Found with Jaaake after the Chili Feed Event in town. Nice hide. Thanks for the cache. It was getting dark so I don't think Wild Bill could see us.

Well, This is the Trip that we Knew was coming, but would not be a "Fun" one or "Vacation" or "GeoTrip". Reason was Rather simple. My grandmother passed away. Sunday was the day we HAD to be there, and Flying was not an option.
Picked up the rental(One we'd used on another geo-trip) LATE on the 19th and started our trip. Passed into NE at 0245 on 10/20/12, and started grabbing caches to finish Lizard_Smes I-80 portion of NE Delorme Challenge. I had already done most all the pages on a previous solo trip a few years ago. The OTHER Good thing is that it Definitely kept us awake and alert at the Late and EARLY times.
We Pulled into North Platte, NE at 0730, and slept at the Oak Tree Inn for a few hours(They DO accept "Short Stays" of 8-12 hours). Got back up at 1200 and on the road at 1245 after 'breakfast' at the Penny's Diner(Us RRers are used to it.)
Pulled across the NE/IA State line at 1645, and grabbed ONE cache in Hamburg, IA. I don't THINK we had a cache in this DeLorme Square either, and it was the ONLY cache that would qualify.
Another Border crossing of IA/MO at 1710 landed us into Missouri for the short trip. Strangely, with as "Geo-obsessed" as many people have said to us over the years, we DIDN'T even get a single cache in Missouri...
Left Missouri on the 23rd LATE in the evening and took a Slightly different route Back. Did the US 136 Bridge crossing border of MO/NE at 2125 and grabbed 4 caches before Sleeping Soundly in Lincoln for the night. In the morning, I glanced at the weather and BLIZZARD! Yeah?!?!? Thought of changing routes, but the "Best route" was Still I-80 and Hoping that it would stay open for us to pass thru.
MANY(At Least 20) Jackknifed Simi Truck trailers littered I-80 from Kimball,NE to Walcott, WY. Luckily we stayed SLOW and on the road in control of ourselves. We followed a slow moving simi that had chained up and was basically making a weaving path thru the disabled rigs. At one point, I looked down at the speedometer and thought 8 MPH felt TOO FAST in these conditions. Yeah. It was bad.
We Pulled into our driveway at 2355 on the 24th. This was just 5 Minutes before I "Marked back up" ont he board and could be called to work. Bed called my name and I answered.

US12. A pretty huge looking stadium all out on the edge of town. Thanks
