Immediately after the fires I could definitely see the issue with this container.
I am still trying to source a Hi-Lift jack to extricate the container, and salvage it.
My apologies on my slackness.

10-Nov-19
Burn-off in the immediate area!
Due to overwhelming fires in the immediate area, this will be disabled til Ground Zero is ready for further searching. That is, when rain has allowed some regrowth.

19-Oct-19
We found this cache stuck fast under a fallen tree. The cache doesn’t look in bad nick considering the weight on it but we couldn’t budge it. We suggest a shovel is required.

17-Aug-19
Easy find amongst all the rubbish. thank you cookie.

17-Jul-19
Quick find after the 150 meter from the tip entrance. Must agree with previous comments regarding access along the road - very close to fast moving vehicles. Not geokid friendly. TFTC

06-Jul-19
Very dangerous due to changed terrain from recent roadworks have messaged cache owner regarding this. Not good for kids as is.

06-Jul-19
Be careful

04-Jul-19
On the way back from a little caching foray, we pulled over here and began looking around. I found a likely hide and heard a welcome metallic chunk and the container was soon uncovered. Thanks for the cache

04-Jul-19
Went to visit Harry King. Got a tip off that some of his gnolls had been cleaning up more than the buckets. You have to hand it to the man, he’s grown wealthy taking away the waste of the city and selling it on.

Searched every tree with piles of lantana to no avail

14-Sep-18
Left home this morning around 06:00 heading for Knorrit Flat camp ground, in preparation of tomorrows event Riverfire. Decided to grab some numbers on a little trail I have prepared from the hwy to camp ground. This is my first cache at 09:48. A few delays along the way, like breakfast, and a short detour into Taree proper, to pick up some items I had forgotten, and thought of on the lonely drive up. Difficult to park right at GZ, so I am glad I pulled up 130M short. A quick find after the gps warmed to the area. A nice surprise at the container. Lucky the Lantana has died off. TFTC.

**# 20992** Found on our 2018 mega adventure to ACT, NSW, QLD and beyond. Wink
A fine sunny Autumn morning for a drive around in Taree again.
Only a few muggles around today and a few more good hides. Wink
Found this using the other co-ords supplied and on the correct side of the road
at S31° 56.903 E152° 26.048, and the listing will need an update.
Thanks for the cache Grahame Cookie,

Found today with littlemissleft and Tilly

This cache has been on my radar for a while now so what better way than to start 2018 than with a Cookie cache.

Awesome cache and hopefully the first of many for this year.

Thanks for the cache

26-Sep-17
We are having an overnight at Taree on the way home. Set up at the showgrounds.
Our trip mostly took us out into the country side south of the town & then returning via Wingham.
Such a variety of types found today.
We used Nurse Hayleys coordinant to find this unloved piece of trash & Treasure.
Thanks for placing this cache Grahame Cookie

21-May-17
Managed to get to the zone, but could not find the cache.

03-Apr-17
It was dark, it was late, I looked both sides of the road, I gave up.

15-Sep-16
TFTC, luckily I read the prev logs. I used Hayleys info and new co-ords and after digging around thru old stormwater debris a found was had.

29-May-16
Found in the company of pprass
This was seriously a coincidence, we were meant to be here that's for sure.
we pulled up on the side of the road and Peter stated " what's that?" I looked and there was a cache- opened it up yep its the cache! How on earth did it get here? And is it in the correct area... Nope!!!!

The cache was found 27metres away from GZ on the opposite side of road, possibly due to the road works that are currently taking place-CO aware placed the cache in a suitable location and of course safe from harm Smile

Updated cords:
S 31 56.903
E 152 26.048

18-Jan-16
Not Found no cache there[Time to Find: 4 min]

23-Jul-15
We were expecting the usual hide for this location, not so! This cache won't be found by accident, it's hard enough to find when you're looking for it. TFTC Grahame Cookie.

12-Apr-15
Very accurate coordinates, which was fortunate as I doubt I would have spent any time searching about here. It's lantana heaven. The cache is very well stocked but I had no swaps so was content to sign and move on. The smell of crushed lantana pervaded the car for quite a while after.
Thanks again Grahame Cookie.

10-Feb-15
The old cache 'treasure chest' was thrown out before I went on holidays so then I just to try and create another. Not quite the one that I had hoped for, but it should last - just waiting for the glue to set.

09-Dec-14
The cache container is almost ready, and now to prepare the GZ. A lot of regrowth, so will see if any tidying up needs to be done so there is less ticks.

31-Oct-14
What I had glued together wasn't quite ready, so it will be another 2 weeks + before I will be back again.

19-Sep-14
With a major accident beside the cache last weekend I will reassess the position of the cache and replace the container while at it.

03-Jul-14

19-Apr-14
Found with 'the neighbs', they took the high road and I took the low road to this one. Found cache full of water and the lid was not attached. No dry log to sign so took photos to claim a find. Looks like the recent rain made its way right through this area.

Got to the culvert from the pathway, just needed a chainsaw to get anywhere near gz. Very overgrown, needs a clean up Sad

24-Mar-13
Lantana getting a bit wild, interesting plants growing

18-Mar-13
Having riding past here so MANY times I thought it was eventually time to drop my and grab this cache to fill another calendar day.
Come down part of the way "On Granny", then used the hint of other finders to go closer to the roadway. Tho I couldn't recommend it for geokids.
Soon found the well hidden, and a bit guarded interesting cache container. The handle is missing, but just makes it look a bit more authentic.
Will come back a leave a DVD when I have finished watching it.
TFTC Cookie. Hope to see you on the trails some time.

17-Mar-13
Found at the concluding stages of an early morning MTB ride around the Kiwarrick State Forrest. Easy to access if you walk (or ride) down the road shoulder. All good at GZ. Many thanks GC

Too much lantana around it to get close enough. Maybe another time.

We had been wanting to do a caching run around 'Wingham and Taree and today with The Drovers we achieved our goal of finding a great selection of caches. Lovely scenery in the rural areas made it a most pleasant day.

Our first cache, great spot. Latana not too big an issue now and site is pretty clean of rubbish.
Good instructions for parking. Much safer to cross the road and walk than trying to park closer.
Well stocked we made a swap.

Operation: To Grandfolks Place I Go!

Cache Hunter: Zalgariath of Sydney
ICD^ Location Number: 061210#17/27
Mission Status: SUCCESS #1451
Hunt Time: Approach 5mins – GZ 5mins
Muggle Factor: 2 (Low)
GAFF^^: 1 (Unassisted)
Swaps: Nil
TB Visited: Jumbuck Finger
Cache Status: Good Condition

Report: This cache confused me Sad I found the place to park safely. Had a lovely short walk through some great bushland along a nice track... then got ploughed into a mucky, rubbishy culvert full of trash and MORE LANTANA to hunt for the cache?! On top of that the container is AWESOME and well stocked... so my ponder is why with such a top container and so much great bush around that could easily accommodate a hide near the good track is the GZ where it is dangerously close to the road amongst all the trash? Maybe it wasnt as bad when the cache was hidden but perhaps a move could be thought about to turn this ok cache into the fantastic one it could be Very Happy

Every now and then, some caches need to see the light of day as they haven't been seen for months or even years. Even if it was a DNF a few times you might just get lucky.
We had a very eventful day covering a wide area in and around the Taree district great day out ..TFTC

2272.

I drove past the area, saw that the GPS said the cache was only a couple of metres off the road then turned around down the road and came back to the parking area for mountain bikes. Since it looked so close to the road I decided to follow the cache page directions thinking there must be a good reason why you have to go all the way around.

Once I had bush bashed the 70 m to the cache I realised that I had to be on the road side of the lantana to access the cache anyway or I would be shreaded by it.

Have I mentioned I have a pet hate of Lantana and there was plenty to be seen.

Once I got up to the road, I found the cache straight away, logged my find then walked the relaxing 70m straight down the road to the car. I wouldn't recommend walking down the road with kids but if I was to the the cache again I wouldn't be bashing through lantana if the other option was walking on the road.

Thanks Grahame Cookie for the cache.

No bush bashing for me. Rode past, then past again and parked up the road. Wandered down, and thought Bugger that, but in the end, an easy find at 1645 hrs. Number 11 for today.

Found at 4.30pm GAFF3. We spent ages looking on the wrong side of the road and then yielded and headed to the side that we thought it would be on when we first arrived. What a great treasure chest - thought that we would never see it though.
Thanks Grahame Cookie.
