I hadn't realised this one had been disabled as it was still in my GPS. A nice walk over to GZ. The cache is there, the log book was intact, the cache is in average condition, but is still protected.
A great cache find whilst in the area.
What a most unexpected little get away.....I needed some R&R and the lovely micaparamedic needed to cache in Tassie to meet a challenge cache's requirements, soooo a plan was quickly hatched and we were on our way.
Gary was good enough to do all of the driving (a real treat for me) so I just relaxed as we explored various beautiful locations that Tassie has to offer.....and we even picked up a cache or two. [^]
The weather was fantastic, the food was delicious, and I was delighted to catch up with some very special people that I love.
Thanks so much for the cache tassiebear!

Even this one is disabled I couldn’t resist a find.....
Yes the container is damaged but log book is secure and dry, pencil works and there are shall swaps available.
I had no problem being close to the facility....it’s metres from a track that’s used by thousands of visitors every year and cache is an easy find once there !!

This geocacher reported that this geocache should be archived. A community volunteer reviewer has been notified.
Found it! Cache in poor condition and not in the best location. Still, I was able to sign. I'm reporting this as NA though due to a) the consistant lack of maintenance and poor condition of the cache (container is broken and held together by tape, bag inside is ripped and torn), and b) the fact that it's located right at the base of a major telecommunications tower which in this day and age is not only going to draw suspicion on any cachers near it but is also a security risk and thus, I think, against the latest incarnation of the rules. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. There are definitely many other, better caches in the area though.
Quick find on our way down. Container is broken. Zip log is damaged, too. Logbook is still dry. Tftc.
Beautiful day on the mountain. Found quite easily with friend "Damo". Great hiding spot.
G'day Tassiebear and Dingo Tim, this poor old cache could really do a some TLC, but you should know that from many previous logs.
TFTC though.

Thanks for the find. The plastic bag and container were broken, may need maintenance.
This geocache requires some maintenance. Container broken and log books a bit soggy.
This was a fun geocache! It took a little but found it and I put a travel bug so if you could help me I would like if if you move the travel bug and log it online so I could see the progress.
TFTC found this a while ago but never logged it. Nice easy find with a great view
Oh was it cold today. My ears nearly fell off. Found the cache. It's seen better days though.
First holiday in Tassie in roughly 6 years, staying in the beautiful town of Cygnet in the Huon Valley with the goal of finding just a few caches while I'm here enjoying the wonderful hospitality and company of Lekker_Ding and seeing more of what Tasmania has to offer.
Hard to believe 30 minutes ago I was at sea level and in 30 more I'll be back there. Right now 1271m above sea level it's cold and windy but it's a clear day for my last day in Tasmania and the views are spectacular. Hobart lays bathed in sunlight and the valley reminds me of the amazing few days I've had here. I'll be back very soon.
We came today for the purpose of dropping off Lekker_Ding's TB (Nijntje) TB7VKNY and planned on collecting the current TB to take to Victoria but sadly found the cache in very poor condition and badly damaged.
Log book soaked, log book bag torn, cache container smashed and outer plastic bag also ripped and torn. The supposedly existing TB was nowhere to be seen so I decided to take Nijntje back to Vic and return to another location next time.
The drive, scenery, views and whole area are spectacular and the cache location ideal. Thank you so much for putting this here Tassiebear and DingoTim

A quick visit up to the pinnacle this morning before work. Unfortunately the mist obscured the view although we were rewarded with a view slightly further down. Found the cache easily. The container needs replacing as the lid has broken off. TFTC!

The Booos are in Hobart for a short stay
A fantastic location for a cache, but sadly this one is in desperate need of some TLC. The cache is split open and no longer waterproof some has attempted to wrap it in zip locks but they are stating to weather.
Thanks tassiebear for placing this cache.

I braved a wet and windy walk from the sheltered observation deck to find this one. No trackable found in cache however you'll find one in there now. tftc cache not in super condition although zip lock bags have helped.
As I was approaching GZ I was contemplating my route in (I'm wearing completely inappropriate caching shoes). There were several likely contenders, but the one just past 90 degrees is it. I seemed to spend ages lookibg around, and then "oh, there it is". The container is sadly broken. TFTC
TFTC. Perhaps the highest location ive found. Unfortunately horrible day and couldn't see a thing. Your cavhemade it worth it however. No pen to sign the log so I took a photo anyway.
It's always nice to have caches conveniently located for when a cacher is traveling with non cachers. Slip away for a moment and boom a find! TFTC!
An unusually non windy and warm(ish) day on mount Wellington and an easy find. Container is cracked. Tftc
Tftc, headed down the track and got close to the rocket ship. The wife went further down the track and took lots of photos as she thinks it is where they filmed some scenes for the movie 'Lion'.
Took me quite a while to locate this one despite the clue but I did find it and its signed sealed etc. Actually not so sealed because the container is broken but otherwise all there.
Thanks
Thanks
A quick find. TFTC and for bringing us to this location had a great afternoon looking around. Cache container now disintegrated and log damp
Cache container disintegrated no longer holding together needs replacing badly, log damp.
TFTC! Found a very long time ago but just realised that I didn't log it, loved the hide, loved the location, and loved the hint.
Arrived at the top after a day at Bruny Island just before the clouds rolled in. Had some great views for 30 minutes and then it was a white out.
A quick find
Thanks

Apologies for the delay in posting our log. We've just had a great 16 day holiday in Tassie. Now back home on the mainland it's time to log our 108 finds of the trip.
Unfortunately the container of this cache is broken but cache still in tact & log signed.

Seems like this was a good weekend to escape the scorching Queensland heat. I have been in Tassie for a week now to sail an open replica 1908 Moreton Bay net fishing boat from Cockle Creek in the south to Hobart for the Wooden Boat festival. Crookedshaz and I managed to borrow some wheel sand find our way to the top, whereupon we were greeted with a south westerly change and some falling snow........in mid February.
With the temp outside the car hovering around 1 degree and 45 knots blowing from the south west, I didnt dilly dally in chasing down this cache. I normally would have enjoyed wandering the walking tracks here, but not today. Container is smashed and in need of some maintenance.
A memorable trip to the top. Many thanks ,tassiebear.

Found with @therosettamonkey (P&J) no pen, but logging it anyway. No trackable in there though.
Couldn't visit Mt Wellington without doing some caching, I wasn't well prepared in thongs and only a thin top but found it.
Sorry for the late log.
Beautiful day at Mt Wellington with the family.
Explored the area and told the family I just wanted to explore over there. Came back looking sad after having my phone (I GC by phone) go dead and even though I had read the hint with 5% left I had no luck. Hubby came over with his phone, read the hint, walked to where I had been and made a quick find. My response when he showed me where it was "see that stick lying there right next to it, I was holding that stick" How did I miss it? Well all I can say is "he's a keeper".
As previously mentioned yes the container is broken but the log was dry.
Thanks for having this up here, just a beautiful view.
Greetings from Brisbane.

Greetings from Brisbane.
After coming thru from the NW of the state this morning for an appointment Mrs chickp decided to take the geokid up the mountain as it was a lovely afternoon for sightseeing. We wondered along the path and had a good look at the impressive tower. Cache container is broken but everything was dry and we quickly signed. TB needs to be removed from this listing and marked as lost however as there was no sign of it. We left a TB behind tho to take in the view while it waits to continue its journey.
Found as the cloud was coming in. Container lid has separated from the rest of the container, log was wet, but able to sign it. TFTC
TFTC. i actually found this one about a week ago but it was a great hide and i really enjoyed it.
Found the cache quite easily on a very cold and very windy Saturday afternoon while visiting from Adelaide. The wind was gusting at 95 kph and the Bureau website had the temperature at 6 degrees, so it was a tad chilly. The scenery was amazing and the cache was a bonus. TFTC.
Found on a very cold and windy afternoon rocks provided good protection while signing log. Yep container needs replacing.
Sure is a rocket ship!!!!! Cache found but we didn't have a pen. Will claim as we did this extraordinary drive to this extraordinary place! Photo from car park on this windy day. TFTC
Found thanks to a good hint. Hope the CO will visit to replace the container. tftc
Found nice and quickly and quite secure from muggles despite being insanely busy up here today. So clear feel like we could see to Antarctica! Cache appears to be damaged, lid only roughly fits and could do with replacing. TFTC.
TFTC! found it quick enough. Caution with muggles and broken glass cache container needs replacing. Shan & Nick
Awesome spot! Cache needs a bit of maintenance and a pen, log book soggy. Not too many muggles about. Thanks
My Highest Cache find, ever! I love coming up here for the views, now I had another reason to come up here since I became a Cacher Grabbed this one first seeing we parked closer to it Copy most cachers before me, the container is in real need of changing being damaged [:o] SL at 12:14 on Wed 4 Jan 2017. Re-hid placing the top half of the container onto the main lower half as to keep any moisture out and placed back well under it's rocky cover [^] TNLN TFTC tassiebear
Great to scramble about and find the cache. Yes, could use a little maintenance- new container, pencil, new zip lock (I removed the one that was in shreds. Great hint!!
Found this one also. Woohoo. Tftc
Incredible views.
Container is cut open! May need to be replaced.

I found this geocache with Mummy and caughtatwork while we were on holiday in Hobart for the Christmas week. Thank you for this geocache which kept us entertained while we were on holidays.
A beautiful day at the top of the mountain with great views and warm enough for shorts and shirt. A pretty quick find considering the terrain and rocks so i was very pleased. Thanks for this cache today.
Lucas found it. Cache container is broken, log book was wet. Pen is missing. Great find, can feel the energy emitting from the tower. Bzzzzz
Tftc! Nice hide in a lovely spot, able to search despite muggles container is damaged and log books slightly damp. Tnln
Two Norwegian travellers on vacation/geocaching in Australia. Travelling by car from Brisbane to Adelaide with stops in interesting and not so interesting places. Started with the Sunshine Coast to warm us up and since then when travelling to the south and west the weather have not been so good as we hoped. Lots of wind and rain with only a few sunny days in between. We have now travelled through the east and south of OZ for more than 6 weeks. We arrived Adelaide where we returned the car after 5000 kms on the road. We have visited the outbacks (nearly) , the Great Ocean Road, the agricultural areas, the apple growing regions and at the end the wine regions, like Coonawarra with their good sparkling Chiraz, then McLaren Vale, Adelaide Hills and ended up in Clare where we enjoyed their good Rieslings.
After three nice and sunny days in Adelaide we flew over to Tassie yesterday.
Today is the day to log some caches here in the Hobart area. A must in Hobart is driving up to Mt. Wellington. Sunny day, not so windy and a nice view.
The container is broken, but the log is dry. Needs maintenance.

After a great breakfast in town, my son and I drove up here for the view...and the caches. I stopped to grab this one while he was exploring elsewhere. Thanks!
