In May, I spend some wonderful days in Tasmania together with xhead. The wild nature with its mountains, steep cliffs and wide, green forests was amazing. Especially we liked the special wildlife you can only find here. We visited Port Arthur, the really great Unzoo where you can spot Tasmanian devils and many other animals, we hiked in the Cradle Mountain Park and explored some places on the North coast before taking the ferry to Melbourne. On our Tassie-visit, we searched for some caches. Some were really well hidden, and it took us some time to find. Thanks a lot to the Tasmanian GC-Community for hiding all this caches.

Together with Akirey I spent some weeks on Tasmania. We visited many great spots like the Unzoo in the South East or the wilderness near Mt.Ossa. Also we searched for some caches and luckily we found the most if them.

Our current visit to Australia had been in the planning for over a year with the very significant help and advice from friends who live in Melbourne. The original plan was for a 2 month visit, but as things progressed we just couldn't help extending our trip to the full 90 days allowed on our visas - after all it's a big country and so much to see and do, especially with our favourite pastimes being birding, hiking and of course geocaching! Our journey started with our arrival at Perth airport followed by a day cycling around Rottnest Island before travelling on to Adelaide where we met up with our friends. We then continued on to spend some time on Kangaroo Island, before heading to Melbourne via Goolwa, Strathalbyn, Coorong, Mount Gambier, Cape Bridgewater, the Grampians National Park, Port Campbell, Cape Otway and Lorne, cramming in as much as possible on route. We are now here in Tasmania on the second leg of our journey. We then head back to Melbourne before setting off to Sydney via Wilson’s Promontory, Lakes Entrance, Mallacoota, Pambula Beach, Thredbo, Canberra and Fitzroy Falls. After a visit to Sydney we will travel on to the Gold Coast, then after spending a few days in the nearby mountainous birding hotspots, followed by an overnight trip to Fraser Island, we will fly from Brisbane to Cairns, visiting yet more good birding sites. We will then drive up to Cape Tribulation before heading back south again to Port Douglas and a day out on the Great Barrier Reef. We then return to Cairns for the flight to Alice Springs, where we will hire a 4x4 camper and set off for a week on the circuit to and from Kings Canyon and Ayers Rock. We then fly to Darwin from where we will spend the last two weeks of our holiday making our way to Broome via Kakadu, Cooinda, Katherine Gorge, Kununarra, Lake Argyle, Emma Gorge, the Bungle Bungle’s and Fitzroy Crossing. Our last two nights in Australia will be spent in Broome before we fly back to Perth, from where we will connect with the flight all the way back home to Zimbabwe via South Africa. We already know we can't wait to return!
A nice quick find at Ground Zero. Thanks so much for the cache.

Found it looking very sad and yucky but met Pyroeis here who is getting more paper and a plastic bag as I write this log. This is such a pretty spot. Also found another further along the beach - with the help of my new friend Pyroeis, from across the seas. Having written all that - he didn't have a plastic bag. So- log will be getting wet. Sorry Sirius.
Having boasted to Ottoboy1 that I had a CRK in the car found that I had left it at my holiday apartment in Shearwater. So the best I could do was provide some paper. TFTC
To Ottoboy1 it was a great pleasure meeting you and best wishes for happy caching in the future.

Another DNF / NM to add to the growing list. We gave GZ a thorough going over without success. We fear that penguins may have dragged this one off. Nice park for a cuppa though. Thanks sirius.
It would appear from recent logs the cache has been moved. May not be in it's original place. This one could do with checking by the CO.
Found a small sistema container 20m away from cache site, but couldn't find the actual cache. We believe it's been muggled.
Came here with The-Shredder today. What a nice town. We put the container and the remaining items back at the GZ. Next Cacher should bring a new logbook. TFTC Skyryser

Travelling around Australia and spending a few months in Tasmania.
Today we had a casual start to the day. After lunch we headed over to Ulverstone to do some shopping but of course we found a few caches along the way!
Such a lovely coast line.

Found the container out in the open, no logbook or pen but people had been signing a playing card in the box. We had little home made logs in the car so replaced the log but didn't have a pencil to add.
Added a scout and put the container in a better hiding spot before we left. TFTC

Found it down an embankment

Sadly im pretty sure this has been muggled. Its a lovely spot to visit but i looked for quite a while especially where the small rocks were and there were a few items lying about. As i was going back to the car a fellow who was playing in the park with his kids called out " did you find the cache?" Oops! Caught! When i told him "no" he offered to help. Sure enough, the spot i thought was where it shouldve been was where he had previously found it. So- i will send a message to the hider. Sorry that your work was destroyed but thanks for getting me out and about.
Hi sirius- sadly i thinks its gone. A few colourful bits and pieces looking sad and lonely at the base of the boulder.
Sorry to Ottoboy for missing cache. Seems this one is destined for trouble.
Will try and replace asap...many thanks for your logs...cheers Sirius.
