We tried very hard to find it bit sadly did not find it after easy finding it last year with out a GPS
Went to the spot but didnt look as there were way too many people around. Great spot though! Loved watching the seal pups! Will definitely be back.
This is not there, or somebody's GPS is way off. Worth a visit for the seals though.
No luck. Heaps of people, and tried in about a million places anyway, but couldn't spy anything.
Looked and looked but came up empty. Stopping at high favourite caches. This one is number 30 in the South Island. Need to come back.
Was a lucky find! I suggest reading the hint first as there is no cell coverage! Awesome cach lots of cute seals!
No luck today so many people but nice to see over 20 small seals playing in water
Bei unserm Neuseeland Urlaub auch hier vorbei gekommen... Gesucht und gefunden! Tolle Gegend hier...!!!

No seals today... But the falls were gorgeous and the weather treated us well. Great place for a hide. Thanks for the geocache.
A lovely little stroll! It must be magic to see the seal pups swimming in here in winter. TFTC.
#21 of our clockwise circumnavigation of the photogenic South Island of New Zealend! Very different from our home in NSW in OZ!
Shame that there were no seals today! However this is still an excellent walk even when there are no seals here! TFTC!!!! (rated 4/5 great location)

Easy to find, but not so easy to replace - had to wait for the coast to clear! Thanks for the cache.
A quick stop in on my way north, I had picked up a Norwegian hitchhiker in Kaikoura so had to stop and show her this special little place. No reception so no hunting on my iphone, however on walking back out my caching eye spotted something at the bottom of the tree! BOOM Logged it! TFTC
Fantastic location !
The GPS-battery died on us when we were at 4O meters but fortunately we had read the tip so could make an estimated guess on where to look. Found the cache after some stumbling around but that was OK as we had the place completely to ourselves.

The last hoorah before cachelet #1 heads back to school and theWanglers spent a few nights in Kaikoura. We were heading out to the Ohau Stream waterfall to find some baby seals and since we weren't in a hurry we made a few stops. We arrived at Ohau Point but couldn't see the track to the waterfall and decided to head up a bit and when we came around the corner we spotted the park. It was full. We found a park and headed up to the falls. It was spectacular. There weren't too many seal pups but enough, there were 20 or so. The kids loved it. I loved it and Mrs TheWanglers loved it. We stayed for ages. I nipped off with the youngest and went to sign the log. I spotted the cache on the way in and we found a lull in the foot traffic and made the grab. Such a cool spot. And a bonus to grab a cache too.
Thanks for the cache.

On a road trip to CHCH with the kids stop. The kids just loved the seals and we found a cach just by looking around (no GPS didn't even know if there was one there just looked in all the right pleases) TFTC
During our visit in beautiful New Zealand, we have naturally sought some caches. There were many memorable impressions on our trip and showed us some caches the New Zealand off the beaten path. You have a wonderful country! We thank all Ownern for the cache and send best regards from Germany, Saxony, Leipzig 2 Supermuggels
The waterfall was not the lovely peaceful falls that were here last time we visited, instead it was a raging torrent and the path by the bridge was underwater. This didnt stop the locals from having fun right up under the falls. Cache found quickly. Was nearly sprung by a couple of muggles but the pup 2 meters from the container was a great distraction for them. What an amazing experience, as I arrived at the pool, 3 little pups came charging over to me, I knelt down and put out my hand and they had a good sniff. I have seen a number of seals while out in my kayak but its not very often you get an opportunity like that to get up that close to these amazing creatures. TFTC it's one I wont forget in a hurry, what a way to bring up #800

This morning we went to Ohau point to have a look at the baby seals swimming in the waterfall. Cuteness overload!!! Lots of little ones climbing the rocks and playing in the ponds. Not all was nice and play and clearly the power of the strongest was displayed.
The cache was quickly located and logged, just takes a little while to get it unspotted by muggles...
Thanks for the cache,

Found during fozzmiester's South Island adventure. Great fun was had with clever hides and stunning locations encountered along the way. Many thanks to the owners of all the caches found and the enjoyment which you provided.
A truly amazing spot. Thanks for bringing me here to enjoy it. The nursery was in full swing today and the pups seem to have very little fear and went about their games. Well worth a favourite point TFTC
Dropped a TB but it had been grabbed from me before I could log it.

Decided to take a walk to the waterfall and totally unexpected were the seals playing in the stream. There were 2 sleeping so close to this cache, literally 2 meters away! Attached a photo - hope that's okay. TFTC!
Met somebody, that stayed at the same hostel a couple of weeks ago, at the waterfall. So walked back to the other cache oblivious of this one. Well, that's another round then. After reading about the GPS not being accurate I extended my search and got lucky. TFCT
Nice short walk. GPS signal was bad so we had to use the clue. Many muggles there. TFTC!
Happy New Year! A really great place!
After founding the cache we spent lot of time to watch the seals on the sea side.
Thanks for hiding.
PS: Unfortunately I forgott my pen so I take a Photolog.

Not so easy spending a lot of Time by looking under the wrong trees and in a forest there are a Lot of trees one last try ...get it , logg it, hide it again thank you very much for that amazing place
Driving along the coast from Christchurch to Nelson, I took the opportunity to cache along the route. It was a great and sunny day with lots of memorable discoveries and caches. Thanks to all owners!
Once I had the cache in hands a constant stream of people came along so I could not hide it again. I sat there on a stone and was bitten by little bugs all the time until finally I got a moment alone to bring back everything into place. Pheew!

Wow! Wow! Wow! That was amazing. And if ten pups frolicking under the waterfall wasn't enough, the two guarding the cache were extraordinarily entertaining. They weren't the least shy, coming right up to us which I admit made me a little nervous. They may be young but they still have sharp teeth which they displayed as they roughed each other up around the neck at times. They moved far enough away for us to retrieve the cache but of course were the centre of attention of all the muggles so it took quite some time before we could grab and sign. This will probably be the most memorable point of our trip.
That was the single most brilliant thing I've seen in New Zealand!! I was absolutely captivated by the 10 or so seal pups frolicking under the waterfall, twisting and diving and mock-fighting with each other, occasionally swimming up close to check out the humans. I cannot thank you enough for bringing us here . It took us quite a long time to tear ourselves away from them to go back and find the cache, and you'll never guess what we found literally at GZ! Two more seal pups, playing with each other! On top of the cache! We hovered, along with three other tourists, as they put on a bit of a show and then, curious creatures, they came right over to us, to within a meter. We had simply frozen in place to allow them past and didn't expect them to actually come over to us, but that's what they did and it was heart melting. It was only after perhaps 10 minutes that they moved off enough that we were released from their spell and remembered to get the cache. We managed to grab, sign and replace between tourists, but then we were 'trapped' behind the more curious of the two pups, who was sitting square on the path, staring at us. He even followed The Marble for some distance as she sidled past - must have recognized that maternal thing . An absolutely stunning experience and the highlight of my entire trip. TFTC, pharcanal. =^.^=
We are on our annual caching holiday with Skullracing touring round NZ before going to the Mega event. Not the nicest of days but we found a parking spot for the Britz and took the shirt walk up the track.
What a wonderful playground for these fur seals and they were putting on a good show for the many muggle visitors. geoD wandered off to find the cache but when he lost satellite reception he and Skulldaddy resorted to using the hint and it was quickly located.
This this was a nice cache for our 2200th.

#3248 GeoP and The GeoPrincess had wandered up to the Kaikoura coffee van for some morning heart starters before commencing our travels once again. The chap highly recommended this location & waddayaknow! there was a caching opportunity as well . A lovely walk toward the waterfall which reminded us of Tasmania. There were quite a number of seal pups frolicking at the base of the waterfall & we were all quite taken by the spectacle presented by these playful creatures. The GPS reception was what we expected, so resorting to the hint and by using a touch of "the force", Dad soon had the cache in hand. A very well presented cache in good condition, we left a Carpe Diem Pathtag for the next finder. A brilliant place to bring us pharcanal, a favourite from us. Cheers from Australia [^]

Loved the seal pups at the bottom of the waterfall - it is well worth the short walk. TFTC
I hadn't told the family what to expect at the end of the track, and since I'm the only one that actually reads the signs, they all got a very nice surprise (Mrs 1Grunta had originally planned to sit in the car and wait for us! - she's very glad she changed her mind)
Managed to pick up the cache without anyone spotting us, so walked with it over to the pool, and figured I could happily sign the log while everyone else was watching the show.
Thanks for bringing us here, such a cool little spot.

Greetings from Ayrshire, Scotland! I think this is my favourite cache ever! I love waterfall caches! I used to think that there was nothing you could add to them to make them better but I was wrong, all you need is a dozen baby seals! We couldn't believe our eyes as we watched them playing in the waterfall! What an amazing place! Nearly forgot about the cache?!? This is when it got tricky... A baby seal was holding court about 10ft away from it and the tourists were loving it! I had to sit down and wait it out before grabbing it and then another 10 minutes before I could replace it. The baby seal was good company though! Thank you for bringing us here, a definite favourite! TFTC

Passing by on way to Christchurch, usually stop to view the seals. This time dropped of the Volkswagen TB specifically....... Well worn track and cache a little exposed ( probably not noticed though) but re-hidden...Thanks
Had heard more and more about this place recently, so we made a weekend of it to come up. Amazing how many times we had been past without knowing. Well worth it. Thanks.
Very bad reception, but even without find, this place would be great success. What a beautiful place with lovely seal pups.
Thanks a lot for showing us this site!

Finally we found it. GPS coordinates are not very accurate, the searched tree was very close to the path. Very awesome place for a cache. Thanks.
Lovely walk with my 19mnth old son who swapped a game for a car, TFTC, pity no seals today in the pool.
In all of our many journeys on this road we have never taken the time to stop and complete the walk. The track was busy today but we managed to locate the cache and rehide it without being muggled TFTC.
