COol hide. I found it after my caching buddy had looked in the same spot and missed it!!! Laughs had all round. TFTC
Good hide, LumpyJMB found it after I had already searched that area. Must have cache blindness tonight. TFTC!
Second try at this and got it in no time. We must have looked straight at it so many times. Tftc
My first try at this cache was on a 40 deg day, I really just wanted to get out of that alley and into a cold rock. needless to say I failed miserably. Had a second try at this one, on a much cooler day, spotted straight away, can't understand how I missed it the first time. sl tftc
Found this one on our holiday in the Ballarat/Bendigo area. Found this one really easily after we managed to navigate ourselves to the right laneway. TFTC, found with WyldMan92
Found on a lunch break on a work trip to Ballarat. The hide was easy enough but I could see how it could be missed as it didn't look out of place at all. First cache in Ballarat. TFTC
Stealth was the element that made this hard, a van parked right near ground zero. Thankfully the van was empty, retrieved cache and walked up lane to fill in log.

Visiting Ballarat only briefly, I hired a bicycle today and went out exploring with a view to finding some geocaches. I was ready to quit and was heading up to visit my mother-in-law in Ballarat Base Hospital when I noticed this cache was close by.
A brief diversion found me at GZ and the cache was in the very first place I looked. That doesn't often happen! I spotted it straight away and had the log signed and the cache replaced moments later. No problems here, the cache was in good order.
In: Nil, Out: Nil
Dipped TBs for miles
Signed the log and replaced as found
Thanks for the cache

A list minute trip on a successful night of caching, but this one wasn't meant to be.
Searched for ten minutes but couldn't come across it in all the spots I thought it should be.
Very disappointing, but will return some day and hopefully have a find.

Found @ 23:45 with Muggle-L. Miss L said that the middle of the night was the only time to attempt this one, so we did. I made an insta-find but fumbled the replacement so my caching companion offered to fix my mistake. The container is back where it is supposed to be.
Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables.
Thanks for the cache highrod.

Nice laneway that I never knew existed, and a very nice spot indeed. With timeforspice
In the area to pick up 'Our house in the middle of the Street', thought we would look for this one too. Almost gave up then decided we should have one more look. Geomum sat in the car, Geodad found it. A beautiful old building. Thanks for bringing us here.
# 296 - we had far more trouble here than we should have! Thanks for a good hide, we love these hidden alleyways full of surprises! TFTC high rod
Found with my cousin who is a native to the area and enjoyed going down a lane she'd never been down before! TFTC.
What a crazy little alley.... So many surprising spots in Ballarat....

Great hiding spot - soon in hand and LS and replaced. TFTC You certainly are a busy couple with all the great caches you have done and we do enjoy finding them highrod
Another quick hunt before heading off to Sovereign Hill, still too early for many people to be around, but still wanted to be nice and quiet with all the surrounding houses!!!
didn't take long to locate this one.. Quick signing and we were off again.

This cache was found on my trip to Victoria and New South Wales for the Oz Mega event at Albury. Great trip which included finding over 230 caches in the 6 days.

Found the cache after looking for the third time in the most logical spot - why I did not feel it the first time is the question

Found on our Ballarat Smackdown weekend with DazRascal, Blacklegend, Trailrunning and Quasar3671!
Had to keep the kids quiet as we searched for the one. Cache was quickly located with plenty of eyes on deck.
An interesting spot and a very nice building. Many thanks for sharing it with us.
TNLN SL. Cheers.

One of 184 cache finds during our "Ballarat Smackdown" weekend of caching on the 23rd to 25th. There were 13 of us including Blacklegend and three of his kids, Trailrunning, Haveanez and their two boys, Dazrascal and myself amd my two boys Tyler and Cooper. We'd spent a few weeks planning the trip, with every Ballarat Puzzle solved in the area, cache lists and road and route maps all ready to go. We stayed in the Miners Retreat Motel for the two nights and the accomodation and facilities were great. Our goal was simple - find as many caches as possible in the time we were here !
We found a great variety of caches and hides during the three days, which also involved a bit of walking and some 4WD fun as well in the state forests north of Ballarat. The weather was quite cold of the Friday and Saturday morning but eventually cleared to nice sunny weather Saturday arvo and Sunday. We all had a great time, especially the kids who did really well to keep up with the pace we were moving.
Our second day of caching and it was to be our biggest day and fullest day too. Had to keep the kids to lower the level as we founbd the cache. Nice building. Cheers.

One of 182 caches I personally found during our "Ballarat Smackdown" trip. The trip included teams Quasar3671, Trailrunning, Haveanez, Dazrascal and myself. Caches included around 30 mystery caches, a few earth caches, lots of trads and multis and both day and night caching. Some 4WD action was encountered as well, which was great. All puzzles within 60kms were solved.
I took three of my kids, Jasmine 7yo, James and Jemma 5yo twins, traveling from Tocumwal. The trip covered 3 days and two nights, staying in Ballarat. Quasar3671 took his two boys as did Haveanez. One of the best caching trips I have been on, and certainly lots and lots of finds, almost clearing out the main Ballarat area. Home base was the Miners Retreat motel, which was quite pleasant and quiet.
This was a find on our massive Saturday run, which included both day and night caches. Lunch was a picnic in the bush at one or our cache stops. A night caching run was undertaken after a rest and dinner.
Had to be quiet down the little alley here, but kids were good and cache found quick. TFTC.

After a successful Friday evening to start off the “Ballarat Cache Smackdown” with 34 finds on the first day the Saturday was always going to be a day of superhuman effort. It started early with a run heading west and south, only to finish the day and night with a run to the Northwest and North. A great day was had by all because there was some good 4WDing and the weather held out for the day with only one notable shower. A total of 98 caches were collected today, and it shows you how quickly a cache can be located with so many searchers. This cache was one of them. A quick find near the impressive school building. Thanks for cache #79.
We were sitting outside GZ in our car, when a dog started barking, then a rattle of tin and the neighbour popped his head over the fence. Thankfully we were just sitting looking at the GPS like we were lost. A quick find was then made. TFTC.
Find #13 of 25 for the day @ 1615 Hrs... Find #646...
The dog backed & then the bloke stuck his head over the fence to find 3 pairs of eyes staring blankly at him... He quickly climbed back down after he made sure that we weren't up to anything untoward... Pleasant day to cruise around Ballarat with Moosetash collecting some 'smilies'...
Took: Nothing
Left: Nothing
Thanks to highrod for bringing me here...

Found on my second or third attempt. Don't know how I could have missed it the other times. TFTC
a nice quick drive by. Glad to do this on a Sunday afternoon. Thanks for showing me the back alleys of ballarat. TFTC
After yesterdays rain I found the cache was wet, but the log was still nice and dry. Quickly signed and replaced.
Thanks highrod
Thanks highrod
Nice one, we dried out the cache and replaced log and bag as they were saturated. Thanks highrod
Nice little hide. The log was soaked but luckily I had my stamp and that worked but I couldn't wright the date. I didn't put the log back in it's plastic bag hoping that somehow it will get a chance to dry a bit for the next cacher to log if it's not already replaced by then. I doubt it will make much of a difference tho. TFTC
Nice quick drive by. Great hide.
Will log a maintenance log, log to wet to sign

08/10/2011 22:45 Off to Creswick/Ballarat for an awesome hard-core caching weekend with my good mate iamapom (Carl). We drove down the laneway and parked close to GZ. I hopped out with no GPS and made the quick find using geo-sense. Signed the log and replaced. This place must be crawling with kids. Shows that the camo is well done as it is clearly not muggled. This cache formed a part of a massive day trip with Kellyhaunts and Starruby, covering over 700km.
Thanks to a good clue I stopped the 4x4 right next to the cache. Kellyhaunts was about to get out of the car when I said he should try to grab it out the window. Turns out it was an easy park and grab. First one I think TFTC

Another find with C@H and Kellyhaunts on our 750 km roundtrip caching day, visiting hard-to-reach and infrequently visited caches, finishing with a latenight 300 km dash for 8 FTFs!
Would have to call this one a REACH & GRAB. Didn't leave the car!

Too cold and wet to bother searching for this one for long - we'll have to come back when the weather is better.

Found this one on our Ballarat three day caching blitz with Purpledreamer.
This one was a complete spin out, Purpledreamer found the cache pretty quick, we all jumped back into the car to sign the log, as it was 11pm and cold outside, next thing dogs started barking and a fence was rattling, Purpledreamer yelled out "LOCK THE DOORS......LOCK... THE %$#@*&^ DOORS....!!!, SOMEONE IS OUTSIDE COMING TO GET US", well the doors were locked pretty quick and a window was wound down just a little to let the guy know we were not here to pinch his car,( as some one tried to pinch it last night)this was a scary part of the blitz but funny all the same.
Many thanks for the cache highrod and a high light to the weekend.

Found while in Ballarat with Lostmonster&Co for a 100 blitz. This cache was actually a highlight of our weekend. After I had found the cache and we where sitting in the car signing the log listening to the dog barking loudly,we heard huge banging noises which we then realized was a man jumping the garage door to make sure we werent robbers! It was pretty freaky at the time but we laughed about it after and all weekend.

Signed the log and chatted to the dog.

Completed at 1325hrs after tackling your nearby cache. A motorist neighbour thought we looked a little suspicious so we didn't even try for a find! Old Skool is a very neat hide and no one spoilt our fun. TNLNSL Thanks highrod
No go.. but I guess after 9 months of not caching I am rather rusty!!!! Will come back!!!
We looked for this cache for a few minutes withour success. We were about to leave when one of us noticed the cache in the open, in the drain. As a result, there was moisture in the container but the log was dry. If may not stay dry because the plastic bag containing the log had a large split down one side. Some maintenance is required. We placed the cache in an appropriate hide where our GPS indicated GZ should be.TFTC highrod.
Turned this one into a driveby at 5:35pm after a long lunch with friends in Ballarat, and a walk around the lake to help the digestion. The water level is even higher than it was 3 weeks ago so the couple of lakeside caches that eluded us then were still not accessible.

I spotted this one first at 3:15pm with the Karate Kids. Wow! a brand new log! I came to school here from 1954 - 1960, learned to swim in the pool, marched up the stairs to Mrs King's grade 3 while the boys played the drums, even got chosen a few times to walk up to the butchers in Ascot st to pick up her meat for her! Went over to Smith's corner shop to buy licorice blocks at lunchtime! Bought pasties at the Eyre street corner shop where the lady would poke her thumb into the middle and fill it with tomato sauce! My, how did we survive! This was close to my Grade 4 room...Sputnik went up when I was in grade 4! When we left they taught us the old tear jerker: "We will honour yet the school we knew, the best school of all"! It's good to see it's still in good nick and useful because they were great years! So, guess I'm a tad longer in the tooth than you but TFTC highrod.
This cache is in bad need for some new logging pages, sorry but we no have any on us this trip, we left all emergency logs at home
A nice easy drive by, needs a log sheet though...
Left pathtag to show that we have been here as there was nowhere to sign the FULL log.
