Well after a false start that took me the wrong way up a steep hill, I turned around and had to walk all the way back to 200m shy of the start and turn left to get to berry springs. I nearly got discovered looking for the cache by some late muggles so got my camera out to take some practice photos of the fast running water. Nice walk and an easy cache once I got a sense of where it was.TFTC TNLN
Today the geocaching plan for Taurus Six and I was to meander our way to the International Geocaching Day event in a Toodjay. We have both taken the day off work to give us more time to get there and of course more time for geocaching . Our route was to come up the South West Highway and collect a few caches along the way, specifically between Serpentine and Byford. Brunch at Byford before heading to Armadale to pick up a couple of Adventure Labs . The next stop was a couple of caches in the Kalamunda LGA , because we have not yet got that one yet. Before hitting the Toodjay Road from Midland . The weather was overcast and a little cold in the morning and then the sun came out in the afternoon, however it was perfect for geocaching. All in all a great day of meandering, exploring and geocaching .This was our nineteenth cache find of the day and wow we loved this walk and the whole area . The flowing brook was very impressive too. Its the sort of place we would not have come if it was not for geocaching. Thanks for the cache find and it gets a favourite point from us for the experience .
Cache found whilst completing the nearby lab cache. Signed with a piece of charcoal as we left pen in car TFTC
A beautiful, sunny winter's day - perfect for a bit of caching. In the area so stopped off to collect these couple of golden oldies.TFTC Gekko 1, William the Wanderer this is find #17408 for us.
Got the find, geowife wasnt quite as game to follow me which made for a pretty spectacular pen throw that gladly hit its mark. TFTC!
Found it. Took a fair amount of prickle tolerance, but we got there. Ants didn't like us much either. Thanks for the adventure.
Amazing swimming hole.Great little hunt, the kids had an amazing time with this one.Note, bush land has been overgrown, so it may be a little tricky to navigate through the prickly bushs
This spot is a goody, we've been on the road before but never come in and we've been missing out, noone else here today as well which is always nice, TFTC

Once at GZ it was a quick find. I probably didn’t get to GZ the easiest way, I was more like a mountain goat.
Thanks for the hide
Thanks for the hide
Headed out to Berry Berry reserve to cleanup the two caches that have been unfound in the area for far too long.
It’s always been on the list after a long day between Perth and Northam or the Avon valley, and naturally got crossed off the list as it’s too far to walk.
You can park around 400m from each of the caches after driving into the carpark in the reserve, not the edge of the road as I had thought.
Nice spots here. Thanks For the find.

Out for another day of caching with BJA3.

This one has been evading me for a few years now but after the recent heartbreaking fires, it made finding this geo a lil easier.

This was a DNF (MIA) for me over a year ago but has been on my watch list... so when I saw it was adopted / replaced I was keen to come back - aside from the desire to swap the sad blue face for a happy yellow one, it's just such a great place to explore Last time I was here the river was dry so was also great to see the water flowing. Such a peaceful spot. After a lovely walk with the geohound I headed over to GZ and was pleased to make a nice quick find in the exact spot I thought it would be last time! No problems here today; awesome to finally tick this one off - and at last I can award a fave point for the location TFTC

We had a lovely day out with parkacruz. They contacted the CO about this one & offered to replace it. He was happy for us to do it. So we pooled resources & got the job done.
Out in the Avon Valley with PP2 being our guests, another day of off road adventures, hiking, slushing and sloshing to find some well worth it smiley’s. After a previous visit here we contacted the CO who was happy for us to replace the cache, this spot certainly deserves that, thanks Gekko1 for bringing us here, a favourite point awarded TFTC
A replacement cache is in play, we love this location and are happy to keep an older cache going happy hunting
Sadly it appears that this has gone MIA. We no longer live close by and cannot replace it
No luck here unfortunately. GPS & phone both kept bringing me the same spot which had a perfect little hidden hole for the cache... but it was empty. A wider search outwards from there was unsuccessful. Lots of places it could be though - will keep watch.
This one took us ages to find. GPS was all over the place. Fell over a couple of times too. Great views. Wish I'd bought the picnic A fave point from me.
Another winter weekend with brilliant weather so there was no excuse to come back to grab some more of the TbroG series caches and a couple of others in the are.
Amazing day with 36 smileys and only one DNF. We will be back for some more soon!
After hopping in and out of the car we thought it would be time for some hiking, so decided to find the two hides in the Berry Reserve. awesome views of the brook and some rapids.

Geocaching for the day with dezzabills and Lazars_68. We decided to complete the TBROG series of caches and called into the two Berry Berry caches while passing. Picked up the trackable to move along, and dipped a couple of others in while passing.
Out this way with geo-buddies, completing nearby series.
This one nice spot by the water. Thank you Gekko1.

tftc gekko1 a quick easy find while on another series. I loved the views along the river. The sounds and colours of the water and rocks was just stunning.
Great to be able to search out and find a cache at today's destination, the amazing varnished rocks of the 'famous' Slippery Dip. There was an unusually vigorous flow in Woorooloo Brook for this time of year, so the spectacle was even more attractive. Daddy and nano-Detour took, well, a detour while Mummy and Junior enjoyed the rocks and gnamma holes. Lovely spot, nice hide, thanks
** This is a very late log**
The caches I am now logging were ones I have found since setting off on a geocaching roadtrip with Eaglette2017 - the mission was to pick up just 5 more LGA caches as well as my geocaching centroid to enable me to qualify for a challenge cache over in Victoria that I visited when over there late last year. We had an absolute ball on our three days away, visiting many great locations, having lots of laughs and picking up many smileys.
Since then, I have been putting off logging any caches until I caught up on the ones from that wonderful adventure. Many, many more caches have been found and shared geocaching adventures have been enjoyed since then too, so it is about time that I got down to work on all those outstanding logs, albeit somewhat late.
I appreciate all the effort each of the cache owners has gone through to create and place each and every hide and I do not for one second take it for granted, I just need to get caught up so I can return to my usual style of individualized logs.
Shared today's adventure with Eliktrisiti and we had the best day. Thanks so much for all our smileys Gekko 1.
PS Dropped in a trackable here to continue its journey.

Me and Mistraluna were collecting some TbroG smileys when I suggested that we should do this bit of a walk to stretch our drivebums and grab the Berry smileys as well. And did we like what we saw? Yes we did. Can only imagine how magical the place looks in winter time. Thank yo Gekko 1 for bringing us here. Favourite point from me.
Took a detour from the TbroG series to go for a walk and grab these. Nice place for a picnic. Tftc.
Hi there Gekko 1. We found your cache **"Berry Berry 2"** at 10:56:00 AM today.
This was our 10th cache find in a caching run of 23 Finds & 1 DNFs today. (So this now makes our find count 15189.)
The aim of today's cache run was to complete the TbroG series of caches (and of course any other caches we passed along the way too).
We thoroughly enjoyed today's cache finds, and gave each one a favourite point (for the hide, the parking area, the inventive camouflage, or the adventure). This cache isn't part of the TbroG series, so it doesn't deserve a crappy old cut-n-paste log like all the others.
###Thanks for not placing an eclipse tin or a 200ml Sistema here. Once upon a time caches seemed to be "regular" sized, and well stocked with goodies for kids to swap. Nowadays it seems like every other cache is small and devoid anything to induce children to enjoy the hunt. It made us feel really good to find this cache in a "special" place.###
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found your cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** Container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
** Left**: A Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

Lads drinking in the nearby stream with a camp set up nearby. Their doof doof was so loud that they didn't even hear me cursing as I got scratched by nature while trying to find the cache. Eventually added my name to the log and hurried back to my car, Thanks.
Fabulous location for a cache. Another favorite point for bringing us here. TFTC
What a fantastic spot for a cache . A nice walking trail here that is in need of more exploring I think [^]. Fave point from me for the location
A nice hide here and thankfully we had no trouble adding our name to the log book. TFTC .

Another Friday morning, another caching trip to Gigde.
Great morning to be up here, 11 finds and 1 dnf.
What an amazing bush reserve. Will have to bring the family up here soon. Waterfalls, wild flowers and geocaches.
Took a few minutes but eventually found the cache right where my gps said it should be. TFTC.
Dropped a TB and picked up the other one here. Fave point awarded.

Taking a break from the new series that got published we went for a walk seeing it wasn't raining like last time.
GPS had us in the wrong spot but Chwiliwr eventually found the cache after doing a search.
Log signed and cache returned as found.

Thanks Gekko 1 for the cache.
After my last visit to this area, I was fortunate enough to run into a previous finder of this cache & happened to show him a photo of where I presumed this cache was supposed to be hiding... He confirmed with me that I had indeed found the correct spot, but alas no cache was to be found there
After contacting the CO, he kindly gave me permission to keep this one alive & replace it for him, so looking for somewhere to take the kids it was decided that we would make another trip out here... It was another nice walk out here, despite the heat & nice to find some cool water to put our feet in once at the falls [^] After replacing the cache we ventured around the rocks some more & the kids spent a bit of time trying to catch tadpoles in the water before heading back to the car.
Thanks for bringing us here Gekko 1 It is surely worth more visits than what it actually gets... Hopefully my recent visit will inspire others to take the walk out to this beautiful spot!

Headed out along this walk to the falls with my little offsider today & hopefully find a cache at the end... Unfortunately I was unable to locate it after searching for quite some time I did find a perfect little hidey hole that I thought would have been a perfect hiding spot, but there was no cache & plenty of empty beer bottles!
TFTH Gekko 1... This is such a beautiful location, so I will be happy to return for a second look (once my battle wounds from the scratchy bushes have healed)

Just a little further down the trail and we came to this cool waterfall spot. Wish we had arrived a little earlier because it would have been fun to explore around here. Anyway, we found the cache and signed the log but unfortunately I got bitten by a huge bull ant in the process. We were happy to find both of these caches today after the long drive, especially because they hadn't been found in a while. I hope the next geocacher doesn't leave it so long before the next log of this cache. This is a great spot to visit!! tftc Gekko1.
No phone coverage in this gully but managed to track down this cache with raw gps. Very well constructed and well hidden. Lots of goodies inside too. TFTC
Lots of young muggles in water below but they paid no attention to us. Just acted like we were sitting there enjoying the view
A marvellous, peaceful place..I hope this one is left to the GeoCachers only
Great walk. Beautiful spot. Very pleased
Found this cache just as the sun went down returning to our car in the dark.

The water was certainly flowing for our visit. Beautiful spot to return to for the first time in years. Kids all had a lovely time... even if one did nearly get swept away.

Fangorn4 and wet dog great find second ever. Can't believe there were some so close to home, watch out for broken glass!
I looked at these caches a couple of times and thought "Who would put a cache out here miles from nowhere?" Today I was returning from the Targa West and thought I should take a look. I must admit I was wrong. This is a Berry Berry nice place. Thanks for bringing me here.

Thanks for the hunt!, took the 6 dogs for a walk on the creek as it was bone dry, they had a ball, Left party poppers, Clean up after you use em though!
Been awhile since our last caching adventure, and chose a hot day to get back into it. Great area which we hadnt been to before. Will be great to return after some rain. A nice easy find after going down to the still large pool of water, wouldnt be too sure about drinking it, but it was bliss to tip cupped handfulls of it over my hot head!
Took 4 travel bugs which have been here quite some time, including one which wasnt logged as being in here, i think angledust must have dropped it here with the other 3 and not in the cache "Right under Twenty" as she thought. I will log it in here now, then reteive it to move along.
Thanks for the cache in this great spot, i also enjoyed the lovely colours on the smooth shiny rocks here.

found after Berry 1 walked to the cache area with a hash-house harrier marking a run for this afternoon, left her to continue on at the waterfall and soon found the cache

We had a nice walk around the trail but the bushland looked very dry and stressed after the long dry spell. Great place to come in the wet season. Thanx for bringing us here.
Wow what an awesome area! walked from Berry Berry 2 Berry Berry 2. I suspect the cache was a lot easier to get to this time of year as the last 150 - 200m I walked in the middle of the dry rocky creek bed. Spectacular scenery even when dry. Best cache location I have been to for a long time. Thanks for the wicked start to the weekend and TFTH.
This is what it’s all about. Being taken to these places of tranquility .TFTH TNLN
When we finally found the appropriate trail into the reserve, we parked and set off on the trail that we thought was the best. All around us was the smell of eucalyptus and sights of W.A. wildflowers welcomed us. As we moved up and up through the forest, we thought we saw a bit of a smashing of bushes and the odd bit of large footprint so we held up hope (and our camera) that we would find the elusive Bigfoot. In total we walked in circles for about 2km which isn't much unless you didn't take your water because you know that the cache was 600m away (haven't we all done that) and it is also far when it's through the Australian bush which is full of creatures that crawl...
Anyway, we made it to the waterfall and took in the sights...then turned and beelined for the cache. I spotted a bit of fur and maybe some fresh..well you know what. We opened the cache while holding our breath and....
no! It was gone. Some other hunter much more familiar with these woods had been here before us and had claimed his prize. On the way back to the car, on a much shorter path of course I kept my camera in hopes of snagging a picture of the hairy beast (well I did get some of El Cacholoco who had no time to shave before we left). Unfortunately that was not to be either. I did get a pic of some Australian wildflowers and this beautiful lizard who had camoflaged himself quite well.
Thanks for the cache and the adventure!

We ended up with a lot of extra walking when we took the wrong path. As we found ourselves getting farther from the cache we doubled back and ended up cutting across about 500 m of bush and rock to get to the right path.

Visited this cache today with Jodi of Team FireBoy, as she wanted to see a really nice cache in the Perth area. We enjoyed a nice walk along the track. I thought I saw a few odd looking footprints, and I thought nothing more of it, but when I opened the cache I got a huge surprise! There was a really nice Mystery Geo Sasquatch geocoin waiting inside! Wow! What a great looking coin. It will have a nice home in my collection. Jodi loved the falls and thought it was a wonderful spot, just as I thought she would. The falls are still running very well but the water was quite cold. Thank you very much Geo Sasquatch for making a great day so much better!
Beautiful area for a cache. Here with 3BlindEyes. This is by far the best cache I have visited here in Western Australia while on my holiday. I think I am in love with your landscape. I wanted to jump into the river and swim. TNSL Left Pathtag. TFTC! Jodi - aka NurseGirl
an easy find after a nice walk on a lovely spring day. Would be a nice spot for a dip on a hot day. Took camping magazine, left bath fizzer. T4TH
Dropped in and visited the cache at 3:20pm. I walked in with my young nephew Jarrad and his friend Josh. Grabbed the 'Rainforest Jewel Frog' Geocoin to move along as it's been here almost a month now. The falls sound great and are running quite well. None of us went for a swim today, we'll wait until it's a bit warmer.
A great walk to get here, and a nice day for it. Didn't have any trouble finding the cache here.
Talk about following your GPS blindly off a cliff - within metres of GZ I was so focused on my GPS I didn't hear or notice the hiker coming right towards me until I almost ran into him! He absolutly scared the pants off me!! Haha.
Anyway, had fun checking out the waterfalls, a very interesting area. Took nothing, left Rainforest Jewel GC, thanks for the cache.

Walked in here with my young nephew Jarrad of Team_Yabudarra. We came the hard way over the hill...we shoulda known better as we've been here several times before! I just assumed it was on top of the hill in the big rocks, but it wasn't. Not to worry, it was an enjoyable climb. Found the cache quite easily at 12 noon. Great to see and hear the water running well! Quite warm today so we both went for a 45 minute swim after finding the cache. The water was freezing, but fine once we got used to it. Jarrad enjoyed sliding down the slippery slopes on his skim-board. I found a baby snake of some sort on the track while walking back to the car. I picked it up but then I thought it may be a baby dugite, so I let it go real quick! TN-LN-SL. Thanks for the cache Gekko 1.
Found it, Accompanies with my grandson Joshua as he want drive my car for his “Learner’s Log Book†and we enjoyed walk along to the cache. Swap items. Thank you for organise the cache and hunt.
We parked at the picnic area and set off down the track...thinking that the cache was on top of the hill (thats where it looked like on the gps) son and I set off up the hill (wife and daughter declined) and thats what you call doing it the hard way...but the view from the top was fantastic (I think I could see my house.....). Took geocoin and left 1989 english penny. Great spot!
We tried to find this one on the 13th when we found Berry Berry, but a trio of muggles relaxing on the rocks near the water thwarted us!
Came back today and found it the hard way! Before looking for the cache we went and had a look at the natural pool and waterway and just relax a bit with the sounds of water flowing. We headed over towards where the GPSr was showing us and easily spotted the cache laying out in the open! The quickest way to get to it was to take a quick trip over the water as it flowed down the smooth rocks. Taking off my shoes I stepped into the water. Now the water is at best a couple of centimetres deep, but it is flowing rather quickly and I didn't really consider how slippery the algae would be. I took a few seconds to balance myself before taking the next step. It was here I learnt the the Etrex has a strap for a reason.
As I stood on the slippery rocks, shoes in hands, Etrex in my pocket (well half in my pocket) the Etrex fell out and started being carried away by the water. In a panic I grabbed for the strap of the Etrex, as I did that I started to lose balance. To regain my balace I dropped my shoes...in the water. Luckily they were a bit heavier and weren't being carried away.
Once I got balanced again I grabbed my shoes and took the last step out of the water and onto dry land again. Which was kinda annoying as I had to put my shoes back on that were far from dry.
Luckily the Etrex had a strap or I wouldn't have been able to grab it and it would have been swept away. Makes me wonder if that strap has some sort of other purpose that may have helped avoid the situation in the first place. I guess we'll never know!
Oh and what I thought was the cache wasn't, but after considerable searching found the cache, dropped off the Earthcache geocoin and took Nelly. All in wet shoes and socks.
Great well hidden cache and great hunt!
