Hello,

It is Rana Pirica, the geocache maintenance frog, once again hopping through your area to check on geocache maintenance.

After reading a successful recent find on the cache, I decided to go look for it today, But I could not find the final container. WP1 container is soaked, those film canisters are not very waterproof.

Searched for half hour with no luck at GZ.

Found it both multi caches but too wet both logbooks and caches waterlogged inside.Thank you for organising the cache and hunt.

Well, this one has me perplexed. Went to the given coordinates, and found a cache container (film canister) but it had no log book in it. It did have a Geocaching note inside, with a request to sign the back of the note, which I duly did. I was surprised to see no other names signed on the log, given the fact there were a heap of cachers in town for the Bundy event. I assumed that the log had been changed that morning.

Its only when I got back to the motel tonight, and start logging the finds, that I find out that this cache is a multi. Given that fact, I in fact did not find the cache, so therefore cannot, and will not claim a find.

This may be linked to the evnts mentioned in previous logs.

Ahh well, I will try another time.

Cheers

WanderingAus wandered by on day eighty-three of a 6 month trip Wandering Australia and made an easy find. At Waypoint 1 I found a small container with swaps and "Message" papers which seemed to be a cache by "Striker", as well as the expected film canister with the coords for GZ of Paradise Views which proved to be correct.

At Waypoint 2/GZ for Heading to Elliott I found a film canister with small screws and "Message" papers which also seemed to be a cache by "Striker".

My find No 725, LCC, TNLNSL, dropped my WanderingAus Happy New Year 2008 Gold GC in for a visit before grabbing it back again.

We missed this one on our first attempt a month or so ago, but thanks to the recent maintenance, we found the first part of the cache with no problems.

TFTC, it was fun for the kids and I to try a two part cache for the first time.

Cache back up and running again. The first WP has been moved to a different spot, hopefully less muggable. Also dropped off a TB to get things started again.

04-Apr-08
The first way point is no longer there
The second way point should still be there .
you need to put the first way point somewhere else
The kids play there at that spot all the time.

31-Mar-08
will do a maintance visit in a weeks time ( start of school holidays) to see if it's been muggled and replace if needed.
Might need to change WP1 to a more secure spot?

30-Mar-08
Like others before me I didn't find the first waypoint...

23-Mar-08
We had no luck with the first cache. Looked for ages but to no avail ... has this cache been muggled or did we simply strike out?

22-Mar-08
... believe WP1 has gone again. Sad
Looked in the obvious places ... then my car had a little electrical incident [xx(]... so had another 1.5 hrs to look some more, whilst we waited for the RACQ.
No it wasn't just a battery either.
OK we didn't spend the whole time looking ... hope I am wrong, but fairly confident I know where it should have been [?]
thanks - need an excuse to come back here anyway ...
I'll keep an eye on it.

Attention Dirtbikedeva. The first part of the cache has been destroyed, i think by a lawnmower. We found the lid to an Eclipse container and the small piece of paper that had the co-ordinates to the second part cache on the ground in amongst a heap of shreaded paper. So took the co-ordinates and will place in a new container and put back in hidy hole. I think the wind may have blown it down or it was muggled.

12-Jan-08
Found the second part easily, after a bit of rock moving. Buried quite well. The mountain goating was great fun, especially for 5 yr old Geokid and 6mth old Geopuppy. Had a blast. Ta.... Took jigzaw puzzle, left ring....

12-Jan-08
It is all fixed up again for now. The co-ordinates are back in a brand new Eclipse tin and I am hoping in the correct spot. Might be a good idea to check though. Ta!!!!

Found it, second for day.. in heavy rain ... problem with mugglers ... all ended up well...... left Chinese coin took nothing

Easily found on a very cold wet windy day. Cyclone brewing up north and the weather down here is pretty windy today. We escaped Grandma and Pop's for a little while - 6 people one house can get a little too close at times - so we escaped to geocache for a while. The grass etc had done quite a good job of covering up the cache. No swaps today. Thanks for an outing on such a miserable day!

27-Dec-07
rotten day to do anything else so decided to do a maintenance visit today. All is well and discovered we were not the only ones to visit the cache today. Will put some more swaps in tomorrow. Hope the predicted cyclone does not come or does not wash it away!!

This turned out to be a bit of a surprise. A first to find.
Thanks for the opportunity. TNLN.
