Given the recent spate of DNF's and having looked for this unsuccessfully on several occasions in the past, I now notice the CO has not logged onto www.geocaching.com for 7.5 years. Therefore, it is unlikely this cache is going to receive the maintenance it obviously requires and should be archived.
Had a quick look but we weren't keen to rummage around In the toi toi with only singlets for protection :/
Third DNF today
To many toi toi to look into and my GPS is a bit wobbly today so gave up pretty quickly

Oh no, toi toi !! The very first stretch of my hand into the bushes resulted in a deep cut, and much blood. So I walked away. If this cache is to continue, please make a specific hint as to which toi toi - it will save much spilt blood.
O Boy!!! what a full on 5 days caching. Driving/Sailing to attend the Christchurch Mega Event with Squirrel Nutcase and also picking up caches on the way to help us complete our Dot Days and Challenges we are currently trying to fulfill. We traveled to so many places that we have never visited before and with 240 plus caches later knew we had an eventful few days.
5.35pm - Great to find this one after a few DNF's. Just needed a bit more effort in search. SLTFTC

With Gap (of Fap and Gap)...
On our way to NZ Mega Christchurch 2015, and caching as we go. We planned to stay close to the main highway and only venture off into the countryside where appropriate... That didn't always work for us. A 4-5 hour journey ended up taking us almost two days; such was the sheer number of caches we encountered along the route.
We are pleased to report that almost all of the caches we stopped for were in place and in good order. Besides a bit of dampness, there was nothing of concern. This is a feat that cache owners in this area of the country can be proud of... We thank you... Thank you for bringing to our attentions areas of significance. We enjoyed discovering scenic areas, historical and social locations, and other personally meaningful spots.
As stated, we found loads of caches... If we were to write an individualised note for each one, we'd never get the logging done. Hence, there will be a lot of cutting and pasting going on... My apologies!!
Marlborough: What a beautiful, park-like setting... We got drawn to an obvious stump, thinking that this was linked to the cache name. We eventually smartened up and headed straight to where our iPhone was showing to be ground zone. After that, the find was immediate. Great to find this after a few DNFs. TFTC.

This one needs a CO check, crazy place for a cache. I've looked for this a few times now. Please move so as not to further damage the toitoi.
Wasn't so much stumped as not that keen to get into the very wet and cutty vegetation. I did a very cursory look along the edge of the plants and probed into a few of the more obvious hollows. Nothing felt. Ground was wet and boggy. Decided there were far more easier pickings out there today and not worth wasting too much time on today. May try again in some future trip south.
Not much fun trying to find this one on a rainy day! We were about to give up when we had a 'break through" and after a bit more rummaging we had the cache in our hands. Tftc!
Found it! Very unpleasant searching but got there eventually - scratches and all!
Too hard, too sharp, too well hidden! Spent a good while searching for it and got nought.
Once I saw the pampas grass I did not bother to look. As I was wearing short sleeves and 3/4 pants, there was no way I was going to tackle this cache! Nice place though. Thanks for the detour!
[green] Not sure why anyone would want to put a cache here in this environment. The area certainly deserves a cache, but not HERE, please! Still I have had worse, in the past being thoroughly cut up by this stuff, not today though. And then , of course, there is the general geocaching rule: Gotta get them all! Good to see a nice sized cache here.
We thought we'd stop and see if we could find this one (and ogle the house). After a quick consult with Professor Google to see what the hint referred to, we went hunting. Sadly none of us were quite dressed for a battle with sharp things and have come away with some scratches and cuts.....and no cache.
We'll have to stop by another time, assuming we find enough protective gear. My husband thinks there is a special place in...well....that hot place....for people who dare to hide things in these bushes. I sort of agree but then I think it weeds out the wimps for the pros, eh?

Attempted on a beautiful and very hot Renwick day. Hunting around in Toi Toi isn't my favourite thing to do. Had a good look but no luck. Beautiful lane though, really glad I got to see it. TFTC.
Whoa..., New Year's Day already. My NY resolution is: start out the way you mean to finish! So, it was bright and early for a start to the day's caching!
Nice straightforward find. Cache in order, log signed; safely re-hidden, just as found.
TFTC found with team cacher Sweet P too

A second attempt on this one after a DNF two years ago. I blame the toi toi. Park ang grab on our Rapaura Road Raid. Thanks for the hide.
A bit of a needle in a haystack we thought. ....but finally found it. Lovely gardens nearby !!
The hunt for our fourth find on this expedition brought us to this little loop of loveliness that Kiwi Friend and I never knew existed. We found this one reasonably easily, despite the indecision of the GPS, an aversion to cutty grass (from many years of orienteering), and the watchful eyes of the neighbours (who we figured would be used to seeing odd behaviour over here). I would have loved to have been able to add a treasure or two to this cache but alas I had not restocked my treasury. TFTC
Had to push through on that one. TB gone but hasn't been logged. Nice spot. TFTC
Found this quickly, GPS was accurate and I didn't need to get a scratch on me. Good possie, thanks very much.
FINALLY GOT IT! We attempted this one a couple of years ago as 'new cachers'. A DNF and lots of cuts and scratches put us off. We were passing today and thought 'why not?'. Just needed more experienced 'caching eyes' - no worries this time! TFTC.
Got an opportunity to relocate a campervan from Christchurch to Auckland. With 5 days up my sleeve what better excuse, than to go find some geocaches along the way. Targeting certain caches along the way to help with the geo licence series in Auckland, so not a full on numbers mission, but managed around 70 finds over the 5 days. Thanks everyone for the placements.
Was a little worried when we parked up and saw all the toi toi. Thought logically and came up trumps, with only getting a couple of small cuts.

After some delicious wines we went to look for this cache and found it easily. The future owner of that house really is a person I'm jealous of

Very nice area, that house here is for sale:-) #1 of the day on bike ride around.
I took one look at the location and very nearly carried on having just done battle with an aki aki bush and had a number of war wounds, the thought of looking around toi toi was a bit off putting. Luckily it was a quick find TFTC

Out with PercivalMastiff and kayemart6 getting some local caches while on holiday from Perth. A nice easy find and we soon had the log signed.

Find #233 for the BAMMJams - an easy find, but I really don't like climbing through those plants with short sleeves!! The mini-BammJams chose a bracelet to take out, and replaced it with a dice. We also took out TB "GeoWoodstock VIII gargoyle3" - will move it on to a new home. TFTC.
Bad memories of these things

Just down the road from our first ever find and this was our second. Took about three minutes. Nice spot and the co-ordinates are bang on for accuracy. TFTC.
Decided to adda decent TB to this cache, a beautiful trout, very appropriate considering the setting
No camera with me tonight so if someone could take a photo of trout at stream would be great

Another after work, before dark caching quest working in a circle of nearby caches.
This one was also my 1200th so a milestone find. Also what a beautiful location, worth a fave point. I've driven past on the main road and never turned off down here

Almost didn't get this one because I thought that it was a bit ridiculous to get to - gave it a go though, and managed to get to the cache with a few cuts. Layers are advised!
Got a good cut from the toi toi retrieving this cache. Bit otherwise a quick park and grab. TFTC
Yeah! Have tried this several times but were never successful. So, before we started we read the previous logs very carefully and again the title of the cache. And suddenly the penny has dropped. We had the cache in our hands after a few minutes. This is now ticked off! Thanks
Nice to finaly get this one. GPS took us to a very different spot than last time and it was in hand in just a few seconds.

Stopped here last night (about 9pm), read the hint and drove away again. I didn't relish the thought of hunting in that when I needed to get to the ferry by 9.30 to drop my daughter off for her summer adventures. Stopped here again on my way back to Nelson, with no time pressure and determination to find. Armed myself with a stick and poked here and there for about 5 minutes before I heard the welcome sound of plastic. Very pleased to find it so quickly given the 'terrain' - it could have been a lot worse. TFTC.

Found this neat cache during the 2012 Mega Event. Apologize to the CO for the late log but issue's have had us put some things on hold for a while.
Many Thanks for the neat cache.

On our annual caching holiday with Skullracing touring around before going to the NZ Mega.
We've just visited the chocolate factory so we sent Skulldaddy out to search while the rest of us looked on from the Britz getting our choc fix. He was taking some time so the Queen and geoP went out to lend a hand.
Well the Queen found the cache very quickly, we signed the log and left.
Took nothing
Left a pint of skulldaddy's blood

#3251 Nah, didn't stump us . We intend to camp at Bernheim for the night so after making our reservation it was off to one of the regions attractions.....the chocolate factory! Once we'd emptied our wallets & filled our bellies it was off to tour the area a little more when we came upon this cache at a gem of a location. Dad was initially deployed but a caching injury was incurred following some cache seeking activities. The well hidden cache was found soon after with no further injuries were sustained . Our thanks to the Whirly Gigs, we spent some time admiring the canal and flora [^]
Stopped just before sunset and only managed to slice my thumb on the toi tois. Gave up after that and drove away sucking my thumb.
Easy find though there was a sigh when we saw all those toi tois. Great stream, it was so clear. A favourite from us.
Out today to do the "30 in a day" component of MGSc we decided to do a round trip from Nelson through Spring Creek, and up the Wairau Valley and back home. This was 21/44 we found, bypassing a few where we intend to return. We managed to dodge the worst of the weather and easily achieved our aim. TFTC
Today a run with Holymu was planned to achieve the '30 finds on a day' challenge for the MGSc. Although just one day we enjoyed all four seasons weatherwise. Total tally 44 and a new personal best. No dificulty finding the caches and signing as the day proved almost muggle-free. TFTC
Nice cache, will mark as a fav. For the overseas visitors best to reverse yourself into the GZ as this stuff bites! Which in turn protects it from muggles so a great position. House over the creek is for sale.. where did I put my lotto ticket??? TFTC Blenheim Bear
A quick u-turn as the kids were keen to search for another one, quick grab by the boys then off again. TFTC
The others in the party wanted to check out the chocolate factory near by, while they were there I headed to GZ to find the cache.
On arrival I was a bit concerned that it would take a while to come up with the goods given the number of possibilities but got the cache pretty quickly.

What a beautiful place!! Nearly got muggled here. Very well hidden cache, was glad to find it. Got some cool photos here too!! Thanks
Ooooo. The mention of toi toi had me a little cautious about this one, but fortunately the GPS led me straight to the cache so not too much damage was done. An interesting road. Actually saw more trees than stumps, so wonder where the name came from. TFTC
TFTC. Well this is a beautiful part of the region. The golden balls of the quince tree were shining out at me from across the river as I signed the cache.
In Blenheim to run a function. Had about 40 minutes spare so went looking for a couple of caches. When I was younger toi toi was known as "cutty grass", so i was pretty wary when I saw a whole row of it. Found though. What a lovely oasis in the middle of the plain this loop road is. Thanks for bringing me round this loop.
