Disabled until we can check

07-Aug-12
Didn't find ... and hadn't seen the previous DNFs before arriving at GZ.
Initially looked like kids had been building a fort directly on GZ, but later i wasn't so sure.
Began to drizzle so left without extending the search too far.

06-Aug-12
Like the previous GC-er, I looked in what seemed the obvious spot, and in several other not so obvious spots but with no joy. Such a shame - just when I had built myself up to part with the ABBA collection CD I've had for so long! Sorry, fellow GC-ers, you miss out for the time being.

03-May-12
Is this still in Place?????? I looked at what seemed the 'correct' place but no sign of the cache

23-Nov-11
Short hill to get the blood moving in the morning, Easy find.

13-Nov-11
This is the sort of cache I enjoy, a pleasant short walk from an urban street and all of a sudden everything is peaceful -well most of the time it was though initially there were sirens down below, in view of the unfortunate history mentioned on the cache page I was wondering whether they were going to check to see whether I was up to something!
A bit of water on top of the tank as well today, presumably from yesterday's rain.
An easy find, cache and contents in nice condition, TNLN, several trackables visited.
TFTC, deserving of a favorite point but I have none available at the moment.

03-Nov-11
That's a wrap on my 599th find. Was pleased to cast this cache in a starring role for my two-year geo-anniversary.

19-Mar-11
A classical Saturday afternoon, one out of the box, late summer warmth, a hint - just a hint - of autumn, and some caches to bowl over.

Made easy work of this one, all in order, signed the log and rehidden safely as found.
TFTC, found with team cacher Sweet P too Big Grin
The Turtle strikes again!

29-Jan-11
About time we looked for this cache as it was the closest to where we were staying with my sister last month. Great views up here. You'd think such a large cache would be easy to find, but we resorted to the hint in the end.
TFTC.

18-Jan-10
A nice quick find after admiring the views. Took a look at the firebreak and wondered why anyone would want to mtb up that?
+ Rosetta Stone TB. Thought this was appropriate, being a "digital" item from a previous age.
TFTC.

31-Dec-09
1560 Nice quick find after a short climb. Nice views, played cops and robbers for a few minutes! TFTC

30-Dec-09
Out for a mountainbike ride along the summit to eventually get to labyrinth track. Found this one soon after starting the climb on a hot day - maybe I should have started when it was cooler! As i was on a mtb neither brought nor took anything digital. TFTC

25-Nov-09
Found as part of my three week caching trip from Wellington to Auckland - # 142. Specific clue made it really doable. Thanks.

20-Nov-09
Nice little spot. Took the liberty to 'walk' on water. Clue took me straight to the cache, nice and easy. TNLNSL TFTC

26-Oct-09
This one found by kidhakla and his mugglemate. Not sure what mugglemate's parents will think when he tells them about finding 'cash' all over the place.

30-Sep-09
Nice little walk up to cache. Interesting area - SL thanks for putting cache here.

06-Sep-09
Quick find on a perfect Wellington afternoon before a walk up to get "Aerial View". Took Family GC, dropped off "Left Nut" GC. Signed log, TFTC!

09-Aug-09
I found this cache on a glorious winter's day. It was a nice little warm up before taking on the fire break to find Aerial View. I left a Starlight Classics CD and took the Victorian Bushfire GeoCoin with the intention of relocating it to the Bay of Plenty. TFTC.

26-Jul-09
Never knew there was a reservoir up here so popped up for a look - Was looking for your typical structure above the ground then realised I was actually walking on it i.e. it was built into the ground - LOL! Found cache quickly, some photos for trackables (left one behind), then off home again - T4TC Smile

09-Jul-09
Found this one with some friends who now want to be Geocachers.Left coin, took slug. TFTC

S 41° 12.458 E 174° 56.460
Distance From Old: 52.1 feet
Looks like they may have finally finished working up here, so have replaced cache, but have had to move it to a different place.

04-Jul-09
Replaced & co-ords changed, hint updated too. Dropped off Iilis travel slug.

01-Apr-09
After checking the cache a few days ago, we returned today to replace it with a new one, only to find that a man with a digger had beaten us to it. Sad No sign of the trees where it was originally placed - its all been flattened. We are away for a couple of months very soon, so when we return they will hopefully have finally completed the work there and we will replace it then.

28-Feb-09
TNLNSL, TFTC. Cache needs some TLC

04-Feb-09
Wow, they've certainly changed things here, surprised the cache lasted at all!. Will leave where and how it is for now, but will replace with a new container and may consider moving it to a new location.

26-Jan-09
Due to work in the area the cache has been damaged. Will sort out soon.

25-Jan-09
Found on way back for Aerial View. Due to work being done on the Reservoir, the area is a shambles. The Tree at GZ was in a sorry state and the cache has suffered some damage. TNLN TFTC

11-Jan-09
Very interesting information about this location. Found the cache easily, guarded by two cockroaches, but everything inside still in perfect condition.. Some of the items inside brought back memories from ages ago, but took nothing as we didn't have any CD/DVD etc lying about.
Thanks for the cache and great view.

01-Jan-09
Lots of construction work going on here, but the cache site appears to be the only area untouched. Hope it lasts.

06-Dec-08
A hot day and an interesting spot. Continued up the fire break to Aerial View. Swapped game CDs.

28-Sep-08
Relatively quick find once I found the easiest way to approach the cache. Cheers Gav [2505]

31-Aug-08
A nice sunny Sunday and apparently a popular area for walking as there were 2 groups of people ahead of us. We turned right to the cache Wink. No swaps. We forgot to bring a swap that we had been saving for this one Sad. Dropped off 2 geocoins. Unfortunately we also forgot to record the number shown on the 2nd coin (TB10XF7) before we dropped it off Red Face. Have emailed the owner, so if we hear back from them before someone picks up GC, will log it proper so it gets recorded as being placed in this cache. TFTC.

14-Jul-08
Quick find from an unashamedly obvious hole... no digi swaps today, sorry. tftc.

11-Jul-08
Realised too late that we didn't have any digital things to exchange with us...
TB seems to have been here for a while, we're sure he's ready to travel!

Amazing how much water there is ON TOP OF this hill!

IN: nothing
OUT: Mater'in Around TB

28-Jun-08
4th cache for the day. We were going to do this one as part of our decent from the aerial view cache. We decided instead to go back to the car that was parked a White Line Rd were we started our travels earlier in the day. This turned out to be a good thing as the hoped for buses to return us to the car would have been too longer walk and with our legs already busting from a trek of some 8km's up hill and down dale it would have proved the end of two intrepid cachers.

07-Jun-08
#134. Nicely placed cache.
- The 5 Star GC
- Nestle's Polar and Underwater CDs
+ Mater'in Around TB
+ "The Edges of the Night Watch" DVD

First one for the day, gps lead us right to the gate, a short climb, and the cache was ours, nice idea, was wanting a cd as I had goofed up my ipod selection, no luck though.

We enjoyed this one, on a misty type of morning.

Cheers

3.45pm Took much longer to find the street than to climb the hill and retrieve the cache!! Wasn't prepared for the themed cache so no swaps. Thank you David and Michael

11-Jan-08
Great idea for a cache - no swaps though. Felt a little spooky clambering up the fire break given recent events

First North Island cache of this trip. Though about running up the track but decided to walk.

We enjoyed all the caches we visited in a 15 day period and where pleased with the location and the size of the hides. Managed to find at least 1 cache a day and given we have a small baby that is pretty good.

14-Dec-07
Very close to home but Idid not even know the reservoir was there.A good location.

02-Dec-07
Great concept for a cache, even managed to leave something. Good views and interesting history. TFTC

23-Nov-07
Quick find, purty view. TFTC

07-Oct-07
Great cache.
Looked in the wrong place to start with, but found it in the end.
I liked the hiding place. The ground was all red, which seemed sort of spooky considering the places history.
Someone who was with me was able to guess the place was a reservoir without me telling him, that was funny.
