Clever little hide on a beautiful Autumn morning. With our 16 year old driving on his L plates it was a slow drive but the scenery is so lovely it did not matter! Thanks JABS.

Easy find with GeoBikiechick after having lunch at the nearby pub.

Would highly recommend the food at the pub, especially the salmon and avocado salad or the grilled chicken salad.

Lovely spot. We had a great meal here the previous evening. Such lovely friendly people. Enjoyed the local caches and our time in the area. Just wish we had had more time to spend.

24-Oct-10
Out for a weekend's caching in Orange with Just a Cacher on a very wet weekend with some very wet dogs in tow. A Quick find on a wet and muddy day. SL TFTC

24-Oct-10
Out for a weekend's caching with Black Bunny. We could have chosen better weather - it rained and hailed and poured and there was thunder and lightning, and we got wet and muddy, and had no dry clothes to put on. On top of that, we took the dogs, so we had wet muddy dogs, with that distinctive wet dog smell, in the car all weekend as well. Black Bunny was very keen to get a few caches, as his average was dropping, whatever that means! I think we managed that, as he came home with a smile on his face.

not an easy cache for me
even with the help of a local family of lizards following me around and a river rat

29-Dec-09
Found 11:25am, another old historical bridge. Nice looking old pub as well. Once found was difficult to extract. Geo-wife’s smaller fingers help out. TNLN thanks.

17-Nov-09
Found by Mary & David at 1555. First place the engineer looked. Quite picturesque with the cow parsley in flower. Just as well the bridge was replaced with a wider one with all the traffic going by today. Plenty of thirsty locals inside already this afternoon too. Our thanks once more to JABs.

When I drove up the hide immediately occurred to me. The gps got me to the correct end and the cache was in the second spot I tried, Nice to find these rural caches and a good hint on this one too, thanks JABs

Don't you love it when the cache turns out to be in the first place you look? Especially when it's a micro? TFTC

1386+13=1399 with Captain Tomato #66 of 92 on Bathurst Invasion Weekend

My first trip to Bathurst for 34 years – came up through Booroowa and Cowra and headed home via Oberon and Goulburn. Although with that many caches, my memory has blurred, I have come away with a great appreciation of the countryside and seen more of the towns than if I was doing my normal touristy thing. I have seen historic locations, scenic locations, fun locations, tricky micros, easy micros, evil micros – fantastic.

Thanks JABs for the fun of the hunt and the detour off the main road.

29-Mar-09
hmm a pub hows the food here? a bit early for us, I zoomed in on the location when mr_roo and alibda took the otherside so I had 50% chance of getting it right.. actually 100% as I found it..
thanks

Albida started searching and I read the clue and then he told mtrax to look there and he found it Thanks for the hunt

29-Mar-09
SuperJaz read the description as we drove up to this one. Pulled up, took one look and our instincts proved correct as we went straight to the cache.

Found with the Team Bananaphone crew of SuperJaz, Ultra Violet Z and Little Buds.

Thanks for the cache

Looked in one spot, looked in another, then a third. Then a re-checked of the areas and the cache was revealed. How did I miss it the first time. Too worried about watching where I was stepping I guess.........

1861. With an extra two sets of eyes on this one I was confident thatI could clean up a previous DNF - and I was correct. I think the RexTrex and Winglen were looking in the same spot I did last time as I made the find on the other side.

TFTC and the redemption.

27-Mar-09
I just love caching with a couple of friends! The chance of a find goes up rapidly, and McPhan found this very quickly to recover from an earlier DNF. Thanks JABs.

27-Mar-09
Found while passing through here on the way north to Bathurst. Thanks JABs (sorry for the brevity, this cache is a bit of a blur in the old grey cells department.)

Josh climbed all over where he thought it might be but another DNF for today. I think we have lost the touch!!! lol

15-Mar-09

01-Oct-07
This was the 1st of our finds on a quick little caching trip out that way. Would have stopped for a pint or maybe two next door before moving on but since it was fairly early and our 1st for the day we needed to keep moving.

07-Aug-07
Had to stop in next door so went for a walk.

01-Aug-07
Coming clean on a previous DNF.

30-Jul-07
As usual my timing was impeccable Smile
I arrived at exactly the same time as the skool bus, the cars dropping off the skool kids and a couple of elderly locals thrown in for good measure Big Grin
So nonchelance was the order of the day here!!
Lazily kicking a few rocks into the creek, looking bored and generally just hanging around. All while conducting a clandestine cache grab [:o]
Got it!!

29-Jul-07
Checked one side, then the other and found it, strangely they're always in the last place you look!? (yes I'm part Irish)
Signed the log and moved on before the locals even knew what had happened.

27-Jul-07
Pretty sure we wrote wrong date on this one. Found quickly on the way home from our geoing adventures in Oberon.

21-Jul-07
Geo wife decided she wanted this & was FTF. Love the position. Spent many night at the nearby watering hole partying. Thanks JABS.

21-Jul-07
We parked with not far to go and checked the scene, there were muggles just about hanging out of the trees! but with some good timing the cache was in hand quick!
Thanx for bringing us out in the warm winter sun!

21-Jul-07
Found it Big Grin! We picked up a few caches on the way to this one so we were never in the running for the FTF. I got the geokid to chuck rocks into the water from the bridge as a distraction while a made the grab. Very nicely done JABs TFTC SL.
