As there's been no cache to find for some time, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.
Anything happening here? Noted owner has not logged in to Geo-caching for over a year now.
I am a farmer from way back and I doubt if its in the correct spot. May have been moved.
Was with Bookwormmum. 3 pairs of eyes and no luck. I do hear it was a goody. Can ya please check to see if it is still there and if so, I'll be back. Thanks.
On the way back from a New Plymouth caching trip with Kayaknkiwi, Seattle's Best and Indiana Jill. Thought this one would be a great way to finish of an excellent trip, and SB had already found it, so could provide back up in case KnK and I got stuck. But to no avail - unless it has been kicked into the paddock out of reach. Definitely needs to be checked - I hear it's worth the trip!
Had a good look around but found nothing. Had a good idea of what I was looking for (I thought). Could the owner confirm this one is still in play. Thanks anyway (Kids enjoyed the park)
Logbook is still pulp. Needs to be replaced. Nice wander to GZ though. Needs to be a few more caches around here. Thanks.
PS - the logbook was soaking wet, unusable. I left a tiny key as proof that I was there.
Sometimes what you need to do is give it up and come back another day.
Yesterday, I was looking in the right place for the right thing, and couldn't find it. Today, it was easy.

Not having much luck with the caches today. I'm reasonably confident this one is gone - any nearby cachers can confirm?
Took a while, especially as 49er princess & I approached from the opposite side initially. A walk across the sale yards before we realised and had to get back in the car. A walk across the park still had us looking for quite a while, even though I had a pretty good idea what to be looking for. Almost given up, when found exactly where common sense would tell you it should be. Very 'nice' camo. The ants seem to have taken a liking to it too and the log book is damp and needs replacing however.

An easy find as we believed we already knew what to expect! Didn't expect to find golf balls that had been places no golf ball should go!

The Freezer Mice strike again!!!
Was up this way to swipe a FTF so stopped by to grab this one as well.
Given the close vicinty to the sale yards this camo is perfect.
Nil in or out, TFTC.

Had a fair idea what to look for , but still took a bit of a hunt. Nice camo.
Thanks

My gps seemed a bit off with this one, but once the search area was widened it was quickly in hand. TFTC
What a great hidden cache!! Cool idea, it took a little while, we were searching without hint and our GPS told us, that the size is Reg.. Anyway, nice day, found on the way to the beach Port Waikato, beautiful weather (after very, very long time), our 3rd cache in NZ, thanks a lot! Left GC from Aussie, good luck to him!
Annie with her Puke pals went looking for this one. Little miss 9 couldn't believe what she found!!! But it was the right thing after all!!

Nice hide. I had to be reasonably quick as it was starting to rain. Cheers Gav [2132]
Thanks for the cache, nice one, took us a little while to find, needed the hint in the end.
After a false start, (through the saleyards!), we finally found the right way to get there. A great idea, but feel you make it too easy as you give it all away in your hint! TNLNSL,TFTC,
On a short mission from hamilton for day.
Trying out the new Colorado 300 and using some of its features.
As other report some trouble finding approach to GZ !!
Cricket game on today so was a most enjoyable walk to GZ to make an easy find. !!
Then get back home to use the transfer logs to GC.com was cool.
Nice little town of Tuacow on a late Sunday morningf. Was surprised how many shops were open!!

Detour on the way to great croc hunt. Ignored the auto-routing and followed my nose. Cache was in good order thanks to IndianaJill's on-the-fly maintenance the previous day.

Seattle's Best spotted this one first! Nice construction. Appropriate. Love the hint. Uhm, someone had left a coin that did not allow the lid to tighten so everything was wet. I left a new logsheet with a moisture eater in a new bag. Old log is still in cache, but things are pretty cramped in there. Thanks for helping us stretch our legs! Took offending large coin.
Indiana Jill and I mooved right along and hoofed our way to the GZ. Very clever cache, thanks! Indiana Jill provided a little maintenance before we left. TNLN. TFTC!
Visited parents today, since it was such a nice day and the park was deserted thought it would be a good day to do this one. Nice stroll for us all to GZ and found the well camo'd cache -

At first I tried aproaching from the wrong direction, which led me on a merry roundabout chase. Eventually, I found the right angle, and did the trudge out across the open grounds. The hiding spot was ingenious - just like a few I know in the South Island. No swaps, thanks and cheers from Grandalf(1019)
Hmmmmmmm riding pillion on my own bike on a south Auckland cache hunt.... How cool is that ! TK loves the speed and power of Splat the SV650 in the expert hands of pilot XenaCommander.
Chatted to a conscripted cricket muggle... he came to watch but was press ganged into the outfield, how better to enjoy the game.
XC found the goods while TK was still entangled in the nasty spiky bushes ... TKs fur is just like velcro.
Nice camo
Lots of creatures under the cache, slaters and millions of ants who moved their eggs to safety with military precision.
Signed log and swanned off further south

Heading south on Splat with TechnoKitten riding shotgun. Came here with a bit of difficuly finding the right driveway.. There was a local "event" on but we rode by and parked near cricket ground. A game in progress... we got an update of the score from a guy who was roped in to play. Got to GZ and quickly narrowed the search until XC spotted likely pile...
Millions of ant eggs were quickly moved while we signed the log. and then replaced carefully.

Found with relative ease.
+ Pound coin

Not as many ants as in my letterbox! This would be a tricky one to do on a sports day.

Very clever, great camo and placement. No sports today but had a few curious onlookers from next door as I made the grab.

Easy find, seen this type of camo further north. Sports ground deserted today, being a mid-week afternoon. Cache guarded by its own army of ants.

The dogs enjoyed a good run whilst we looked for this one. Great cache idea! Took a while to find as we were not thinking outside the box. Added a few african coins, signed the log and took nothing. Stopped off at the local cafe (which was packed) for lunch afterwards. Great day out. TFTC!
Drove around in a few circles, avoided a cop, but finally got there.

5.30pm. Towards the end of an enjoyable winters caching day we called by to do this one before heading into the Friday evening congestion along the motorway into Auckland. From the logs we had a reasonable idea of the type of camo and had seen one like it placed by Navigull in the Auckland area. Very good. Not a difficult find once the muggles out for an evening stroll had wandered away. GPS pinpointed it very well.

Google Earth lied to me and told me it was in the middle of one of the saleyard fields (and the auto-routing on the GPS agreed with it too grrr)... Figured it couldn't be there so drove around the other side and it was an easy find.
The cows took a real interest in what I was doing and were all crowded around me on the other side of the fence. I fed one of them through the fence. Once I had completed all the formalities and began walkign away they seemed quite disappointed that I wasn't staying longer and expressed themselves very very loudly until I was quite a way back towards the car.
Very nice cammo, although the cache is veyr very wet inside.
Took: 1c and 2c coins
Left: 1c Canadian and 1c US.
Thanks!

Hmmm - maybe cricket is over by 4pm.
Yep! sure was. Luck on our side today, and only dogs and their owners out in the park. Managed to sidle up to cache site, and wondered who would test if this was the cache, or a real one.
whew - the cache! so realistic.
Although slightly damp, the log was well and truly dry.
Thanks for the fun! Even if it meant three visits to nail it.

Found with Tramper Ted. Got very side-tracked into a mushroom hunt on the way. We were close to giving up in our search for this one and then ... success! A very clever cache, thanks.
What a bonus we got today. Field mushrooms had burst through and were everywhere, so we quickly filled a big bag with them before any caching could happen. Here with Edvern and had to search for quite a while before finding this very clever hide. Great stuff! TFTC
Took a young friend on his first geocache adventure. He was thrilled at the disguise. Took a few minutes to find but the thrill of the find more than made up for it. Took a couple of coins and replaced them with some others. Thanks for the effort that has gone into this one.
Huge disappointment with this cache.
Arrived at 12.30pm to find a game on. Lots of spectators, so we headed around the far end. We could see one group of spectators way, way away from all the rest, picnicking with their vehicle, watching us watching them. Had a quick thought - bet GZ is right by them. Sure was . 6m next to GZ. Passed pleasantries with them, headed to look over the fence, pretended to take great interest in the strange prunings of the pine trees, and got within 4m of the cache. But not game enough to seek it out fully under the glare of these muggles.
Went off, returned 3 hours later - number of muggles had multiplied significantly.
Will have to return another time.

On the way home from a trip to Coromandel. I knew I'd need an investigative stick for this one, especially if there were other similar items around. This one was so realistic I had to prode it anyway to be absolutely sure. Great job!!

Spent all day in Auckland on a non-caching family outing but on the way home managed to convince everyone to make a slight deviation off the motorway. Arrived at an unlikely looking spot and had to climb three fences and met a couple of bull-a-cows before getting to GZ. Mrs Zorgon bailed out at fence number one. For future reference, if you are NOT parked at a cricket/sports ground when you get out of the car I suggest you try "the other" road to approach from. No fences if you come the right way.
Anyway back to the story. Only 5 m from GZ when we saw a chap skulking along the other side of the hedgerow. I quietly asked the kids if they could see a GPSr on him but before they could answer a voice asked if we were geocaching. Turns out we were just about to meet the cache owner who was a little surprised that nobody had found it yet.
That was interesting news to me as I was convinced that someone else would have grabbed the FTF by now after several days since being published.
Excellent camo job too by the way and nice to meet you Denze!!
