Quick find after a wander down the hill. Lots of cyclists around today. All good at GZ and TFTC. Greetings from Wellington New Zealand.
Noting the last visit by others that resulted in a DNF, I came armed with a replacement cache just in case. We took a shortcut from the top trail and descended through the bush and dense shrubs on the slope, and I was surprised/amazed to find a bituminised road going through the forest - I don't know the area, so I suspect it has been grouped and protected as a recreation area?At GZ, we searched around the logs and logical hiding spots, but no cache was found. Even with a previous finder who was in my presence, and just like Bigred02, we couldn't locate what should have been a quick find, so there was plenty of confidence to suggest that this cache was missing. I messaged the CO to seek permission to replace their cache on their behalf, and consequently, I replaced it with a preform that can be found camouflaged and on top of the large/obvious stump. I am hoping that this one lasts for some time yet! Thanks [Scrub Bull](https://coord.info/PR1FFPH) for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance. It was nice to have found this oldie 07/2007 hidden cache, of which is one of Queensland's 1000 oldest yet active geocaches.----------Today, I joined [chamad](https://coord.info/PRPP06G) and travelled north to Cooroy to attend [AtTheLakeHouse](https://coord.info/PRT08AC)'s [5th Birthday Gig](https://coord.info/GCAKWYN) event. After visiting the area around Cooroy Mountain, we proceeded towards Mt Tinbeerwah, and after admiring the views at the lookout, we took the various detours within the vicinity to grab the less-visited geocaches. We then hopped across the Cooroy - Noosa Road, and travelled along Sunrise Road, stopping for a few walks within Tinbeerwah Forest Reserve, and escaping for a late lunch at Tewantin. As it approached late afternoon, we utilised our remaining time around Cooroy, which included a few oldies adjacent to the M1 highway. A terrific day out and about, exploring the Noosa shire!
I have found this one previously and came to help BigRed02 but couldn’t find anything
Big day of mountain biking allowed us to find this one, the hill climb is great!

Second time visiting Tewantin national park to mountain bike ride nice excuse to stop on the pedal up. All wet inside. Thanks to the person that popped a new sheet and clippy inside. TFTC.
Scrub Bull I found your cache Hill Climb on 17/8/2022, 11:25 am. This is my find 3955 and find # 2 today. Found it with the help of the hint. Logbook soaked, placed a piece of paper to sign in a snap lock bag. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
Oh, I LOVED this cache. What a great little hill climb. Now this is why we cache!
We were up at Noosa, grabbing old caches and admiring the views. This cache fulfilled both requirements! It was a nice walk, relatively cool, without the hum of traffic or annoying humans.
Good to have another old cache in the bag. And this is why we hunt old caches, because gosh darn it, they are in such amazing spots. Good job, scrub bull... good job.

For a few hours today, oz_bean_counter and I are meandering around the general Noosa area, grabbing older geocaches and enjoying being outside. High on my list this year is the last few Scrub Bull geocaches left for me. And for our last find of the day, I put in a firm order to grab one. Low on time, this seemed easiest. Though, "easy" and "Scrub Bull" in the same sentence is a recipe for an assumption that will generally lead to disaster.
As it turns out though, this was a decent call to make. Navigating on-road, we came to a good place to park at the top of the hill. I immediately pondered how good scootering all the way down would be! But today in the cold weather, just two feet and a heartbeat for us.
Bitumen! See that? Bitumen on the way to a Scrub Bull hide. Not lantana or creeks or dense bush or mud bogs. This was wonderfully easy going. We wandered onwards and downwards, throughly enjoying being away from people and being brought to a place we'd never otherwise visit.
My phone counted down and we navigated to a likely place. And then, a quick find. I love the bias that leaves the best of old geocaches and here, the original logbook and container live on. Within 2 days of 15 years old!
This is why I love geocaching. Away from people and the simple pleasure of enjoying the outdoors. About 14:30, a deadline to be home for and traffic to contend with, we headed back up the hill and called it the end of this day geocaching. Thanks for this adventure too, Scrub Bull

Found it, the road was closed but we cut through the bush to get there.
Needs maintenance as it has a lot of moisture in it and getting damaged.

Another great day of caching, full of fun, lots of laughs and antics, and another big haul of target caches. At the recent QOGM event, a tentative booking for a paddle up Noosa way was made by Esmiley. Willis007 and myself jumped at the chance to grab a few target caches that we needed for loops and challenge caches. We even got Nayfee out for the long day to join us. Over the last few days, a plan was hatched; we first started on Lake MacDonald to finish off some paddle caches. From there it was a drive around picking up, well more like cleaning up oldies and trads as we went along. My main target was “Traditional” as I had been here twice before and never succeeded (more to follow on that one). A few more around Noosa way and then down the highway to finish in Peregian Beach area. Truly, a fantastic day and one that goes into the books as a fun adventure day.
Working our way east we had a list of finds to grab, this was one of those. The logs were signed and caches replaced as found. This was a little walk as the road has been barracked off at the top which is a shame as it would be a lovely drive around with some great views. We made the find easily, thanks for bringing us here.

I had the pleasure to join Chamad, Willis007 and E_Smiley for a full days expedition on the stunning Sunny Coast. The morning started off with a quick paddle on Lake MacDonald than slowly but surely we made our way towards Noosa than south down the coast. The goal for the day was to grab any Q1000 caches we could and a bunch of other caches in the region that would go towards several challenges we're working on.
What a fabulous day with great company, I guess you can't complain about the weather either, it was a perfect day to be outdoors. We had a blast!
Thank you for the cache and thank you for giving us a reason to stop by today.

A plan was put together for a day of Sunshine Coast caches, our crew of E_Smiley, Nayfee and Captain chamad set out for a paddle in Lake McDonald then some land based caches across to Noosa and south towards Coolum.
We collected a great selection of caches and enjoyed a stunning warm Queensland day.
Thank you to the cache owners for taking the time to place and maintain these caches for us to enjoy.

Walking down the middle of a road was just flat out freaky. We knew no cars were coming but when you hear one in the distance the first thing you do is dive for the footpath.
Damn some of the advice my parents gave me. They told me to not play in the middle of the road because it was too dangerous. They also told me that eating the crusts on my sandwiches would put hair on my chest. Thankfully Mrs Woodyrothwell didn’t eat her crusts as a kid because the last thing I would want is to go in for a motorboat and end up with a stubble rash.
There were a few keen cyclists heading up the hill, but none going down. What suckers for punishment! Don’t they know that resting your seat in the saddle is the only reason to wear Lycra. There was a bit of water in the cache but we tipped it our before walking in the middle of the road again. tftc

We are staying in Eumundi with our caravan for a few days. Out and about to explore the area and caching.
Log very wet. Needs replacement. Unfortunately we had none with us.

After a paddle up and down the Mary River this morning, time for a few on dry land. Targeting a few of the older ones around nearby. This was a nice little leg stretch and a good quick find. But now for the rest of the jog in - getting a good workout today.
Thanks Scrub Bull for entertaining me at this location.

I nice easy walk on a wide road. Cache is holding water. I have tipped out as much as possible. Log book is mouldy but I managed to find a spot to make my mark TFTC
That was pretty cool finding bees out here! Have seen a few tops too today but the ain’t staying still for long with the geodogs on lead tftc
Found and signed. Cache a little wet, log is damp and getting mouldy. Dried it out the best I could. Beware the bees.
A quick and easy find. Although the bee tree almost found me before I found it . My sense of smell must be off but the geokid smelt the honey quite strongly. Doing a maintenance run and knew this one was damaged so have replaced it with a new sistema, log book and pen. Will dry out original book and return it. Container replaced exactly where original was.
Searched high and low, found 3 different places that were apparently a few metres from GZ only they were 10-15 metres apart. Found the bee tree which smelled delicious but no cache in the tree close by or anywhere else we looked. I’ll be watching to see if anyone else can find it and then give it another go
We did a nice walk to this cache alas the container is in a sad state of repair. The side is missing and the log book was floating in its bag. Signed a piece of paper but think it will go to mush quickly. The adventure was good getting to it though. TFTC
Been meaning to pick this one up for a while, approached gz and was drawn to a spot I would hide a cache and bingo! Cache itself is damaged and need replacing and log book wet but managed to sign! Tftc
Parked at the top of the hill and bush bashed to GZ, a bit steep in places but enjoyed the walk. Cache container broken and could do with replacing by the next cacher. Log very damp but just about signable. TFTC Scrub Bull
Lid was off and was super wet. Too bad as there aren’t any salvageable trades. Off to find the next one.
Just another Wednesday wander with my amazing geowife KaleidoscopeCass knocking off a few more caches in the Noosa area. Happy to say this cache met all the requirements for a successful find! Tftc!
Enjoyed the glorious late afternoon stroll down the hill to find this cache with geohubby WallabyTim. It felt like a world away from everywhere as we went from houses and rural living to an enchanted path, littered with leaves as though was never used. In reality, that was just from the recent rain and wind, and we shared the road with a few cyclists but it still felt dreamy to me. TFTC in this beautiful location
Was expecting a little more of a climb into the bush, but surprisingly found it pretty close to the road. Easy, thanks!
Walk to GZ and spotted a likely hiding spot. There was a few insects which prevented one of our retrieval team from accessing the container. Luckily the container was retrieved and the log signed. Thank you for the cache.
I have tried for this cache once before, but being the weekend of the "Hill Climb" we gave up. Today I managed to collect it on my way down the hill.
Thanks Scrub Bull

Find #517
Having a mini-caching adventure; MinkosDes and myself were heading north and grabbing some caches along the way. This little sucker popped up and we decided to quickly head on down and grab this badboy.
After giving way to many bicyclists we started down the hill on foot. It was a rather nice for a walk today and we both remarked how awesome it would be to watch the race that happens here. We quickly had the cache in our sights and signed the log book.
** the log book is a little damp but still writable.
Thanks for the cache Scrub Bull

This Geocache has annoyed me for quite some time as every time that I have attempted it, there has been something happening on the track. So today we thought that we would check it out and try our luck.
Lucky we were, as there was only the normal Sunday riders out on the track and they didn't really take notice of us. After a short walk we were where we needed to be and found what we were looking for.
This Geocache was part of planned/unplanned adventure held by Cassow11ry and myself today. We had decided yesterday that if the weather permitted, and we were both free, we might go on a Sunday adventure. After the heavy rain we had all last night, I really did not expect that the weather was going to be favourable when waking this morning.
Luckily, we awoke to find the that the GeoGods were happy with us and perfect Geocaching weather was provided; The clouds were keeping the temperature down, the wind was keeping the humidity at bay and the sun was shaded. So our adventure was all systems go and off we went with no true goal, except to head North.
Thanks for the cache Scrub Bull. The cache was a little damp though it's nothing to worry about.

Nice walk up the hill from the bottom carpark , if you don't like walking uphill it's easy from the top .
Found this one today but bee warned there is a BEE hive within a metre of this cache in an old tree trunk and yes I thought I could sneak in slowly and sign the log with out getting stung which didnt work out that way. Wow I forgot how painful a BEE sting is. Other wise a nice walk through the forest. The Rankine's.
I've been wanting to get this one for a long time. Every time I come here is only for the Hill Climb, I only remember coming down Gyndier Drive carless when I was a muggle. 300m later my 42nd find!
On the hill climb course for Noosa ProAm Street Louge event. Had to grab this one while here. Wild beehive in vertical treetrunk close-by.
Good sized cache that needs swaps. Sorry did not bring caching kit. TNLN. TFTC.
p.s. the logbook is damp.

After making a find on another nearby cache this was the next up. There was no easy way to get from one to the other, it was either taking the long way or the direct way. Today I decided on the more direct route, which was far from easy but it was doable.
Soon I was on the road below, and followed that along a little, soon spotting a familiar logo painted on that of "Garmin". Anyway not the reason I was here, I soon arrived near GZ and evaluated the options, but realised no climbing was needed. Soon with cache in hand, another lid that had not been replaced properly (which I am surprised with such a container). Anyway got my name in the log and all replaced before heading onwards, back to the car. Again the hard way, and a lot of huffing and puffing later I was back at the car.

Noticed this on the map and decided to detour on our way to Lake Cootharaba this afternoon.
Parked at the top of the hill and walked down the nicely maintained road with glimpses of the ocean.
Turned into the bush at an appropriate spot and found the cahce perched safely in the hide.
Took giraffe, left Bruce domino.

Had an appointment with a specialist in Noosa earlier to day, afterwards left some time for my favourite pastime, having found a couple caches at the other end of the State Forest, thought I'd have a go at this one.
Very surprised at the ease of access, compared to other Scrub Bull's caches, this one must have been at the end of a long day's hiding caches.
All cool at the cache.
On the way out met a couple of young ladies out walking their dogs, had to pat one didn't I, one thing led to another, mentioned Geocaching, Beatrice had heard of it, explained it a bit more to them on the way back to the cache.
After my log there is a muggle log of Beatrice and Ellen.
I hope they take it further.
