As per previous entries, think this one has gone walk about. cheers

24-May-14
Searched, found some likely spots but no cache.

21-Apr-14
Did not find it. We think that the box has disappeared with the recent floods...?

10-Apr-14
We searched as much as the day's over-abundance of Mosquito's would allow, but in the end they won out & we DNF. It's such a beautiful park though... pack a picnic lunch, be sure to remember the bug spay & hopefully you'll have better luck than us! Smile

09-Feb-14
After my fourth visit to find this cache, we searched for quiet a while in the area here the gps was leading us but we were unable to find it.

14-Sep-13
Found while doing a platypus survey. No platypus seen though.

19-Aug-13
Thanks for the cache. I've left some dry paper so people can log their visits and isolated the wet log in separate bags.

14-Aug-13
The cache is very wet and the log is a sodden mass, way too wet to write in. Sorry we didn't have any supplies with us. Will need to be replaced.

14-Aug-13
We continued around the road after finding CaleD Goes Bush Again. There are some very interesting residences in this area.
This is really a lovely park. Two people were fishing in the big pool, but no-one else was around. We found the cache pretty easily, although co-ords are about 10m out according to our GPS.
But, it is totally drowned. The log book is a sodden mess and way to wet to write in. Unfortunately we didn't have any supplies with us, sorry.
Thanks CaleD, a really nice area.

20-Jul-13
Very first cache. Unfortunately the log is too wet to sign. Great fun though!

18-May-13
Cache is still here... Just a bit soggy..

25-Nov-12
Did find 2 snakes but no cache. I live nearby and the riverbed is routinely scoured by floods. GPS said middle of creek but no joy. Geotoddlers impatient for a long look.

21-Nov-12
I went to these coordinates and I couldn't find anything. Don't know what's going on?

23-Oct-11
Well this was our first DNF for awhile. 4 sets of eyes, but a GPS
that was flicking around so much it was dizzy! (My fault for buying a cheap one!) it really doesn't like trees.

Found what we considered a really good spot, but gave up today Sad
We'll be back with a picnic and fishing rods, lovely spot!

20-Jul-11
Great hide,I nearly gave up on this.
The log is still damp but it is OK.
Thanks CaleD.

19-Jun-11
Have to go home now.... the Geopup has run all through the really manky water and didn't want to return to the geomobile he is now a mess. The log is a bit damp but signable still TFTC CaleD

19-Jun-11
Really good but no crowd park with all the good gear and creek. got into trouble for letting go of geopup who made the most of it in the water! TFTC.

15-May-11
Great hunt, pretty cool little hiding area. Thanks caleD.
Kookaburras

30-Apr-11
Very wet area, not helped by the road works which seem to be nearing completion.
Log damp but still able to sign. Swapped ball for frog.
Thanks CaleD.

09-Apr-11
Despite some work being done near GZ, this one is safe and sound in its home. The co-ords seemed a little off for me - but the hint helped enough to locate the beast. It is a little damp - but in useable condition. TFTC CaleD Smile

16-Jan-11
I was in the area looking for a couple of caches.

It looks like the water was really flowing down this creek at some stage and there are signs of the water flowing through the caches hiding spot. The cache was safe and sound.

Thanks for the cache CaleD.

The log was a bit wet so I shouted it a new plastic bag to help keep it dry.

While signing the log one of those pesky cache dwelling frogs hopped on in.

28-Nov-10
Again like previous searchers we were on the wrong side. Once we read the previous logs we had the cache in hand within minutes. Nice and quiet in the park today even though it was a Sunday. Thanks for the cache

21-Nov-10
No# 12 for the day and 33rd for the weekend. Enjoyed the area. Lovely River Oaks. I am always amazed at how they can stand up to flood waters. Found cache easily once we picked the right one. Attacked by a Staffie with lots of kisses!

21-Nov-10
Last for today, watched a little staffie run away from owners then raced around and returned to them, he didn't stay to help find the cache. TFTC

22-Aug-10
Great cache and great spot. Tftc.

Lovley spot.
My son left a shell and took a ball Smile. TFTC.

28-Jul-10
Not on the downhill side but [found this cache today on an extremely wet Wednesday. The rain was torrential, flooding roads, making visibility poor at times. Had to go out though as we had a couple of caches to find for Bristracker to get her 300th find. This was her 299th. Success.! Glad to have found it in our raincoats and umbrellas. TNLNSL. TFTC!]

28-Jul-10
Found in short break from pouring rain on a very wet Gold Coast day. I had looked for this one several times before when I was working in West Burleigh last year, but today had GPSr as well as iPhone and Aussie Liahona along on the hunt. I had thought the cache was on the low side of a tree but it turned out not to be. Also a small container, not what I would call regular. Very glad to find this at last as Number 299 on my 12 month anniversay of caching. Too wet to do more than sign log and race back to re-hide.

Althought this was a day for ducks there was no way to take photos. So here are a few I prepared earlier LOL .TFTC.

Found the cache with geowife goodlooker and geodog on a days outing. TNLN. TFTC

22-Jan-10
A great little spot. We walked down the creek bed before realising we didn't need to. Red Face

Treated ourselves a paddle in the creek after cache was found, signed and rehid.

We stopped at the park here to have some lunch and what do you know, there was a cache to be found. TFTC

21-Nov-09

11-Oct-09
Papadavid and I made this our second find for the day. Both of our GPS devices were having trouble deciding where we were, and between us we identified 4 completely different trees that were apparently in the right coords! I *almost* stayed dry and clean, but ONE wrong step left me a little muddy. There was about 20 minutes of searching, and in the end I was examining an area with a GPS that told me I was 2m from the cache when Papadavid, a good 25m away, plucked the cache from its hiding place and called me over!

11-Oct-09
We tried to hard to find this one! The GPS was a bit confused and kept telling lies!!!

We scrambled up and down, over and under. We knew where it probably should be but could not find it and searched further and wider than necessary. Then went back to basics and started again - found it almost straight away.

The cache is a bit damp and could probably benefit from new silica gel (sorry, we did not have any with us).

TFTC.

09-Oct-09
Feel better now I have read the later logs. My GPS was doing the same thing. Next time I'm taking 2 instruments. Think the problem was that once the device fixes on something it won't re-read until I close out of the first read completely. Guess that's what's meant by "re-entries". Frustrating. Also good to learn about the river landforms from other posts.

09-Oct-09
Nice drive up the Tallebudgera Valley. Great pool and riffle sequence at GZ for those interested in river landforms. Thanks for bringing us here CaleD. Undercover Duo

27-Sep-09
Great spot. Well hidden cache although if this was my lunch box I'd lose a lot of weight! TFTC.

Great spot and the ducks were very friendly. They helped us find the cache.
Found after a few minutes once the GPSr settled down.

Found without too much difficulty. Have been to this park in the past to do a cache that is further down towards the bridge. TFTC TNLN

04-Dec-08
Found it ok. Have to admit it was a small lunchbox. TNLN.

09-Nov-08
Hadn't been geocaching for a while so this was a nice easy one to find in a pleasant setting. TNLN signed log.

05-Nov-08
Dropped by this afternoon. Cache is still there, and fairly exposed! Covered it up again for the next finder.

03-Nov-08
I'm not convinced that this cache is still there. Searched in likely spots, but it appears that there has been a flood through this creek (debris fairly high up), and this may have taken the container...

04-Oct-08
Found It!

16-Jul-08
Grabed this one on a short caching trip with the oompah's.
Cache nice and dry, but the weather was not so good, it was raining cat's and dogs. T/N/L/N/S/L Thanks for the cache ./
Regards Angel Dust.

16-Jul-08
Was with Angel Dust for this cache our last one for the day, pouring down when we found it, so quickly signed the log rehid the cache then off home to get dry. Thanks CaleD

22-Apr-08
The river was still flowing nicely today Smile
Looking at the debris lodged in the trees way up above my head it has obviously been flowing a bit more vigorously recently [:o]
The new cache was found without much difficulty though and dry feet Big Grin
TFTC in a lovely little spot [^]

27-Feb-08
...and we're back! GZ is now in a slightly different place, where the risk of it being washed away is reduced Smile. Just be sure to hide it carefully so people don't come along and muggle it. Have fun! Smile

** Coordinates Changed From **

Distance From Old: 164.4 feet
Updating coords for GZ. They're now less likely to be washed away!

19-Jan-08
Appears that this cache (unsurprisingly) got washed away in the rain. I'm temporarily disabling it until I can get my hands on a micro and replace it with something a little smaller and concealable.

18-Jan-08
Due to the heavy rain, I think it is unlikely that this cache will still be where it is meant to be. As such, I will check on its condition as soon as I can, and may need to convert it to a micro or archive it.

03-Jan-08
I really enjoyed the visit to this little reserve. The cache was quite difficult to find as it was well hidden from anyone just walking past. The water level was up quite high too, my GPSr was even suggesting I might have to swim to find it!

Thanks,

R + O - B

This cache is located in a very pretty location which I had to myself early this morning. The creek was running well and the cache has a briliant hidey hole. Thanks CaleD. TNLN

21-Dec-07
Out caching with Angermanagement today.Found this one along the way to another CaleD cache TFTC.

21-Dec-07
Out doing CaleD cache chase and stopped to get this one. What a lovely spot with the creek flowing very nicely. Unfortunately with the rain that we have had recently the creek must have gone a bit higher and the contents of the cache is wet. Log book relatively dry. TFTC.

20-Nov-07
A nice easy one to finish the day. We wondered where the Oaks were, then guessed that it was actually SHEoaks being referred to Big Grin

19-Nov-07
On a beautiful sunny QLd day we headed out to do some caching. Thought we would start in a lovely place close to home.
What a beautiful little spot to come and picnic at.
Grabbed cache signed log and geo-daughter claimed donkey for her own (did you know that it talked and is very annoying/ We Do!)
Left ipod speaker.

Had to come back after the muggles had gone, but found easily after that. Loved the hiding spot!
Checked on the Geocaching Australia http://geocaching.com.au cache nearby, "G'Day Beautiful # II" by Mix http://geocaching.com.au/cache/ga0499 and found it missing, but it's been replaced and is ready to find! Go find it! S28° 9.709' E153° 23.750'

Ack! How to find the wrong way into the cache when you are travelling without maps or knowledge of the area. We of course took the wrong road and had a lot of back tracking to get to the cache.
Once at GZ thouhg, the cache was a nice easy find and very close to the car, so the kids couldn't complain too much about having to walk too far in the heat.
Took nothing, left nothing.
Thanks CaleD for the opportunity to grab this cache as our last for the day on our holiday in your sun blessed state.

I found this cache with caughtatwork and the rest of the family today. It was a nice short walk from the car and caughtatwork did the finding as that was waaaaaaaay to hard for my little legs. Thank you CaleD.

WOOOT *FTF*

Well, seeing this new cache when I got home from work proved I may be a little obsessed. The first thing that entered my mind was how hard is it raining, will my GPSr work... YES! and 7 satellites too. OK get dinner out of the way and get out to find this thing.

So I arrive at the location and the rain hasn't eased off, but still getting good signal. I almost had to swim across the park to the cache, after such a long dry spell the ground is just repelling the water. Coords look spot on Cale, my gear had me at 1m when I put it away and started searching. Thankfully the booty was in my hands a minute or so later, muddy shoes and all. Walked (read: swam) back to the car so I didn't get your very neatly labeled logbook wet while filling it out and then back to return it to it's hide.

Great little spot here Cale, been planning one here myself since I started caching but never got around to it. Glad someone else is sticking some caches around the coast, I've found most of the existing ones and would be no fun finding my own. Now we just need to stick a bee under zactyl and get him moving too.

Thanks for the cache CaleD
