Couldn’t find it. Maybe it was super camo... but I did find the lid of a clear coloured film canister on the ground.
It's obviously there beacuse everyone else keeps finding it... Not to be for me though. Cheers, interesting spot and I wish the board was still here. Cheers
Our first of the day on a joint trip , the little ones quickly figured out where we needed to be and in short time the cache was in hand, signed and returned. TFTC
Beaut day for a wander around the gorge with some friends. First find of the day- some inside knowledge made this an easy find
Found with a sister during our expedition to NZ, where we explored part of the North Island and could visit our classmates and friends that we have not seen for several years, as it is here, in Auckland and Napier live ... Thank you for cache ...
What a cool cache and spot , gps made sense once found. A favourite point if I had one and I’m only one there apart from a local dog walker compared to main car park down rd
We had to come twice to find this one it said it was easy. This is one of my favourites
That certainly was an interesting hide. And thanks for making the cache look so disgusting! Quick find but we couldn’t sign the log as it was too wet. Took a picture instead. Now to explore the tunnel. TFTC
Staying in Waihi for the weekend with Merlot58 and Supernanny, collecting caches for the Mystery at the Museum souvenir. It just started to rain heavily as we approached GZ, so we were grateful for the shelter. Thanks for bringing us to a place that we would possibly have never found without geocaching.

After going to get the multi in the tunnel, Bennett24 kindly headed off to do some cache maintenance while I had the chance to come here and look for this cache which Bennett24 had already found but had recommended I come to look for.
Got to GZ (well not GZ) had a look around and then adjusted the angle (height? altitude?) appropriately and was in a much better place. Still poked about a bit and then saw the nice camo and retrieved the log - kicked myself I hadn't brought a spare as this is full, full, full. Found a spot to log in and headed on my way.
Nice cache, thanks for the cache. New logbook required.

Amazing hide. Soon we located the hiding place and it was quite easy to find the cache itself. Great camo.
TFTC, very cool cache. Appeared to be in the wrong place but we popped it back where it should be. Also needs a new log, slightly wet.
I am traveling with my daughter Lucinka mundlinka and son Negrritos across the New Zealand. We are from Prague, Czech Republic. We love "geocaching", the main target is caches )

Found while out walking the trails at Karangahake Gorge this morning. I really liked the camo on this one, as well as it's secret hiding spot. The log sheet is extremely full. TFTC
With my brother and my friend Lea, I set out to discover New Zealand in a Camper Van for three weeks. It was a wonderful time. We were hiking a lot and enjoyed the diverse nature of New Zealand. It is exciting to drive on the curvy roads. We discovered great waterfalls and beautiful beaches. Bathed in thermal springs and climbed high mountains. It was a very special time. Of course, one or the other box was collected. All the caches I made were in exciting places. My travel companions always came with me and often found the caches rather than me. Thank you for laying and caring.
Today we wanted to explore this historic site. My brother had the idea. Unfortunately, it rained heavily the whole time. In the tunnels this was not bad, but on the way we were already very wet. The caching was not so easy with a wet cell phone. We were able to find almost all caches on the way. The logbooks are all wet.
The trails themselves are very interesting and exciting. It's a bit scary to walk around in an old mine. But I had my companions for safety. Thanks for putting these caches in such an interesting place.

Brilliant hide and container. It was great to find such a cache and no one to desturb. FP from me
Took a while to figure out what was required of this one but we soon figured it out.

Took us a minute to figure this one out. Literally staring at it in confusion before we poked at it. Tftc!

Heading home to Gisborne on back country roads collecting some smileys. Great place to hide a cache. Favourite from us. TFTC
Found it! Went for the railway track and found out about this cache. Very well instructions! Thanx Greetings from The Netherlands
With rebel98, just got out from the tunnel and took a detour. Hmm was under the walkway, wrong! Read the description, hmm has to be another way and there was
Rebel missed on the first pass, with so many favorite points its going to be special and it was. A great way to finish. Thanks for the hide

Walked to the end and missed the treasure. But rusynz found gold, and left some parchment for the next finder as log is getting full. A favourite for this well camoed hide
Today we drove by car to Waihi. We visited the railroad path and found some caches. So we had a beautiful day again.
This one we loved because of the good hiding place. So we give a favourite point to it.

Out walking in the area today and collecting as many of the caches as we can.Our first cache of this kind and we really enjoyed it.Cache number 868.Good fun.
Stopped by on our way through and glad we did! Were greeted by two Kereru and were excited when we spotted where we thought the cache would be. A bit chilly in the gorge but powered through to get our hands on it
Find #2858. Biked the HRT from Waihi to Paeroa return while on a winter holiday. I don’t usually venture into dark confined spaces looking like water comes rushing out at any time, but in this case I did, and collected the well-disguised cache. Couldn’t sign it though - no room left and too wet! TFTC
My family and I are holidaying in NZ from Oz and came past here to explore the gorge. I went in search of a cache as having smileys from places we have been is a nice way to map out where I have been in NZ. Awesome hide! Houndpup signed too and may or may not log his find (kids!) TFTC

Great day with CHGY and fuschnu. Took us a bit but once we read the instructions again it became clear. TYFC!
Enjoyed cycling up this trail from Paeroa. Never even knew this train tunnel was here so enjoyed going through there before I turned around to head back. Stopped by here to explore some more on my return. Had me scratching my head a bit until I expanded my search. Very clever, laughed when I found the cache, gets a FP, cheers

We were truly looking forward to walk the old railway tunnel. But just before that, we had to stop here for a minute to enjoy this cache. By the description it sounded pretty clear where to look for it. Now ReCached and I just needed a way to get down there. After we managed that, we took a closer look at the scene. ReCached overlooked the clever camo, but I had a feeling we hit the right spot... and there was the cache. Very nice camo which deserves an FP. TFTC nodo (now owned by Willbuild )!

Found it by using the hint. Of course after I signed the log I left my sunglasses there and had to go back to get them. TFTC
We came here to walk through the old railroad tunnel. After this we added a short walk and picked up this box.

Today's program is the Karangahake gorge including all the mining history along the way. It is interesting to see how fast nature takes over when the influence of men is gone. So many buildings are gone and overgrown and all that in a relatively short time.
The trail presents a lot of different types of trail and we started the easy way along the river Whaitawheta with a good path, tunnels and of course geocaches.
The Dubbo track appeared to be much more of a challenge, especially because climbing is not my strongest point. But the totally different track provided us with a new experience and the track is beautifull (and very slippery).
The path for the last part back was less interesting but gave us some extra caches to find.
Close to the way to the carpark we were triggered through the reamins of the Crown Battery, so we explored the site and found the cache.
