Logs

06-Aug-09
We didn't realise this one had been archived, so spent a bit of time looking. Like the previous DNF, we too were confidant we had the right place - no wonder we couldn't find it.
Nice bit of urban art.

06-Aug-09
Another case of a cache being archived between when I ran the pocket query in NZ and when we searched for it. In future will have to do some spot checks just before going caching!

04-Aug-09
yep... it's gone again.

01-Aug-09
I can confirm that the cache is not there anymore.
With the attached photo, you can see that I found the magnet which should keep the cache on it's place. Unfortunatly I haven't found the box.
Even though I think I deserve to log the cache as found. Hopefully the owner can confirm me the logchance.
Logged 14h50.

01-Aug-09
It looks like this one has gone missing. We'll check it out and advise.

27-Jun-09
We are pretty confident we had the right spot but there was a bit of damage to the area. Wondering if it is still there...

31-May-09
One of the magnets has come detached from the container. Other magnet still holds container in place, if it is replaced carefully.

31-May-09
Out today on a city assault with Mrs Ant24, geobub and Claire_geo. This was the first of 12 caches.

I sat on a nearby seat with geobub and watched Mrs Ant and Claire_geo search all round the place for cache. After thinking about the info suuplied for a while I headed straight to GZ and quickly located the cache.

Signed log at 10:20am.

No Swaps

31-May-09
Out today on a city assault with Ant24, geobub and Claire_geo. This was the first of 12 caches.

Searched for a while but Ant24 found this one.

Signed log at 10:20am.

No Swaps

TFTC

31-May-09
Out caching today with Mr & Mrs Ant24 & Alexis. After wandering around for some time searching for it Mr Ant24 got up from his seat and wandered straight over to find it. If only I had thought about the clues a bit more... seems so obvious now Wink TFTC!

22-May-09
TFTF!

16-May-09
Found this one at night with SongMonk. We were thwarted from finding it earlier in the evening, as there were teenage muggles hanging out around the stairs. We came back later, and SongMonk identified GZ fairly quickly. Thanks for the cache!

16-May-09
When we stopped by earlier in the evening, there were a bunch of kids sitting on the stairs (the higher stairs, not the ones leading up from the horns). So we had to come back later in the evening. Followed the hint, still a wide area to look, but we found it! TFTC.

11-May-09
Found this evening at 23:21, place was deserted. Easier to spot than it was to retrieve :p

Took nothing, signed log, left TB "Wooden Puzzle Piece #10". Hopefully, with all those backpackers right across the street, it'll be on its way soon.

11-May-09
Found with geoconspirator captainflux as below and feeling utterly sheepish. Spent over an hour here a few days ago only to have him spot it immediately after we figured out the clues. TFTC!

04-May-09
We dropped by and replaced the cache container today - it is now a 200 ml Systema so it should be nice and waterproof.... whoever introduced those stupid bloody Eclipse tins anyway!?!?!?

19-Apr-09
Found after a short walk around although the cache needs some maintenace as the book is soaking wet. Unable to sign. Good idea for a cache though..

Sinninen64

19-Apr-09
New dry log book needed and some way to keep it dry.

Sinninen64

18-Apr-09
Found after a search with Squigglo0. GPS reception was indeed hopeless, so relied on the clues alone. Eight steps away, quite literally 8 steps. After looking around saw a potential hiding spot where dropping the cache wouldn't be a good idea, and there it was. Needs some loving though, the logbook is uselessly wet. couldn't even sign it at all. Great hide though TFTC.

10-Apr-09
Very very sneaky hide....unfortuneately soggy wet log needs repair and waterproofing. TFTC

10-Apr-09
Lovely clues...but very wet. Needs a plastic bag inside. Paper hopelssly sodden.

15-Mar-09
Our third one for today but alas no cache for us although it was quite for a Sunday afternoon and we had a very good look around. Will try again next we're in town.

10-Mar-09
Got close to GZ & I saw the big horns.... glad there wasn't a bull attached to them...... would have needed more than eight steps to get away from it if it was real!!!! Smile
The cache description gave the game away & the likely hidey hole was spotted straight away. A quick find, but with the wet log & my dodgy pen, I was barely able to leave my mark in the log book. Scratched our name in the book & folded the page over that has our name on it to protect it a bit more.
Thanks HMF - another good quality micro & I don't say that very often.

Cheers.

26-Feb-09
yep - another DNF - but I think I know where it may be - I just didn't want to put my arm in there.

May try again when it's quieter. Nice sculpure BTW - visting from Adelaide so never would have thought to come here.
TFTC

24-Feb-09
Found with Rogainer after a night of beer, festivities and Work

TFTC. It was a good way to clear the head before heading home

24-Feb-09
It has taken me a long time to get to this cache at the right time - free of muggles.
I first strolled past this one about 18 months ago - had a fair idea of where the cache would be, but lunchtime is not a good time to find it.
So, tonight after a dinner function in the city, Dtay and myself strolled over for a quick find around 9:10pm.

Log book was quite damp, but still managed to scrawl my log.

Thanks HMF

09-Feb-09
Took my time finding this one. Then had muggle issues when returning. TFTC

25-Jan-09
Search abandoned at 10:54, too many muggles tonight to search properly.

19-Jan-09
Found at 1144. It was muggle central when I arrived but they all soon moved back inside. It must of been break time. Anyway with the GZ clear with the title object in view I took steps to find the cache. TFTC.

05-Jan-09
Found with Matt_Stomper & Shell_Seeker. I am new to the sport and enjoyed the experience. This was my first day caching and this was one of 11 found. TFTC.

05-Jan-09
Found with matt_stomper on a trip to Brissy. Geodad (Larry) came along for the day to find out about geocaching. Very cryptic clues but once I took the time to work them out logically, I realised they were very clear. Great hide and thanks for the hunt.

05-Jan-09
Found with Shell_Seeker. Shell worked out the clues after a little bit. TFTC

01-Jan-09
Dropped by today to replace the logbook and also added a new stash-note.

The pencil has gone missing so be sure to bring one with you.

01-Jan-09
Found at 9:40. It is where the clue says but we spent a while looking elsewhere. We planned this expedition guessing correctly that the coast would be clear in that area on the morning after New Years Eve.

31-Dec-08
Had read previous logs before and wondered how we would be able to get the cache easily with so many people around. After midnight caching during the week makes it rather simple. Mongy spotted the hidey spot rather quickly. As previously noted, log book may need some attention. Sorry, didn't have a spare one with me.

29-Dec-08
Found with geo-uncle Lat&Long Junkie on our geo-cycle city caching day. We eventually figured out what where we had to be and what we had to do. Finally the cache was located. A few muggles but with two of us it just seemed less obvious what we were doing. TFTC

29-Dec-08
Even after the cryptic clues were understood, this cache was a difficult find. Glad Bedmaker was there to help. He spotted it, I retrieved it. One pair of eyes is not nearly enough to keep a lookout at this GZ. TN/LN/SL.

27-Dec-08
found this one with tofska,Moneydork and ADV

27-Dec-08
Team GPS.org.nz Cache Raid: No one about here on Saturday evening - good time to search. Finally made sence of the description. T4TC, M@

27-Dec-08
It was great to finally get this one, having failed to find it on a previous visit. TFTC.

26-Dec-08
Glad I finally got this one Razz It has been bugging me every time I have come to Brisbane... the students seem to ALWAYS be having lunch! But not today!

Left my name on the back of the piece of paper that has been left in there.

TFTC!

22-Dec-08
Really Happy to have found this one! Great hide in a busy location. Loved the challenge! TFTC Unfortunatly we discarded the contents of the cache becasue they were moldy, smelly and wet. We left our name on a small piece of paper but will need a new log and paper etc.

21-Dec-08
Visited by Pickupfamily Dad from Melbourne mid-afternoon. Enjoyed the sculpture (I love all the public art in Brisbane), had a few quick looks in obvious locations, then moved on. Thanks for bringing me here anyway.

20-Dec-08
Looked for this one some time ago without luck.

Had put some thought in on where it could be since last here and when we walked right past here with MaPN as part of the City Trippin'event we couldn't resist having another look.

Sure enough it we found it this time.

20-Dec-08
Yay!! We found it. After its been about 12 months since we last attempted this one and picked up on the clue after we left we finally found it exactly where we expected to. Nice horns!! Kids loved them.

13-Dec-08
Attempted this one on a weekend away in Brisbane CBD. Spent ages trying to decode our way through this one but didn't manage to come up with the goods. Not too dissapointed as we have attempted "3 steps away from Telstra" in Adelaide and still have not been able to find that one either!
We must be seriously missing something!
Thanks for the hunt.
...Eatmorchikin & Stigglepot

13-Dec-08
We join the legions of DNFs for this one. Attempted it twice today, once during muggle rush-hour so we couldn't do much looking. Then later, after the show we were in Brisbane to see. Still no joy. Next time were in Bris we'll study the logs more carefully as this seems to hold the key.

09-Dec-08
After a night out, I decided to get this on the way home. Lucky my wife decrypted all the clues the night before. Easy find in the end thanks to all her good work. Log book was very wet and added entry on the only dry piece of paper I could find

03-Dec-08
I was expecting to have trouble with this one, but with the help of the clues and the previous logs, we walked straight to it.We could see it, BUT, at 1.00 PM there was no chance of grabbing it so we returned an hour later and my son "digger" quickly made the grab.Logs are quite soggy.Nothing in or out today. Thanks HMFs for a very clever cache.

15-Nov-08
I should have had a go at the Telstra one when I was last in Adelaide. First thought on this one was wrong so had a sit down and it came to me. Muggle free grab but putting it back was a bit harder as some appeared. Clever spot. TFTC.

26-Oct-08
Tried to find this one but had no luck locating it. Need to come back and have another go at this one.

26-Oct-08
Took a while but the hints do lead you to the cache.

Not one to do when there is people around.

12-Oct-08
Second attempt and found it!! Feels sooo good to have this one ticked off, I had a dream where I figured out where it was (although I got the wrong spot in my dream!) It was very easy on second visit - nice clues. Thanks HawMorFords

Found with Kitzorz today

11-Oct-08
Second go at this one, still no luck. Thanks again HawMorFords, I will not be beaten!

11-Oct-08
I had my theories about this one and still have them for next time I'm in Brissy but with The Rats and Big Matt couldn't find this one today.

11-Oct-08
In Brissy for a caching blitz with Steeba and Big Matt. A DNF but happy to log it that way. I love a challenging inner city cache and this is one of those. Worked out what we thought were the right clues but just couldnt find it. Maybe next time.

Didn't get this one. Didn't have our notes and it had been 2 weeks since downloading and the end of a long day waiting for a plane home. Try again next time.

02-Oct-08
Clever clue - glad I didn't drop it.

Thanks

27-Sep-08
Visiting from NZ, was staying just next door in the sofitel hotel so couldn't not go for this.
Very clever hide and good clues, mum figured it out after a bit of muddling and then i spotted it so it was all good.
TFTC

26-Sep-08
... mmm ...
2nd attempt ... I think I know where it is
but no chance in getting anywhere near or close to it today
especially at lunchtime Smile
so it remains on the DNF list
cheers

21-Sep-08
Looked and looked today, spotted a few likely spots but no luck. I'll be back in town in two weeks for a wedding so we'll have another look then.

Thanks anyway HawMorFords.

07-Sep-08
This one took a return visit with reinforcements. Doesn't it pay to read the clues. This was our last find on our Brisbane trip. We hope to return soon. Thanks for the caches HMF

GPS playing up with tall buildings, but clever clues and hide, found by friend and former geo-doubter! TFTC!

26-Aug-08
This is turning into the "Mexican" of the north for us. We were in town for dinner again and thought we'd have another look. Are we missing something in the darkness? Did think of phoning-a-friend but it probably wouldn't have been appreciated at this hour. Might be an excuse for another dinner out!

02-Aug-08
yes it was a very tricky hide! definately need a good set of eyes for this one

02-Aug-08
Great hide, understood the clue, just took a while to locate the cache! Found with Stickerless Lady and Leolandy. Done on a sleepy Saturday, would have been near impossible to collect inconspicuously on a busy work day. TFTC!

02-Aug-08
Our eyes were much better today. This is a very tricky hide. Could not have reached it on my own, thanks to cashless couple and friends for assisting me. TFTC

01-Aug-08
Night time again, last time we failed, this time we got it, great cache, will add it to my favs list.... when I have logged the final caches.

Now we can sleep well Smile

Cheers!

Just like ADV's log says!

01-Aug-08
Found with TheWonderStuff. Spent quite a bit of time looking and thinking about this one and just about to give up when something caught our eye. A-ha, ooh yeah, that's just gotta be worth checking, and there it was.
Very well done hide, and a very satisfying find, loved it.
TFTC

26-Jul-08
Four of us looked and looked but our eyes were not keen enough... Will try again next week.

24-Jul-08
mightybent, dentoz and myself looked but just couldn't find . TFTC.

24-Jul-08
Joint effort with mightybent and Smatty but no luck. After about 15 mins of searching the security guard came out and gave us the evil eye.

24-Jul-08
Smatty, dentoz and I failed on this one. A security guard started taking an interest in us so we left. Nice art work though. Cheers

21-Jul-08
several ways to interpret the clues, thought I nailed it, but still took a while to find, again keen eyes can see this from a distance.

19-Jul-08
took awhile for the penny penny to drop. tftc

09-Jul-08
Had three attempts at this one (without GPSr), one with a muggle friend. We figured out the clue, which could have equally applied to the 'other' side.
This was still a tricky hide (I'm left wondering how the container was actually held there), and I probably only found it because there were few muggles around in the early evening and I had time to scratch around in between buses and the like.
TNLN, TFTC.

21-Jun-08
No one was around today, it looks like Saturday afternoon is the time to tackle this one Smile.

Found very easily, don't know what the fuss is about Wink.

Took the TB, otherwise TNLNSL,

Found with posthaste

21-Jun-08
totalube found this one in a matter of seconds - we're a little baffled as to why everyone finds it so tricky? (sorry, not meaning to rub anyone's nose in it!!) GPS reception was pretty poor, but the description was very good. Maybe doing this on a Saturday is key Smile TFTC

16-Jun-08
Tryed this one yesterday but without success. Today after we had a look in google earth our first impression from yesterday was confirmed and the cache was ours. Good hid, but hard to reach.

In: TB
Out: coin

11-Jun-08
Attempted to grab this one yesterday but couldn't get to it until Gefscofix okayed that it was the right spot. At least we got to meet Mrs. McCallum(Gefscofix) and chatted for awhile while waiting for Gefscofix...who was donating some blood/or was it plasma? Thanks for the helpful hints!

TFTC

11-Jun-08
It took us 3 visits and a hint from Gefscofix to finally find this one! Had the description and clues figured out but just couldn't quite find this little guy. Once found though, I couldn't believe how visible this hide actually was. It was a bit tricky trying to reach it. Sneaky hide in a busy area. TFTC-SL TNLN

03-Jun-08
Robmc and I have done the cache the inspired this one. We think we'd never have done that one without either local knowlege or help as we had in that case. We hoped this one was a little less difficult. Fortunatly it was but still quite a challenge though. Took us a while.
Thanks indeed

03-Jun-08
Forty fifth for the day and cache one hundred and forty-seven on day five of our Brisvegas trip, the cache was found at 2150 in the company of chewinprickles and robmc. I was thankful my caching companions had done the Adelaide cache or i would not of had a clue, I managed to find a green tree frog but he did not spit out a log book so I kept looking and finally I came up with the goods. Thanks Peter for the cache.

03-Jun-08
We have done 3 steps recently, and it was very difficult, luckily we had some local assistance. We found the sculpture, but sat around a bit wondering exactly how far was a bull's roar. Acts2 found a grenn frog which delayed the search a bit, but then we stumbled across it.
Thanks, Robmc.

01-Jun-08
tough one???

29-May-08
Had a crack at this one two nights running but no success

Will look again next time in Brisbane

27-May-08
Dropped off a, micro sized, geocoin.

21-May-08
Quack! This one has taken me a few attempts but finally found it on the way to work this morning. NEEDS A NEW LOG! TFTC =]

17-May-08
Found easily after pondering the clues and observing the area. TFTC

10-May-08
We were out for an evening walk around the city. It was fairly quiet at this time of night so we thought our chances were good. However, it was not to be - and even another look first thing the next morning didn't help. Some thought required before making another attempt.

07-May-08
A return visit today and a closer inspection bore success. TFTC

03-May-08
It took 3 visits, a quick internet visit to the cache page and a discussion with a friend who read Harry Potter to find this one. TNLNSL TFTH

12-Apr-08
Arrived at GZ, searched about and noted the nearby garden bed had recently been mulched. Assumed cache may have been garden muggled, but after reviewing logs, I think I should have taken more time to look about. Will return.

11-Apr-08
If at first you dont find it, try again and after the 3rd time and a week gone by, finally read the clue and other logs. It is a direction thing... Smile and the double jointed rubber arm does help. I walk past this point every day to & from work and it is never free but tonight.. woohoo not a muggle to be seen.

11-Apr-08
Found it, Any who, the contents and all are very wet and had to add a small sheet for me to write on. It will need to be dryed out a wee bit...

Others thing this is easy? After a thorough search I hade to retreat - as plain as that.
