Logs
Found, by torchlight: Spiders, many centipedes, and the lid to an Eclipse tin in a likely spot.
Not found: the rest of the Eclipse tin.
We eventually and reluctantly called off the search.

Sunday. Slow Puncture was out and about today after having visited parents at Indooroopilly for Mother's Day. We thought we would stop in and get some random caches between there and our son's place at Upper Kedron.
Unfortunately, this one is gone gone gone. We searched in all of the possible places the cache could be, based on the structure and the hint. We certainly found where it HAD been but it is not there anymore. Only the rusty lid survives. It would be great if the CO could attend to this so it hopefully gets replaced. It is a really good spot.
This was the only DNF we had on this trip.
Thanks [Blue]cebidae[/Blue], for showing us this place anyway, hopefully we will be back!

Look up for the muggles. Nice find though. There were a few items it could hide behind but GPS was spot on. Tftc!
Took some time as my GPSR was 6 meters out and that is a lot of searching in this type of terrain. Finally found the little sucker. Geocoins visited. TFTC cebidae.
Impromptu search on the way to the game with statman28. Neither of us were prepared with a pen! TFTC.
I'd driven over to Red Hill today to put an ad for a laptop on the noticeboard at the Tafe only to discover that the Tafe here has been closed. That was annoying but I could still do some caches in the area so it wouldn't be a competely wasted trip. Then I discovered I'd left my phone at home!
Caching with a GPSr and the street directory isn't exactly relaxing but I wasn't going home without making a least a couple of finds in the area.
Nice to see an old cache like this still going strong. The container is showing it's age but still doing it's job. I added a new RITR log sheet as the existing one was full.

First geocache complete with mikeyn! Holy cow, not as easy as some people had made this one seem (maybe virgins difficulty?) one hour in the Brisbane sun, ready for a little swim.
Found it, fairly quickly after some help from reading through past logs. Cache looking a little worse for wear, needs a new log book. TFTC
Got fooled by rocks that looked like cache containers. Found the right one eventually. TFTC
Another early morning visit in the area to get the daily fix and fill the caching calendar.
The smartiephone took me nearby but in an unlikely spot. Did a quick search there through the rocks but moved on towards the statue. It took some 10 mins before the container suddenly was there, right in front of my eyes.
This would need a new, proper log sheet and a new container would be great, too. But it's there, ready for the next finder.
TFTC, cebidae!

cache find #2103 We needed a cache find for today, and this cache also fitted in with the hidden by date challenge we have almost finished (only one more to find). Mrs GT54 found the cache in no time at all. Replaced carefully, as the bag needs replacing, and pencil is blunt. TFTC.
Staying in Paddington for a few nights with friends and knew about this one being close by. On a walk down to the pub an exerciser stretching right near the GZ ruined my hunt, but on the way back no such problem. tftc
Breakfast then a quick find first up! Not very waterproof but a nice park to look in with khor8300
As others have said... This cache needs a little TLC.... and I had no spares of anything on me... tftc...
Kids. my 8 year old saw it straight away less than 15 seconds looking. Great hide.
Container is in pretty rough condition, hinge has broken off and lid is not quite clicking in. Log book is full, pencil is not useable and the plastic bag that contains it has a huge hole in it! Good cache, just needs some maintenance, and some TLC.
Second one on the way to our goal cache with ErinPamela. Was not where we thought it was, but then looking at the photos we realised we hadn't even gotten to GZ yet and had gotten ahead of ourselves! Once getting there there is a fair bit of rock wall to cover, and not just one! After a quick look through past logs, I found some vital information and headed over. Spotted it straight away! Container is in pretty rough condition, hinge has broken off and lid is not quite clicking in. Log book is full, pencil is not useable and the plastic bag that contains it has a huge hole in it! Signed off on the extra paper SelvaGirls put in there before and put it back in place. TFTC!
Lovely little spot away from all the hustle and bustle. When I went, there was a lot of traffic above and below and a few people out walking. After finding the cache quite quickly, I sat on the steps to fill in the log. No one appeared to take any notice. The container is not in great condition - the hinge for the lid has completely disappeared. This makes it easy to loose the lid. It needs a new log; the pencil needs to be sharpened and the plastic bag has quite a few holes in it. I added a page from my notebook as a new log page. I would suggest that the cache owner needs to do a little maintenance on this cache
Spent ages looking in the wrong places. But, after resting on the benches I found the inspiration I needed
Grandad and I needed our grandchildren to find this first cache ! Great fun . Lest we forget !!!
After an appointment at the RCH, my kids and I decided to do a few caches. Took a little while and then noticed something. The lid has broken off but tried to keep it together when putting it back. TFTC!
Geocaching with wife and daughter. Wife spotted this. If I was with the daughter only, maybe could not find. thanks.
The first time I have noticed this cache. Stopped by tonight and found it after a few minutes. TFTC
Like looking for a needle in a haystack but we picked the right area straight off. Tftc

Daunted by do much rock wall but then spotted something that didnt look quite right and there it was tftc
Had to wait a few minutes for a muggle to disappear, but after that a surprisingly quick find! TFTC!

Haha. Don't recommend doing after dark! Almost gave in, had me between a rock and a hard place, but won out in the end. Keep looking is my only tip.
A little daunting upon arrival but the find was much quicker than I thought. I was dreading one of those official GC micro capsules. TFTC!
Looked tricky at first, but found it quicker than imagined. Micro loot inspected by daughter. TFTC
I felt a bit dispirited when I saw all the rocks but I must have had my caching goggles on! Enjoyed he history lesson and walking around these parts with geodog.

This was to be my last cache in Brisbane as I fly out to Singapore tomorrow I was in the city having been to the south bank market on Sunday morning and caught the free ferry back to north quay I decided that I should get one more cache I had already snaffled 2 on the South bank so I fired up the GPS and the one I chose was Old Icatha town but it was 1.6 miles away but as I have a late flight tomorrow I can pack in the morning so off I went, It was hot and hilly but I don't give up easy so on I went and eventually I reached the Main Street in Old Icatha and up the last hill to GZ and like the CO says there are lots of possible hiding places so I thought I had worked hard getting here I would sit on the I bench for 5 minutes and as I sat down and looked up something did not look right at all so after my rest I went straight to the spot and hey presto cache in hand and no muggles in sight. The cache is in great shape TFTC Chingola
My second ever cache find in the same day! This one was brilliant, took a while but was worth it, I put a little leprechaun Lego in thanks! Moon_head
First run past GZ, there was a couple eating burgers on the steps. Twenty minutes later, they were gone. On my second pass along the wall, I spotted something slightly out of the ordinary. Coordinates were spot on. Nicely done! Thanks for bringing me here.

having alluded me once before this one was not going to have the better of me today. 5min's in and a few strange look the prize was at hand
Found this on a sneaky mum mission while kids were at awimming lessons. Tftc.
Hard to find a park in this neck of the woods but I managed it today on the way to an Event.
Had a look at the names listed and paid my respects while looking for the cache.
Zipped down to the park and a quick search and the cache was in hand.
TNLNSL TFTC Thanks cebidae All good with this cache

We had just been to PPrime's Event just down the road so we just had to do a had few caches in the area, as you do!!!
We are not lovers of rock walls and certainly not at night but we were here so why not give it a go.
The GPS was showing us in a different spot but I spotted something different then Geo Wife did the honours as my hand would definitely NOT have fitted.
We took down the clue but on investigating the series I found others are archived which is a shame.
Thanks Cebidae TFTC SL

Going around and looking closely. I knew I had found it after spotting the cover. TFTC!
I set out on a mission today - 50 different caches in one day (sounds easy enough I know) but at least 1km apart from each other, as a partial requirement for GCQY6Q over on Rangitoto Island. My first thought was that this should be much easier in a new territory where I have not found many caches yet, plus we could turn it into a nice drive south to get a NSW souvenir /dev/gc0c made an excellent navigator, carefully choosing cache after cache to satisfy the challenge requirements, and calmly putting up with a few wrong turns as I was getting confused between my right and left... We started just after 6.30am, and got back just before 9pm having completed the mission - and not forgetting about the one extra for the 50 consecutive days - plus one more just for good measure. We had great fun along the way, even though it turned out harder than expected to find them all and keep tiredness at bay - coffee (or hot chocolate) in suitable doses does help! [^] Big thanks to all the CO's of the conveniently placed caches, they contributed to an excellent day!!
On my way between two solved puzzles grabbing this which was my closest unfounded traditional to work. They are getting further and further away now. Log all good. I think because it is new. Tftc.
Found myself in this part of the world to visit a choice violin store for geolad's bow. Found a close park and wandered to gz. Found cache after short hunt. Left new log and writing stick. TFTC. LEST WE FORGET
This one took a bit of hunting, finally found the right hole in the wall, cache signed without notice of the muggles using it as a short cut.
I loved standing there and reading your fascinating and comprehensive history of the area ... a wonderful adjunct to the caching fun. Fairly easy find thanks to my little GPSr.
13 down of the 31 required.
Relatively easy find in the dark, quite a popular thorough fare too
log is getting full too, I had no paper to add another sheet to it

The trick here is finding a parking space. Managed one some distance off and hiked back. It's interesting the places you find geocaching. I've driven past here probably hundreds of times and never knew it was here. At GZ worked my way slowly around, checking all nooks and crannies. Luckily no one else around as I'm sure I would have had some strange looks, considering the antics necessary to properly search. Eventually uncovered the sucker and signed the log. Thanks cebidae
First one for 31 days of geocaching. Great little tight spot where having small hands was an advantage TFTC
A quick grab after picking up a filing cabinet. Some nice trinkets in the cache, but we had nothing to swap them with. TFTC
I was a little apprehensive as I approached the site - boy, that's a lot of rock wall! But the co-ordinates were spot on, and I quickly found a likely spot. Thanks for the cache.
Walked along one wrong street, but I found my way up to GZ, not long after I got there I noticed something a little out of place, there it is, tftc.
Beautiful spot afternoon an early morning breakfast on Latrobe. A lot of little nooks and cranies but found it in the end!Wondering if the neighbours have spied many geocachers!
