1 DNF amongst my 6 finds this morning in Wentworth Falls.
After completing the "Den Fenella Track" earth cache, I could have followed a track here but wanted to save time so returned to the car and moved much closer, parking near Conservation Hut. Which was still as yet closed, so no coffee for me yet. Near the toilet block, I spotted a young lyrebird, scratching in the ground for grubs. He seemed tamer than any I've seen before, letting me get close for a photo.
Back to caching, and I followed the track down to the Queen Victoria Lookout, noticing the same geological features that I had just been looking at from the Den Fenella Lookout. Close enough to GZ and I started looking in places that suited the hint.
My signal was sending me in circles, so I ended up at many of the hint-type places. And most of the time I was getting <3m at the most likely looking one of the bunch. This looked like where I'd hide a regular here. And inside were a few flat rocks, just the sort that would normally be used as camo on a cache (on top, in front). But no cache.
So it seemed like I had found a muggled GZ, unless I'm missing something. But so many others have recently found this. Argh, very frustrating. I had to return to the top, empty-handed. Conservation Hut was now open, but I didn't have time for a coffee now after wasting so much time at GZ. It was now getting closer to time to head back and I only had one find so far. So I headed north for easier pickings at "Wentworth Falls Cemetery". Back home in Sydney now but will watch this one anyway...

Enjoyed our walk amid the showers. GPS all over the place so unable to locate GZ.
A rainy week in Sydney but it turned out to be a perfect weekend to go camping and explore the Blue Mountains. A few caches found and amazing places seen. Thanks
So happy to walk over from Wentworth Falls to find this cache! It was an extremely rewarding hike. It was also cool to see we were the second people to visit today, we left the TB in there though. TFTC
Found with my geodaughter on a gorgeous hike in this gorgeous area! Best view from a cache I've seen yet - a favourite for me! TFTC!
We were visiting from Canberra and staying very close by. My Geowife decided that we would spend the morning doing the National Path. I took the opportunity to find this one fairly near the start (as we started at the conservation hut). This was a quick find with the wonderful reward of a large cache. Thanks for this foundem.
Great cache find while on a lovely walk, nice to find a good sized one out in the bush. There were no tbs in this cache. Tftc.
What a beautiful view! Got here just as the fog lifted during our 2 day trip to The Blue Mountains. First cache in NSW.
3.5 weeks in Australia, 3300 km on the road and also many by foot, lots of animals - some nice (kangaroos, koalas!) and some less nice (spiders, snakes) -, frosty nights in the Blue Moutains, heavy storms and rainfall, and finally lovely sunny weather at the Gold Coast, many nice and relaxed people: this was a really great holiday in Australia! And not to forget: 80 caches found
After a spectacular hiking tour on the National Pass Trail we completed our Blue Moutains trip with this cache. Unfortunately, I approached from the wrong side - bad idea! The way back was much easier...

Honeymoon in Down Under - what a great experience an wonderful time! We were able to travel from Melbourne to Brisbane (including Great Ocean Road, Bendigo, Echuca, Canberra, Blue Mountains, Sydney, Hunter Valley, Port Macquarie and many other great places!) 3,5 weeks in total. Of course we also had to search for some containers and Eclipse-boxes !
We had a great time on the National Pass Way, and this box completes a very, very great day!

After an impressive and much needed breakfast at the nearby cafe, I made the trek down to the lookout and were amazed at the numbers of people that turned up out of nowhere. Perhaps all on the same busload. After being asked to take six different photos (don't they know I am a terrible photographer?), I eventually took a path less travelled to find a good substantial container. TFTC
Found at 15:14, #1 of 2 on 15/05/16.
On our way down to Empress Falls, we stopped for a little rest and grabbed this cache as well as dropped off Dhaulaghiri's Gecko and Tyrannosaurus Rex TBs.
TFTC!

Quick walk down, quick find, slow walk back up! Enjoyed watching canyoners abseiling down Empress Falls, which I have done many times, but not in recent years. TFTC
Near the end of a gruelling walk down Wentworth Falls and along the National Pass track, little legs found the steps up the side of the Empress Falls really hard, so glad to stop at this point, enjoy the magnificent view and find this cache - what a whopper! Really busy with muggles but they weren't too interested in a couple of seniors sitting down for a rest Signed as 'WW' and replaced as found. A favourite point for his old ammo can and lovely location. Tnaks for setting it up.

Happy to find this one quickly as I still had plenty of energy for the steps down.
On a morning out heading down to Empress Falls we stopped in for the view but were fogged in. Nothing but white. Luckily we had a cache to find here to make up for the lack of view. dingoman007 was the first to lay eyes on it, MrSmash opened it and I signed it. Assisted by aubeasty, StingrayAdam and TzelisFamily. On the way back up the fog had lifted and we could see where we had walked from and get a sense of scale. Thanks foundem.
Out with the geofamily and friends for a walk (or stairs in this case) and picked this one up early. Quick find and a great size.
So foggy, couldn't see a thing, but the cache wasn't anywhere near as difficult to find as the view.
Found this with B_Snackbar on a Valley of the Waters / National Pass/ Wentworth Track hike. Lovely location. Thanks for a wonderful cache!
Came up to the mountains to have a late breakfast, saw this geocache nearby and decided to do it :^) TFTC!
A very nice National Pass tour although you have to do some elevation. Great views! Tftc Nico172
Today was our first real day on the mainland after spending 10 days in Tasmania. After picking up the camper and driving to the blue mountains yesterday we got up earlyand took the National Pass including some side tracks. Tks was the only cache we did on the way, still early in the morning, but a great view! TFTC from DerLakaiMS
#3773 [11:11] this was a beginning of our walk, down to the canyon and many many steps back up thanks for this stop.
What a great day. Out walking the first part of the national track. Coming up from below it was an added bonus to find a cache before lunch at the Conservation hut. TFTC
What a wonderful lookout! Found it after completing the National Pass which also offers beautifuls views over the Blue Mountains. One of my favourite caches in this region!
Came from the other direction and spent ages in the wrong spot:D then I realized it was above me! Great find, biggest yet
We made the roundwalk from here to Wentworth Falls. Good spot for a view here! tftc!
I'm very much afraid of heights and as I neared GZ, the phone was telling me 6m and the Garmin was saying 12m. No way was I going anywhere near where the garmin was suggesting. For the first time, the phone was the more accurate device. I spotted interestingly placed rocks even before I ventured down to the next level. Placing the rocks back, I placed one conveniently on a finger ...damn that hurt! Fave point for the walk, the views, the ammo tin and the fact that it's yet another place I've never seen before. TFTC indeed.
Found the cache on our way to the Empress Falls on a lovely Sunday Afternoon with Grotty Yachty and family
Family day out in the Blue Mountains in company with AdriPearl. During lunch at the Conservation Hut, we saw there's a cache nearby, so on the way down to Empress Falls we stopped at this lookout and enjoyed the fantastic views and then after a brief search found this cache. Just as I retrieved it, I had to sit down on the cache container to hide it from muggles that suddenly appeared above me, I was then pretending to admire the views and they went away so I quickly signed the log and replaced cache. Great hiding spot. TNLNSL TFTC.
No luck today! GPS said to go 30 meters on but I looked at the advice of cachers before me and stopped to look under a wet ledge. Nothing! Might have been looking in the wrong place entirely.
Found it today before doing the National Pass Walk.
I searched it with two guys from the hostel I stayed the night. There where really impressed.
It is a very nice lookout here. Thanks for hiding this cache!
TFTC.

Found this one on an amazing walk on the national pass! it was a great day! Thx for showing!
GPS said to keep going but common sense prevailed. I took off my pack to start a more thorough search but it was right where I set it down!
I walked from Leura and charged off down to the falls. It was divine. After enjoying the peace and solitude i set about looking for the cache only to realise it was up. Lol. Needless to say i did not charge up the stairs. A well worthwhile detour. I'm now enjoying a jasmine tea before walking back to Leura. Tftc
We found this cache during a walk to the valley of waters. Thank you for hiding this cache!

After reviving with a cup of tea at the cafe following our drive up to the mountains in the rain we made the most of break in the rain to grab this one. Great to see a proper old ammo box again! TFTC.
Found this at the end of a beautiful hike around Vera Falls. We even met some fellow cachers at GZ

Great find. Plenty of steps to get there. But worth the view over the valley. Second cache find in less than an hour. Again with Chefpetar. Next one?
A nice trek through the bush that takes you to a wonderful lookout. Great hiding spot.
So how many steps were there? 500 down and 5000 back? Loved the mountains, loved the views.
Great cache! This was my first medium sized one. Left a little green lion and took a Star Wars Tarzo. Valley of the Waters is an excellent walk!
Shout out to Cactus Cache Crew members Jacob and Olivia =)
