Second cache for the day. Second fail of the day. A fairly clear hint. Pretty sure we're in the right spot but no cache to be found. Another fail for us. At least we're on a roll!

Heading out west from Albany chasing a completed puzzle cache. Missed this one when we visited the nearby forest a few weeks back so we thought a little detour would not go amiss. Impressive house G2's Bg. We would never have guessed you would live in a palace like this from the cloth on your back. I guess you can never judge a book by its cover.

Or is this where G2 is hiding out? He may not actually want to be resurrected from this life of luxury. Hopefully we have not blown his cover.

Found it! Great day. Freezing. Not stopping for a swim in the lake this time...

What a beautiful find.

21-May-15
An expected and much appreciated early finish after my exam today had me eyeing up a few target caches and a chance to clear the Riverhead loop of errant puppies, piggies and all manner of other fauna. With some healthily loaded salad and tuna sandwiches for company, a full tank of fuel, and a promise of rain all afternoon I ensured I'd got my scruffiest caching attire and was all set. Hitting the trail before 1 this afternoon had me back at my accommodation beforte dark with a succesful mission achieved. All in all got all the targetted puppies, piggies and over 40 smilies, including a first Smile cache.
What a beautiful property here, well jealous. If only I had some money.......
Dreaming again. T F T C

Easy find while in the area thanks ... Have been here many years ago on a garden tour !

Wow nice place

31-Mar-15
I shot past the GZ not because I wasn't paying attention, but because a car was right up my a---. So when I turned around, I saw the huge magnificent entrance to the lakes, I thought at first I could just drive in there and walk around the park, but I saw the letterbox and realised it was owned by hugely wealthy (and probably greedy) people... seems to be the area for extreme wealth. The cache was seen, signed, returned and onwards for more country caches.

19-Feb-15
I was out this way meeting friends for lunch at a nearby cafe so as I had a bit of time up my sleeve I stopped to pick up this cache on the way. Wow, it certainly is a nice wee hoose, oh, how the other half live! A straightforward find

16-Feb-15
First find on a very productive quest out west day. Certainly an advantage to have the Fluro gear on, no one seems to give you a second look no matter what you are doing. ...awesome ....makes Geocaching life so much easier. Cheers V.

Absolutely lovely place across the water! Out in the area to check out the route for coatsville Classic and thought we could do caches at the same time. TFTC

20-Dec-14
This one was completely water logged but was still able to record it due to waterproof markable paper?
More caches need this type of log paper. Now... if I could only win lotto, this might be a great piece of real estate to purchase.....tftc

Following a few days work in Auckland, I stayed on to spend a couple of days caching (and to cache up with my kids at uni). Stopped here as I was passing for a quick find. It seems this is a popular area for mansions. TFTC.

Out to find a few caches today in the West.

Another DNF - this is just not our day. Searched high and low.

Not sure if it is missing or not - hint is pretty specific, or we may be blind!

On an extreme caching mission day trip from the mighty 'Tron with 11hpgh11, HKCB & JDM99, hoping to complete three Auckland power trails/puzzle series (Dalmations, Route 66 & 30 smilies) & find as many extra caches as we could along the way. We logged as any of the possible combinations of H, H, K & J, as we kept forgetting which combo we'd agreed on.

Parking & the find here were all straight-forward; good fun caching as a crew trying to avoid the intermittent heavy rain with a definite absence of muggles around today to question our madness. And, yes, unanimous in agreeing this would be a nice wee country house but only if you had the enough coin for all the cleaning & maintenance staff too TFTC.

A trip a long time in the making. 4 brave cachers to attempt 3 Auckland Powertrails in one day. Could it be done? Who knows. HKCB, Kiwis69, Jdm99 and myself arose early and left Hamilton to attempt a massive collection of caches. We logged as a group name HKJH or HHKJ or JKHH as our brains got wearier as the day progressed.

Back onto the Smiley series and thankful for the good parking, clues, coords and caches. A modest wee hoose isn't it. Give me a 100 year old cottage any day.

04-Oct-14
Out and about with Kiwis69, 11HPG11, and JDM99 on the sole purpose of tackling all 3 power trails in one day, and any else in between. To maximise as much daylight as possible it meant a real early start, so was on our way to Auckland at 3.30am, and the first cache located just before 5.30am. After many puppies, a couple of piggies, a few smilies, some epic field puzzles, and a trip down route 66, 16 hours of caching, 250ish caches and numerous kilometres we achieved our goal about 9.30pm. A great day, with some great company. Thanks to everyone for all the placements, we signed the logs with some combination of HHJK, for some reason the order kept changing.

Nice hoose here, but not my cup of tea. Straight forward find.

Our stay in New Zealand is now almost at the end. We use this free time to find some caches with our firend Karapo 88 in the surroundings of Dairy Flat. It was quite an efficient day and we found a lot of cache with her. We even met some others geocachers on the way. ANd as usually, the weather is super fine... It will have been an only unny stay.

Thaks to the owner for the cache and to Karapo 88 for the ride in the surroundings.

TFTC. First find of the day, on the way to hunt out a letterbox and a couple of other caches whilst the lads ran round the forest. I reckon cutting the lawns would be a full time job in itself!

After long orienteering race this morning actually had enough energy left so I toured around the roads surrounding Riverhead Forest, and eventually came out near Albany not realising where I was for a time! Was not really wearing suitable caching clothing [my shirt was a bit too visible]. So pretended to be stopping by to admire the view here - a nice wee Hoose with lovely surroundings.

Found today with Sir & Lady Harveyjj.Smile

Please forgive the generic log as I'm logging as & when I have access to wifi so details of individual caches have become hazy, however that does in no way detract from the time and effort you as CO have put into your hide - that's very much appreciated.
We're in New Zealand on an extended holiday and have loved every minute of it.
We're very grateful to you for placing caches which have led us to some of the most beautiful places on the planet.

The logs have been signed either in our individual caching names or as T2 (being Sir & Lady Harveyjj plus B.D.I's)
Cache returned safely from whence it was found.

Thank you and greetings from the UKBig Grin

Another Cool Cache - neat hide Big Grin

We managed to grab this cache whilst travelling around this wonderful country on holiday from the UK - we decided to have a rather BIG day caching. Therefore, during our move up North from Auckland to Omaha region we did a 'little' detour to collect as many as we could Smile

Sorry for the late logs, we have only just returned to a PC to log our mission.

Many thanks for the cache. We have signed the log as T2Sir & Lady Harveyjj & B.D.I.s Big GrinBig Grin and dipped our trackables Cool

Find 08 of 17 for the day and #1548 in total.

Got here while the gardener was doing the rounds and Spice was mesmerised by the ostriches in the front paddock.
We walked up to GZ for a quick find and stayed a while for view of the mansion, great viewing spot.

Our fifth day of our honeymoon to New Zealand and Australia.
Yesterday it was a bit late before we had logged all caches, but we woke up very early this morning. For *Ba it was a nice day with a nice wake up and a nice amount of caches in view. After having our New Zealand breakfast we walked to Hertz to rent a car for one day. It became a Toyota Carolla, which is here a small car, but in the Netherlands already a medium size car. As always driving on the right side of the road it was our first experience of driving left. But it went not too bad. We took only by accident the exit as we did not notice that the left lane was the exit one and not the slowest way on the highway.

Normally we are not the geocacher who love to do trails like this, but as our target is to reach our 5.000 founds during our honeymoon trip in Australia we needed a certain amount of caches. For us this is the second time in our geocaching career that we found more than 100 caches on one day.

After doing the trail Jo wanted to go back to the hotel as she had some pain in her eyes. We decided to take a little detour to also visit a multi cache , letterbox and earth cache. The total founds of today came on 110 caches. After driving back to Auckland we first changes glasses in the hotel, brought the rented car back and walked again to the supermarket for a diner. Along the way we visited some shops and Ba found a belt for only 5 NZD. In our opinion the food is very very expensive in New Zealand we had a simple diner of Mexican wraps out of the oven and a salad of onion and cucumber. The desert was the same as yesterday, because we bought already a six pack.

This was our last day in Auckland. Tomorrow we drive further to Whitianga. We hope the weather is at least as good as today. We started with a very cloudy sky, but during the trail we saw also some sun. And if it could be a bit warmer, that would even be more nicer.

We found this cache today between 2.15 PM local time.
On the way to the letterbox we came along this cache. While parking in the sholder we saw already the cache, so it was easy to go to it. The sheeps were a bit scared and runned away. As the cache was covered by a spider web, we approached the cache carefully as we are not familiar with all animals over here.
