Walked the loop but forgot about the cache. Went back to next day only to not find it
Staying at nearby Mt Quincan and doing some touristy things, neither of us had stopped here before so combined a quick walk with caching.
Got to GZ and searched and searched until a muggle showed up. We stopped for a bit and then looked again when the coast was clear. Unfortunately we didn't find it.
oh well it's still a lovely walk and location.

We had a pretty thourough search but no luck for us today.

Such a lovely walk. I took my hubby on this search and was so excited when he found the cache before me - cultivate some GeoCaching in him! We decided to explore the path along the other side of the road as well, also a beautiful walk. Before I came looking for this cache, I didn't even realise such a lovely walk ran through this forest. Thanks for another wonderful local spot!
TFTC. Have done this beautiful walk before! Left a Travel Bug "Der Schatz im Silbersee" behind that I found 6 months ago on the Gold Coast and missplaced in a move to Far North Queensland. Hope it may now continue its journey!
Short walk and find that was easier to find than first expected.
Lovely patch of rainforest and a swimming hole that I did not dare try, afraid it would be cold
Thanks for the cache

Came for the Birdwatching and saw a new bird, came for a geocache and found a geocache, I couldn't be happier! TFTC!!!
oh dear we ran out of time for this one - it needs a re-visit one day with more spare time to do the walk. We'll be back!
[font=Comic Sans MS]Hi there Danielc. We found your cache "Malanda Falling" at 1:31:00 PM today. This cache makes our find count 11051.
[Blue]We are staying up on the Atherton Tableland for a week or so, and are thoroughly enjoying our exploration of the area.
Today we found many interesting sights as we traveled around, some of which we may have bypassed were it not for Geocaching.
[Green]Thanks for not placing an eclipse tin or a 200ml Sistema here. For over ten years we have watched the quality of caches get steadily worse and worse. Once upon a time caches seemed to be "regular" sized, and well stocked with goodies for kids to swap. Nowadays it seems like every other cache is small and devoid anything to induce children to enjoy the hunt. It made us feel really good to find this cache in a "special" place.[/Green]
[/Blue]
Coordinate Accuracy: We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
Cache Condition: The container and log book are in good shape. We didn't see any sign of gugula though.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.[font=Verdana]

While staying in Ravenshoe for a few days we decided to take a drive to Malanda, the Nerada Tea Factory, Lake Eacham and the surrounding area.
We enjoyed the lovely walk through the rainforest to this cache and were delighted to be able to watch a platypus going about his business in the pool at the bottom of the falls
We dropped in a trackable. Many thanks for the hide Danielc[^]

I'm visiting NQ from South Australia and a local friend took me to this area. Had to do the walk to find the cache and perhaps get my friend interested in geocaching. Nice hide and a nice walk to it. TFTC DanielC.
3:20:00 PM. After setting up camp nearby we went off for the walk to find this cache. A beautiful area and the better half saw a Platypus while I was signing the log. Thanks Danielc for placing this cache.
Found this one late but decided to come back for a walk in the daylight.

It was very muddy underfoot looking for this one. Went to the local market and then took our grandchildren for a walk through the rainforest. They were very excited to find the cache.
Nice walk, I took the heart and replaced with a toy, which looks like a gnome one way and a rabbit the other way

Nice walk, heard lots of animals but no sightings. Just keep walking & reading, tftc, TeamTED.
It's warm but we kept on walking. Stand back and look in front of you. Saw a beautiful blue bird and not much else. TFTC.

We took the opportunity to search for the cache nearby. We found it and signed the logbook.

#1322 - easy meander and find in usual place on clear day with slight breeze for us cycling around Australia via each State/Territory peak. Yesterday the big Bartle, now cycle down to Bimberi Peak in ACT Canberra, probably take two months to get there.
During our holidays spent in Australia we visited Millaa Millaa and surroundings. Oh this was a hike... when we almost reached the final coordinates, the GPS distance started increasing again. Finally, we reaches the desired place and found the cache. We were a little bit disappointed by this pool-like waterfalls. However we love Australia and would like to stay here forever. Greetings from Czech Republic. TFTC!

Talk about De ja vu....as I was walking along the trail I was thinking about long long time ago I came here as a new geocacher to find a cache, I joined in 2007 but dont remember my code name from then or much about it truly and of late its been doing my head in trying to remember... when I saw the GZ I walked straight to the cache and low and behold I found my log from 2008!!!! Holy dooley...made my day...since that log I have created a new log in and name and have started from scratch in 2013....so Im logging this as a new cache, now I can rest my mind...TFTC
During a nice walk we found this cache. Unfortunately we didn't see any wildlife.

Found cache and lost track of one of the geokids. Quick search and he was watching the scrub hen. Tftc.
Found the cache. The log book was a bit soggy we left another fun notebook. TFTC
Found this one. There was water inside and the goodies had a swim. I dried it up, but that won't last long time. I loved the swimming pool at the falls.
We thought this was going to be a drive-in cache, or almost. Well, it wasn't because the path turned and turned, which made the 100m from the car park quite longer. But we got a beautiful reward for that: the rainforest was really amazing here. Cache nicely hidden, our youngest son first found a sprinkler, we thought it was part of the stash. Second find was the correct one. Many thanks and greetings from Belgium !
#881 after our long drive up from Vic we were starting to relax and enjoy the local sights. This spot was no exception, simply just beautiful. Mrs BGF found the cache where Mr BGF only looked in moments before.... TFTC DanielC
What a fabulous day we are having exploring more of the Atherton Tablelands and geo-caching as we go. After wandering around Malanda; investigating all the shops especially the Op Shops (where I managed to get some knitting needles I have been after for a couple of months)and discovering a wonderful bakery which meant we had to have an early lunch, we headed out to the Falls. Caching is only a small part of this journey - the trees, bird life, falls and scenery make it a magical one. Addded to all that I found my 2nd trackable for the day. Wooppeeee! TFTC SL LN T Tb
Found on our "Making Memories" tour of Mainland Australia.
Today we explored Atherton Tablelands using geocaching as our guide.
Many thanks to all cache owners for placing and maintaining caches for our enjoyment.

Wonderful falls. So tempting to dive in. But at 9.00am and in the shade I resisted! log wet. But sending photo
We will give this a favorite find as it is our favorite cache of the caches we have found in Australia. We are visiting from Toronto, Canada. Very wet cache...hard to sign log book because so wet. We left a Canadian Bracelet and plastic lizard. TFTC.
On my way to Mareeba I decided to check out this cache. Took a short hike into a beautiful rainforest. Took some time to find as the iPhone took me in the different direction. SL and back to take a picture of the attraction here. Lovely after the rainfall. TFTC.
Cache is very wet. Emptied water from container. Couldn't sign log. Beautiful walk. The kids enjoyed themselves. Very wet and slippery after the rain, however well worth it
After a nice stroll though the rainforest we found Gugula and left a watering can incase it starts to dry out
Great little afternoon walk, that we may have driven past were it not for a cache. With the gps back in the tent, the allegedly smart phones had the geoparents off in stinging tree territory. It wasn, t until geoboy read the sign properly that our search was refined and successful.sl tftc Danielc
Nice walk in the rainforest on Australia Day easy find TNLN TFTC SL. Cache is in good condition
our 500th cache! Thanks for putting a cache in such a beautiful area. We enjoyed the walk and are glad we chose it to be our 500th.

Yahoo - we found it. Looked for this one about a year, couldn't find it, lost my sunnies that I had perched on my head - hubby found them - after he stood on em!!!!!!!!
So we were very happy to go find this one exactly where we thought it should have been. TFTC

A platypus would have been great, but a cache in a nice place is also not bad TFTC!

[green]In Atherton again today so went off to see some local sights and have a look for a cache or two at the same time. We had some lunch down by the waterfall and then went for a walk through the forest. The forest was just lovely to walk through and we saw some birds including a brush turkey.
Found the cache at the obvious spot. The logbook is new and in very good condition as is the contents of the cache.[/green]
[red]Beautiful walk, thanks for bringing us here. [/red]

On our northwards through the tablelands we arrived early in Malanda and had the desire for a short walk. Finding a cache on this walk is a great bonus.

great hiding spot. The container was really wet, I tried to dry it a bit with a page from a notebook I had but it didn't help much. Maybe next time you could bring a cloth to wipe it dry.
I went out to check this one today. Work has been done to the cache site area. Cache has gone.
Will replace as soon as I can.
Sorry for any inconvenience.
Cheers,
Dan

Didnt find the container. Looked under, around, behind en besides... CO check for missing?!
Ah well, didn't find this one. After walking the track twice we found the spot where gugula was and looked down under, all around and everywhere but it eluded us. Will definitely have to go back for this one, maybe after someone else has logged a 'found it' or soon as I'm sure this one will tease me until I get it. Loved the way the track kept winding, so you think your getting close and then it's further away and then close again, had us stumped for a while.
