Cool spot. Lovely park

26-Apr-24
Some very interesting tree guards near the best parking for this one.Mr Beetle checked them out while I wandered over to GZ to deal with the cache. As I lifted it from its hiding place the lid came off and the contents went everywhere, some deep down into the root base. After gathering everything up I then had to decide which of the multiple log sheets to sign. Chose the tan sheets as they seemed the driest. This one could do with a little TLC.Thanks 2Dudez.

TFTC Found with Missy1803. Signed the older log book, which is pretty full. The container lid doesn't seal well, but otherwise all is good here.

09-Jan-24
Once the GPS stopped bouncing me around three different places the find was quite easy. Cache was dry inside despite the recent rain. You will need your own pen as there is just a pen top in the cache. Bozo didn't bring one so took a pic to show I found it.

04-Jan-24
Found on my way back from Ballarat. A quick walk and the cache was soon in hand. The container itself does not have a great seal on it and has become cracked. This one might start to get a bit wet without attention. TFTC

11-Sep-23
A whole four day trip with Aquilus1 to do the GeoTour in Ballarat some caching around Geelong and anything else that looked good on the way.
Weather was ok albeit a bit on the wet side for the first two days. Now on day 3 the weather is bice and sunny and we are pressing on with the last few Geotour caches on the way out and driving towards Queenscliff.
This cache was one of the ones we had the oportunity to do.
A nice cache here! Nice and old and in the bush!

Thank you 2Dudez for the nice cache and experience you gave us!

11-Sep-23
This cache was one found on a trip away with Flintstone's for 4 days. We had the Geotour in Ballarat as our target, and made our way as far as Queenscliff.

Ballarat caching was a joy, and with the tour, we saw many lovely and interesting locations as well as stopping for many other caches as we passed. Lots of little walks helped with the colder first few days as well as being quite scenic.

A change of weather and scenery towards Queenscliff but the coast was a great place to visit with plenty to do and see. As always, more to do than there was time for, will just have to return one day! Thank you for your cache!

Targeted this as older but fitted in well with what was needed.

06-Aug-23
While passing through Meredith, I decided to check out this spot. Like a possum, I searched around and quickly uncovered the cache. The container seemed to be becoming a bit brittle, but everything inside was intact. I signed my name in the log and carefully put the cache back in its hiding spot. Thanks for the cache!

We were heading up the road to Ballarat to visit a client, our accountant and Mr Dromaniax's parents.

We can't say we are big fans of the road between Geelong and Ballarat. We would love it to be a dual carriageway the whole way, but going on past performance, if they started the works today, it wouldn't be finished before 2030

It is nice to break up the drive with a cache and this one in Meredith was a good one to break the drive with today.

A quick find was made, and the cache is in great condition.

Thank you for this cache 2Dudez

Whittlesea Mega Wobble and Wade Tour: Day 12: Start to head home. Surprised

Once again myself and Anymules were in Victoria on our way home from a Mega event. Wink We made a detour via Geelong to drop off Bushfire yesterday. That done today we headed to Ballarat where we still had two more Geotour caches to find. [^] Again we spent the day juggling phone and GPS to do many Labs caches and any other caches we were passing with our next overnight digs in St. Arnaud. Big Grin Many caches were found and unless something stood out these will be generic logs. Cool

We waded our way out to GZ for a quick find. Smile So much water still lying everywhere. Twisted

***Thanks 2Dudez for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. *** Big Grin
Logs prepared and published through GSAK.

I headed down to Geelong early yesterday for the 2 events that were on in the area and after staying at Bunjil’s lookout at Maude last night it was then off to the 2 events near Ballarat today.
I left nice and early as I planned on finding a few caches before needing to be in Smythesdale by 9.30am for the first event.
I have not been along here before so it is nice travelling on roads and in areas that are new to me.
I reached Meredith and if I can remember they used to have a music festival here.
Time for a stop to stretch the legs (not that I have driven to far).
Located the park and there were a couple of caravans that looked like the stayed the night.
Off for a walk through the wet grass and soon located this one.

Thanks 2Dudez TFTC.

After a few emails and calls we managed to get a team together for some caching fun on this warm Saturday.
Had a great day putting some smiles on the map and exploring an area I don't get to much with The Empire, Rebel Acts and Snap Happy.

One day in frozen UK,
We drove to the drop off bay.
Took off high and came down in Australia.
With not much to bring
Bar a satisfied grin,
Less than 800 caches to my name
Then along came a virus
Which sat down beside us
And cancelled my home going plane.
We stuck to the rules
Stayed mostly indoors
But gradually sanity left us.
So with no real plans
But sanitized hands
We set off for a wood full of caches.
Of 1000 I never
Dreamed I would ever
Catch on this trip to down under
But I've stayed here so long
That it wouldn't be wrong
To think I could hit this great number.

How does a stranded pommie know what a possum thinks like... worked it out anyway! Added a TB and a trade mark gummy bear.

My homeward flight has just been cancelled for a 10th time. Getting a bit annoying!
