Manage to have a good hunt, even with the muggles that were there (a mushy teenage couple) and no luck. It looks like I'm the third person in a row to not find this one, I think it needs to be checked.
Still on our paddling mission, against wind and tide :s Not to be discouraged, we dodged the jet skis and pleasure craft to reach the other side of the river, scrambling ashore just a few feet from GZ.
GPS had us heading for the trees for a moment, then swung around and pointed us back to the easier option, thank god. After all, this was not a Scrub Bull cache :p
Easy find. Signed and returned safely.

I was all ready for a walk through the boardwalk here, however it was closed off (had a sign saying it was closed and the path was blocked off)... I couldn't get anywhere near the cache! Next time perhaps.
Hi Found it, great walk trail ezey find, mugglres around so I kept them ocupied while Geo Wife did the find TFTC.
Enjoyed the flatness of the boardwalk to GZ after doing a mountain climb and a high hills walk earlier.
I have been here a few times over the years and always enjoy the mangroves in this area.
The cache was a quick easy find with geopartner being a shield to the muggles while I retrieved it. TNLNSL TFTC Thanks d.d.dudes

1192. Returned today after the track being closed last time, Mrs.K. enjoyed doing her birdwatching bit on the boardwalk and I the Cache. Once located, the contents were just a black wet blob wrapped in a piece of wet wet paper, so I discarded it, dried the container and placed a fresh 35mm log sheet (with my log added), and replaced the cache, then we enjoyed the walk back to the geomobile.

We had to wait for some friendly muggles to leave GZ before searching. Took us a little while to locate but found it in the end. The log is stinky and mushy and I didn't have one to replace it as I had left my caching bag back at the car. Sorry! We signed a piece of notebook paper and dropped it in. Saw some fish jumping out of the water near the pontoon. Thanks for the cache d.d.dudes!
Found after waiting for the muggles to leave. Log is very wet, we were unable to sign but left a piece of note paper. TFTC d.d.dudes
Found ok but out in the open and the log book was very wet so could not sign, replaced as per hint. Will come back for a walk on the tracks cheers
WOW..... What a beautiful place to visit!! Found cache easily on a very quiet afternoon. Thanks so much for bringing us here d d dudes!!!
A Great Little Hide. Our Hardest To Date.
Remember to take a pen. The log is a little damp.
A good walk and we would recommend people take lunch to make the most of the trip.
Its advisable to pack some insect repellent in case of mozzies.

With two previous attempts at this one thwarted by 'closed for maintenance' signs ….. today was our day. What a great boardwalk through the mangroves to the river. [^] It was the first little walk for our newborn in his new pram, so this was a nice walk to test the two of them out
Once at GZ, we began our search. After firstly checking one side with no luck, i changed sides and found what i was looking for neatly tucked away. The log was damp, so we hung around a while to dry it out a bit and admire the river views. When i came back to sign the log, i reached for the pen in my pocket ….. Oh Oh ….. WHAT PEN ?? With the extra organising of the new baby, i'd forgotten to pack a pen from the car. [:o)] I broke off a tiny mangrove root and dipped it in mud to sign our name in the log … it's sort of legible, and i'll include a photo for the non believers.
Thanks for bringing us to this great place d.d.dudes and TFTC [^]

Well this is an interesting area. Hard to believe its been 20 years this has been here. I was a little disheartened at the start of the track when the "mosquito indicator" sign was set to "extreme" - this was re-enforced by the mozzies already starting to attack me as I read the sign. Back to the car - I donned the good ol' Aeroguard. Cop that you blighters. I made my way to GZ. Man - that path is slippery. I was wearing proper hiking boots - and I am glad I was. Finally I came to the new section and made my final way tot the cache. I located it after a bit of a hunt - It certainly is a good little hidey spot for it. The cache was in good condition. TFTC d.d. dudes - a great walk indeed
Set out on a paddling adventure with Team DFL for this series. Arrived in Bli Bli just as the tide turned to go out. Out of the kayak and along the boardwalk had this one in hand. TNLN, TFTC.
Found on a paddling trip with TLJL. Sent Miss Jane off down the boardwalk to retrieve cache whilst Miss Tobie n me laxed in the kayak. TFTC
557 - Another lovely boardwalk we discovered on our short weekend away to this nice part of the world. Loved the walk and only came across one another family on the walk so when we got to GZ it was an easy find at 2:42pm. Saw and heard lots of birds and saw a few baby crabs on the mud flats. We only saw one or two mozzies today, but can imagine how bad they would become in the middle of summer. Loved this cache, TFTC d.d.dudes.
Nice walk. Some of the birds I saw were Yellow Robins, Whipbirds, Mangrove Heron and White faced Heron. This is the best time of year to come here because of the mozzies in summer. No mozzies today even though it rained while I was there. Thanks for bringing me back to this great spot.
Found it with thehairbear after a great walk through the wetlands. Thankfully it wasn't mozzie season.

Way oh!!! This was the longest 1km I think I have ever traveled. The day was hot and I didn't take any water with me. Found the cache after a short search, the angle of the looking was the problem.

A very pleasant (power) walk and, at 5.00 pm, no mosquitoes tonight. Might be a nice spot to bring OS visitors. Some reconstruction work is happening on the boardwalk but not near GZ so far. Cache clean and dry. TFTC d.d.dudes.
Found by Sunshine Toledo at 11:00am. Had to borrow some mossie-spray from the staff at the centre as they were very hungry. Twisted my knee too on the walk so it wasn't all that much fun for a smilie on this cache. Tough hide. Dedication!! TFTC

Aaaahhhh Found the cache finally - after short search... Excellent hide spot. Beauty boardwalk - love it so much. SL. Worth to visit. Thanks d.d.dudes for organising the cache and hunt.
Fantastic!
We hired a tinny from Maroochydore for a couple of hours, put-putted up to the wetlands, moored the boat at the pontoon, then I got out my trusty N95, and asked "I wonder if there's a cache nearby?"
I nearly fell over when we found out we were less than 20 metres from it.
Unfortunately I didn't have a pen, so I signed the log book with one of my kids crayons.
Hope that's ok

Been meaning to get here for years. Ruby found this. Plenty of boats out n about. TFTC
The mozzie meter was correct and ample mozzie spray was clearly required at the starting point.
The walk in took me past a variety of plant and animal life and made for a much more enjoyable walk than what was been the beach walk norm for most of this week.
This is a gem of a spot - thanks dudes. [^]

Wow! A gem of a place that I wouldn't have found without this cache
If loves wetlands and mangroves and this stroll had the lot [^]
Definitely a highlight of the day in an area that I thought I had explored thoroughly. The local council and their sponsors have done a great job here
I arrived at at the high tide so everything was underwater. Lots of juvenile fishies in here [:o]
I didn't see any Scylla serrata but there were a few smaller crabs hanging around in the mangroves
TFTC and stroll. The relief from the mozzies and sweltering humidity at GZ was very welcome

Well as you can guess by the date we where enduring near cyclone conditions, the seas where huge the winds where averaging around 80kms and there was no shortage of aqua falling out the sky. Frazer Island was evacuated, but what where we doing.....camping at Cottontree and going caching!!
Nice easy find we forgot to bring a pen so we left Tam's business card instead.

a great walk out to this one,no mozzies(yay)fishing muggles made us waste 30 minutes ,but we can not think of a better place to waste 30 minuts.

A lot of work has gone into this boardwalk. We were amazed at how long it went for as it sure beats walking through the mangroves. The Mini Inks would have loved walking through the mud for that distance to locate the cache. Luckily it was a very pleasant educational walk that led to great views of the river.

A Great Board walk, great location. Enjoyed the walk in solitude, and not even ONE mozzy. Walked through lots of spider webs though . TFTC.
Great spot but didn't see any Scylla Serrata de Haan today. Had the place all to myself today. Found it at 1310hrs. Wished I had the geokids as there mitts are smaller than mine.

1710hrs. FTF Sculla Serrata. No mossies and a torch coming back would have been handy. What a great area. Pity no fishing from dock. Looks like you have been hanging out with Scrub Bull and Cooroy Scouts too much. Sneaky. Ha ha. [^] TFTCSL
