A great piece of history. Struggled to find the appropriate spot to approach the final & felt a little uncomfortable doing so. But a beautiful spot and soon had cache in hand. TFTC!
Took a while to determine the best route to access this one, but once established a short walk was enjoyed and a quick find ... once the GPS stopped spinning.
Found while out and about. Almost stepped on a snake inside the fence, so watch out. Thank you Crystals for the cache.
TFTC. On a trip to look at the river Murray flooding (and caching!). On our way home today!
Happy caching and safe travels!
Back rectifying a previous DNF from when river was flooded!

TFTC. Day 16 of honeymoon caching trip. Weather still not the best, but caught up with some cachers near Swan Reach on the long way around to Crystal Brook!
Happy caching and safe travels!
Unable to locate this one - unsure of final coords so have asked for a check from CO. Current ones I have take us to a currently flooded creek ?

Looks like the brief warm weather had gone and rain ️ is in the way so we are out with iluvtrekking grabbing finds while we can remain dry. Awesome views along this road. Interesting way to work out final and happy to make the find which in camo’d we’ll. Thanks Crystals
Another cache found with richlink on our 2022 South Australian Adventure. We are enjoying our time travelling SA. Fantastic towns, ruins, beaches and cliffs. Thanks to all the COs for taking us on a geo-guided tour.
Third time here, after doing the calcs about 10 years ago!
I checked my co-ords with a previous finder, and found they are correct.
Using the spoiler this time I managed to make the find... sneaky, nicely played.

Started this one from scratch after a previous DNF. Ok so I got the same numbers, and so back to exactly the same location. And at exactly the same location the cache was found this time. A very enjoyable multi. TFTC
In all our travels we would not have even thought to travel to this location.
(HaHa). In your dreams, these cachers do.

A couple of caches near Crystal Brook have been outstanding for some time. Nice cool day for a drive and some lunch at the bakery. Took some time with the calculations, because I made an assumption re the golf course, having played it quite a few times. Short drive, clamber and cache found in good condition. Great location. A favourite. Tftc.

This cache has been a long time coming & I’m pleased to say with a little help from a fellow geocacher we have managed to find the cache, sign & date the log before returning it back to its hiding spot.

TFTC nice find along time coming to get this cache with a little help from a friend we have finally got a smiley
DNF - stuck on the D and just can’t seem to figure it out. Might be one for another day.
Over visiting family for the long weekend and took the opportunity while they were engaged to do a few caches in the area. Planned to hit the Highway passed Crystal Brook, into Georgetown and back to Crystal Brook. Was an awesome day a variety of hides, some easily found, many took longer than should have. Only a couple of misses.
Spent way longer on the data collection that we should have as we didnt connect the typical multi numbers to a puzzle which presented for the second part of the coord. Once its all clicked its was back down a previously driven track from earlier in the day to grab the cache.
Hopefully the landowners know about this cache as it felt a little uneasy at first getting in there. Spent longer on the find not trusting the GPS but eventually added our name to the log. Thanks for highlighting such an awesome little bit of history that would otherwise go unnoticed. Fav point from us. TFTC

Well it’s 2021 and I have finally said good bye to a not so great 2020 and it was great to finally be able to have a reasonable holiday as I have not had a decent break since 2019.
Made to South Australia and finally crossing the boarder and then being greeted by a couple of very friendly SA police offices for which i had the official paper work to allow me to enter.
After making my way west along the Eyre Hwy I went as far as Penong and the Eyre Hwy which I have not travelled along since the late 70’s when I was on a holiday with my folks and this was the last holiday before I started full time work as a sparkie and finding a few caches as I go.
Geocaching when towing a van is not always easy and I have to be a bit selective on which ones I decide to try and find for safe parking purposes especially along busy highways.
So then it was down to the Eyre Peninsula to see the sites down there Venus Bay, Coffin Bay National Park and Lincoln National Park were some highlights and I will come back again to have a better look around.
So after nearly 2 weeks spent on the Eyre Peninsula it was time to start heading back to Victoria but another lockdown in Vic has just occurred so now to change my plans again.
So I rounded the bay and started heading back down the Yorke Peninsula to check this part out.
So after staying in Port Germein for a couple of days it was time to relocate to my next destination which was a whole 46 kms away at Crystal Brook so a big day ahead.
Set the van up at another great park and now for some more caching in the general area.
The weather has definitely changed as it is now in the very high 30’s so definitely need to keep hydrated.
Well I thought that I had worked out what was required for this one at the start and after a short drive I approached my GZ but it did not look right.
Went back to the start rechecked my numbers and came up with the same result.
Messaged a PAF and they got back to me and said I was correct so I put the coords in to google maps and it showed me GZ.
I just thought I was entering somebody’s property which is was why I doubted my coords but it showed me a structure to head for so off I went.
After a brief search I located the cache, added my name to the log and on to the next one.
Well this one marks my 5000th find and I think that it is a fitting cache to mark it.
I hope that they are resting in peace and will not be forgotten.
Thanks Crystals TFTC.

Headed north for a day of random caches and great views.
Came hunting for this one quite a while back but couldn't work out the gz entrance at the time.
Google has never heard of the place... until I pull up near that gate, and Google proudly tells me where I am
Respects paid. A nice quiet place to sleep. Things were harsher back then. Much deserved rest.
thanks for the smiley Crystals

in late 2016 by memory i took a look at this Multi but became a bit confused re: working out the way to get the numbers for the final [back when i was green at this game ha ha] I had another go in 2017, still without luck. It was only two or more weeks ago i decided to nut this one out [being more seasoned now ] it was solved even though i didn't have the golf hole number it became a quick process of elimination with tried co-ord numbers coupled with the cache name and it became clear what the golf hole number was
Fast forward to today, Wednesday the 7th of October 2020, on my way to Orroroo for the afternoon and night [Lotsa hides in that town [^]] i decided on grabbing this one nice and early. Nothing like a Multi to start one's day
With much rain having fallen between Two Wells and Crystal Brook, i was a bit concerned about this one requiring me to have to deal with a Summer Track [:o]
[I only have a small front-wheel-drive Toyota Corolla, Rice-Burner, so if it was muddy i was gonna have to shelve getting this one for this trip.
The road was wet but gravelly and i had good grip the whole time (Happy as!)
Parked safely off the road and walked over in thongs with my long pants rolled up due to the wet grass [B)] My feet would end up being like prunes the rest of the day with soaked shoes so the shoes and socks stayed back in the car. Squeaking wet feet on thongs proved dicey too [:o]
The cache was found in the first place i assumed when right on top of GZ [^]
SL at 07:18 on 7 Oct 2020.
A Favourite point is offered for this Old Gentleman Multi that has always been on my "To Solve" list for years. Finally bagged this puppy and put it to bed [^] Fairly happy, a great start to the day and the rain stopped enough for me to go grab it
The cache and contents are good and dry...

Found on a short camping and caching trip north from Adelaide with FeatherWaite.
We slowly made our way up to near Lake Gairdner on the first day, picking up some selected traditional, letterbox and multi caches along the way. We then went across to Hiltaba where we travelled around part of the property, visiting Hiltaba Lookout and Mount St Mungo to find some more caches, including a couple of FTFs, before heading down to near the Gawler Ranges National Park to camp. Then it was off to Whyalla where we targeted a few multis and traditional caches before returning to Adelaide the following day.
Unlike our trip to the south east a fortnight ago, where we were pretty well rained out, we enjoyed reasonable weather with clear skies for most of the time; the only exception being a bit of rain overnight in the Gawler Ranges area.
Most of the caches were found in good condition, although we did have to replace a couple of containers and logbooks.
I collected the coordinates for this one quite a few years ago, soon after I started geocaching. But when I went to find it my gps initially took me somewhere close, but at a lower altitude, and I made some incorrect assumptions as to where it might be. It was good to return today with a lot more experience and finally make the find at this interesting place.
Thanks Crystals for the cache.

Found during a caching trip to Hiltaba, the Gawler Ranges and Whyalla with e.gregory1 for a few days. On Day 1 we traveled to Port Augusta and Iron Knob then camped out for the night near Lake Gairdner. On Day 2 we arrived at Hiltaba with the main objective to tackle the caches on Mark Bonin Peak 'The Lookout' and Mt St Mungo before traveling through the Gawler Ranges. On Day 3 we drove to Whyalla then camped out nearby for the night. Day 4 saw us return back to Adelaide, picking out a few selected caches along the way. Targeting a range of cache types (Traditionals, Puzzles, Earthcaches, Multicaches, and Letterboxes), a multiple of cache attributes, and a wide variety of Difficulty/Terrain combinations resulted in an entertaining few days with cool weather and great scenery. Thanks for the cache Crystals!
8583 Located by baby&Mrs gopher at 1220. Found the information and then drove into the park area. Wasn't sure what to expect as we climbed over the fence. baby had seen the looks of a structure from the road. After a frustrating 30 minutes there was the container. No log book inside so we stamped the descriptive sheet. Very well executed and to think it is your only hide. A FP from us. SL Tnx TheKellyGang
I headed through the brook again today,
and headed across the brook to have another poke around for this cache
No luck again !!
Interesting to see that there has been some concrete poured recently.
Looks like a base for a new headstone.

#6415 - 11:30; Day 6 of the Alice Mega Road Trip with Sol de lune and now albida33 who joined us this morning for the rest of the trip, so most logs were signed S.A.L. as a result. After a second night in Burra, we were now caching our way to Port Augusta via Spalding, Gulnare, Crystal Brook, Port Pirie, Napperby, Weeroona Island and Baroota. Gathered the required information and calculated GZ. Still not sure we had the right information, but set off anyway and found the cache at an interesting but off the beaten track location. Worth the visit. TFTC Crystals
Alice trip 2017. Day 4. Today was the day I caught up with Sol de Lune and LuckL10n in Burra. We joined forces for the journey to Alice Springs. Today was a short trip to Pt Augusta collecting plenty of caches along the way. The match never goes as smoothly as it should, be worked out the numbers and gave it a go. I was bit surprised at how much there was at GZ and am very glad I took the time to walk in to visit it.
Thanks.

On the road to the Alice Springs Mega with LuckyL10n and Albida33. We headed through Burra and Port Pirie before arriving in Port Augusta for the trek up the highway. Collected a good number of caches and all were found with no issues and the logs were soon signed. (Some logs were signed as S.A.L. to save space.)
Thanks for the cache and fun in getting to it and finding it.

Although a cemetery is a sad place I really enjoy visiting them and learning about the area .
I have placed caches in several myself.
They are all worthy of fav points to me and you will get one today.
A very simple multi .
Found with 3LG .

It has been a while since we have done some serious caching so we decided to head north with earthlight for a few days and meet up with The X Trailers in Port Augusta as they pass through there on their journey homeward bounds to QLD and cache along the way, we have set up camp in Pirie and plan on grabbing a few of the local caches around the area, a very cool place to visit, it took quite a while to actually find the cache when we arrived and a roo startled us as it hopped past us off into to the distance. TFTC
I'm visiting from Phoenix, Arizona. I decided to attempt this fun multicache today but was unable to decipher the last two clues. After some puzzling I realized there must be a golfing reference that I didn't understand!
Day fourteen of the short holiday with Bettyboo3747.
A day for travelling between Moonta and Broken Hill.
Lots of wind and graveyard multi's on the trip interstate.
Collected our information at the starting co-ords (where are some golfing muggles when you need them?), and took off down the road.
We were not sure about our calculations when we parked and started walking to GZ - looked a lot like private property.
Jumped the stream, and up the hill.
Now that was unexpected, but very interesting.
Signed the cache, and spent a bit of time.
Thanks for a very interesting spot, Robmc.

# 9476. Today Robmc and I left the Yorke Peninsula (sadly) and travelled to Broken Hill. We were accompanied by gale force winds at every caching stop but managed to find some very interesting multi's and a few traditionals to break up the trip. It must have worked because we arrived in BH at about 5.30pm.
A big favourite point for this one. How unexpected and out of sight is this little cemetery. What is it called? The only legible headstone that I could read was Richard J M Reid. Sad. Unlike some of the posted photos the area today was lush and green with knee high grasses to walk through. This is one of my favourite types of caches involving history and cemeteries. And it is a multi (I am doing a challenge this month) and it is unfound and therefore unloved for over a year ( I am doing another challenge).
Oh, and very nice hide too by the way. Cache isn't too bad but could do with a little TLC itself.
Thanks Crystals

I could not resist another try at findiing this cache today
I had done some online research last night and knew my coords were correct and I already knew the best way to get to GZ
After scattering the cows in the brook, I headed up the bank and was at the cemetery
I searched and searched for a cache.
Couldn't find one
After all that !! [:o]
Ah well !! Who cares ??
It was the cemetery that is the star of this cache chase [^]
Thanks for guiding me there

So off I went for a drive down a few roads to try to get to GZ ....

Touring Australia having left Perth in late February we are leisurely touring South Australia.
Today we moved camp from Laura to a 'Free Camp' just out of Crystal Brook. After lunch we headed into town to find as many caches as we could.
Just love the history here and the fact that the local caches seem to highlight so much of it.
Left this cache till last after reading the problems that others have had with this. Did the maths but spotted 2 obvious misnomers and then checked on our Android phone on satellite what was at GZ... Hmmm that looks plausible, no idea what it is but possible.
So off we went. Mr FelixII made the trek. not sure if there is a best approach as we were quite worried we were traipsing across private property to get to GZ [?] Didnt want the property owner to come out with a shotgun.
Tricky little puzzle but we nutted it out by ourselves with no phone a friends!!! woo hoo....

Did this multi with mogni and brisal5 while on our way to Quorn for a caching weekend. Love this area as we lived in Redhill for several years. A few changes but looks much the same after 18 years.... TFTC, enjoyed this one.
This one had us driving around in circles, unsure if we had found the right cords. A quick phone call to a previous finder and we knew we were in the right place.
Thanks
Thanks
Heading up to meet Aussie M & M in Chrystal Brook with mogni. Of course getting there would always provide a few stops. . Then it was a great meal at the diner with the Ms before heading out to grab some more caches.
This took two attempts. We solved the first part and drove as close to GZ as we could. Couldn't see a cemetery and was sure that was were it would be. Googled cemeteries in CB and apparently there is only 1. So off we went to do 'lone pine' and fiddle with the coords we had but nothing seem to come out in that place. So the Aussies went and did some supply shopping for the weekend and Mogni went back and we rechecked the calculations. Same place we had already tried.
When the Aussies rejoined us the girls were all for leaving it but the but us blokes were driving so back we went. Across the creek and up the hill and a cemetery that Google knows nothing about!
The coords took us to the spot on place, but is still took a search before Aussie Mark turned up the clever hide. Thanks Crystals. I loved it.

Found on a Georun to Crystal Brook, met 2 snakes walking from the road to the cemetery. This is my 17th cemetery find to date. TFTC

The maths seems to work correctly but I still got one digit wrong which had me a couple of kms out. With that set right I just had to dodge the old guy spraying weeds at GZ for an easy find!

Fell for the 18th hole trick. Found the area easily, searched every square inch of the place until Granny B found it 30 mins later. Great interesting cache. Thanks
I accidentally chose the wrong waypoint and ended up right back at the same endpoint of 'Exploring through the Ages'! I thought i was losing my mind, but after choosing the right one, it was still directing me to the middle if nowhere (600 m from the nearest road) It's been a long day, I think I'd better leave this one for another day (and redo the calcs!)
1800 Sorry, I couldn't get the 'maths' for D. Had a good look, but nothing seemed to work.
Geomum and Geodad work the puzzle out then Geodad took a walk for this one to find it. TFTC
This was our RunCount0th cache in our caching run today - and we found it at around 13:32.
(So this is our 43860th total find.)
We had a lot of trouble with this one. Although not golfing afficionados, we are absolutely sure that the green/black is the 17th - as the 18th tee is nearby.
After going on a wild goose chase we resorted to phoning a friend who gave us a good lead.
Took: Nothing
Left: Whistle
Thanks Crystals for the hunt today.

One I have tried before but have not succeeded after. Figuring out the correct coords couldn't believe were it was last time I was here was when first moved to the brook and had some locals show us around but it was in the dark... Thanks for bringing me back here unique little cemetery... TFTC
First DNF for the morning with Mr T while the little Miss E's spend their time supporting their team at the SA Country Swimming Championships. I am sure that I had the right spot in the corner of a peaceful spot, found a nice little cache 'nest' that was empty.
After a little extra travelling, and recalculating the co-ords, we were still not sure we were at the correct place until we were almost there. A quiet treasure of the past

A oversight in calculation saw us end up about 7kms away from where we should have been. We had even passed by on the very road that we ended up stopping on. What an intriguing mystery with nothing in sight to the very last minute. The cows across the road were amused I am sure by our uncertainity when we pulled up. Thannks for an great little multi.
Dropped the girls at a Softball Carnival at Port Pirie, then the Geoboy and me headed out for some caching in the area for the day.
Made the cals and they appeared wrong and they were (fell for the old 18 trick). After reading some logs and getting the right coords, I still thought they were wrong but found the cache. TFTC.

Found by Mary & David at 1540. Made a hash of this. Had the right numbers but didn't believe them at first. Back to confirm the numbers, then returned to the nearest spot on the road. Avoided getting wet feet then found a track heading in the right direction. What a wonderful surprise awaited at GZ. A pity there isn't more information available about it. A great cache from first to last location. Our thanks to Crystals.
Interesting find at GZ. Thank you for sharing this interesting piece of history with us. Junior cacher also found a gecko sitting on top of cache, don't know what she was more excited about finding.
Our 100th find.

I will remember this cache for a while, got one of the co-ords wrong and went for a trip back in time ( hav'nt we been here before), after a phone call was put on the right track and found our way to this magnificent site.tftc.
A most surprising find. I was certain our calculations were wrong and we were on a wild goose chase right up until we were 10m from GZ. Amazingly well hidden piece of history and I am glad we persevered. Thankyou for organising such an interesting cache. TNLNSL. Cheers!
Great multi with such a hidden piece of history, thanks for bringing us here TNLN TFTC
Another one for geodad to do while we rested....lol. We watched him as the walk wasn't too far and we parked with a view!! TFTC
Had some trouble with this one. Mainly because Bruce misread the number on the green as an 18. Went to the wrong coords and knew we were at the wrong spot. Used a help line and got back on track. A very sneaky hide of the cache. Thanks for the challenge Crystals
Took a few detours to get this one worked out and also forgot "To Jump" which helped out in the end. Great Cache TFTC
We took the wrong side but soon worked it out where we should be.... Nice one TFTC
We did the sums after a lovely meal and a few reds in The Crystal Brook Hotel ( Recommended ) on our way to Pirie...
Got some tips about GZ from the locals but came unstuck under a half moon on a dark night Must have been the wine

Very interesting final location. I was stumped for while and then I had quitters luck. They did it tough back in them olden days.
On the way home from Flinders Ranges - last day.
We love multi-caches. This one was no exception. You would never know this existed if not for geocaching.
Very clever cache hide; probably the best we have seen.
Took: tape measure
Left: glitter pen and a koala

Started this one back in October, but didn't manage to find the last stage. Today was different! Will admit we had to phone a friend. Tweety and rocks don't mix!!
Thanks Crystals, another great caching discovery. I took the Wibble pathtag and left a tape measure.
It's amazing.....a place I had forgotten exisited. Geocaching has taken me to a few local spots one here and one further up the road and it's amazing how these places are now stuffed.
Many a day/night was spent at this location catching yabbies, now there isn't even a drop of water.
I was thinking about putting a cache near this location myself glad I found it. Only reason I found the cache was that someone had left a pencil on top of the cache location.

A bit miffed at where I had to start. But the nice gate with the horseshoe was an obvious welcome. The day was quite warm, but the trek was easy. …Special spot with the cache easily found. You would really sleep well here. Thanx to the owners for making this available to those of us in the know. [^][^]
Clear skies, TeamAstro.
Nibs asked how many people outside the small community knew this was here? Well, Mr Wibble's Dad, who accompanied us, lives here and has for many years and HE didn't know this was here! (although oddly Mr Wibble did!). After getting the initial clues we headed out here with Mr Wibble Senior and Socrates the dog, who had great fun in the creek because there was actually water in it. Amazing to see the work that went into these places years ago and its a shame much of the history is unreadable.
Took nothing and left a pathtag.

This is what I love about caching. How many people outside the small local community would have the slightest inkling this place was here? I know we were surprised when it was revealed for what it was [^].
The cache took a while to find as we were nonplussed as to where you could hide a small container. Then we both stumbled upon it almost simultaneously. Nice hide [^]. Many thanks indeed for sharing this with us Crystals .

Had fun finding this one (eventually). Fantastic hide. We were a bit unsure of whether we could actually get to the cache legally, but in the end were convinced that it was OK. left a frog and took a koala. TFTC
Found on second attempt - successful when we paid VERY close attention to the clues. Clever hide at the end. Interesting location. Altogether a great cache. Thanks for a satisfying cache
A clever little multi that made us think outside the square a bit. At first the question about the black or green number had us wondering, but all the clues are right there. We just had to wait for the wind to blow in the right direction to actually get the required number We entered the new coords into the Etrex and off we went.
A great secluded little spot that would probably get very few visitors. We looked about but couldn't find a cache. So I decided to read the encrypted hints. Then I realised that I'd made a mistake with the East decimal minutes. A quick correction put us over the 'other' side, but still took a bit of looking until the hidey hole made itself evident. In all a good cache that we enjoyed. No swaps, but picked up the shunter TB to move on. Thanks Crystals.

Collected most of the clues and did some math. Visited this location and though no way. Need to consider and reflect and probably find that Green/Black.
On the way further south I started to wonder if F was xx not x.
Never fear we will return.

A Gold for Supachick!
With a slight advantage however, with the cache being placed in her home town, AND whilst she's on holidays!
An interesting location - would never have guessed it would be there.
