Attacked this cache in the typical Rat fashion. A bullet-a-gate. Parked within 300m, then got within 29m and couldn't go any further. What the heck lets just wade across. So with sox, boots and GPS high in hand, in I go. Holy shit that water is deep!!!!! As I emerged on the other side the tide mark on my clothes was at chest height. Swapped a tooth brush for a paint brush and then it was back across the moat... I wish I had the camera with me - no, it probably would have got wet... Thanks Ideology

We've updated the co-ordinates based on the last few cachers' logs. Thanks for letting us know. The original coordinates taken with our old GPS on 1/1/1 were S 33° 47.417 E 151° 12.783.
Had a day off work so decided to give this cache another go. Unable to find anyone to go with me this time so did it solo, wasn't sure how I would go as the other cache finds were helped by the other people that I took with me.
I drove to what I think is the closest entry point and started walking. It was at this point that I discovered one of the reasons that bringing other people along is a good idea. I have a tendancy to blindly follow the GPS directly to the coordinates regardless of the intervening terrain left to my own devices this is pretty much what I did. There were a couple of time that I decided that the drops were a little steep to attempt but other than that made a beeline for the cache.
True to form I found my way blocked by a body of water, luckly I was here at a lower tide than last time so the crossing did not result in parts of my anatomy that I prefer to stay dry getting dipped in freezing water. Once I crossed the water the cache was easier to find than I had expected, from my previous attempt (that time I was on the wrong side of the river).
Took the Tigger rattle for my housemate Nicci as she wasn't able to come along this time and loves Tigger (she is 25!). Left a soccer yoyo for all you soccer lovers out there.
Have to agree with the other post about the coordinates the new ones were much closer to the mark for me.

Almost a year ago we made several attempts to find the Nest, only to reach the conclusion that some caches were just to hard for us. But like Rock Hopper and Illawong, what a difference a few metres can make!!!
Remembering from past visits, we studied the tides and tried a new approach, and found almost immediately!!
Took Freddos, and left Tigger.
Make sure you take your bins, as there's some great bird life in the area (we saw a couple of Azure Kingfishers near the mangroves).
Gratitude to Ideology

Last time I tried this one there were enough spiders to turn anyone into an arachnophobic. Those that did Leafy when it first was placed will know what I mean. This time there were no spiders but did come across a couple of snakes. Tally from the trip: two startled snakes and one startled Bear.
Managed to end up on the correct side of the creek for once (more by luck than anything else), but for a while I though I'd gotten it wrong again. GPSr was reading 30 metres away from the cache, but remembering that Leek and Swampgecko had said the same thing, I hunted around where I was. Looked up in the trees and saw a nest so I figured I was close. Found it without too much trouble after that.
Swapped R2D2 (robots don't like swamps) for a relaxation CD (you'll need it after this).
When I got home I checked the co-ordinates that I'd taken with those that Leek had taken and I found mine were spot on with his -- only 0.001 out.

Thanks Leek for the invite to help you search for the Nest.
My GPS'r had me going around in circles yet again.
After an hour's searching and ignoring where my instincts were saying go look I finally succumbed and crossed to the other side. Leek was still making crop circles, when the cry went up.
Nice spot
Removed a sweating lolly. Put in R2D2 and a candle, took water and Bendigo Hatpin

We checked the cache this afternoon. It is in perfect condition and waiting to baffle the next geocacher. Thank you for choosing Ideology.
The third and last cache of the day for Rex and Jo.
At this stage we were two found from two attempted so were felling pretty good about ourselves.
After our experience earlier in the day at Wilson we stuck to the trails a lot more when approaching this cache. We found ourselves on the wrong side of the river, this is getting to be a habit! With light rapidly running out and a storm closing in it was decided that wading across the river was neccessary. Jo being sensibly dressed in Jeans with shoes decided that Rex was better suited to the crossing as he was wearing shorts and thongs. So across the river I went needless to say the water was colder and deeper than I was prepared for and parts of my anatomy went into the freezing water causing great discomfort.
Once across the river the search began. After much walking in circles in the rapidly failing light the search was called off before the storm that was threatening made us colder and wetter.
As I left the area that I had been searching the GPS suddenly pointed 20 metres in a completely different direction. Upon following the GPS in the new direction it suddenly decided that maybe the origial area was correct. Is it possible the Ideology have some sort of jamming device in this cache?
So I left the area vowing to return another time when we have more time to search for the cache.
I will find it

Completly failed to get anywhere near this cache. Found the trail easily, but it lead to a creek that was way too wide and deep to cross (I assume you don't need a boat to get to it!). Bashed through the bush following the creek for a while before deciding:
[*]I had no idea if I was even on the right side of the creek and it didn't look like I'd be able to cross it.
[*]I was too hot and tired.
[*]I was probably doing too much damage to the place.
[*]I was definately destroying too many spider webs (I think a few of the spiders have taken up residence in my hat) and some of these spiders looked

Tried it quickly from the other side but ended up in the same place.
From the street directory, the place looks like it might be tidal. Or maybe it's because we've had the wetest February in 10 years. Maybe I just gave up too easily. Anyway, I'll go back when it drier, and at low tide (just in case), and try again.
At last....At last.
Finaly found the Nest. I was turning the horrible place upside down for ages when I noticed that the rather convenient demise of a tree was suppying a new option, so used it just as a long shot. There it was LARGER than life and chock full of goodies. First item out of the cache was...well I kind of wondered about those Ideology guys,,,,,seems they have a fetish for more than just there Ideogear.
Swapped a couple of items for a couple of items and flew the coop.
Nice one Ideology.....BTW who's is it. No way it would fit SNIFTER

After doing a recce the night before, we thought we had this one beat. Took us 5 minutes to walk to the location, should've be easy to find. An hour later, still no luck. We did find some potential nesting, but not the right one.
Had good GPS lock, but no evidence of cache.
Bummer

What do you mean small blue container. Looks like a bucket to me. Ahrr...we also found ourselves on the wrong side of the creek. Swapped some sweets for others (baby bushrats, you know).
Nice afternoon though for a nice little stroll. Low tide too helped.
Bushpushers may have been surprised at the rubbish, but the creek near Ecoteam Challenge #1 is ten time as bad. Keep in mind that this can change after a good flood.

Was high tide, however we got through. Replaced the snake with an item of intimate apparel belonging to Ideaology.
What a garbage dump! I've never seen so much junk in the bush. I'm just flabbergasted! A nice walk notheless until you reach the river/creek and then it's a romp through the abbysmal muck to the cache. I was even able to find it without the assistance of the bushpushette who's off in sunny warm Queensland. Took the water pistol and the coins, placed a can of Dick Smith Tomato Soup and Dick Smith Helicopter Jelly. It's interesting that no one has found it by accident, while I was there it was passed by 8 people it seems there is a track that goes off somewhere.

Found the cache without too much problem this time. An earlier attempt was foiled by the moons gravitation. Swapped Tam-Tams for some coins originally intended for a Micro-Cash-Cashed that we were unsuccessful with.
Unfortunately we have to report another failure in this instance. We attempted to locate Nest on Tuesday the 26th in the afternoon. We walked the length of Scott Creek on both sides but were unable to determine on which side the cache was located, nor to find a way down to the creek. It wasn’t till late in the afternoon that we finally got down to the creek, only to find that the cache was on the other side and not enough light to continue. Perhaps another day. We Picked a scary cache to do at twilight. Fourth for today. The flouresent glow of the creek guided us to our goal. after spotting several Other nests, figured one of us was not in the right place earlier!. we finaly tracked down the right one. We Quickly logged and swapped items, for fear of the boogey men that might rise from the swamp. Lots of discarded tennis balls, maybe the swamp creatures enjoy the odd spot of tennis.

didnt find it again, 2nd attempt, no cache, found the tree with the nest, but thats all.
we need the smell of artificial bananas to guide us. ( ala diggers camp). Oh well next time i guess.
GeoPiggies satellite navigation device told us that this cache was quite close to the GeoMonkeys cache we had just found, so we set off in search of our second holy grail of the day. With this cache we bit off a lot, but not more than we could chew. Piggies are good at eating and chewing. Our navigation device guided us along dark and wet trails, and we found the nest quite readily. BaBa (one of the GeoPiggies) was heard to say It was that easy?, only to realise that no, it is not that easy... Even GeoPiggies sensitive noses were initially stumped, but persistance paid off. We found the cache, and what a wonderfull cache it is! Our navigation device had trouble in the dense tree cover. The cache is safe and dry inside, we left some batteries (in case someone's navigator becomes tired!) and some chewy things. We took some unsolicited bulk mail
This cache may be called Nest, but warm and cosy it is not. I spent over an hour looking high and low to no avail. The area has had recent flash flooding and dry spots were hard to find. Lots of rubbish in amongst the broken trees, and a smelly dead animal perfuming the search area made the going tough. So with all my trampling I left the place looking even worse than it did when I arrived. I will be back hopefully when conditions are are little drier.
Found it on our second attempt. Getting an accurate fix in the valley in tree cover is tricky.

Found cache fairly easily once we got down the rock cliff. Ali wasnt impressed by the rubber snake but we enjoyed the Freddo's. Co-ords were spot on and clues easy to work out once your there. Good one ideology ! Got the hat now thanks.
