It's gone again, due to the history of caches around here I won't bother again, that and I never really liked this one in the first place. TTFN
Checked out the Tuggeranong Schoolhouse first and obtained the number but didn't continue due to too many muggles skating in the area. Will continue with that one another time. Then the easy meander up the little hillock to GZ, (possibly the tiniest hill I've tried!) Searched the area reasonably thoroughly but to no avail. Eventually the geo-puppies were getting bored of going around and around so had to concede defeat with this one.
Took the two geokiddies up there on the way home from school. They were disappointed we couldn't locate it. Even used the clue.
Found a lime green mico-cache sized plastic container and a small ripped open zip lock bag nearby. Hope that this wasn't it.
Sent email to cache owner to check.

Found my first ever cache on the second attempt, thanks to a hint from BigON. Without that it was a tough one but I was on the right track on the first visit!
Nice views and an enjoyable bike ride through the local 'burbs.

This was my first try at Geo caching and I was disappointed I couldn't crack it!! I enjoyed the site and the views but after some 45mins of hunting and trying to decipher the clues I have to report a DNF. I'll ride there and try again one day soon.
I'm glad to see that some with lots more experience than I have also reported DNF's.

This was one tough nut to crack! After spending 30 minutes on my first visit trying to locate the hide I requested a hint from BigON and returned with high hopes only to be disappointed following another hour of searching.
I returned this afternoon to meet up with Big Matt who was completing the nearby multi to enlist his help. He arrived some 15 minutes earlier and had commenced a thorough search to re-find the hide but had not had success by the time of my arrival. After a couple of minutes of looking I spotted the hide. I must have been over every single blade of grass on the hill in my previous visits and today it just jumped up at me!
I was fortunate to visit Gallipoli on the 85th anniversary of the landing in 2000 and luckily before the bulldozers reshaped Anzac Cove. A very sombre and moving place, the nature of the terrain and the absolute hardships experienced by these brave men is completely unexplainable unless viewed with one's own eyes.
I'm not sure how the latest hint really can be of help but finally I can strike this one off the list. TFTC.

The problem muggle seems to have gone offline recently so I have provided a hint. Have fun.
Out and about for a little caching, this seemed like a good spot to visit. Unfortunately at GZ someone has turned over every rock in the place. I had a pretty good look for the cache but couldnt find it. No doubt it's still there, I just couldnt find the right hidey-hole.
17.35hrs Great hike up the hill pushing a pram. Fantastic fun for the geokids.

Due to recent spate of DNFs on this one we decided to check the cache this morning for a work colleague and can confirm that it is still there and intact...just waiting to be found .
Could not find last weekend so enlisted the help of Illallangi and we spent another half hour searching and still could not find it.
Did not find
Went for a walk with TheMurrayPirates, was searching through the rocks for quite a while before we gave up, went and found 3 caches afterwards to make up for it.

Searched for nearly half an hour but to no avail. Will have to contact BigOn for a clue.
This was our first "attempt" to find a cache, unfortunately after 15 minutes of searching we could not find it and so set off to find the Monaro TB Tanks.
522 - No rain this Friday arvo and so I managed to get a few caches in...
After a great experience at a nearby cache I really wanted to complete Simpson's Hill...
I have had the honour and pleasure of visiting Gallipoli twice. Both times I have spent time in Beach Cemetery and looked upon the grave of John Simpson Kirkpatrick and can not comprehend what these magnificent original ANZACs went through...
When you visit the 'Nek' and see the actual ground that the LH tried to attack (as seen in the final scenes of 'Gallipoli') you realise what a futile campaign it really was...
Anyway - I stormed this tiny hill in safe Canberra - and oh boy was there some work to do ! Looking around the rocks I was rewarded by finding the cache container after a few minutes.
TNLN - TFTC !!
Cheers....

After finding a number of other similar hides this one didn't take too long. Was handy to a nearby control on the Metrogaine we were on so was great match.
I can see that this one must have frustrated people, every rock in the area has been overturned. But you used the same trick that you did for another cache of yours so I spotted it pretty easily.
Dog found this one for me...Something mustn't have smelt the way it should have. Thanks.
Another little hill I didn't know existed in the burbs. Nice bench nearby to sit and log my visit. I thought the near by plaque and old Tuggeranong school house were very interesting. A farm style residence in the middle of suburbia. Well placed mirco found easy enough.

#87 - Came back after receiving BogON's hint and the place looks rather like our lawn did when the Currawongs were hunting for mullie grubs. There were rocks overturned or disturbed all over the place. Luckily, the magic hiding spot was undisturbed and we have finally signed this off. Can see why we missed it.
Thanks for the hint and for the Cache BigON

Very well hidden, was about to give up then saw it Take the Repellant, very friendly flies, Well done.
Found on 2nd attempt with a little 'help'.
Well hidden, must have walked over the top of it 15 times on previous attempt. No entry, forgot my pen... Thanks

Dropped by for a new set of photo clues and a check of the cache, all good and a new log sheet loaded for the next set of finders.

Not found, 4 of us trampled a lot of grass & turned over many rocks, but to no avail. First attempt after a few years without a gps. How small can a 'micro' be? Cheers
Found with frebbles. Didn't take too long to find thankfully. Nice and quiet in the area today and getting rather warm. TFTC!
Found with Hayleylou,
Nice hide, thankfully in the sun and the warming weather it was found quickly. This could have taken a bit longer had the brain not been working right at the time.

Was confident I could find this after finding 'Axe to Grind' (cheers BigON). Set out early and although it took around 10 minutes I finally sighted it. Managed to leave my pen somewhere so had to hike back to car to get another (lesson learnt there) and then back to sign the log.

28th of 39 finds on day 2 of Oenze and my ACT trip. Yet another hill but a gentle climb this time. Cahe was well hidden but we got there in the end. Thanks BigON
Find # 1942 and 21st of the 3rd day at 3:14pm. on our longweekend caching trip to Canberra accompanied by Feathertop. Woo Hoo easy find. TNLN, Signed Log, Thanx BigON....
This took a while, hunted for ages, then read the cache page again and thought a bit harder. Finally Edvern found it. Admired the views too. A cunning hide. TFTC
Found with Tramper Ted and orienteering friends. Took us ages to find, even as a group - cleverly done, thanks!
found pretty easily actually. I love this place, played up here with my brother heaps when we were kids. Chisholm is my home town

This one took me ages, and I had to stand around 'talking' on my mobile a few times to avoid looking suspicious. Found it eventually - TFTC! Liv of LivandMez
Found at 1100, a very sneaky way to hide a cache, great views from here. GPS reading was spot on. TFTH TFTC.
A rock and a micro...not the Nilbog's forte, we scoured and missed it and left.
I was going to do this one over a year ago, but have only just started caching again. My GPS had 2 simpsons on it. I quickly found the right one and was on my way again.
Once again, a very sneaky little cache. Nearly wasn't only the muggles that were fooled as these litte cachers didn't read the notes properly, so didn't initially realise that it was a micro.
We were definitely between a rock and a hard place for quite a while.
Thanks for the challenge!!

Had no idea this was here until brought this way by Geocaching. Jessie the Geo0Bear & I quite enjoyed this, with the first of these types of hide.... worked well.
I am logging the Canadian Forces GC through (in & out as there no room to leave it) as the coin is military oriented & seemed suitable.

Took ages, but persistence...Good hide I was looking for that type of container however still f8c5ed me. Then realised had not writing implement and had to return to the car before I could log the find. Good one. Thank you.
The Leechie family decided to venture up this hill on this cold windy day. and after about 20 mins of searching Mother of Leechie found the cache. Very neat hide
Well hidden, walked up and thought I would have this and be back in the car in 2 minutes, HA I was dreaming! It took me almost 20 minutes to find this. Was about to give up, took one last look at the GPS and walked to the indicated spot and sat down. Only to find...........bingo. Gotcha!!
Thank you Steven, Susan and Sean

After a brief history lesson to explain who Simpson was we had a go at this one from the South (that's what we took the cache page to mean) then after arriving at the top we saw a nicer looking road leading from the north right to the cache. Isn't it always the way.The cache has blended well with it's surroundings.
Thanks anyway Bigon for the cache.

Popped out for a brief window of caching around the commitments of our offspring. Found this after a couple of minutes of looking - clever hide. TFTC
#501 seems to be a tend today. We park the cacher at what we think to be the best lace only to notice a better location once we are at the cache. A great hide that surrendered quickly to the probes of the caching wand (a 450mm long fibreglass tent pole). Another lovely view. TFTC
After much searching around the area, I decided to actually trust my GPS. Set it down to let it settle, and the compass and the 8 sat averaging pointed right to the final location. Afterwards, walked right to it. I'm doing an in & out on the Monkey TB, since I've been micro caching since I brought it back from Darwin. I needed to get it registered locally. Let me know if it's an issue. Thanks for replacing this one and making it so tricky to find. Keeps it fun. Cheers.
Our twenty-second of thirty finds on our third and last day in Canberra. (100/108 for the trip.)
This cache wasn't on the list for some reason though as we were in the neighbourhood we couldn't drive past without taking a look. Mrs HMF was on the ball again and made a quick find. Thanks to BigON for the cache.

2nd go for the DR on this one, this time in the rain, which has helped bed it in even better! Great hide..
Cheers for the cache, DR Z.

DNF for the doctor on this one....on ANZAC day as well! The DR will be back. Cheers!
Found with GeoGranny from Scotland and GeoHound Cougar. A nice quick walk for Cougs although it was a bit like the man in the Bigpond DVD advert on telly where the poor little dog only gets walked to the end of the garden path! New cache location is only 212m from where I live so it's a bit embarrasing that it's taken us this long to find it! Anyway, love the new container and hide - and we made sure that there was no-one else on the hill at the same time. TFTC
One very sneaky cache, look every where for this one but in the end i found it so thankyou
2nd time back to attempt this one. BigON confirmed my suspicions after my DNF last time, and this afternoon I found the cache within five minutes.

Loved seeing Booroomba and Gibraltar Peak from this angle and height.
You must have bought the hide/cache in bulk - we found them again at Axe to Grind.

Found @ 11:55am with SecretSquirrel-BJC. Had us looking for a few minutes but eventually picked the likely culprit. Realised after we replaced the cache and started walking back down just how close we were to being "caught" by local muggle kids. All's well that ends well. TNLN.
My 2nd visiting after DNF, and thanks to BigOn for the pictures to help me, well camouflaged, forgot to bring pictures to GZ but my memory served me well and with a little perseverance I found myself sitting down next to the Cache and signing the log

Well, now that I'm logging it seems a tradition for first attempts to be DNFs. I was only up here for 10 minutes or so and will attempt again on a later date.
LOL, almost didn't do this one after the splurb about how even the hider had trouble finding it again, but less than about 20 seconds from arriving near GZ my wife goes, "I think I've found it" And indeed she had.
Don't be put off by this one, if we can find it anyone can.

2nd time lucky - with help. This time I was so confident about what & where I was looking that I even left my GPSr in the car. That was a mistake, because after 15 mins of fruitless searching (in 30+deg heat) I ended up trudging back to the car to get it! Then I found the cache very quickly, so I can finally cross this one off the list. I was very well hidden, yet easy to spot when you know what to look for. TFTC & help BigON.

I certainly found that looking during the daylight was far more productive than searching by torchlight. I'm sure I shone my torch on the cache but didn't recognise it.
As soon as I saw the area I knew I was in trouble. It was sunset and I left my torch in the car. Searched for a while, then went and got my torch. Spend a good half hour searching. Could clearly see the evidence of previous searches. I have an inkling of what to look for but alas nothing. I did find a hole that a cache could fit into, but it was empty.
I thought I was on a roll today, but all good things must come to an end... I spent the first 15 mins or so searching for probably the wrong thing, then I had a brainwave and spent anothe 30mins or so searching for what I think was the right thing but still didn't find it . Will need to call in a hint & try again another day...

The kids and I hunted around on the hilltop for about 20 minutes this afternoon before rain stopped play. I had an idea of what I was looking for, but didn't come up with the goods. I'll have to try again another day.
Found after a search with Big M and McPhan in the afternoon, after indoor soccer was cancelled.
Well, after a 30 minute hunt with sw2092 and no find last night, tonight was a little easier! Well – the extra hint did help! Mind you I’m sure I searched there yesterday! Was there at sunset tonight, and it was fantastic! (see pics). Views were great, but the sunset topped it off nicely. Thanks BigON for the cache!
Nah, A-Z Canberra tours is more than that!
Rode my bike all the way up here from the Murrumbidgee cache, beautiful scene just to look at the low clouds over the Tugg valley and the dawn light just creeping through.
Decided I'd better go caching, seeing that is what I was here for. Walked over to the cache site, dumped the bike, then spent 15 mins looking here, there, and everywhere. Sat down and had a think, refreshed the brain, looked again - found it a mere 1m from the bike - AHA!!!
Signed log, thanks BigON.
This was no. 2 of 3 for the early morning bike ride, 34km on the road bike caching on the way to work, Coooeeeeee.

433. What a difference a day (and help from BigOn) makes. Still took 15 minutes to find it with help from CoolAid and Big M. Views are surprisingly good from this spot. Panoramic views of a large slice of the area. Thanks for bringing me here to experience the area (twice.)
Rated: for Overall Experience
sw2092 you think you had troubles. I went for another first on this after doing Black Betty. Found that I'd accidentally loaded Black Betty twice so had to return home. CoolAid's bus didn't come so I offered to drive him to Tuggeranong so that I could have another go at it. After searching for twenty five minutes,I headed off to work in Dickson only to find I was already late for a meeting in Woden. So chasing this one caused me to go from Weston Creek to Tuggeranong to North Canberra to Woden. Almost as much travelling as A-Z Canberra Tours.
Anybody beat that?

Bah Humbug to the muggle thief [:(!] If he/she can find it quickly, they are a better cacher than I (though maybe that's not setting the bar too high...). Hoping for a FTF with this one, but I groaned when I saw the area. Sure enough, no find. I suppose that I should have been warned when Big On said that he had trouble finding it himself after a while. I also suspect that I was scoped by a fellow cacher - at least they went to the effort of doing a few stretching exercises before strutting off again. Anywayz, good luck to the FTF'er !
A FTF in ACT! Not easy to come by. We had just finished 3 caches around Lake BG and were on our way home when sw2092 sent an SMS to say that he'd met TankEngine while looking for a cache they couldn't find. So we swung past home, checked the site, found that a FTF was likely to be still up for grabs, rang sw2092 back, and as he was keen for a spot of night caching the three of us headed out and poked around by torch light looking for it.
So after about half an hour of random poking, we came up with the goods. And our 2nd FTF with sw2902. Signed the log, and then went home for some celebratory banana smoothies.
Oh, and many thanks to my lovely geowife for buying me a headlamp for geocaching for Valentines day. She gave it to me a few days early as she thought it would be handy for this trip.

Ah, the agony and ecstasy of caching. Today I have had a DNF, an STF and finally a FTF. I DNF'd this cache earlier in the day, was second to find another BigON cache, and now can claim this one as a joint FTF with Wasptor. And it's my 150th
Wasptor, Tegs and I worked as a fine team, and it was a night find too! Thanks to BigON for the clue, and for the cache. Even with the clue, you will still probably need to work very hard for this cache !
