Never got a chance at this one as no sooner had we pulled up when the muggle from hell came out abusing us. Thankfully some very quick and soothing words from my caching buddy allowed us to escape but I would never go back to this one! He was VERY Threatening and I was quite frightened.
This cache has been disabled due to an unfortunate encounter with a nearby resident.
Spent a long time in the scorching heat trying to find this one. Muggle neighbour nearby. GPS was sending us in a spin. Not sure what side of the alley? Will return another day when traveling through Ballarat.
Thankfully no muggle neighbours came out to see what we were doing, as it took a while to locate this one! Finally got it just as frustration was setting in. Thanks for the cache... these alleyways are a life unto themselves.
Suscoe and Sister were out for a day's caching in Ballarat.
It was a delightful day, a little bit cloudy and a gentle breeze.
This was find number twenty for us today.
Well this is the third visit here, no luck before due to various reasons.
Today the gods were smiling and the cleverly hidden cache was found after the third bark from something very large nearby.
Thanks to highrod for this cache, it kept us coming back to Ballarat, a nice thing to do!

Great spring day, thought we would find this and the other nearby when visiting friends.
Abandoned search and kept walking past GZ, barking dogs and another property with gate open and working in back yard. Will return on a different day.

Our second visit as there were very loudly barking dogs. Approached from the other direction this time. Geodad picked this one up. Good camo! Thanks for the hide.
# 297 - after having a bit of trouble with the other not too far away, we had I it all worked out this to e around! TFTC high rod
Found this one in the early hours of Saturday morning, I've looked for this one before but the location of the container eluded me, but, luckily not this time

First place I looked but the camo did me and found on the second look about 5 mins later. Tftc
Love this little back ally road thingo (yes thingo is a technical word).
This quick easy cache was a good one to collect on the way home from a local caching event.
TFTC (sorry for the quick log, definitely hit logged out today)

After a successful Friday evening to start off the “Ballarat Cache Smackdown” with 34 finds on the first day the Saturday was always going to be a day of superhuman effort. It started early with a run heading west and south, only to finish the day and night with a run to the Northwest and North. A great day was had by all because there was some good 4WDing and the weather held out for the day with only one notable shower. A total of 98 caches were collected today, and it shows you how quickly a cache can be located with so many searchers. This cache was one we did not attempt. Given the recent logs and DNF's with previous finder's present it looks like this one needs maintenance or archiving.
Mmmm...we had no luck with this one, feel we checked all the possibilities so maybe the bird has flown.
We couldn't find this one today. Maybe next time. We looked for about 10 minutes with no love from the GPS or caching gods.

After not finding this one after a thorough search, came back with someone that had found it previously, and they are sure it is gone. Definitely not where it was, and couldn't find it anywhere else. This one needs checking and/or replacing we think.
Came and found it with my sister (who was a premium member in) June, now that I'm a premium member, I went and retrieved it too! TFTCSL
In town from sydney visiting my sister who is just around the corner from the cache, thought i would try and grab a find but we only had a couple minutes to spare before sending my partner and her friend back on the train to melbourne.
No luck, but maybe i'll have more of a chance through the week.

sneaky hide and a good one to be my number 600th find, it took a little bit to locate but found it eventually. Loved the "Natural" Cameo. I can see why the knees of your pants would have been ripped I am guessing there would have been plenty of skin missing as well. TFTC
Oh, doh! Not that hard once the GPS settled. I would have had a bit if fun out here as a kid like Aaron!
A little bit of searching around until the GPS settled and then we had this one in hand.
Thanks highrod

08/10/2011 23:03 DNF: Off to Creswick/Ballarat for an awesome hard-core caching weekend with my good mate iamapom (Carl). Had luck with the close by Old School cache so hoped to win at this one as well. Evidently the natural camo beat us despite my neat torches. We must have spent a good half hour here, Even admired the remains of a Combi van. - David
Wandered down this interesting little lane and looked in a few likely spots before locating the cache. I liked the camo on the container. Thanks highrod for the cache.
This cache formed a part of a massive day trip with Kellyhaunts and Starruby, covering over 700km.
Took our time to locate this one. We where happy once it was found. We where not ready for a DNF yet.

Mammoth day out with fellow geo-cachers Starruby & C@H
This one took a little bit more time than usual to find due to the neat camouflage. Obviously a great deal of effort went into this beauty.

Another find with C@H and Kellyhaunts on our 750 km roundtrip caching day, visiting hard-to-reach and infrequently visited caches, finishing with a latenight 300 km dash for 8 FTFs!
Amazing building around this town. This one a little but still important piece of the history of the place - even if it doesn't have a plaque! Loved the camo. TFTC

Find number 15 of 21 in Ballarat today. Picked this one up quickly and was making note of it in the car as an unhappy dude came out of his garage nearby. Made a speedy exit, thanks highrod.

We found your other cache near the aforementioned paint shop yesterday, but this one wasn't revealing itself today. We'll have to come back when the weather is better. We found the narrow roadways at the back of these properties quite intriguing - maybe the lanes used by the night cart men in days long gone by[?]

I couldn't find this cache on my last attempt, it was at night and the owner of the garage next to the cache came out and harrassed me >:( I returned in daylight and tried to be a bit more quiet. The find took a while, but I'm glad that I could strike this one off my list.

Found w Jellynelle as she visited Ballarat. But she's not premium. But she did buy me the membership. Guess what I'm giving her for her birthday. TFTC.
Found this one on our way to Ballarat for a three day caching blitz with Purpledreamer.
Nice quick find with no muggles about today.
Many thanks for the cache.

Thanks for the cache. Sorry about stirring up the neighbourhood dogs.
As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.
I should always read logs before wasting my time chasing non existant caches!

Out with my Geosons and Team Honeysucker today after the Event in Ballarat.
However as the previous logs we should have read the notes before going to a cache that is not there.
Team Honeysucker had done this before and confirmed it has been muggled.

Tried to find this two times, first time a car started driving down the lane and we had to move our car.
After finding Old Skool nearby, we walked back to this lane to give a more thorough look.
Didn't seem to help though. Used the hint, but am unsure if we were at the right one.
No matter will have to try this again the next time we're back in Ballarat.
Thanks highrod for the cache.

RedPaw64 searched for this cache but was unable to find it. Based on the hint I would have thought I was in the right spot. As it was really hot when I looked for this cache, I may have been a little sunstroked well thats my story and i'm sticking to it. I will be back to check this one out again.
Wandered down from the 'old school' cache and completed this one. Thanks again.
Small hands come in handy for all soprts of things

Parked the car right in front of cache. Great place to hide. Watch for cars. Signed the log, TFTC.
We found our 7th Highrod cache at 9:15pm as the 39th of 40 on our Ballaratatattat Tour V in company of Backpaqer. Shhhhh, we're hunting caches. Only found with help from the hint. Thanks for the cache from D B-A.
We found your house, and your cache, as well as three different types of barking dog at the quiet hour of 6:30pm. Nice hide. We made it a bit more difficult by not using the torch. Thanks for the cache.
Had just done old skool and hit nearest in gps. Hadn't read anything or looked at map so drove off following arrow with junior geo navagating. Drove around in huge circle to end up nearly exactly where we started. Another nice quick find.
Find # 149 @ 17:15 Walked straight down the lane from the "Old Skool" for a relatively easy find, once I read the clue that is. SL TFTC
2nd find of the day and 1960th total find at 13:35.
Could call this a drive by, but maybe walk by is a more appropriate description.
Took: Nothing
Left: Nothing (Screwdriver wouldn't fit)

What a fascinating social history lesson. Yes we remember these activitities really well. We found it interesting that each regular block in this part of Ballarat, was essentially divided into four smaller blocks by two intersecting lanes.
TNLN .. SL .. Thanks for the hunt highrod.

My two other companions had previously found this cache but fortunately Rob came with me to make this a quick and easy find after our escapades at another cache nearby. Signed quickly and bolted back to the car.
Had to employ a bit of anti-muggle disguise by pretending to unload the boot before finding this one; after the muggles had disappeared the cache was an easy find. TFTC.
I like these old laneways around town, its always interesting to look at some of the older buildings around.
Found at 1451hrs, no swaps today.
This makes 14 caches so far on our ballarat mission!!
