Seems like its been muggled. Disabled until I can get there at the end of August. - Cyclonic
Ms Atalanta and I are spending a week at Cable Beach, near Broome and passing some time on the hunt for geocaches. However, today we were out in a 4wd looking for birds. We pulled up nearby and I found we were only about 75m from this cache, so we took the rest of our group on the hunt to introduce them to Geocaching,

This one was on a bird observatory track - if you enter from the road it is beyond the ‘Private’ sign. Also take mosquito repellent, they are huge! Tftc.
Wow! The view is stunning! TFTC! Had a thought about walking in the path that says “private” but realised it lead to the bird observatory. 4WD is required for this Crab Creek Road. Image taken at the first right when coming into the road!
Travelling north with richlink to Darwin and beyond. This was one of the caches we found along our route. A magic location, thanks for bringing us out here.
Travelling with mudnCraig and came to Broome yesterday. Today morning we went to mud crabbing and after that came here to grab a cache. Nice easy find, tftc!
Tftc!! Great goodies! Couldn’t find my stash bag so didn’t have anything equal or better to trade on me - ended up just leaving a goodie rather than taking one
Found my first ever geocache!!! So exciting to find it and then continue to the beautiful viewing station and see kites flying
Long overdue log, for maintenance performed 8 May 2021. Brand new container with custom camo!
As a volunteer at the Broome Bird Observatory I was thrilled to find this cache right in my own backyard! Lovely big cache, very well maintained in a beautiful location. Thanks Cyclonic
A quick detour on the way back from the crocodile park. Wallabies were everywhere on the drive in. Saw the private sign so turned around and went up the other side of the fork, no signage on that track, so a quick skip along and found exactly where it should be. Didn’t see a trackable in there but have to admit I didn’t look very hard so it could still be there. TFTC
A lovely place to visit and container in great condition. We left a TB. TFTC cyclonic
TFTC, having fun exploring. Cache in excellent condition. Enjoying bird spotting, and hope we are successful in finding dinosaurs footprints next.
A great drive out in the red dust as a final adventure on my last day in Broome.

An easy find, thanks for bringing us out to this spot, had a wander to the lookout and along the beach. An absolute stunning morning. Great to have a decent size cache in the bush. TFTC TNLN
In addition to our note we should log a DNF. Pity as it is a nice place to visit.
Would like to log a find but there was no cache at GZ as others have reported.
We spent the morning in the area and loved the coast along here.
Please repair for the sake of other geocachers who come to this wonderful place.

Loved this one. Well worth the drive. We had a special time afterwards basking in the Kimberley beauty.
We had problems to open the cache as the lid was rusted. We needed WD40 to open the cache.

Today we dis this nice 4WD ride to the bird observatory place and found this huge container. We took 2 TBs with us, since this cache is not high frequent visited.

In Broome we stayed at the Bird Obervatory and did a wak along the beach in the evening.
Popped out here after work for a drive and a bit of a look around.
It’s a pretty special spot.
Made a quick find here.

I thought I had finished with the dirt and corrugations for awhile after doing the GRR but a cache was calling so back on the dirt it is.
The view from the look out was spectacular and the water is so blue.
I also checked out the bird observatory while I was in here.
Great to find I nice sized cache as well.
Thanks cyclonic TFTC.

Boy that was a very bumpy and jarring drive in. Not too many muggles at the observatory. Walked the trail and happy to find an ammo can at go. Thanks for the cache.
Flew into Broome lunch time sunday then drove to RAAF Base Curtin for work with contractors and stayed in Derby overnight. The contractors got their work finished early and we left just after lunch and i stopped by here on the way home for a very quick find. I thought great it will be a quick drive and then the bitumen finished. Lucky i had a 4wd ute so made it more comfortable driving. The track was preety good. It certaily was an adventure getting to and from the casche along the track plus the awesome scenery as well. Found a nice little parking spot opposite the track to the bird observatory and after a very short walk found the cache and signed the log. covered it a bit better than i found it. Found the cache still in good condition. Thanks for the cache and for bringing me here cyclonic. I would certainly like to come back out here when i have more time like a holiday.
Hervey Bay rock. Dropped of painted rock for someone to keep or move on would be great. List findings and maybe with a pic on Hervey Bay Facebook page would be great. Kids love finding, collecting, hiding and even paintings these’s rocks. Enjoy getting outside and having fun.
Great spot. Road a bit rough. Would be great at high tide. Dropped of painted rock. Move on or kids can collect. Log on Hervey Bay Facebook site. These painted rocks are s great way to get kids outdoor and having fun. Enjoy TCTF Took grim reaper
Hi, husband and I, are a minimum 5 year work and holiday, we like it here, we are thinking of staying for 6 months in Broome. We arw from the Atherton Tablelands, in far north QLD..
Quick find of a well stocked ammo tin. All good here. Great spot to visit for the birdlife and the geology. TFTC!
This cache was found today and brings our overall cache find tally to 9846. We found this as part of our 2018 Round Australia trip.
I think we came at this one from the wrong direction completely as I pulled up on the side of the road as close as i could get and had a prickly walk in. I found the cache and then the track. I wandered back out and saw the "Private" sign I can now see in others logs. Cam the owner confirm if this is actually OK to be here otherwise we could possibly move it out.
Thanks cyclonic for the cache.

We had tried to come out here last year at the end of the wet season and made it almost all th way until a large and muddy and deep puddle across the whole road turned us back ( I wasn’t willing to lose my rental car bond)
Back today and the drive in was a treat. We parked our car, crossed the sign that said private property and found the cache.
Thanks cyclonic for bringing us out to a wonderful spot that, today, was full of twitchers

Biggest cache I've seen so far! Took us longer to figure out how to open the box than to find it beautiful observatory nearby, worth checking out! TFTC
Great spot! We have been staying in Broome for a few days and we decided to go over to the Bird Observatory to check it out - glad we did! Thank you for the cache cyclonic and for taking us to this location.
Came for the birds, and enjoyed this find along our walk! Truly beautiful country. Tftf
Spending a few days in Broome. We first visited about 25 years ago and over the years we have watched it change. Not sure it is for the better. The road in has certainly suffered from the recent wet but the view from the hide with a full tide was certainly worth it.
Took Path tag and left a Path tag

On the way home after the Alice Springs Red Centre Event, megawat60 and I are spending a few day in Broome.
This spot was the first on today's list, and we had great fun getting there , as there were still some red puddles to negotiate. Parked the now-red GeoUte and went for a walk. At one stage I look at my phone to check on the proximity of this cache, and we are 21m and going down!!! Cache found.... was only the start as the ammo can, unopened since Oct 16 before the Wet, would not open at first but the combination of his force and SAK got it in the end! So we SL, and on our way!
This one was a great adventure in a great spot, TFTC, a fave from me!

Day 28 on my trip from Perth to the Red Centre Experience in Alice Springs with m4yb and Max the GeoUte pulling Jonathan Swift the Jaycp camper trailer.
What an adventure it has been and great to get some caches along the route.
Spending the next few nights in Broome with an old mate from my past life. Enjoying being with local muggles but good to find a few caches in town and this one a short but muddy track in, Max the GeoUte has been officially "Broomed". But he's enjoying.
Great to find this after the wet season but difficult to open. Left a path tag and a fav from me for the spot and the interest.

Another smiley added here today on a 5 week Pilbara and Kimberley break, a nice quick find on our way out to drop a line in TFTC
Our current visit to Australia had been in the planning for over a year with the very significant help and advice from friends who live in Melbourne. The original plan was for a 2 month visit, but as things progressed we just couldn't help extending our trip to the full 90 days allowed on our visas - after all it's a big country and so much to see and do, especially with our favourite pastimes being birding, hiking and of course geocaching! Our journey started with our arrival at Perth airport followed by a day cycling around Rottnest Island before travelling on to Adelaide where we met up with our friends. We then continued on to spend some time on Kangaroo Island, before heading to Melbourne via Goolwa, Strathalbyn, Coorong, Mount Gambier, Cape Bridgewater, the Grampians National Park, Port Campbell, Cape Otway and Lorne, cramming in as much as possible on route. The second leg of our journey was a fabulous 9 days in Tasmania. Having then returned to Melbourne we set off on the third leg of our journey, which was to Sydney via Wilson’s Promontory, Lakes Entrance, Mallacoota, Pambula Beach, Thredbo, Canberra and Fitzroy Falls. We then spent a few days in Sydney with geocaching friends before flying on to the Gold Coast for the fourth leg of our travels, that included visits to Lamington National Park, Noosa and an overnight trip out to Fraser Island. We then flew from Brisbane to Cairns, where we spent a couple of nights before heading out to the birding hotspots of Yungaburra and Daintree. Following on from a visit to Cape Tribulation we turned to Port Douglas. After a day out on the Great Barrier Reef we returned to Cairns for the flight to Alice Springs and the fifth leg of our travels, which was a wonderful week driving the circuit to and from Ayers Rock in our 4x4 camper. On returning to Alice Springs we then flew on to Darwin, where we picked up another 4x4 camper. We are currently making our way towards Broome via Kakadu, Cooinda, Pine Creek, Edith Falls, Katherine, Nitmiluk, Timber Creek, Lake Argyle, Kununurra, Emma Gorge, El Questro, the Bungle Bungle’s, Fitzroy Crossing, Geikie Gorge, Tunnel Creek, Windjana Gorge and Derby. Our last two nights in Australia will be spent in Broome before we fly back to Perth, from where we will connect with the flight all the way back home to Zimbabwe via South Africa. We already know we can't wait to return!
This was a nice quick find at Ground Zero on our way in to Broome, although sadly we could not stop for long as we had to make it back into town in time to drop off our 4WD rental vehicle. Thanks so much for the cache.

Don't you just love ammo GC! Tide was out we saw a Brahminy & Black Kite also a Reef Egret. TFTC cheers
Grey Nomadding and Caching our way up the middle, across the top, down to Perth and home to Adelaide for Xmas. Driving around and grabbing a few caches while here. T.F.T.C.
Tide was way out at this lovely spot. Saw a few birds out and about. Was very surprised to see a caravan park of sorts at the very end of this quite rough road. Great cache. Nice to see some large ones still around. TFTC
A bumpy track in. Unfortunately we arrived around 11am when the tide was getting fairly close to high. Most of the bird life tend to like the flats that are exposed at a lower tide.
We did see a black Kite, a white egret and an eastern egret. Lots of seagulls.
A great container. Wish there were more like this around.
Thanks

Found while holidaying in Broome for my 25th birthday. The car park on the left is now roped off but you can easily park up on the right side of the road. Easy park and grab. Tftc
