Further to my note from today's visit, I think that you need to check the cache location.
I thought it was a great hide location as did my kids, but seemed that every kid in the town turned out once we went under the bridge.
[?] Just looking at other logged notes suggests that it may have gone missing before I arrived for a search, Chaplain Mike
Went with GeoKids to find what should have been a simple find.
it's a nice way to discover the rich history of local towns, it'd be even nicer to find the reward at the end of the hunt.
Looked in every conceivable spot under the bridge, but to no avail.
Thanks for the history lesson, but I think the cache had been muggled by local kids. (Seems that we were swarmed by muggle kids on scooters while we had a look under the bridge) Chaplain Mike

After enjoying the challenge of finding all the pieces of this puzzle, Team_Seegs was unable to find the prize. We looked over, UNDER, everywhere, no luck. Checked clues & co-ords, still no luck....

A large gathering at the other local church in memory of an obviously popular local (a car club man as I later learned, which explained the large number of well maintained older models - I especially like the orange Plymouth) Required information quickly gathered, a short run through town, a stop for lunch at the calculated place.....but no cache found. I've missed obvious ones before, so it may well be there still. Thanks.
Today was another day in trying to bring some cache logs up to date.
Our apologies to the cache owner but there has been many issues that have slowed us down and hopefully once all our caches are up to date we will log on the go. the second cache of 19 today. My thanks to Spruce Mooses for the cache.

We started this one awhile back but unfortunately the container at gz was missing, today we again made a detour on the way home from Bendigo with the Coffee Clan. Having a container with us we replaced the cache. Unfortunately we only had two containers with us, one was too large so now it's an eclipse container
Many thanks Spruce Mooses for a very enjoyable Romsey Ramble
Many thanks Spruce Mooses for a very enjoyable Romsey Ramble
This one is definately gone. We'll be away for a couple of weeks so i'll replace this one when I return.
Have to agree with the last log - no cache to be found here... The area seems like a popular hang-out for the local kids so there's a good chance this one's been muggled.
We were hoping to get our first Romsey cache but we are fairly sure that this one is MIA. Spent about 15 minutes poking around the sparse obvious spots.
This was my last one for the day before the final haul home. There was still enough light to collect the clues but by the time I reached GZ after a particularly bodgie bit of arithmetic that nearly had me heading back to Lancefield (don't ask ), the head lamp was well and truly needed. Thankfully, it worked well and I was soon logging the find at 18:05.
TNLNSL, although our night cache geocoin had a visit to mark the occasion. Thanks Spruce Mooses.

Our friends have just moved to Romsey and we made an afternoon of Geocaching the local area, this was the logical first stop on our journey – walking distance from their home. Found at 2:30pm took bubbles, left a native hunter.

Continuing on my anti-clockwise trip around the Macedon Ranges, this was my next stop and, after gathering the necessary info, I was soon at GZ. Things came a little unstuck here though, as there were 3 possibilities nearby and my calculations didn't favour "what turned out to be" the correct one. After giving the wrong two spots a good checkover, I rechecked my calculations, but maybe I made some other mistake, because it still didn't put me at the 3rd likely spot - but I had a quick look there anyway, and the cache was easily spotted
TNLN
Thanks Spruce Mooses - Romsey looks like a nice, prosperous little town.

Lide a few others in this neck of the woods this one has been on my list for a while. It was a cold clear morning and the clues were found quite easily as was the cache, whihc was slightly exposed. A lovely old town I must have driven through although I can't rermember when.
Thanks Spruse Mosses for the cache and the reason to stop and look around a little.

nice little walk around a nice town, was a cold windy day but that didnt stop us from enjoying the find
Found by Team Ladava 4.10 pm while out trying our new GPS
This has been a marathon effort as we enjoyed exploring this lovely green town last year but were thwarted at GZ by a group of the local kids settled in under the adjacent road bridge.
Finally went back today for the find and even then had to wait out (or hang around long enough to annoy) some more on their bikes before the find was made.

Our thanks to Spruce Mooses for this lovely little multi.

Found at 1015. A nice little mutli set in a quint little town 've had the pleasure of visiting brefore. It was a nice touch to visit the WW2 plaque especially today.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Found on a pleasant afternoon caching. Romsey still has a nice little country feel about it, although I suspect a lot of people commute each day. In car, out hi-lighter. SL TFTC
Collected the info and did the maths, then short drive to GZ. Cache found soon after then it was onto a warmer venue in Lacefield.
Another nice little town. Cache found easily, but harder to replace as a muggle turned up with his toddler. While we were waiting for them to leave (the sun had come out!) we searched for your bakery but found it to be shut. We then had no choice but to go and order a delicious Devonshire Tea from the local cafe. By the time these bloated cachers returned to GZ muggle was gone and cache replaced. TNLN. TFTC.
I had my Dad on board for this one.
His first time out caching!
He enjoyed the ride and learnt a bit of history on the way.

Cache find #6 of our Macedon area expedition on a lovely sunny winter's day. We stopped off at Sam's Cafe for arvo tea then collected the clues and headed off to the GZ.
The smallest team member recovered the cache at 15:45.
T: $2 coin, singing magnets (these are great!)
L: 2 fabric paints, 1 highlighter.
A nice little walk through this pretty little town - thanks to the Spruce Mooses.

We made a detour on our way home from Bendigo to grab this cache. We collected the info at Wpt1 with out even getting out of the car (it was very hot). Off to wpt2 where we came unstuck. There is a lot of refurbishing work going on here and we couldn't locate the plaque. Unable to reach The Spruce Mooses by phone we rang Team Rubik who was able to help us out. Headed to gz where we were unable to search as there were muggles playing with their kids very close to gz. Went and bought an ice cream and came back and they were still there with no signs of leaving We will have to return another day
Found this morning on our way home by Zeron and Vampire Chick. Nice one to find

[207] 8.35 am - Found on our way to Sunbury with cdmark and Team Rubik - I have always like Romsey as well but it sure has changed a lot! it was nice to stop here again although just briefly - one way point was under construction so we had to rely on cdmark's memory to get that clue. - TFTC Spruce Mooses - cheers.
While logging this cache I ran into an old school friend of mine. He was up early taking his son to the park while his wife slept in. He knew all about geocaching as I had gone out caching with his younger brother in Geelong but this was the first one he got to see. I might have another convert.
Thanks for the beautiful waypoints, the information at one was a bit difficult to get so I had to rely on Cdmark's memory.
Cheers,
R - B

Found 10:25, I must have mucked up some were along the line in either counting, recording or calculating. So I was well away from GZ [B)] luckily when I read the clue I recalled driving past a likely spot and returned to it and quickly found the cache
TNLN, CSI=2, thanks to the Spruce Mooses.

We were on our way back to Kyneton after visiting friends in Oaklands Junction so we did this cache while waiting for our fish and chips at the nearby shop. The old council chambers look like they are having some major work done to them. Thanks Spruce Mooses for the cache.

Well we didn't have our swap bag with us (as the day was planned out as a 4WD trip with our club) but we couldn't resist picking up a few caches on our way home.
Swapped a badge for a $2 coin

Found by Pickupfamily Dad at 1005hrs. Unlike the Spruce Mooses, I have always had a soft spot for Romsey (maybe I just like the sound of the name), despite Mum forcing to come for some Ploughmans Lunches somewhere in town when were kids. Found the clues easily but had more trouble than I should have at GZ. Found in the last place I looked (you knowwhat I mean). TNLN. Thanks again Spruce Mooses. Its great to be highlighting these towns.

This was our first stop of the day and we started a bit rockily be stopping at the wrong church. I'm glad to say that we soon had ourselves on the right track and had all the info in hand to head for GZ. We had to wait for a few minutes here as there were some children playing in the playground nearby, but while they were arguing with their parents about extending play time, we ducked out of sight and soon had the log signed and were gone before the argument was over. Thanks!
Number 08 for the day on our 'C's Get Out & Get Caching Birthday Weekend'. Not a bad spot to set up home base Spruce Mooses! A nice pleasant country town with some great old buildings. I hope the fences around the councils offices are for renovations and not demolition though! Nice quick find at GZ but needed a touch though as getting dark by now. Cache remains in good order. Cheers.

Found at 2.45pm GAFF1. We enjoy Romsey - Cope Williams, wine, fantastic lunch, Royal Tennis. As we were looking for the cache a group of the local children were playing in the creek - that is IN the creek. It must have been freezing! Thanks Spruce Mooses. Took: Whistle, Left: pack of stamps.
Rambled around as required and after dodging a few muggles at GZ we made the find. Feeling a bit under attack from Robmc after reading his logs though. Not really.
Took a bear keyring and Rob dropped a TB here according to my notes, although his logs say he left it in The ghosts of coach and horses. Might be a mistake here.
Thanks indeed.

Nice quiet town on a saturday morning. Bit early for Chewin's coffee fix, so we grabbed the information and the cache and we were off.
Thanks, Robmc.
Thanks, Robmc.
Stopped off in Romsey en route to Broadford. Took a wander through the town and found the cache an easy find. Cleaner was the only "muggle" present, and after he had left, I had the cache in hand. I left a USA pen and took the Geocoin.

Found on our way to Melbourne. We seem to have spent a lot of our time under similar structures recently. We also had lunch at the nearby cafe and they do have the best coffee. Geogirl loved the hot chocolate too - its really syrupy. Great to see so many cafes here - its not that long ago that you could only get a hot dog at the petrol station. Took keyring and frog sticker and left elephants and keyring. TFTC.
Found at 10:32am. 1st find for the day. Accompanied by Wheelchair Access. We had a nice drive around the town but it was a bit too early for lunch so we didn't visit the local bakery. Had to wait for a group of muggles to clear the area before we could search GZ. TNLN, Signed Log, Thax Spruce Mooses....
Found by Bevfre,12.45pm Live in Romsey for a few years, Nice to see it so green. Took Keyring Left Dice. Thank You Spruce Mooses.

Thanks Spruce Moses 3 of your caches in one day mm we must live in the same area....did not see to TB hope you have it....Dropped off Geocoin.
Found by Mary & David at 1245. A most enjoyable exercise in such a picturesque town. Took up your recommendation of the bakery for lunch, and it does indeed live up to the honourable mention. Called in to the old courthouse but Shelly was working elsewhere today. TNLN, but collected TB 'Hook a Ride' to travel north, dropped off the "Nasu, Japan" Unite for Diabetes Travel Bug for collection by Spruce Mooses. Our thanks again for the cache.
Team members included keymaster and Queen of hearts. Found without too much trouble.. Thanks guys for the cache.

Found this one heading home from work in the NE. Nice easy clues but the cache was sticking out of its hiding hole and I replaced it further back though you may need to keep an eye on it. TNLN thanks spruce mooses.
Found 11.30am
Nice stroll through the first town we lived in when we migrated to Australia from England. The hide took some time to find due mainly to to the high muggle factor.
Took Party Popper
Left A "Keeper of Time" + 3D Stickers

9.26pm D+C Romsey really is a lovely little town and you simply must try the pies at the local bakery, they are the best for miles around. We were happy to dash out and find this cache tonight. This is the closest we have come to a FTF!!! and the closest to our home. Thanks Spruce Mooses.

Another opportunity to enjoy a scenic drive on a lovely summers morning, before the heat of the day sets in, visit this interesting country township, find an equally interesting cache and call in for a coffee at one of our favourite bakeries in Heathcote on the way home!
What more could we ask for!
We left one of our Mondo Figurines for the cache, took nothing, and collected “Wish You Were Here†geocoin, to continue it’s journey.
Thank you Spruce Mooses, for placing another cache relatively close to our home base.
