Dino and I picked up our car in Reid and though why not take Hoppy on a walk around this part of town were we get more rarely otherwise. So we covered the larger part of Campbell and found a total of 8 caches. We especially enjoyed the fun climbing caches in the area.
A quick find with this one today. Thanks for the Cache GeeLetcha.

A great and long and hot day of caching in Canberra together with J+J.AU. We have been all over Canberra today to knock off a few suburbs and ger the numbers up for the upcoming mega event. Was gettkng quite hot in tbe afternoon, but that didn't hold us back. Thanks dor putting out all those great caches.

I was visiting here with SmudgeyCat DG and sis. We visited both the Old Parliament House and New Parliament House, and then I saw this cache nearby. There certainly is a lot of Australian History (and Politics!) here. A great place to visit for sure, especially for tourists. Then it was back in the car and off to the next place. TFTH
Needed geohubby to grab this one after being swooped by a magpie. Log in need of replacing - TFTC
First cache ever found. Glad it was an easy one. Got caught by the red herring before I clued on.
Log is in very poor condition. Needs new log.

Good hiding spot, although scary if you are afraid of snakes.

On the way to CIT, and had to stop and do this cache as I have a cache with the same name. Thanks GeeLetcha
I DNF'd this cache quite some time ago, and that is because it was 100% not where it was meant to be. Sounds like the person after me found it on the ground nearby so I may have just thought it was rubbish!
Thanks for the cache tonight, very straightforward and an easy find, the exact spot I assumed it to be last time I was here
Thanks for the cache tonight, very straightforward and an easy find, the exact spot I assumed it to be last time I was here
I arrived early for the Omnia walk up Mt Pleasant, allowing time to find four caches in the Campbell area, then found another two during the walk. All were straightforward finds, on the coordinates. Fortunately I was tall enough for this cache! Thank you GeeLetcha for installing and maintaining this cache.
Sorry foggy. I was going to give up after a cursory search and reading your log but then I looked down at my phone without my glasses and suddenly it came into focus. It was on the ground but I have returned it to its perch...at least where I think it should be. There has been some clearing out of debris since that storm last Friday.
Walking to shop at lunchtime and wanted to show friend what geocaching was - unfortunately nothing to be found
There aren't too many spots this could be, if I take the hint into account and interpret the logs correctly. On "reaching" GZ I found nothing but tree debris. Had a look on the ground in case it had fallen, but again no dice. It's been nearly 2 years since the CO logged on so I wonder if this will be resolved.
I always feel very conspicuous searching for caches like this one - I keep imagining (or not imagining) that the curtains at that house across the road just moved...
Anyways, I conducted an examination of the tree at GZ and generally tried not to look like I was up to mischief, found the cache, signed the log, replaced the cache and beat my retreat!
TFTC, GeeLetcha

Ok, found this one, reached for it, put my green martian sticker on it, but pen died on me. Whatever we tried it didn't work, even though i saw ink. dam, TFTC.
Another quick one, but needed some team work - thank goodness there was two of us! Tftc!!
Needed teamwork for this one. Easier to put back than get out. Found with dty73.

Dropping off daughters seems to be rather routine lately, but gives me an opportunity to collect a cache. A bit of a reach to grab and sign. TFTC
My battery died just before the last cache. So thisond I did only based on what I remembered from the map earlier
Wondering about how shorter cachers can work this out...

Not close to home for me. But not far from work. Nice view will bring the kids and take some pics later
A quick stop on the way home. A nice little park with a lovely night time glimpse of the city lights and the ubiquitous tower. Not close to home for me, as much as I would be content for it to be. TFTC:-)
We found the cache on the ground and put it back where we think it should be.
#1919 Yet another very late FFTD. I really shouldn't leave it so late, but today was a bit full. I rolled up near gz about 11PM and it was pretty dark. I had a fair idea where the cache might be but did not have a torch. So I made a "reach of faith" (to corrupt a well used phrase) and was relieved not to rest my hand on a container and not on something hair or angry.

Not close to my home ... but it was fairly close to the Leap Day event - so I came and found this one on my way there
It wasn't close to where I parked the car either - lol (not too far - just a few streets away - I was using phone GPS and it is not that accurate from inside the car ... noticed that I was not as close as I had thought when I got out, but decided I had plenty of time before the event I was heading to, so I decided to stay parked there and have a nice little walk
I never used to think of myself as short (I am pretty sure 5'4" is about average for females of my generation) and I have fairly long arms (My mum and I are the same height but I can reach 4cm higher than she can but I had to do a leap to grab this cache ... I could see the likely spot, but nothing to stand on - so I stepped back and I could see the top of something ... and I actually surprised myself when I leapt upwards and grabbed and actually got it on the first try! ... must have been because it was LEAP day - lol
my impression of a "slam dunk" returned it nicely to its spot after I signed the log.
TFTC - I enjoyed my walk from the car to the cache and back - was kind of fun walking down a street with Ginko trees as the street trees (I now have a little bowl full of fallen ginko leaves on my shelf at home - lol)

Maybe I was observed by the CO?
Quick park and grab.
GZ was good, but I can see that the vertically challenged of us could have some trouble.
I don't consider myself 'vertically challenged', although I couldn't see it but I could easily reach and feel it.
Quick find, Thanks For The Cache GeeLetcha

Cache had been possumed! It was lying on the ground at GZ. Signed the log then put it where the hint indicated. TFTC.
Not sure about this one..... Had a fair idea where it should be given the hint and coordinates, however I didn't seem to be able to find it today. Oh well ill keep an eye on it
Decided to go for a walk around Campbell and Russell and find a few caches. TFTC.
Quick park, grab and sign. New log in there and the old one is floating around. TFTC.

A quick find before the ANU stargazing event. Lucky Pagan was with me today as I would not have been able to reach. As mentioned by previous finder, the log is unusable. Thanks GeeLetcha
Found it in a very sorry state. Container not waterproof, log has turned to pulp. Needs some TLC. TFTC Max and dad
"Found with Jase90 on our epic weekend adventure in our Nation’s Capital. This expedition was partly inspired by the Geocaching Road Trip ’15 promotion and also because my goal was to reach 1,999 finds so my 2,000th milestone could be the final ever Geocaching Block Party in Seattle in September 2015. Jase90 and I left late on Friday night and, driving down, we made a few stops on the way down so he could find a few of my favourites along the way.
On Saturday morning, we targeted the HMAS power trail and managed to knock off all 90 from the series in less than 7 hours by foot, including Coppins Creek, Bernie's Boulders and Aerial Bold. Afterwards we headed back towards Canberra and we continued caching late into the night (in between breaks in the storms and bad weather). We managed to find the following before calling it quits around 11:00 PM: Gallifrey 2, Geocacher's Lost Lipstick!, Down and Dirty 3, Tourist Tips, Dominion of 2183, Foxy Place, Southwell Surprise, The Thirteenth Man, Sharkiefan's Challenge #3, Gungahleen Schoolhouse, One-Oh-Fore!, Hawkey's 2nd, Grate Expectations, Deep Extra Cover, Wally's Walk, Wally's Way, Harrison and Horsepark, Oblivion, Busy Bees, Heritage Site: ThereFore! A Cache., Liquidambar, Bug on, The Glassworks, and Can you hear the drums… err Bells Fernando.
On Sunday we decided to tackle the Roo geo-art power trail by foot and were able to complete 25 starting from the tail, as well as Weird Scenes Inside the Gold Mine, Kowen Kamp and Reid's Ridge along the way. The terrain was much harder than we expected and the weather was freezing – we could see snow on top of the mountains in the near distance. We had to pick the coldest weekend in recent years to come down to Canberra didn’t we! In the evening we continued our hunt and found the following: The Edward Locomotive, Loch Be a Lady Tonight, carpark of shame, Close To Home, Heart & Soul of Parliament, Fore!midable Contribution, Granite Sphere & Questacon, Peace, Levitation? and Oz Rock - Cold Chisel: 'Cheap Wine'.
On an unplanned, extra day in the Australian Capital Territory, we felt our legs needed a rest and that they had done enough walking over the weekend, so we went for more park and grab type caches. We completed 20 of the JackaKid’s series, Little Miss Hayley, Big Sis Angela, Little Man Tristan, Guard Sei, Guard Quattro, Ingress to Forde, DNF #3, Tiptoe through the Tulips and OldFed 4. On the way home back to Sydney, we stopped found Collecta Cache, Cache-abet….Z and GWM 1914-1918.
Thanks to all of the Cache Owners for the hides and helping Jase90 and I have an amazing visit to Canberra."

Found at 8:25pm with JordsAU.
The Dynamic Duo (JordsAU and Jase90) were on an epic adventure to the Nation's Capital for the weekend. A massive road trip indeed. We had left for Canberra on Friday evening a little later than we anticipated and desired, but escaping the Big Smoke proved to be no problem as we worked our way to our destination.
Once we were on the M5 freeway it was all engines go, myself driving and JordsAU being my handy navigating co-pilot, not to mention the very skilful DJ and great company.
'Close To Home' was our 140th cache of the weekend and our 32nd for the day.
Earlier in the day we tackled the 'Kowen Roo' trail in Kowen Forest. It's fair to say that we bit off more than we could chew with attempting this trail. For one, we didn't realise how mountainous the terrain was until we arrived and figured it out the hard way. We were a little sore from the 35km we had travelled by foot yesterday when we managed to achieve 100+ finds which we laboured all day for.
The weather threatened to make our evening more difficult, especially if the forecast during the week was anything to go off. After a pub meal somewhere in town, we headed out for a handful of caches to increase the numbers for the weekend even further.
We only managed to get through 28 caches in the Roo-series earlier, including a handful of extra's along the way. We decided that at #13 in the series we would shoot across and finish the other side of the Roo's tail rather than continuing up the head and running out of daylight as a result. This turned out to be the perfect plan given that we were back at the car at about 4:30pm which meant we still had lots of energy to cache the night away
We spent more of our time in the CBD tonight as opposed to last night where we were caching on the outskirts, including area's like Mitchell, Harrison and Lyneham. It was good to get some Central caches under the belt given that we spent 3 days here in Canberra.
This was our fourth cache for the evening and it didn't take us long to make the find in the dark urban streets. Sadly the cache needs some maintenance and we were unable to sign the log as it was far too wet and almost complete mush.
Thanks for the cache GeeLetcha

Was it it little bottle with paper inside? We couldn't tell what was on the paper as it was wet. Thanks
Log wet and falling apart. A new log is needed, sorry I did not have one on me today or I would have done the maintenance on the spot
A quick find on the way home to keep my daily streak going. Day #211 in a row for me! Geoman also had a headache, so he stayed in the car while I made the grab. Lucky I am not height challenged! Made my mark on the log (barely) and returned cache to the same position. Thanks GeeLetcha!
# 1355 Popped in this afternoon after work to keep our count going.
The log is very wet and the ink from the pen bled into the paper, but managed to leave our mark.

TFTC. Found cache on ground so I returned it to where I thought it should be. Log saturated and falling apart. Barely wrote name without tearing paper.

Back in Canberra for another weeks work. After dinner I went for a drive and ended up here. Cache quickly found - on the ground. As others have mentioned the log is damp. It is beginning to disintegrate. I managed to add my signature, but I recommend replacing the log. I returned the cache to the spot I assumed it should be. TFTC.

Also unable to log as paper too wet. A good fun find and what a great view
An early morning find on the way to work. Container was on the ground, I put it back where I thought it belonged (based on clue). Cache container needs some TLC especially needs to have old log books removed. TFTC.
A great location, if you are not afraid of snakes! But sadly the log is saturated and had been jammed in without folding. TFTC TNLN SL. Left temporary one page log.
