One last find for this geocache!
Sometimes I go out to find archived caches that may have not been removed before archive.
Today I set my sights on this one.
A three part multi, one stage was fixed, but the other two had objects to remove.
There was even a TB in the final to rescue!
I am collecting the container so that it’s doesn’t become “geo-rubbish”!
Sorry to read about the CO passing. Was a nice spot for a cache. Hopefully someone else places one here in the future!
This place is worth a geocache! I mean it’s one of Auckland’s many volcanic hills, it should have as many caches as possible!!
Thanks!

2nd time trying this one as it started hiding down the first time. Love the views from up here. I had to widen my search for the final but had cache in hand in no time. TFTC
Arrived at the bottom to climb Mt Albert. Started in a clockwise direction and were soon at the first waypoint. Retrieved what was required and then set off for the final continuing around in the same direction. Soon arrived at GZ and had to try a few places before finally coming up with the good. Signed and returned. TFTC
Nice easy multi though like other cachers have noted the final coordinates are a little bit off. Very sneaky final that Aquinos' sharp eyes spotted. TFTC!
1/50 Awesome cache! Final coords are slightly off but cache is in good condition, TFTC!
Came for a wander around just as it was starting to get dark, but a very pleasant evening to be exploring around this area. Quickly figured out the second WP, and found the info I needed before proceeding to the final. Had a quick read of the logs in the fading light, before widening my search with my small torch, and making a quick find a short distance away. Cache all good here, cheers
A nice day today to take a stroll around this hill and do the cache. All good until the last part but read the past logs regarding inaccurate cords so expanded my search. Finally found it about 5m away from GZ after looking in numerous spots matching the hint. Tftc
Just the one cache this morning but I picked a good one to do, and Albert the geohound agreed. We got to walk around where arrows fly (fortunately not in my direction), actually saw them in action on our rambling route. Found what I needed at WP1 nice and easy and had a view on what I would be looking for at WP2. Wasn't quite what I expected but close enough to be a quick find.
Off to the final location, and could see a few choices. I used the final coordinates as a rough guideline only and that did the trick, one by one eliminated possibilities and found the hide in a few minutes. Cache in pristine condition, super dry, just a couple of pieces of swag and I'm starting to feel guilty about not carrying any swag so I'll get on to painting some up this arvo.
It was a warm summer day today, very nice and a good walk - I have a Puffing Billy in the corner so Albert enjoyed it too judging by the panting. Good for a favourite point from Albert and me thanks.

Got to waypoint 1 and got the necessary data. Got to waypoint 2 and Mrs Jag50 was clearly looking for something else. MrJag50 had his eyes about him and detected the evidence. Armed with the extra info we set about locating the cache. After a quick search at the coordinates we decided to widen the search and promptly found the cache. Thankfully we did not have to spend so long as others as we were by now being rained upon.
Spent nearly 2 hours searching out this one this morning - it was a tough hunt. First wp was easy enough, but I took too much info and it set us on the wrong track. Luckily there was a tree swing nearby that kept the kids occupied while I tried to set us right. Eventually found the correct spot for wp2 and got the co ords for the final. Saw it was close by but reading previous logs that mentioned co ords were off, we started searching likely spots to no avail. The lawnmower man was here today and I wasn't really sure if we were on the public access side of the fence but he didn't tell us off so we continued the hunt as he went back and forth. Felt we had searched everywhere but decided to go in for one more methodical search and hurrah we had it!
Would be nice to see the co ords for the final refined so it's more accurate or a more helpful hint as there is a lot of the hint here. We did enjoy our morning here though - there were lots of youngsters (and young at hearters) out pokemon hunting here today. Met hoarders of dogs here too as it is off leash so they have a ball. TFTC, great to have another multi under our belts.

I'd decided my morning walk was going to be here, so of course I have to pick up this multi along the way. WP1 was no problem, then I got very wet from the long grass after the recent rain getting to WP2. Mmm, ok, what am I looking for? I read the hint and soon found something that gave me the final co-ords. It took quite a bit of searching at the final but I eventually got there after I widened my search area. No TB's in cache, though 3 are logged as in there. Tftc.
#1948. I have been up in Auckland for two days gathering up some caches. Today is Leap Day 2016 and decided to pick up a variety of caches as wont get a chance again to cache on 29 Feb until 2020. I started this multi then swapped over to the earthcache. Then back onto the multi again. Managed to locate the needed waypoints and necessary information. The final proved a bit tricky. My coordinates had me at one location which I spent a good 5-10 minutes searching without success. Then widened the search area and finally located the cache. Signed the logbook and retrieved two trackables. Good to get this multi completed. Thanks for setting it up and giving me the chance to wander around Owairaka.
Found the WP2 at second attempt. Final should be nearby (but couldn't find). Coords of the final place pointed at the bush. Is that the right place?
I could not find name for last coordinates. I was standing in the middle of closed off grass area. But there was no name. Hint maybe???
Out with Bay7 to tackle this multi today, it was so hot so was kinda glad the walk up and down the mountain wasn't had. Stumbled across the start by fluke then everything else played out ok. TB drop, Tftc
Quick & easy Multi here today. Like Gorby we got stuck on first name? or full name? did both & came up with WP2, then grabbed the final. Didn't get the big walk I was expecting around the Mountain today with Flax4 but maybe that was just as well as it was very hot ! TFTC
#431 Decided to walk GeoDog here today and finally do this Multi. Previous attempts I was with the GeoKids and they didn't have the patience to do this one. Followed the instructions through and as KiwiScott had been through a couple of days before, I could see his tracks. Well made my job a little easier on the final locations. Anyway thanks for the Cache, GeoDog and I had a great time.
We had already done a circle of the mountain (albeit mainly in the car) when we checked for nearby caches and found this multi. No worries and around we go again. Kiwiscot had fun playing on the tyre swing opposite WP 1. Lovely place to visit on a sunny day. Final took a bit of searching but we got there in the end. TFTMulti.
Had some difficulty finding WP2 and spent quite a bit of time looking along the fenceline. Expect we looked a bit strange to the muggles that were walking along the road above us. Finally found the information needed for the final as we were just giving up.

Out today with Nebulenz and Hughie_ for Earth cache day and decided to pick up a couple other caches in the area. Nearly gave up on way point 2, gps had us way off. Finding the final cache was made a bit more difficult as the near by field was fenced off for maintenance, but easily spot once we reached GZ. Tftc
Finally finished this one! Gave up for a long while after not finding WP2 then realised it was missing. Eventually went back and located WP2 once it was replaced but haven't had a chance til today to find the final. Beautiful day today so lots of muggles around but located it in a walker-free gap! No pen so haven't signed the log, just tried to mark a K in the notebook with the horn of one of the dinosaurs in the cache!
Had a lovely walk around the mountain with this cache today while we were getting the nearby earth cache for the road trip challenge. Had a few issues with WP2, almost gave up in disgust but Meg spotted something nearby out of place and what do you know there it was! Soon had the final in our sights and the log signed. Added some swag for future cachers. No TB in cache. TFTC!
Whew well what a saga this multi has been. Just over four years since my first visit I can finally put this one to bed. I had another go at this one a few weeks ago but like I did 4 years ago I came unstuck at WP1. CO helpfully confirmed that all was well and (I think) also added a very helpful hint. Today I was back in the area with a bit of time to spare so had another look at WP2. This time I found 2 objects of interest at WP2 - 1 of them had some slightly misleading information on it but the other one was much more helpful. With the final coordinates loaded I was off to GZ for a fairly quick find once I got there. TFTC, Biggles.
Happy to finally put up a smile after my 4th visit here. Geodogs are happy to do many more.....
Turns out I was loooking 18mtres away from waypoint 2 but found it easily after an added hint from helpful c.o. tftc

Check out cache to-day. W/P 2 and cache still in place. Will adjust additional hints which may help.
No luck finding waypoint 2. Flattened a fair bit of grass and picked up a few rocks?
After lots of searching for WP2 over the summer when it was missing I was stoked to see that it had been replaced! It was a few weeks after Voshed and Lokky found it I went to try and finish this multi. Have made 3 trips now but still can't locate WP2!! I have a very good idea what I'm looking for but no luck. Can the CO please confirm that WP2 hasn't gone walkabout again?! Thanks so much.
good to see this up n running again, wp 2 found easily this time as was the final all back in its cave, TFTC
Managed to get to WP2 a while ago then search stopped as coordinates and clue didn't match and make sense. Had a little more information come to light recently so had another go last night with lokky but still nothing. Thought was, that what we were looking for at WP2 had gone.
Might need checking
Cheers V.

had a go at this one and was given direct info of WP2 which confirmed what I thought was needed howerer 2 of us went there today and hunted WP 2 to no avail we knew what we were looking for and approx location but seeing as it has not been found for a wile would suggest the WP 2 info has disappeared, would be great if the CO could check this out, thanks
Nice little hunt. Logbook was a little soggy. His container better than I found it. Thanks!
A few muggles and their companions out today. Got 1st bit easy peasy, but WP2 eluded me today. I will try again soon though!
Left work today earlier to compensate for the late work hours this week to collect two geocaches close to my work. All stages are straight forward and easy to find. Found the treasure just before the darkness rolled in. TFTC
Initially I really didn't like this multi, I have to be honest. WP2 bothered me heaps, [?] I couldn't be sure if 'gentleman's name' was just his first name or both first name and surname (it was both BTW as was my first guess), but because I couldn't see anything obvious at WP2, I assumed falsely that it might have been just his first name (WRONG!) so back to where I was and with some more thought, I dug deeper and hello! I had my final co-ords for the cache, my eyes lit up, big smile on face, and of I trotted to the cave. So now I gotta give ya a big fat favourite from me!

Loved the solve of this cache, it took two visits, but eventually the cache was found. Great views and another reason to come and visit. Thanks again for the hide.

Thanks for the assist, returned today knowing calculations are correct. The cache had its lid off to the side, suprisingly only a small amount of water inside and the log damp. Dried contents, and attempted to dry log in sun/wind. Its still damp, but the cache was sealed, and returned to its secret place. Another beautiful day in Mt Albert, views were amazing. Thanks for the hide and the adventure.
WP2 was well hidden, we were on the verge of giving up and then spotted it. TFTC
I wanted to find a cool cache that would help match a minor milestone. After some DNF's with some puzzle caches, this one was one of the closest multi's to home that I hadn't yet found. Also knowing that I really enjoy visiting the volcanoes in Auckland, this one certainly fitted the criteria.
The walk around Mt Albert was a nice one with all the clues quickly found. However when arriving at the final, there was a romantic couple of muggles nearby that made searching a little bit more tricky. Fortunately the cache was quickly found, the log book signed, and the muggles distracted with other activities not the wiser .
To help celebrate the find a minor milestone, another lap around the mountain was enjoyed. TFTC!

Enjoyed the walk around collecting the required info. Got to GZ and ugh, so much tree rubbish and sprayed plants. Clambered up over and around everything, but luck wasn't with us today to find this cache. The ground surface is covered with tree debris making your footing very insecure when searching. Never mind will be back another time.
I am really getting to enjoy multis ! Didn't take too long either ! Ric and I did good teamwork on this ! Nearly didn't find the second way point ! Tricky ! Was clambering around on scoria and under Tree debris for the cool final find ! TFTMulti !
This one has been on my to-do list for ages so today was the day it came off. Waypoint 2 had me going for a while until I was nudged to do a little better. Then it was on to the final. I was about to give up after being here for my allotted time when I spied it.
Out: Geocoin.
Cheers for the cache.
What a nice and good multi. Loved these kind. You can find all information clearly.
Thanks for keeping this one intact. The cache is still in his cave well hidden for non cachers eyes
Dogs loved this area....they have met so many new friends. Running and playing in the meantime that we were walking this cache.
The 2 TB's are not find in over 3 years...so really time to mark these as missing.
We have left a dutch Geocoin for others to find

Took us a long time to find WP2 and just as we were about to give up we found it! Quite a challenge! TFTC!
Tried this one a while back, but had to abort attempt at WP1 because there were a couple of lovebirds there. Waited a while but they were in no hurry to leave. Contemplated asking them if I could just have a look where they were seated, but didn't feel comfortable disturbing them. Anyway this time found information easily at WP1. Liked WP2. I wished I hadn't worn sandals, so left Master Dean to find the final as my shoes had no grip. Heard a few ouches, but I encouraged him to keep on looking. Finally he came up with the goods. TFTC
Suffered from some minor confusion; being unsure to use first name or full name, typing a wrong figure into the GPS, failing to read the final hint. But all sorted on a very pleasant afternoon sharing the park with the dog walking brigade. Thanks for a multi that doesn't take too long.
Was in the area for the earth cache.
Nice multi, wp2 was very good.
GZ might need an arborist to clear the area.

We started this multi a couple of months ago, but ran out of time to look for the final. We had no problems with WP1 and WP2 - we particularly liked the WP2 hide! Decided to head back to the mountain today to have a look for the final - GPS lead us straight to a particular spot, where we moved a few items and soon had the cache in hand! Thanks for a nice multi!

On a mission to concentrate on Multis today and this one was my 4th and final one. It was a great little stroll around the domain, and by the time I completed some other caches in the area I ended up being here way longer than I planned. WPT - 1 was super easy, WPT-2 was very clever but I got it first go, the final took some time...but I wasn't prepared to go home empty-handed, eventually I found its little hidey-hole.
A very enjoyable multi.

Nice day for a circuit of the crater, plenty of archery in action, and my first time up here. On the hunt with all 4 of us plus 3 additional kids, so five under 8! No probs at location 1 - 2nd was a challenge, and we had all but given up when a final desperate search at literally 0m yielded something that I had not been looking for, but fitted the clue - and hey presto! With new coordinates in hand the hunt was on again. 3rd and final had us heading in an unexpected direction though to a seemingly unlikely spot, and after confirming the coordinates and a slightly worried search, cache was in hand. No sign of trackables sadly, but took a few items for the group and left a whole pile of swag. TFTC - interesting multi on a nice day for herding cats.
Bagged this one after a fairly lengthy search at Wpt 2. Thanks for the clue.
Lovely views here although fields very wet.

Arrived at GZ to see that a lot of the tree cover had been removed, was worried that the cache may have gone missing, after a panicked search it was located.

Found with our new German friends "Japancacher". Tftc. Great walk in the rain. Not much in the way of views today
Was up in auckland today to attend the Skills day and thought id also collect 7 different types of caches in a day so that i can claim the 7+ a day challenge cache.
Was a bit of a climb up the hill to collect this cache.... perhaps i could have parked in a better spot. Have been very impressed with all the parks and hills in auckland. As a Waikato boy i never really appreciated just what auckland has to offer.
Thanks for bringing me here.

Not many arrows flying around here today (at least in the afternoon) due to the rain. Better for us so we could easily grab some caches together with Stretch.kerr and Mike-miss. Nice stages and a nice walk around Mt. Albert.

Great place for arrows up here. Up to early to watch thou. A lot of tree felling but cache still there. Meet a group also visiting for the skills day so all found together.Thankyou for this multi so close by as was working on the 7+ a day challenge.
Out and about with stretch.kerr and japancachers after the recent skills day event. By the time we started this multi the rain had set in and it was rather windy on the slopes of Mt Albert. WP1 was calculated easily and WP2 was found pretty quickly. No trouble locating the final either and yes, its nicely hidden! Thanks for this enjoyable multi on a wet afternoon!
Bank in NZ to visit family and friends - took the opportunity to do a few caches near where we were staying. First time up this part of Auckland really enjoyed the multi. Real team effort on this one. Great are for the hide with MummyFraggle locating and letting me retrieve (just in case there was something that could jump out at her). BabyFraggle took two blue marbles left coin. TFTC

This was a lovely and very enjoyable multi and a real Fraggle Team effort. I located the cache but wasn't too keen to reach and get the cache so sent the braver Daddy Fraggle to retrieve. TFTC
Did the first part of this multi back in April (before we got a GPS), so decided to finish it off today as the multi for our 7 different cache-types in one day challenge. WP2 was a clever hide - Master Jacksonz stated there were no numbers there - luckily I doubled checked. Final is well hidden. No trackables present, they should be marked as missing.
Out and about this afternoon trying to crack 800 finds. Enjoyed a wander around Mt Albert today. No problem with the waypoints (well, except for trying to read your handwriting!) or the final. Final was in plain sight as if it had been left out. Replaced and covered with some natural camo. Didn't see any trackables inside it. Cheers for the exercise and the cache!
Our 1,262 find BUT number 1,000 in NZ (go the All Blacks!!!)
Tremendous multi; all 3 waypoints were terrific. Enjoyed the walk, views, clever wp2, spring trees and finding a secret spot. It had been muggled the once as noted but it seemed secure dry and ok so we left the geocoin we had. Saw lots of parrots and tui. No arrows but some tremendous art. A fav. GINO TFTC

The first waypoint is pretty simple, but its the second waypoint that could prove tricky for some. Thankfully I have seen something like that before, so although it is extremely clever, I had the information for the final in hand quickly. After that it was a simple hunt for the right lava cave. Everything seemed to be in order, but having read the previous logs I made sure it had some good cover just in case. TNLN, signed log, TFTC!
Not exactly sure what to count for Wpnt 2 (and got it wrong on first attempt). Luckily Alianne af Tortal could remeber without needing to go back to wpnt 1, so re calculated and were on our way. Think the cache has been muggled, but everything intact. Note in log - 'I like cows, my ass, your mum, lol haha, i put the rock in, Alsome' (their spelling, not mine) - Alianne removed the rock. Enjoyed the walk, even with the extra steep climb i did. TFTC

Wahoo, finally got back here to settle the score, tried this one about 2 years ago but got a bit confused at WP2, now with a LOT of caches and types under our belts we felt confident, found WP2 nearly straight away and the final was a great spot too.

Very well done cache. Great to wander over the mountain again - this was where we used to play when I was growing up. WP2 had me going for a while. TFTC.
Lovely walk around the park. WP2 was nicely done. Found the numbers that i needed and headed for the caves where I dropped off the POW Camp Key A Travel Slug.
