Reluctant Companion on our trip to Albany for the Ulysses AGM. Searched in the dark with Geoson SS_BJC. It took quite a search even though he had found this cache previously. Apparently the trees in the area have grown very well but we eventually made a find. Great camo Fore! TNLN. TFTC. Yes the tape really does need replacing.

07-Feb-10
We occasionally visit this location with the geohound and decided it was time she renewed her acquaintance with the area. A very clever hide which took a little while to find. I wasn't sure of the purpose of the duct tape and it might need replacing as it appears to have lost its adhesiveness. In addition to the cache we also found 15 golf balls hiding in the long grass!

30-Jan-10
really clever. took me a while to find it.

Big Grin I think Oz Lurker is still holding this one against me [xx(]

Loved the camo Fore! nice cache. [^]

24-Jan-10
Well, tried for this one yesterday, but couldn't find it before being disturbed by some muggles - I was sure I knew what to expect, but no luck. Never mind, I'll check some previous logs and try again - no probs with that (sometimes a new perspective is all that is needed).

So since we were again out this way today with CazBol, we decided to tack it on the end of the run in a hope that the extra set of eyes was helpful. We arrive at GZ, I explain all about yesterdays lack of a find, what I think we are looking for and the GZ location.

CazBol says "great camo, here it is"

Oz Lurker says "....&&^%$%#&..." and then "&^$@#$^&**" and, well, you get the idea.... [B)]

Went to this one yesterday with the geohound.
Found it in good order in exactly the correct location!
BUT this time I also found the decoy, which I have removed.

So, anyone looking - it's there! Not a difficult cache to find in any way.

14-Jan-10
My first for the day and have learnt a valuable lesson - read the logs before you attempt to go and find. I too found the "camo" but couldn't find a cache anywhere. Maybe I am just not looking hard enough but I suspect it has been muggled.

Not pining fore the fiord!s
That is a dead parrot!

04-Jan-10
I didn't find the log but I think I found the old camo. It had an elastic hair band wrapped around it and was found in the long grass about 7 meters from the GZ. I have placed at the bottom of a wooden post close the the GZ. I'm pretty sure what I'm looking for now in the current cache but I couldn't spot it. I'll wait and see what the next cacher logs. Cheers, M_Family.

A quick drive by on the way to work for this one after Fore! replaced the cache. Ok so it was an hour out of my way but still priorities must be obeyed. TFTC.

08-Nov-09
Visited by maintenance crew of Fore!, Shadow!, allrounder and Huxley. Didn't find remnants of its predecessors so replaced in original location. All good to go!

03-Nov-09
As per the last log....found the camo well perched (cut out and tethering indicate that it is definately the camo) no sign of the log container......

03-Nov-09
Visiting from WA and out with HUMPREYBBEAR and TEAMDEAN for the arvo. Nice twist haha. pitty the log was nowhere to be found. Definately it though. TFTC. MR MACCA is going back to WA with some new cache ideas, Thanks.

31-Oct-09
Found the hide, found the cammo, but not the cache..... Sad I think they may have parted company. Will keep an eye on the log to see if I was mistaken.

18-Oct-09
Found it 12:10. This is up to your usual standard of very interesting caches which I never get tired of. TFTC Fore! another good one.

28-Sep-09
First cache for the day, Geo-hound in tow plus two Geo-kids, kids found cache easily but weren't expecting it to be a micro, Geo-kids not happy that they didn't get to swap - I had to explain to them what a Micro cache was. Signed log and returned easily.

30-Aug-09
Today is crazy windy. So windy that when I pulled up near this cache I could feel the car moving in the breeze. Time to head to a less windy part of Canberra, I think!

Another nice hide, Fore! TFTC.

23-Aug-09
It wasn't until I got back to my car that I realised how out of place the cache container was. TFTC.

02-Aug-09
Geokid and I were entertained by the handheld parachute sport on the oval. Looked like lots of fun. Liked the "wrong' cache

25-Jul-09
Being Saturday afternoon there was a footy match on so all the muggles were distracted and looking the other way.
So that made it very easy
Thanks

22-Jul-09
Found it , very clever hide only a kite surfer training on the oval today

18-Jul-09
A very clever container, but one that was only found with rubai's clever thinking

18-Jul-09
After a bit of a crawl around we came up with the goods.
Nice and windy today, there were a bunch of paraboarding muggles on the ovals nearby.

Thanks!

#238: After reading the clue, I knew exactly what we were looking. Look at that, I was right.

05-Jul-09
Excellent excellent container - just the sort of thing I expect from Fore! and a fun one for my 120th.

While I was there, some guys were using kites to motorise their... well not exactly bikes. Still was VERY cool. Shame they wouldn't give me a go.

Very clever Fore!
Found easily...luckily Big Grin

Feels like every second cache we have done today is a Fore! cache.
Your must get like a million e-mails a day.
That aside this was a quick find having guessed the hide previously.

While we were here we rechecked the coordinates of mendels peas and this time they were right. Must have been a typo into the GPS the first time as the coords had me out in a paddock and it was only an educated guess and the hint that gave us the GZ.

Anyway TFTC

04-Apr-09
Crossing of the last few Gungahlin cache's, and the dogs were keen for a bit of a run. I loved the fact that out this side so much of the parks are Dog-off-lead areas.

The title of this cache, I thought, would make for an easy find. But it turns out Pine's are a bit more common in the area than I expected.

sneaky, but easy Razz

just the council workers mowing the grass to hide from today

22-Feb-09

We had planned to head over this way to visit some friends, a quick look on the computer identified a few caches nearby.

Got to GZ and had a look around, unfortunately the first thing I found was the remains of the kangaroo previously mentioned, distracted by the stench my wife started to decrypt the hint. As soon as she had the first word out I remembered a conversation I had recently with Blue Flipper - Nice Hide Fore! Smile

Took the young apprentice, for a kick and cache, kick was good but we were forced back by the stench, maggots and flies from a couple of unfortunate roos left semi wrapped and dumped by some one really humane within what the GPS indicated was a couple om metres from the cache. Couldn't stop gagging so had to retreat. Keep an eye on the sight, weeds and seeds may clean it up soon.

15-Jan-09
The pencil is sharpened and ready for use. [:0] TFTC

12-Jan-09
Found it - right in front of me - good camo!

The pencil was blunt and I didnt have a sharpener. I did try to expose some of the lead but maybe the next person to visit can sharpen it.

10-Jan-09
Spent a few minutes barking up the wrong thing but soon had it sussed. I've said before we've been at this game too long. We've seen it all it seems. Perhaps, not really!
Anyway thanks again Fore. If I come here again I'd better bring a hound and a horse I think.

10-Jan-09
We were trying for a driveby on this one, but Chewin' arms just aren't long enough!
Unfortunately, we have seen this hide before (one of C@W's CCCC series) only it was in context there which made it a lot harder to spot.
Nice idea though.
Thanks, Robmc.
