Great cache! If I was any older I might had to enlist the aide of a fellow cacher to locate it. lol Thanks for placing a unique cache in a great spot. I was on a solo trip so only got a picture if the plaque. Well done johnislost.
This was day three of a three-day cache run with Cache O'Plenty. Today we started in Amboy, moving east and then south along Cadiz Rd, finishing up along the 62 and the 177. Many of today's caches were in the CCX4 series. Today, we were able to top off our gas tank in Amboy. We two had no trouble locating these caches while just using a single vehicle to move from cache to cache. Steve, even though he'd already found them, let me grab a few of the caches along route 66 that I had missed two years ago. This was one of those. Stamped log. Thanks, johnislost, for placing this cache.
”Out caching with Whimppeys and finishing up the RT 66 series we started a year or so ago. Had a blast doing this power trail and enjoyed all the history of this area.”
We had a great time finishing the Route 66 Trail with Barb N Gene. It was Mr. Whimppey's Birthday weekend.
Holiday power cache run! We came here exactly a year ago to start the series, today we finished! Thanks to all that placed and maintain this series. All quick grabs even when we got punchy near the end!
We enjoyed the first half of this run on our way to Yuma so decided to return on our trip to Portland and spend a few days adding to our finds. We will be back to finish next winter. Thanks!!
I had wanted to finish this Series for sometime. After a discussion with some fellow cachers we formed a group of three ; Cache O' Plenty, Larry The Pool Guy, and Pars18. Cache O' Plenty put together a plan that would complete the Route 66 Series for both Larry the pool guy and Pars18, but he would still have to return another day in the future to finish it. We ended up getting all the numbered caches plus some extra ones that were added or had originally been there . This was one of the extra caches we logged during our 66 run. Thanks to johnislost for adding to our fun today. We really had a great time thanks to Larry (Larry The Pool Guy) and Steve (Cache O' Plenty) for joining our team.
Pars18, Larry the pool guy and I headed out to the Route 66 series today for a full day of power trail caching. Since pars18 and Larry the pool guy had already completed the first half, we started at #381 and headed east. That allowed both of them to complete the series. I, on the other hand, will have to return to complete the first half. We also augmented our run to include all of the Non-Route 66 caches along the way. Made for quite a long day and a new one-day record for me. As we proceeded, we repaired any that needed some TLC and replaced some broken ones. Now I need to resupply my stash of containers!
Had a great day and perfect weather. Thanks to Team Stevecat and the other COs for all their work in setting up this run. Got a great history lesson along the way.
Also was amused to note that the number of trains we saw greatly outnumberd the vehicles on the road. Trans = 7, vehicles = 3 for the first three hours.
This was just one of the many caches found by us today. TFTC-SL

My day started out at 4:00 am when I first got in the pool truck to drive up to the meeting spot at McDonalds near the Lake Silverwood Exit. Sitting in their cars ready to go was Pars 18 and CacheOPlenty. At 6:30 am our group starting finding hides and stamping logs this pattern continued till 5:30 pm. The desert was kind to our group today with little wind and cool temperatures. Thanks to all that placed caches for me to find. I now have a new one day record !
We found this along with the other Route 66 series. Thanks for the cache. I liked this one a lot and will give it a Fav. Nice hide.

Found on a Geocaching adventure from the UK with j4pos & Quiddle. TFTC Snake Plissken
Had a great trip traveling this part of Route 66. Nice hide. I walked right past it, but Mrs. SWiggles was much more perceptive. Thanks for the fun!
On holidays from Australia we had planned on doing a spot of caching whilst in and around Barstow and Las Vegas. One of our goals was to complete the Route 66 series. Early start, late finish was in order and after a long 15+ hours, we completed the series and some extra's along the way. Wow what an experience that was! FurfacesLL No 2 sprained her ankle on the Yermo series, and FurfacesLL No 1 was down with a cold, So we were very pleased with ourselves. A days' rest then off to tackle the ET Highway! Thanks to the cache owners for all the work in maintaining these caches.
TFTC too!
TFTC too!
Found in the company of Earthbound Chief, aka Dad on our 'Boys Own Adventure' after I spent the summer working in Michigan and before going home to Australia. A drive along the Route 66 was a must! TFTC
Getting our caching kicks on Route 66 with micaparamedic, Ozibgs and EB Contax
Thanks for the caching fun
Thanks for the caching fun
Thanks for all the hard work and time it took to place all these caches. Ultrahide and I went on a 10 day epic camping adventure through NM, AZ, CA, NV, UT and back to CO. We ended up with 1,744 caches including 32 virtuals, 6 WIGs and 5 events after 3,080 miles. We had a great time finding these caches. We signed the log as Team NOCO and a TB number. I wish I had the time to log a personal log on each cache like normal but there are way too many to remember the details now. Thanks for the cache. Happy Trails.
Found with emzernask while getting our kicks on. Stamped the log as Crazy Canucks.

Hmm interesting story.
After many months waiting we are finally here, we where fortunately enough to meet the cache owners at an event, but even more fortunate to have mild weather.
We completed the series plus a few side caches in about two days and loved it

This was our second day out on the run and had a great time. Nice to stop and take some time to read about the history, and find another cache too. Thanks for placing this.
Found this cache while working on the Route 66 run. Found 608 caches yesterday and today! Thanks for placing this one! SL! This historic Route 66 has always held a special place for us. We first traveled it when we drove from NC to Needles in 1959.
