Wesso Family I didn’t find your cache Windy park on 10/7/2022, 3:05 pm. Searched around but couldn’t find it. Was windy today maybe blown away? Haha.
Birdwhistle's seminal tome Legendes and Antiquities of the Ramtops lists the traditional degrees of falconry permissible in the Kingdom of Lancre.
Strict rules of custom and etiquette decide which birds of prey are permissible to the individual depending on their social status.
The gradations are as follows:-
The King may fly a gyrfalcon (whatever the hell this is). (For those of worryingly exacting bent, a gyrfalcon is the largest falcon on Roundworld).
The Queen may fly a Lancre Wowhawk or Lappet-faced Worrier.
Any Earl in the vicinity may fly a peregrine falcon.
Any priest may fly a sparrowhawk.
The Peasantry may have a stick to throw. (This is a liberal forward-thinking monarchy)
It is possible that Nanny Ogg might be permitted a chicken on a spring.

I was not expecting to find it away from the park in the long grass but there it was. Log is soaked. Thanks for the cache
Love getting my shoes wet walking through long grass. If someone comes here in the next few days they will be able to follow my trail into the long grass. Thanks Wesso family for this one. The park was not that windy today.
Needed to deal with soaked ground and fear of tall grass But rewarded for our effort
I've wanted to find this cache for years now, and always wondered what gz would look like.
The park looked kinda liked i imagined, gz on the other hand, absolutely not.
In fact i didn't find it on the first pass.
I got to within a metre, then got nervous and was further afield.
Read some logs, went back in and found it immediately.
Of course there was a degree of trepidation, as i'm sure you can understand. At least it's probably not going to be muggled.
Thanks wesso family for keeping this old one alive for us to enjoy. Might be my oldest find of yours. Who's the original planter? D.d.dudes, curtdog? Pure sri?
Thanks again wesso, sorry i'm so tardy on digital logs.

Stopped by to tick off the list but wasn’t wearing shoes so didn’t go too deep, or at-least not deep enough
A mid week adventure, with some fun Geocaching with buddies. We found this one without too much effort and really enjoyed our day in this area. Some beautiful bushland along the way today.

A major change of plans this Easter due to torrential rain and flood warnings (anyone else, haha?!). Instead of this being day one of a 58km hike which would have ended up being a T5 without a kayak, and perhaps a helicopter exit... it evolved into a lovely day with kestal, WallabyWanderers and Zelda the fabulous. Ah yes, 'you may take our travel plans but you cannot take our freedom!!' Or something like that, lol. It was no real surprise that we ended up still having a thoroughly enjoyable time. This cache contributed to that, and was found in between raindrops and laughter. This park was where we surrendered to having soggy footwear, as despite not needing to cross 'that' waterway, the park itself was pretty much a waterway. Fun times!
Thanks for the cache, Wesso Family!
Thanks for the cache, Wesso Family!
Out with Caro, WallabyWanderers and Zelda for the day after our regional plans were thwarted. I spotted this one on the made as we were cruising along and suggested we tick it off. Driver happily obliged and we pulled up near GZ. We had dry feet before we started this one and now they were thoroughly wet through. Thankfully Caro spotted what we came for and a smiley was added to our list. TFTC Wesso Family

After an all-terrain CITO to get the day underway, 1MinniMoo and I nicked off to the Sunny Coast to find mostly older caches - like this one. Well, there was wind, there was a park - name checks out. Cool. And an unexpected spot - hint is spot on.
Thanks Adopted by Wesso Family for entertaining me at this location.

6/3/21 Find #4629
Having attended a CITO to start the day, the rest of the day was planned out relatively meticulously Pprime style. The goal was to grab some older caches around the Sunshine Coast.
We wondered if in fact it would be a windy park as we drove along - after all, we wouldn’t mind a bit of a wind to help dry out our clothes after getting caught in a massive downpour a little earlier.
Well we parked the car and climbed out. Yep the name checked out! It was a park, and it was windy!
Over we headed, and a bit of a stomp around in the long grass, at first wondering if we’d need to cross the body of water, but soon discovering we were on the right side and Crossing would not be necessary.
Thanks for the cache Wesso Family.

After our fun day on the water collecting the Maroochy River caches, I stopped here to grab this cache before meeting up with my fellow geocacher friends at our overnight accommodation.
Checked one spot but couldn't find it but checked the hint and found the hide.
SL then returned as found.

Had a DNF here last month. I'm really bad at caching alone. I overthink and haven't got the courage to confront my fear of encountering snakes, so I ventured further and missed the cache totally. Glad to have dahumbug with me tonight who guided me to where he found it more than 7 years ago!
Thanks for the cache and taking us here curtdog and Wesso Family. Enjoyed the hunt.
Please check out https://coord.info/GC8M4ZQ - CacheQLD - Dayboro - Queensland's Next Big Event 03 April 2021, 07:00 - 23:45 and log your will attend. It's going to be a great event.

No luck here today. My gps took me somewhere where there were no rocks nor trees, found a hardened dog poo instead. Glad I didn't pick it up.
Went back to my car and saw the likely gz mentioned in the hint. Only found a frog.
No Smiley for me. I don't like caching alone especially when I can't find it. Ha ha...
Thanks for taking us here curtdog - and Wesso Family. Nice place. Now that I have more info I will be back.

Quick find with bennyboppers and mnance101 today while staying at maroochy river. We rocked on. Tftc
On the way home from visiting my mum at peregian springs I treated myself to a couple of smileys. It was very windy at this park and at gz the grass was long but I spotted a geo trail which led to the cache. Thanks for placing this cache here for us to enjoy
On our way home slowly after the QOGM event in Blackall and finding some great geocaches along the way.
If the log sheet is small we may sign as CG. We also visit any trackables that may be travelling along with us for mileage.
Lots of thanks to curtdog - Adopted by Wesso Family for placing the cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.

Saturday afternoon, slight drizzle of rain, deserted park with pools of water among the grass - oooh! wet shoes, Uggh!
Not a difficult find, but the log is full although still room to write at the bottom of previously used pages. TFTC, curtdog and Wesso Family.

there are a number of caches in the area that are on my list of the oldest 1000 active caches that I haven't found. this was one of them.
There was an RV parked close but there was no activity from there so I strolled over and through the long grass for a quick find.

First cache for the day as we slowly head south, unfortunately passing hundreds of caches and picking up the odd one.
This one had a fairly obvious geotrail heading towards it, and from the geotrail the clue was soon spotted.
Thanks.

Yep, windy and wet. Left a write in rain log sheet and left a traveller to send on it's way at last. SL, TFTC
Bit tricky. I followed the verbal clues when I had no luck the followed the coordinates!
Couldn’t get to gz as park waterlogged and grass left to grow as high as the field beyond it
Had to wait for some young yahoos to vacate the geozone to have a look. Geokid made the find. Tip about the rock helped! Trackable taken and trackable left
Great spot for this one, took some finding. Log is getting full but still a few spots left. TFTC
Find #19 for the day and starting to lose light. Saw this on the map on my way home. Fingers crossed I can get one more! TFTC
Requires bit of a dig, don't pay much mind to the paperbark tree. Tftc good one
A windy park, indeed. Weren't keen on the long grass visible behind the cache as we’re sure many s are lurking! The sneaky rock is hard to spot until you get to GZ. Lid was loose when we first handled the cache but, besides that, it’s in good condition. Swapped out a bug for a dice.
On the way to Brisbane we stopped here to strech the legs and look for the cache at 11:30 a. m.

We are nomads. Having left Perth WA in February 2014 we now live in our caravan and go wherever the will or caches take us.
Staying a few days in Maroochydore, the plan was to head out to do a full day caching. Well we got back just after 4.30pm with 30+ and in time for happy hour to catch up with El Peregrinos.

Our third attempt to get to this cache with the first two times being foiled by people parking here. This time not a soul to be seen - yay! A quick find away from where we originally thought it would be.
Accompanied Gcoven and woodyrothwell on their sunny coast cache drug run. Windy Park was just off the road and it was, well named. Someone had set up camp at one end with a couple of not so friendly or well trained dogs.
A quick park n grab cache. Thanks for maintaining this cache Wesso Family.

We had been caching around the Sunshine Coast and the day seemed pleasant and calm until we got out of the car to find this cache. As expected and on cue the wind started. In fact it was the only spot we felt wind all day. I can only assume it is one of those Bermuda Triangle things where the weather can not be explained by anything except maybe magic.
TeamARF went off to pat a dog and almost lost a hand whilst Gcoven uncovered the cache. I wanted to take a selfie of myself but my hair was blowing in the wind and it would have made for an ugly photo. I'm already ugly so it would have been double-ugly. tftc

Wanted to drop off a TB before heading to the airport so good to see a geo a little bigger. TFTC
