Looking for a full day of caching, I packed my car and headed up the coast to camp at Duppers place so we could make an early start. We found somewhere safe to park and made our way to the cache. Happy with a quick find here.I found your cache, Cooroora Creek Cache today. Signed as ShaDup.Scrub Bull, TFTC, TFTH & TFTSF
Shazzar66 and I had a list of Pomona caches to find, after climbing Mount Cooroora. This was one.We parked across the road and made our way, past an abandoned and broken beach umbrella towards GZ. On approach, the cache was spotted, however it was full of water. We emptied out the water, took the sodden log sheet from the container and did our best to make our mark on the log sheet. We signed our team name, ShaDup.The next cacher will probably need to replace the log sheet with a dry one, as unfortunately we didn't have a replacement with us at the time. Thanks, Scrub Bull, for the cache placement.
After many directional movement and changes. We Gotya!!!!Cannot sign the log as the container was open and filled with waterThanks for the fun seek
Very wet and trees send you in circles with gos signal - your to Aussie from SA - with KayDey
Now I understand the fork hint. Track becoming overgrown. Mozzies are around and will make quick retreat
Commencing an anticlockwise Cooloola sweep rescuing old caches from their retirement homes. This oldie alluded me last time and as the number of confirmed mozzie kills climbed into the 100s, left the area disappointed while there was still blood pumping through the body. Today the mozzies were on a sabbatical with only a hand full buzzing around. Took advantage of a small opening on offer and got the job done. TFTC and for keeping this oldie alive Scrub Bull.
On entering this area we remembered we had searched for this one years ago to no avail. Today it was a quick find of an anvil idly replaced Chappy! Thanks for keeping an oldie alive! Fave point as rather an interesting and surprising location.
A pleasant little walk through this patch of bush. As I approached GZ the arrow decided to swing around but luckily I spied the cache from my position so all was good. TFTC
Scrub Bull I found your cache Cooroora Creek Cache on 2/4/2024, 2:20pm. This is my find 6494 and find # 7 today. Parked at the suggested coordinates and after a short walk arrived at GZ for a quick and easy find with the help of the hint. Thanks to Davidwazza for replacing. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
Found what could be part of the cache as per previous logs but could not find the actual cache itself
After walking up from the main road down the tracks, we had a good search around GZ, and we didn't have any luck with locating this cache. Given this geocache is one of Queensland's 1000 oldest geocaches, we decided to replace the cache since it felt likely it had gone. The cache is a small preform container, and we cable-tied it to a nearby tree (refer to photographs attached). Thanks Scrub Bull for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.----------During this trip, I travelled with [Freddo](https://coord.info/PR8C14) (who was visiting from Adelaide, SA) and we visited Maryborough for an extended weekend.Friday was the drive north, which involved the full day with stops in Nambour, Eumundi, Pomona, Gympie, Tiaro, and Maryborough, and highlights included the *Evil* series and the *Big Aussie Day Bash* series. The weekend's two days prioritised the *Jolly Brolly Folly* (JBF) series and *Geocaching 101* series, with a Sunday afternoon trip to Utopia Falls. Finally, Monday's itinerary included a few last geocaches that were in town, and we then returned home via Beaver Rock, Maaroom, and Tin Can Bay.A fun and rewarding trip with great company and friends, and we were rewarded with good weather throughout our trip.Today, [Freddo](https://coord.info/PR8C14) and I commenced the drive north with a few [Freddo](https://coord.info/PR8C14) targeted D-T geocaches in the Sunshine Hinterland, so we stopped in Woombye and Nambour, before continuing our trip north. I had a targeted Eumundi geocache to find (as it was a non-market day today), and we then spent a couple of hours visiting the *Evil* series nearby to Pomona. After having a bakery lunch in Gympie, we continued north and stopped in Tiaro, and then progressively stopped more as we neared Maryborough. We spent a few hours finding a few geocaches in the *Big Aussie Day Bash* series, and then took a loop around Police Paddock Conservation Park. As the light faded, we caught up with [Liz and Bruce](https://coord.info/PR68BB).
Lovely creek trail. Cache replacement found.Freddo traveled north from deep south to catch up with friendly Liz and Bruce and the RV Home base crew. David Wazza provided a sturdy vehicle and we traveled in style. We had good weather. Not to hot. Not to rainy. Lovely one day and perfect the next. The caches were found in a blur of Which Is Next and Where Are We Going Now. Some caches were harder to find than others. Some caches we could see from the car. Regardless all caches were found in the last place we looked.I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count and winning that one hundred word diamond badge again. Somebody moved the goal posts. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs macro.Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun. Apologies for the generic part of the cache log. Won’t attempt this until confirmation it’s still there. Will put on my watch list.
No luck with this one. Lots of flood debris. Fear this one's no longer at its GZ
Out caching with the Tough Mothers (Bennyboppers and Lisylou). Searched everywhere and for ages. No luck for us
Searched and searched no luck we think it could be coveted by debris from the floods
Another trip up to the Sunshine Coast, found 11 traditional today. One of these caches was the main target for today, I needed it for a challenge cache.
Then I also pick up few oldies to.
I had lots of fun today.
Sorry for the generic log.

This was actually the last cache of thirteen i found today and oddly, backwards like, is the first one i'm logging digitally.
Camped in the showgrounds nearby, i rolled nearby at the end of the day and thought why not have a look now.
It was smooth sailing on a reasonably well tended path right near to gz (after i found the entrance) then it took me longer than i care to admit to finally come across it. Not buried or even hidden. Right out there. Invisibly apparently.
Thanks srub bull and whoever is maintaining these caches. Appreciated.

I wandered around in circles for a bit and can’t believe it took me so long to spot it. Thanks for the cache
Great parking coords were a good start. The path in and along was strangely strewn with debris, as if a flood has happened here recently.
Among all of that, the cache suddenly came into view, tied to a root. Well, that was easy!
Inside, everything is dry as a bone so TFTC. Almost a park and grab!

It looks like you wandering into middle of the forest but there’s actually a path!
Fabulous spot for a cache hide. Coongoola & Geodog found your cache today, 28 May 2021 1:20 pm , while enjoying another day out adding to our tally. TFTC Scrub Bull
Our main goal for the day was to see a movie at Pomonal. We did, and it was a brilliant experience.
After that, we came looking for this hide. It is a beautiful bit of forest that you walk through to get here. Under the trees, reception was a bit wobbly, so we searched a few minutes before it just about jumped at us: this is a lot bigger and sturdier than what we were looking for. Signed log and left. Thank you for bringing us here!

Parked on the main road ; it’s about a 3 minute walk in. Long grass and clearly there been water flowing through here quite recently.

Day 2 of our weekend geocaching adventure with RoddyC, hatzofff, Snickersallan and GrannySmith 1947 (and millie dog) and after kayaking along Cooloothin and Cooroibah Creeks, we are on our way to our accommodation for the night.
Stopped in Pomona to order dinner and with 15minutes before pickup, we just had to go and find one more cache.
Interesting location, and with 4 sets of eyes searching, found the cache hidden in its hide.
SL then returned as found.
Just in time to pick up dinner.

Just because an event was cancelled, doesn't mean we cancel our weekend. Now what can we do. Hire a boat and do some water caches. So off up the river.
Ordered dinner. Let's find a cache while food is being prepared. Happy that it was an easy find. Now IPS.
I would say the cache size has changed

Another fabulous day of water caching. Our group of five from yesterday's Maroochy River epic is now a good dozen. Target caches today are along two creeks: Cooloothin Creek to Lake Cootharaba, and Cooroibah Creek to Lake Cooroibah
The final cache for the day: #21. It was a pleasant early evening walk just before sunset. The grass is about knee high along the pathways. When we arrived at GZ we too wandered around in circles before finding the cache which is certainly larger than a Small. Now to collect our Pizzas for dinner.
Log signed and cache replaced as found on January 16, 2021. TFTC, Scrub Bull

A full morning out paddling with geo friends followed by a quick lunch then it was time to fill in a few slots in our grid with some solved puzzles.
Found this one with our group on our way home to our Airbnb, if it was a shark it would have bit me, walked right past it several times.

Very overgrown track...didn’t bring the machete so going to pass on this one today
new years day cache #4! took a while to find, was looking with dad from team Farket. we were looking in all the wrong places lol. great cache, TFTC!
Maiden voyage for our new campervan this weekend. Had a hoot of a time and picked up a few caches along the way
One of the easier Scrub Bull caches. Less bush bashing than I expected, once I went the correct way. TNLSSL TFTC!
I contacted GeoNayfee and said I was looking at doing the evil series of caches at Pomona and a couple as we passed. It’s an early morning trip as I want to be home by mid-afternoon, not a big day, but we are going to have to leave early. Yeah sounds good and with a leave pass granted we were off. A 4 am start for me and a pickup along the way saw us arrive in Pomona by 6.30 am. To keep my cache a day and my trad a day challenges going we picked up a couple along the side of the road first. A short stop for some breakfast and then we were off caching the evils or so we thought.
A wrong turn into the wrong part of the forest saw us doing some 4 wheel driving on some very turned up tracks and then, oh shoot, we were stuck. With all the rain and mud there was no way of getting up that hill in the clay…. 2 hours later with the ruts filled in and the centre mounds dug up, we finally got out, only to find the next issue ahead and then the next. 3 and a half hours later we were finally out and back on the right path. Hmm so much for the early caching day.
OK, then the day picked up and we were off collecting all 6 of the evil series and a few trads in the area as well. It was a fun filled day, I can see why the names of the caches came about, that landscape in certain parts was just pure evil. Plants that reached out and grabbed you, grass that was 6 foot tall, trees falling beside us, vines with 2 inch long thorns and then there was the walking in creek beds and water crossings; what an adventure.
All in all it was a good day, I think I made it home around 630 pm, hmm early day lol. Thank you for the puzzles and the caches, most are still in good condition with some needing a little attention of broken lids or damp log books. I have given 3 favourite points to certain caches, thank you.

Chamad got in contact with me yesterday to see if I had any plans for today, which I didn't, but I wasn't sure if my partner had anything planned so I had to double check with her since she likes to make plans at the last second, but luckily I got the all clear from her and was able to tag along with Chamad for an epic adventure up to Pomona. Huh, where the hell is that? I had to ask where that was because I've never heard of the place before, so I checked to see where we were going. "Wooow! That's a decent trek! But with most of the target caches being off road we decided to take Chamad's beast because my little Broom Broom wouldn't make it over a tiny pebble on a good day.
The day started extremely early and I'm NOT a morning person so it was rather difficult to get out of bed at that time (4:30am), but after some food and a decent sized coffee I felt more alive and ready for the day ahead. I meet Chamad at my local shopping centre, left my car and we made our way to Pomona.
Our target caches for the day were the Evil series and wow, they were evil, the whole area was evil. Getting bogged for several hours, walking through spider webs and getting whipped in the face by strange plants that cut up my face. Yeah.. It's an evil place that's for sure, we also picked up several trads along the way as we made our way around the area.
All in all, despite the blooded face and getting bogged it was a great day out today. At times it looked like it was going to rain, but thankfully it didn't, the tracks were already soaked with water, so we didn't really need anymore.
Thank you for placing these caches for us to enjoy. Some were more evil then others, but we thoroughly enjoyed the experience here today.

After a 4 hour climb of THE Mountain, Pprime Fangsoki and I stopped in town for lunch and I mentioned that I would like to put my name in the log book of this old cache before we left the area.
We parked on the road and Pprime and I headed in to find the cache. My legs were still feeling weak from the exertion of the morning and I struggled to walk the short distance to the cache. We searched all the normal places for some time before I looked elsewhere and spotted the cache. I would not call it a "small".

RACE DAY for Pomona King of the Mountain race, got up early and had breakfast at 6 am and went for a walk to tick the 2 nearest caches out while the team was still in bed, found a way in to the park but it did require me to construct some sort of deadwood bridge over the creek, once on the other side at GZ it took AGES for me to locate the cache, went through countless online logs and pictures to try and pinpoint it, about to give up when there it was, plain as day... how did I miss that so many times!!

Parked at the supplied coords and it was a pleasant stroll to find my favourite cache container. A few ants but all good with the cache. TFTC

Ammo tin located intact I like the security. A brisk early morning adventure. Just me the roos and other crawlies. Had to partly circumnavigate to find a dry entry point. Thankyou and cheers
Was left in plain sight and gutted of swaps. Now an ammo tin. Added all that we had and covered well. Entrance and parking place in photo.
Somehow missed logging this cache. It was a rare unfound cache in our local area and each time my geohubby WallabyTim and I drove past it was either too dark or we were wearing completely inappropriate clothing to be bushbashing. On a lovely day out with our neighbour and newby cacher, we were on our way home when I realised we would be passing this cache yet again. And of course, we had fading daylight. Undeterred we headed in, found the cache and used our phone torches to aid us back out. TFTC
Found while heading home with my amazing geowife KaleidoscopeCass and our neighbour Brigid... quick find once at Gz.. tftc!
Found on my trip Rockhampton to Canberra, after staying overnight at my cousins b&b.
Well I have to say I didn't enjoy that too much. After scaring some local roos I traipsed bare foot through swampy ground, mozzie swarms and spiders webs( hanging off every piece of greenery present) to find, thankfully, a well preserved cache. There's been an abundance of rain lately so probably not the best time to go hunting. Still there's a smiley at the end. Life's an experience. Tftc

This one was found by sheer good luck and not by the clue. It was lying tethered to its post in the open which is where it should be? Nonetheless we were pleased to spy it after almost giving up.
Sure did pick a hot weekend to hit the Noosa Trails at Kin Kin but had a lovely soak in Lake Carabawhatsit chased by icy cold beer and slept like a princess in my tent at Boreen Point.
Today I decided to introduce a few muggle buddies to caching but after a fail at a Pomona park the needle on the enthusiasm meter was dropping rapidly

Had a look from the road at this one some time ago and decided against the hunt because of the long grass - in the area again and thought I would try it this time because the geowife asked me if I was a man or a mouse!!! As it turned out - it was a nice walk to GZ and an easy find. TFTC Scrub Bull
Finally found a safe place to park. Beautiful stroll to cache. Took 20c coin Left green bead. TFTC.
Glad to have found it after so many DNF's have been logged. The cache was a bit bigger than a small clip lock container... The hint not so good but we spied something not natural to the bush which led us to the find. TFTC
snake heaven long grass which appeared to form a bed over water if one moved at a reasonable speed you didn't get your feet wet, unfortunately i became to slow and indeed paid the price. Then came the soft sticky mud which claimed my shoe, as i stopped and heaved on it to extricate it from the bog my other shoe started to sink. oh bugger!! finally dry land, well dryish wondered around at GZ for a short while but i had spent my enthusiasm getting here. oh well.
Searched carefully and saw lots of ground forks but no luck.Lots of debris around GZ from flash flooding earlier in the year .Could flood water have washed the cache from its hiding place??

This one not for those with snake phobias. Path is indistinct and very very overgrown. Clue did not help locate the cache though, good luck and a persitent partner worked .

We were in the Pomona area and this cache was the nearest to where we had parked so decided that it must be found.
After a walk through the bushy scrub and getting wet feet trying to cross the creek, the cache was found.
It is not as described in the description and was sitting out in the open with no cover whatsoever.
The log was signed and the cache hidden where I thought it should be. It is concealed better now and will be more difficult to find. It does not match the hint however.
I am concerned that if a large volume of water passes through, the cache could easily be washed away.
