Unfortunately, I cannot see any information that indicates that steps have been taken to resolve the issue/s associated with this placement. Therefore as advised previously, the cache is being de-listed (Archived) to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements.
The [**Geocache Maintenance guideline**](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#cachemaintenance) explains what needs to happen with a Disable cache.
Caches that have been archived for lack of maintenance will not be unarchived. This is explained in the Help Center article [**here**](http://support.groundspeak.com//index.php?pg=kb.page&id=70).

###**CACHE OWNER ACTION REQUIRED PLEASE**###
----------
I notice from one or more log entries that this cache would seem to be in need of some help - **there appears to be a need for owner intervention.**
Therefore, the cache is being temporarily disabling so as to stop it showing up on search lists and to give the owner an opportunity to check on the cache, and take whatever action is necessary.
The guidelines indicated that periodic visits to check on the cache, as well as prompt attention to any logs that indicate there is a problem, are part of the [**cache owners responsibilities.**](https://www.geocaching.com/play/guidelines#listingmaintenance) I cannot see any log that indicates a recent visit by the CO to this cache.
If you can't attend to the issue promptly, then you need to [**Disable it**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=235) - I have Disabled it for you this time.
**Can you please respond to this situation (or indicated your intention) by **9th September,** so others know exactly what is happening with this cache?
You have lots of choices so pick the one that applies from this handy list:
- Repair and/or Replace your cache or do whatever else is needed, post an [**Owner Maintenance log**](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404) and [**ENABLE your cache.**](https://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235 ) Then sit back and wait for the praises.
- If you don't plan on fixing it up then please [**Archive it**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=56) so it is removed from searches and someone else can have the spot. Don't forget to remove any remnants of your previously enjoyed cache too.
- If you really hope to get it fixed but there is some unusual reason why you can't do it soon, then at least post a Write Note log (by 9th September). Be sure to indicate the actual date that you expect to have it fixed so that everyone knows you are on top of it.
You might wonder what happens if you don't pick one of those. Well, if nothing happens, then a few weeks from today, when I next look at the cache page, it is likely that I will unfortunately have to de-list (Archive) the cache on the basis that it has been abandoned.
Honestly, I'd rather you decide so please do something before then. Please don't send me an email but instead follow the information/advice posted above.

Found damaged waterlogged case. Returned to location. This damage did not however destroy the excitement of visiting miss 5’s first ever geocache find. “A Treasure Box in the middle of the forest on her first ever bush walk!!” Awesome fungi spotting on the track !!

A lovely walk around the puddle that is remaining for a week before it gets filled again but still a very enjoyable walk, we didn't have any replacement paper or containers with us so couldn't sign the log but have photo's of our visit as proof, well worth the walk though.

We decided to visit Bogong Village today to enjoy the area away from the weekend mad mobs and were able to walk around Lake Guy without seeing anyone else. I was surprised to see Lake Guy had been drained however after chatting with a couple of AGL guys apparently this is an annual occurrence to allow maintenance on one or more of the hydro stations. "In the old days" they would dump the water in a day but with tighter environmental controls this is now done over five days to allow the fish (trout) to move away avoiding shallow pool traps. The cache was an easy find although it is sodden and the log book unusable.

CACHERS PLEASE NOTE:
This cache is sodden as the container is broken allowing ingress of water. The log book is unusable.
The cache owners haven't been active since 2013 so it's unlikely a maintenance request will be acted upon. If you are planning to tackle this cache and have the opportunity then please bring a new container and log book.
Merci Buckets!

We went for a walk around the lake at Bogong Village and stopped to look for this one on the way through. A straightforward find but the log is completely soaked. I tried to sign but the pen ripped through the paper. Looks like the container might be broken and letting in water. TFTC.
Good one on a short walk with Murray Valley Bushwalkers. Logbook wet..... TFTC
Lovely atmospheric spot on our stroll around the lake! Have fond memories of staying at the village as a kid when it was still owned by the SEC and Bogong Jack’s was a general store.

Found it with the geo kid and geo mum. Beautiful spot, the lake even had ice on it
Wet day finally. Happy leeches unaware of human presence. Always a lovely stroll. Thanx.
The sun came out after a hard day skiing. The walk turned out to be Nice and very beautiful. TFTC. By the way yesterday was Wednesday. Tree
I spent the morning at falls creek to end up spending my afternoon visiting the power station and walking this beautiful track. was surprised to see there was a cache hidden away and unusual to find the random ropes course. Thanks for the great hide
Great spot, me and my gf left a present for the next people to find with it. Enjoy
We were on our way up to Falls Creek for some caching and hiking. We decided to swing in here on our way up and grab this cache. It has been a few years since we have been down here. We made our way to GZ admiring the area as we walked around. What a beautiful spot at GZ. Mr V made the find. We made our way back to the car. We enjoyed getting this cache due to the beautiful surrounds. We had a muggle with us and he enjoyed looking for the cache with us. It is easier to show someone what it is all about rather than explaining it.
Thanks forrest boys for the lovely detour.

Easy find . Container seems to be ok . A little bit of moisture inside but logbook seems to be ok now . I replaced the snap lock bag with a new one
Found with Bingami and The Rolling Bishop. Cache a little hard to find - suspect there has been some cache creep over the last year or two. Cache is in really bad condition - cracked and broken lid, 2cm of water in cache, everything wet and mouldy. Logbook now soaked through. Tried some limited cache first aid, but not a lot with us, so did our best. TFTC forrest boys -Suggest a visit ASAP to fix the cache.
Found with the help of geo twin and The Rolling Bishop and friends. Lovely walk, but cache needs urgent attention. TFTC
In the area to chase the earthcache and then there was the multi FTF and a trad to top it all off was perfect.
Quick find in a great location.
Thanks for placing this cache forrest boys

A lovely walk around the dam, we found the cache, filled up our water bottles from the nearby creek and converted the geo children to drinking snow water. They said it tasted so good......and then the heavens opened. Pretty wet by the time we were back at the cottage, we were thankful for the snow gear drying room. Next morning we redid the walk in the sunshine and had a good look around the dam wall. Tftc
We had to record a DNF when we were last here in December 2013. Many thanks to Jamin for replacing the cache so we could find it today. Once again a lovely walk around Lake Guy, with the added bonus of collecting information for the recently published Earthcache about Hydro-Electricity. SL at 11.10am TN Left: turtle. No sign of any GC's, cache container was wet, but log book was snug and dry in its zip lock bag. Put log book in smaller zip lock bag and closed container properly and popped it back in its hiding place. TFTC and the walk in the bush forrest boys. #2323
Wonderful ferns! Fern paradise! Tricky!!!!
Really hard to find with a great trail including a dash through the dam.

#1240 - Found on our ride up from MtBty. Lake Guy Trail is not up to cycling on hybrids. Nice dry weather for cycling this morning. Nice picnic spot for lunch and the BBQ plate is clean and free so we had toasted sandwiches for lunch. There are toilets and a rubbish bin at this un-named picnic spot. We may have dropped off the TB WT5J97 off here, not sure.

What a pretty walk through the bush and awesome to step through the middle of the dam walls too! Loved finding this geocache with the Bella Girls. Thank goodness for the photo spoiler though as we weren't sure where to start! TFTC
After a search and a quick call to jamminaps I found it. It's not at at log but closer to the creek and between the bridges.
Lovely spot, found in about 10 minutes. Forgot a pen so couldn't sign the logbook, but left a tracker

I'm at the Bogong Outdoor Education Centre this week with the year sevens from Beechworth S.C.
I saw that this cache was in a bad state so I got in touch with the CO to see if I could help while I was at camp.
Today I've put the replacement cache out. I'm unsure where it previously was so I put it as close to where my GPS was saying GZ was. It's between the two bridges. A couple of steps off the track at the base of a fern. Look for a rock to know you're at the right place.
Check the pic if you're still wondering.
What a really pleasant spot this is! Great place for a walk around the lake and to enjoy nature

Spent almost an hour searching with Harrowang but unfortunately couldn't find it. Quite disappointing, although it was a nice walk around the lake before sitting on the grass and enjoying our lunch and an icecream afterwards. The area was fairly wet with mud between the bridges so perhaps the cache has been washed away in the recent weather?
Harrowang and Beavar spent the best part of an hour searching here. It was indeed a lovely gully with ferns galore and the water was clean and sweet. The last finder said the cache was in very poor condition, so maybe it has been washed away or thrown away. It is some weeks since it was found and we have had some wild winds and rain in between. GeoPa seems to have been a tasty treat for some leeches although he was unaware of it while we were searching for the cache. We enjoyed our walk around Lake Guy, but were most disappointed at being unable to find the geocache. Not sure if the owners are still playing the game, but someone needs to check if the Cache is still there!
Found in a great spot in V poor condition, wish we'd thought to bring a new one
What a beautiful walk around the lake! The dam wall was the best part. Was a bit wet getting off track a couple of meters to grab this one, but always worth it TFTC
Another beautiful spot I would never have found without searching for a cache. Birdkage had the eye for this one. TFTC.

Had a poke around under the ferns but didn't find anything. Nice walk, though interesting view of the dam!
We didn't find it last year but we did this year! Cache is in very bad condition, we didn't write in the log as it was very wet.
The container is cracked and the contents is wet and decomposing. Needs to be replaced.
Found 29/72012 quite damp lid badly cracked.beautiful spot thanks for the cache. Took army soldier left aldi token. P&B
Nice walk around the lake. Trackable wasn't there so I guess the people who found it yesterday must have it, just haven't logged it yet... TN left bottlecap. Log book is a bit damp as the container lid is cracked.
Sad to say that after reading the hints and all the log entries, and looking for an hour we didn't find it! So disappointed.
A short walk for half of the realdoggy2003 team. The other half staying on the other side of the lake. This is possibly our highest find to date. A beautiful little area with the small creeks running. Found cache after a 20 minute search and a few waits after letting Muggles walk past. Though the log was signed, it was a little damp, despite being in ziplock bags. The other contents were waterlogged. Overall it was a great cache to find. TNLN. Signed logbook.
Thanks Forrest boys for the cache and for bringing us to this area.

#1209 @ 1.55pm. Our 1st of what was to be a fantastic afternoon of caching with bogonghazy and Team haveanez. A lovely walking track into this cache after we had a spot of lunch back near where we had parked. With pretty good co-ords, considering the area, Dad was able to extract the cache from its niche. TNLN huge thanks forrest boys for bringing us to this fabulous spot.
Found it with Mum & Dad skullracing - a very nice spot! I really liked the walk and looking over the water, it was very pretty here.
Found in the company of Skullracing & Bogonghazy on a great day out & about in the area!
Enjoyed lunch at the picnic area before setting off for the walk. A beaut spot by the creek!
A great walk & views of the lake on the way.

Last time I was in Bogong village was back when our boys were little: quite a while back. They are all men with kids of their own so it's a few years ago. The first thing I noticed was that the place is looking rather seedy with the garden beds untended and the grass not mown etc. It's still a lovely place but my impression is that AGL is not looking after it like the old SEC used to. I suspect like many companies these days their only interest is the profit margin.
Still despite my first impression we had a very nice stroll to the cache and Jen found it fairly quickly which is good because I wasn't looking in the right spot or anywhere near it really. Across both bridges and turn left might help future finders. (I hope you don't mind me giving the hint).
We topped it off with a cuppa and a chicken sandwich in the shade back at the car so all in all we really enjoyed it.
Thanks indeed forrest boys.

I always loved Bogong village, but this is the first time I've seen it since the 2003 fires. It was a pity to see just about everything in the town is for sale, the shop, the Outdoor Education Centre. It'll be reduced to a picnic ground in a decade...
That said, it makes a very beautiful picnic ground. I remember many a summers picnic alongside the lake, and the walk was always a must do. It was nice to be able to take Fi on the walk, and pick up a cache, even if she did find the dam wall crossing a bit scary.
We filled up waterbottles at the creek, delicious of course, and dropped off a TB. The Dutch Waterworks likes to go to man made water retaining structures, the hydro electric scheme fits in nicely

I am logging my find for this quite late, yes, the found date is Aug 2010 and adding my entry now 2013. for my log in my number of finds is quote low, has always gone geocaching with geohubby, aquaman. He's done his logs and I never got around to doing mine. Finally sick of having such a low find count, as I know I've found more. Anyway, has aquaman said in his log, by golly it was cold, had gloves and hat and jacket and scarf 'n' the works. A beautiful walk, it snowed on us a little bit.
Found it in the rain and the cold and a little bit of falling snow.... it was soooo cold. Lovely work around the lake though, we will have to do it again in warmer weather. We are from QLD so the weather was not our friend, but this was our only day for caching. TFTC TNLN
This one had me confused, but finally found afterabout 30 mins search.
I battled the blackberrys, moved rocks and even found an orienteering marker.
Took nothing but photos and left nothing but footprints.
TFTC even if it was a bit of a bugger.

I resorted looking at the hint photos but to no avail. The leaf litter around after the 100mm of rain over the past few days may have hindered the search. forrest boys - you may like to check it yourselves. None the less a wonderful walk in one of Victoria's most beautiful places, so thanks for the walk!

Loaded up the gardening gloves and secateurs and headed off via the new power station. Its all appropiate as I'm reading a history of the Kiewa Hydro scheme. Anyway arrived at the Gz site and spent a bit of time cutting blackberries but no find. Reread the instructions and had another think and Gz in hand and no blackberries at ground Gz. Thanks for the hike Forest Boys.
Spent 15 min looking for this cache with no luck. The blackberries are covering some of the area, as speedwah says maybe take some secateurs gloves and some roundup.

We have walked this track in non-caching days, but with the hydro works in progress we decided to drive to the top of the lake. Not only was access more direct but a nice study of some of the construction was afforded. With a pleasant trot to GZ the container was quickly in hand despite the odd blackberry snagging. TNLN TFTC
Thank you for the great civil engineering experience. Fancy walking through a dam wall, followed by passing by the construction of a new power station. Wow! Lovely walk on a summer evening. TNLNSL. TFTC.
Had a nice BBQ at the top picnic area, and did a quick walk to GZ. It's a great spot for a cache, although the bush rats have had a crack at the lid of the cache, so things were a little damp. Tried to cover better and hopefully no more probs. Thanks FTC TNLNSL
After a 30 minute search during mossie feeding time for the locals, we had to give up on this one. Hopefully it is still there, and simply elusive. Lifted all timber available, shifted every rock, moved all reeds, missed the cache. We did have a fantastic walk though, and thoroughly enjoyed the dam. We have memories of Lake Guy when full - it will be great to see it full again when we try next time!!!
It was a beautiful day for a walk, and I've never walked through a dam before, so that added to the interest. At GZ, the GPS faltered, so I ended up resorting to the clue. It still took a few minutes to locate it.
Once the duties were performed, I continued around the rest of the loop to get a close up view of the construction site. It is progressing well. The lake was very low, but I couldn't determine whether it was due to the construction or the drought. I remember canoeing on the lake over twenty years ago, back when it was full. Thanks again to the forrest boys for the cache, and an enjoyable and interesting walk.

Bogong Village has been the start and finish of a couple of bushwalks for me, but I've never really stopped over and had a look around. There's always another destination on the Bogong High Plains on my mind, or the stomach is craving some pizza on the way down the mountain! Now this cache finally enticed me to stop and enjoy the place.
Being an engineer I enjoyed the walk through the dam wall. It's not the first or largest I've walked through, but it's great to see it open to the public. I also appreciated the works being undertaken on the new power station.
Dodgey GPS reception at GZ meant I had to decrypt the hint, and the cache was quickly soon after.
TNLN as I had left the trackables bag in the car. Thanks forrest boys for the stopover, the stroll & the scenery!

Stopped off on the way back down the mountain after staying at Youngs hut for the night to find this cache. Some major construction going on here with the new Bogong power station, and plenty of people around taking a dip in the cool waters on a hot day.
Surprising to see the high number of walkers using the path today, and nearly all had been wearing shorts and thongs / sandals along the narrow overgrown path. I must have looked paranoid about snakes with my long pants, gaiters and hiking boots on. Must say it was very humid walking along the path under the trees, very temted to have a dip myself before leaving.
Cache was found after a couple of minutes search, TB picked up to move along, log signed and I was off again. TFTC. Cheers.

Without the clues we had no luck. Checked out most trees, ferns logs and rocks. A nice distration all the same on the way back from the snow. Maybe next year we will give it another go.
