Time to go for this cache - to be replaced today with "Crossing the bar again" a multi that allows the stash to be placed a bit further up the beach and hopefully away from the muggles.

We called at the site today and removed the empty box, while placing the new cache nearby.

20-Jan-08
Found empty cache.

24-Dec-07
Cache muggled, no sign of contents, container only close to co-ordinates.

24-Dec-07
Oh darn - another clean-out. We are away on holiday at present, so can't get there to check it out. Will need to think over the future of this cache anyhow, it seems to be a bit vulnerable to muggle action.

24-Dec-07
Well the empty cache container. Well and truly muggled. Sorry to report that. No sign of log or contents. I left the container close to the co-ordinates under some plants. Judging by the trampled vegetation there has been a lot of recent muggle activity.

TFTC anyway, enjoyed the walk.

I had about a half day in Raglan before my friend's wedding (it's what brought me to NZ from Durham, NC USA), so I spent some time exploring Ragland and finding a few caches. The beaches around here are quite nice! TFTC!

04-Nov-07
I jogged down to this one in the rain, cords spot on which was good, couldnt see a pen or pencil, so just stamped the logbook. Pencil maybe in there, but maybe the next visitor could leave one if not. To rainy to enjoy the beach.

Found OK as the sun started it's glorious exit from what has been a brilliant day in this great little corner of godzone.
Nil traded, many thanks.

A nearby Butterfly has pointed out to me the great evening dinner spot was the “Tongue and Grooveâ€. Smile

A pleasant evening (although threatening to rain) meant a trip to Raglan for dinner was called for, so dropped in to check the cache out. Found the box, as described by DoubleDutch, and found the log, stache note and pencil sitting nearby, very wet from the rain. Hid the replacement cache we brought for the job in a new spot around 3 metres from the original. This may fool the muggle kids (although from the content of the entries in the log this time, it was a different group). The replacement box is smaller (1l) so may be easier to keep hidden.

Off for a very enjoyable dinner at “The Groove†in town before returning to Hamilton.

06-Oct-07
Found the container full of sand and nothing else. Obviously been muggled. Emptied out the sand and put container back.
Couldn't sign log as it had disappeared.

06-Oct-07
Oh darn, it will be a couple of weeks before I can visit - if someone passes trough, maybe they could leave something for a log? We will replace the stash next opportunity.

14-Sep-07
Called in today and recovered the box from a well-build hut. Thanks Jillopy, and thanks to the muggles who found it, signed the log and treated the cache very well.

Lots of water in the box today – dried it out and relocated it back to the original spot, with a further note in the log to the hut residents. All is ready for finding again!

09-Sep-07
Been here before and its a nice spot when its fine - unfortunately the weather gods were not so friendly today so just a quick visit - no muggles to be worry about though.

09-Sep-07
Found cache - it's been muggled but not destroyed! TNLNSL.

09-Sep-07
Cache was found by muggles, the same morning we hunted! They built a hut right on top of it and signed log book! Cache left intact but owner please check whereabouts as we were unable to see where it was originally as it was left in centre of their work of art! Replaced as near to clues instructions as we could see but check at GZ definitely needed.

Warm day at the beach in mid winter! Paused for picnic lunch after this find.Interesting bit of history here. TNLN thanks

We were staying less than 200m from the cache, so drove up very close (cause we could)! Great place, and thats a bit navigation aid isn't it! Retreated to our unit to recover from the windblown day. TFTC

First time we've been to Raglan, but we'll definitely be back to catch some waves in the summer.
Interesting navigation aids and WW2 pillbox.
Took a little poking and prodding to uncover the cache but we got it eventually. Its still well hidden and nice and dry inside.

The biggest navigational aids I've seen - how could you miss them! Well I guess I've answered my own question - it's still quite foggy this morning.

Nice to be back in the Raglan area again. Introduced a few friends to geocaching on this one as we were staying in the camp ground . TFTC

14-Apr-07
In between squally rain showers. We waited and made a quick dash across the fields. Lots of possible hiding places. Just made it back to the vehicle as the rain started again.
Off to see the surf, it sounds very wild and loud.

Thanks.

Nice easy hunt on a nice day. Spent sometime looking at the harbour views. Took the Tools of the Trade Geocoin and a small ball and left behind a spider and a dice.

I wasn't with RadioNut when he laid this cache, so I thought I would give it a go.... hee, hee. Went on ahead of the family, with just the description and no GPSr. Spent about 5mins looking, and also avoiding attracting attention from a junior muggle imitating a rabbit nearby. Sand flying....
Amazing how one gets a feel for where a cache would be... Third place I looked!
Had my hands on it, just before RadioNut came up and over the sandbar... great.
Left "Tools of the Trade" geocoin.
Love Raglan, a great place to relax.

Was a nice day for a hunt. Don't see many of those gun emplacements round nowadays, was interesting to look through.

With the sun out again for the first time for a few days Raglan was packed with people and heaps of swimmers in the water. A little suprised to still get the FTF after 3 pm!
Must bring the tent back here this summer - have been talking about spending a weekend at the campground for ages. TNLN. Thanks.
