I collected all the numbers on a previous visit to the Uni. Today I looked in a lot of places but this whole area has been destroyed by the flood so I think the cache has been washed away.Team sissifalke logged it after the flood but from their pictures and the logbook the cache they found was actually PC Load Letter.
I stopped past a very compelling GZ this morning. It matched the clue of steep embankment and tree. Yet, similar to Peppa, it did not match the past photos.
Perhaps the information which is now only available on Google search provides different digits from the physical plaque. I will reach out to the CO to see where I went wrong..

We visited the posted coordinates yesterday, and were able to locate A & B without issue…. C & D failed to appear, and after questioning the staff discovered the painting was now in storage… I didn’t ask where it had hung though…
I acquired some numbers before wandering the latest exhibition…
My calculations took me to a likely spot but thanks to the insistent rain I walked… I confirmed my numbers with a previous finder, so returned again today when there was less rain about…
I made the mistake of looking at images… well that doesn’t look like my GZ… to describe it as “bare” would be an understatement…
Another day perhaps….

Regarding Mayne University (GC15Y1W):
Found this one with some muggles (hoping to convert into cachers!).
Was a great trip down memory lane as I didn’t know they had renamed Mayne Hall - shows how long it’s been since I had been there!

After going to the wrong coordinates, we hiked back along the trial and we finally found it! Great last cache for the day! Thank you for this multi
Today, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I took a visit to the University of Queensland in St Lucia. We thought with it being the weekend, it would be an ideal time in walking around with baby and visiting the main campus. We started out with completing the *UQ Educational Playground* Adventure Lab, and then had a walk around the Great Court whilst completing the virtual cache and *UQ-St Lucia* Wherigo adventure. A nice few hours in walking around the area, although there were not too many eating options available on a weekend for lunch!
I needed a multi-cache type for today, so it was good to see this multi-cache through to GZ. We ended up visiting the Posted Coordinates on 23/02/2021, where we obtained the answers for **A** and **B**. From there, we had a bit of trouble working out what to do next, and so I ended up returning home and having a proper read through with some further research. This multi-cache perhaps could have been laid out a little better, but maybe that is just my experience/comment.
So back again today, and we visited within the venue's opening hours, hunting around for the clue. There was an exhibit on offer, so from that perspective, it was still cool/nice to look around with a pram. We didn't really find the clue too prominently, other than it was on a small A4 information piece showing the clue, so it can easily be missed. We wondered if there was a larger portrait of James that used to occupy a wall here (or perhaps still does, but can be missed?).
With those two clues finally obtained, I took the opportunity to sit down and calculate GZ. It was then a short drive later that we parked nearby, and it took a little searching before eventually finding the cache nicely tucked away. We searched an initial tree that had quite a promising hiding spot, and so a second tree nearby contained something that we ended up seeing. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks totalube for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.
Note that this geocache was logged with the *Team Warren* Davidwazza/jesswrigley stamp.

Enjoying a beautiful day at UQ collecting as many caches as I can, I set about completing this multi.
Finding the info at the first WP was easy enough, I had to get a bit creative when heading inside to obtain the info I needed. Maybe it had been a quiet day for the team members working there, they were full of questions I told them I had been researching family history and this gentleman's name kept popping up.
With the information gathered I made my way to my calculated final and was happy to find a cache there.
Thanks totalube for the cache.

While at UQ finding the virtual, we stopped here find this cache after gathering the info on a previous visit. Somehow I had 2 different final coords and couldn't find the cache at either locations. So after reading the cache description again My east numbers were different again. Time was ticking away so decided to try these coords before heading back to Dayboro. Checked one location and sure enough there was the cache. SL then returned as found. Great multi.

After meeting up with GeoKirky and Captain Terror this morning for our previous find. We headed over to find this one with GeoKirky. Here we found ourselves looking down the side of hilled garden bed that over looks the Brisbane River.
After formulating the number from the way points and we had the found the best access which was slightly different to where we first thought, to the Geocache. We headed in for the find. After a small hunt and a think inside the box, we had the Geocache in hand. Quickly signed all our names, replaced the cache exactly how we found it and headed back to the car to log our finds.
Thank you for the Cache, Thank you the hunt and Took Nothing, Left Nothing and Signed Log.

After meeting up with Captain Terror we continued with GeoKirky to this puzzle. I found myself and my Geocaching family, looking for another Geocache I found myself looking down a hill overlooking the Brisbane River.
After working out the information for way points, we start to hunt for the Cache container. We finally found the Geocache. Container was not what I was expecting.

I had solved this one some time ago whilst walking the campus on my frequent wanderings, however, had not had the chance to obtain the final leg in appropriate attire.
Today, I had been caching nearby with Dfc_jlk2019, CaptainTerror and friends and so thought this was a great opportunity to finalise this one.
Heading to the GZ we cautiously headed to the right location, and while I was on one side, I heard a 'found it' from the other side. Great team work. This was also necessary to get back up to the mainland.
Great cache design that should hopefully protect against the elements.
Glad to have this one finished. I really did enjoy the tour around UQ learning about the local history. Thanks for providing the cache.

With tavel finally allowed I have managed to get to QLD to visit my friend.
And today we took an Uber off to UQ for some caching as it had several types there. All up 10 kilometers were walked and a couple of beers drunk.
Quickly spotted at GZ which is always a relief the calculations were good.
Thanks to totalube for the placement and fun.

Today's plan was to do the virtuals at UQ and this multi if possible. I wandered around the Great Court and surrounds collecting information. For this multi, I found A and B easily. Unfortunately the building where C and D were to be found is closed on Sundays. But I was able to Google the information, did the easy calculations and made my way to GZ.
Parking was easy but there were a number of students across the road. However, I wondered down to GZ and found the cache easily. Even though the area has recently been cleared a bit, there are still some prickly plants. Found a good place to sit but had to be careful not to drop the container into the river - it's very steep. Nice big container just containing the log crying out for some swappables but didn't have any on me this time.

Had a walk around UQ to get the info, but when I arrived at what I thought was GZ I wasn’t sure if it was the correct spot. Had a good look around for a few minutes, but gave up. I’ll need to check my numbers again and try again.
We had done all the maths on this many months ago but at the time it was overgrown at GZ and it looked like people had been doing a lot of pruning/cutback work. Today we were out in this area again, enjoying a lovely walk and thought we’d stop by to see if it was here. With slightly updated coordinates, we soon had the log signed although we note that this geocache is temporarily disabled.
Thanks totalube for this lovely multiand for bringing us through some very interesting areas of UQ.

I'm sorry, but your recent move has brought your cache too close to the Physical Waypoint of[GC7A0MC: UQ-St Lucia](http://coord.info/GC7A0MC) and will need to be moved. Please read the following item on [Cache Saturation](https://www.geocaching.com/play/guidelines?expand=1#cachesaturation)
I've disabled this listing for the time being, could you please move it to a new location that fits within the saturation guidelines. Once that is done you may enable the cache.

Got the coords but couldn't find the cache. Seems area may have changed and cache cleared up of buried under more thorns dumped over it.
Took a while to find this one. There is a lot of leaves at GZ. I beat them down with a handy stick.

We took the afternoon off, and came across to visit this multi. We had attempted this once before, but had come to a dead end due to the day, and not being able to access what was needed.
Today all was open, and we were very pleased to finally visit the UQ art museum, the pitch drop experiment, and various other beautiful exhibitions and museums at the University.
We derived a good set of numbers, and the map put the final GZ in a good location. At GZ, we could see that a lot of clearing of thornbushes has been done, and the area was quite bare. After some searching we called it quits and sadly will log a DNF.
This was such a good multi, and we will look forward to getting to the final at some stage in the future, but today, not for us.
Thanks

I had collected the information for this multi on my trip out here on Monday. I did not have enough time to get to GZ that day. Today I took the very scenic route home from work on the geocycle and did a lap around the campus to collect the two caches I had not found.
Had to PAF for help at final. The hint is well hidden in the nasty jungle of thorns. The terrain rating is well earned here.

Solved the puzzle, found the location as per photos from other catchers, but unable to locate the cache on this visit
I had a lot of fun finding this one. I typed the coordinates incorrectly the first time but I figured out my mistake and found it.
Sadly I had no luck with this one today, it was supposed to be one of my 8 types in a day, but the initial waypoint had me in the middle of a huge paved area out front of a building, I had a go at finding what I thought were the bits of info inside. then couldn't find the painting, so I googled the info but the coords I had didn't reveal any cache, another day perhaps because after 2 goes at this I had to move on to achieve my days goal
I had collected all the clues for this one on a day when I was avoiding work, but eventually I had to make my way back to the office. Was in the area on a weekend, so decided to go for a look at the GZ. Cache was found and signed quickly. TFTC!

1minniemoo and I had talked about the Mayne family related caches quite a few times but timing was always hard. Now being school holidays we decided to book in a day and get them done. So nyssaflutterby and I and a couple of the geo kids met her at Uq.
I thought I knew where we might be going for the second lot of info and I was right. I’d been here before on a Mayne family history tour and after a visit here I got to have afternoon tea with the author of the book about the Mayne’s. A shame I didn’t take better photos that day
So we put the info together and got some likely looking coords. Parking was a bit impossible there so I got out and located the cache super fast, perfect coords!

NyssaFlutterby, Wombles&Co and I had hatched a plan. A plan to finally get the other two Mayne caches, having grabbed the Mayne Crypt a while ago. I had also had the privilege of being lent the book by Wombles&Co, a very interesting read indeed.
Being school holidays we figured we could grab this one early on today, and make it over to the Mayne Residence by the Tuesday 1-2pm requirements. Normally a Tuesday would be near impossible for us otherwise.
Meeting Wombles&Co and NyssaFlutterby with two geomunchkins in tow, we set off. The required information was found quite quickly and numbers crunched.
Hmmm it's over there.
Lets get the wherigo first, then grab the final. That should work time wise perfectly.
Having grabbed the wherigo we headed down to make our final find. Wombles&Co spotted the cache quickly and put our names in the logbook.
Then it was off to the Residence to check out that gorgeous stained glass window!

This cach was very informative, as we learned some new things about the University we visit. Step 2 was not present, its on restauration they informed us at the entrance. Four days of geocaching all over Brisbane, mostly because I looked for nice natural places.
Some googling, some guessing, and I had enough information even though the building was closed. Some searching in the end but I found it finally.

I was on the opposite side of the world already and could not resist a short hop from New Zealand to Australia. In a week I visited Coolangatta and surroundings, Byron Bay, some other parts of Gold Coast, but most of the time was spent in Brisbane.

Felt a bit nostalgic doing this one, not just because I've sat in one of the clue locations on several occasions, either waiting to walk on stage or watching someone else walk on stage, but also because GZ is across the road from where I once lived for a short period of time!

Rolling around the campus feeling all chuffed at having just completed my russian multi mission, i was keen to try for another multi to round out the day, and seeing as i was already close by, honed in on the necessary info required here.
One helpful staff member even brought me more info about the mayne family, after she was excited to learn i wanted to gaze upon his likelihood.
Moving on, i soon had a good set of coords so dashed off in pursuit. As it was a suitable location and entertaining multi, i've dropped in a christmas trackable i have had waay too long.
Attached is an amusing photo of some uq wall carving. STRAYA!

OCjr requested me to pick up some Lego from Auchenflower, so I decided to make the most of my time in the area and find some caches too. While in the area I visited the grand buildings of this establishment, and gathered up the required info before sitting under a shady tree and totting up the final.

Thursday fun day is here again and so is Mrs JAT back from her FNQ holiday, so it's the 3 girls (Rio, bb and Mrs JAT) out and about on the dark side today
bb and I had visited UQ ages ago to pick up some caches and although we had visited all of the waypoints associated with this multi, we ran out of time to look for the cache before school pick-up. Fast forward to today and we were determined to get our names on the log. We were very happy to see that access to GZ was nice and easy, what a lovely little area - lots of habitat for the birds and native animals living close to the uni. Thankfully, we only found the cache and no barker's eggs and the geocoin is now off on an adventure with bb. TFTC totalube

Great fun this afternoon.
Came to UQ for meeting, stayed for lunch and wandered around the halls for a bit.
Lots of fun history and was really good to see some of the artworks in the gallery here.
Thank you for this cache.
GZ was obviously correct, however watch for barker's eggs...
Dropped Coin here to for the next lucky finder.

We really enjoyed this multi. On the odd occasions we come to UQ we always marvel at the grandeur of the main buildings. It really says that you are entering a very special place. The data for the multi was obtained without any hassles. Then it was off to GZ where after a short search, the cache was in hand. The cache and its contents were in good condition. Thanks totalube for an enjoyable multi.
This is the second encounter I've had with the Mayne family in the last few weeks. I have thoroughly enjoyed this journey into local history and will now seek out "The Mayne Inheritance" to read. I'm really looking forward to the rest in the series. Tftc totalube
With a bit of time to spare, stortigirls and I set about finding what was needed for this cache. Not too busy here today, so we were lucky enough to find a carpark close by. It has been a long time since I have been here, but not much has changed, except the use of one particular building that we visited. Information gathered, we were soon on our way to find the cache. At GZ, my phone was again rather flaky, but stortigirls was able to narrow down the caches hiding spot and add our names to the log. TFTC
I had a wander around UQ campus today. The information at WP1 was blocked by a group of students when I arrived but I managed to get a glimpse of the important part. From here, it was quite obvious where the next WP should be.
After some quick calculations, with at least 5 crashes of c:geo, I was pleased to see that GZ was just a few metres of my car. At the first look, I thought NO but inspection of the site revealed that there were a few less thorny options. Armed with a stick, I poked here and here and soon the familiar stick-tapping-sistema-container sound appeared. The cache is in excellent condition.

Went back right after leaving a did not find and under layers of leaves we got it!
Hidden 2007 - of course this is on my hit list. But like so much else in this part of the planet .... how smart is a Prime`? Well, this is less of a mental challenge than most around here, although does take a bit of scheduling and coordination of self. However, I have picked up the numbers and thus coordinates for this over recent times - via various means - but was sadly unable to take the time during a recent weekend visiting raid to the area.
But
Found myself in the area again tonight and thought it well past time to visit this particular part of the University of Mayne. So as dusk fell, and the oh-so-young, and rather fit looking, intelli-muggles jogged or sashayed past, I nipped off the beaten and in two attempts had a container in hand.
Thanks for placing this cache, totalube. Found in good condition.

This was our (RMJAH and Esken6) second visit to GZ. We had figured out the GZ coordinates previously (thanks for an interesting introduction to the history of UQ!). On our first visit, we didn't find the cache, but today, with better light and more time, we found it. Everything was as it should be. Our GPS brought us to GZ, and the hint proved useful. TFTC.
I had a little more spare time at uni today than I had anticipated and decided to have a look at this cache.
I have never been in this building before. It's certainly a beauty. I found the information at the first waypoint easily enough. Thanks to one of the student apps the uni provides, I found the location of the second waypoint and headed over.
After having to leave my backpack at reception, I wandered in and had a look around but I wasn't able to find the painting in question. I did see some nice art though. In the end I had to resort to a quick interweb search and uncovered what I needed.
With plenty of spare time still, I made the trek to GZ and, after waiting for a few pedestrians and cars to pass by, plunged in.
After having a quick look around, I wasn't sure if I was in the right place. It just didn't seem like a likely spot. But luckily, this meant that there weren't too many options to search and I quickly had the cache in hand.

Picked up the clues for this multi on an earlier trip to UQ but run out of time to collect. After picking up a close by puzzle, had just enough time from a lunch break to collect. Had pre-read previous logs and had a general idea what feature to look for. Found quickly and in good condition. TFTC totalube
There are a smattering of older Multis and Puzzles I have not done in the Brisbane region. For the life of me, I do not know why. Being an older cache, I was keen to grab this one.
Sweet_bee and I found some good parking and made our way to the co-ords. So it took me a while to cotton on what was going on here. I found some answers.. but where to get the rest?
A resourceful Fangsoki soon found where we should be looking next. Our next GZ took nearly as long to find what we wanted. I had gone right past it. It was Sweet_bee who spotted our next clue. I did my sums... and had a GZ.
Sweet_bee had to be work by a certain time, so we motored toward GZ. We arrived and after widening our search area a whisker, we soon had the cache in hand. It is in excellent condition. We signed the log and re-hid the cache and zipped back to the car. Job done.
It was interesting visiting the various areas of the University. An interesting little multi as well. TFTC totalube

Got all the info and found myself at a GZ which seemed to fit, but no luck today.
Having cracked the coords for this earlier last week it was put in the backburner until i had enough time to grab it. Today between workshops was that time. A nice stroll lead me to an attractive looking gz. Great place to have a search and i soon had this cache in hand. Impressed with the swag i SLTNLN. TFTC.
Had a bit of time this pm while the geokids were being entertained so geohubby and I decided to stroll through UQ Enjoyed the history and culture and logged a
TFTC. Enjoyed the museum. A little worried with all the new planting at GZ but all good.
At UQ to watch my partner participate in the Corporate Games. After watching him play a few games, I decided to take advantage of the break in rain and grab a couple of caches.
Enjoyed the walk to posted coords, and then the casual stroll around to find the painting and required info. After collecting the numbers, I took a seat in the sun, did a few calculations then locked in the final coords. Hmmmmmm that's a bit of a walk, had I made a mistake? Double checked all numbers and everything looked correct. Oh well, there was another cache along the way so off I went!
After getting a little bit lost, then stopping briefly for the other cache, I made it to GZ.
There were a few places that fit the hint, but I eventually found the right one. Thanks for a history lesson and a nice walk around UQ! TFTC!

I am happy to have finally graduated from University. Well at least I have now found all the active University caches . Mayne University has been a bit of a bug bear because being somewhere at opening hours is a a bit of a challenge (except for being at work which I am sadly far too commonly at during opening hours).
In any case I may have a death bed confession to make for this one, or maybe I got the details of the painting by Eggstra Sensory Perception...
But with the details that are available at night and some hints on the painting I had the coords pretty easily and after various other stops finally made my way down to GZ.
I did manage to look behind the wrong tree for long enough to provide some comedy but then fought off the thorns to make a find an sign up.
Thanks for the Mayne caches Totalube. Definitely an interesting story.

Net88 and I set out to qualify for The Unique Difficulty/Terrain Challenge (QLD). It was about 0600 when we started this morning and it was now closer to 2000 than we had anticipated. But all day it had been raining, we'd been dealing with being wet, longer walks through creeks and mud, DNFs due to swollen waterways and now, instead of just 25 were heading for this, our 27th find for the day. We were incredibly knackered.
Some days previously Net had sorted out the final location to this multicache, being one of the half she dealt with and I got to merely follow along for the price of solving a bunch of others for the day. Road closures meant we had to park some distance away with only dim streetlights and a phone with 3% battery to guide us. In the dark we sloshed through more puddles, scared a possum and slid down a muddy slope.
Being very quick with the failing phone torch we looked around and with 1% left to go I spotted the hide. Lights out, I grabbed it and we signed it back up the hill under the streetlight at about 2010. A quick return trip and a flash of the light and it was replaced.
We trudged back to the car and slumped back into the seats. Cold, wet, tired, hungry and somewhere behind all that a sense of accomplishment. A nice geocache to finish the day on and another gfood excuse to encounter the history of UQ. TFTC totalube

Since the 18th of September 2014 I have wanted to complete Fangsoki's The Unique Difficulty/Terrain Challenge (QLD). I started making a list of geocaches that Captain Terror and I could find to help us qualify. After solving this one, forgetting about it, finding the coordinates written down in my notes, checking they were the right coordinates with the cache owner this one was added to the list. We had organised to find those geocaches today, so naturally when we woke up, it was pouring rain.
This was our last cache for the day. It was quite a while after the sun had set and as we parked the car we realised my phone, which we were using as a torch was up to 2% battery. We sat in the car charging it for 5 minutes... hmmm 3%. I guess that is going to have to do.
The road was closed so we had to travel on foot further than anticipated but after scaring a possum and avoiding bike riders we were close to GZ. The Captain grabbed my phone and headed down. He turned on the torch as he got close to GZ and grabbed the container. He joined me again under the streetlight and we signed our names.
Quick 1% replace it before it dies! He raced down and returned the cache to its hidey hole. When I left work the next day I remembered the struggle with my phone and bought a torch for the car. Thanks for the cache totalube.

Out and about for a few hours with Brother Colin on a stinking hot Sunday [xx(]
I've been interested in the Mayne family ever since my son started his degree at UQ in 2003, and enjoyed reading the book mentioned in the Description. And I've done the other 2 of this CO's caches based on the family, so this one has been on my must do list for quite a while. Today we were in the area, and seeing as the uni will be mostly deserted on a Sunday, we added it to the agenda, and after finding suitable parking, made our way across to the published co-ords.
A bit of a search soon gave us the first bits of info, then we eventually found ourselves staring into the face of the great Doctor himself [^] Details noted here, and we made use of the very comfy seats in the very cool air con to do the number crunching. Oh look at that, GZ is right where we left the car [^] A bit of a wander back to Bumblebee (and grabbed cold water from the esky as we went by) then a meander around the roadworks barriers to our GZ, and we soon had the cache in hand. TFTC, totalube.

Out and about in the area looking for caches with IolantheK, some I have already found, some she has already found and some neither of us have found.
We were already in the Uni grounds ... and a certain build was open ... and there was no students around ...
The museum staff did not even 'bat an eye' when we asked the dude's portrait was.
Thanks for the cache.

#7818. Troodles didn't have much patience for caches that needed a bit of working out. However, when I read the description it didn't look too daunting, so we gave it a go. It didn't take too long to come up with coords, and after a bit of a walk we got to GZ and soon found the cache. TFTC.
Our third visit to this beautiful university. Found toilets here and took advantage of clean hands to have a bite to eat which raised our energy levels after walking here from Roma St Station via Westend and Highgate.
Didn't take long to gather the info and soon we were heading to the final. GZ looked a bit prickly, so StreetWalker was sent in to retrieve. Thanks for the interesting multi and the cache.

After my first attempt the CO got in touch and confirmed I was on the right track. This evening I had a much more successful time, although the rapidly departing light didn't help matters! I'm rather nimble so the rain earlier in the day didn't put me off, although I got a wee bit wet when I bumped into a tree. I would have made quite a site if any walkers by had cared to look!
Cache in great nick, TNLNSL. Scribbled my mouse face in the dark (anyone seen my mice drawings around and about yet?) so apologies if it looks more scary rat than cute mouse.
Thank you for the great cache, Totalube! I really enjoyed the history lesson and the walk around campus. Got me out of the office and the lab!
