It's Canterbury Anniversary Day and an outdoor adventure awaits. Walking around New Brighton trying to find a number of caches. It's sunny and not very windy - perfect!I really enjoyed this cache and the short walk from the listed coordinates to wp2 and then the final.Favorite point from me .
I have been down and replaced this cache and a new log. Sorry for the delay but it's all good to go again. Cheers
Hi bo&bronnieThis geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit and after my previous reviewer note, there has been no owner response. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived. Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.RegardsTheCoddiwompler
The waypoint were super cool and fun to find but unfortunately no luck for me at the final. Had a good look but came up empty handed
I gathered the info from the two waypoints without any problems when I was in Christchurch last year and left it until today when we had some free time and it happened to be a multi dot day so I was keen to find it. My coordinates took me to a typical hint object which I gave a thorough search, circling twice without any luck. I widened my search a little without luck. I did manage to get a multi later in the day so at least I got that sorted.
I really enjoyed this cache even though I'm logging a sad face! I found the two waypoints no trouble and really enjoyed finding them. Enjoyed a new area and thought the hide at the first waypoint was especially good. Unfortunately I couldn't find the final, I think I had a pretty good search all around the right item but didn't put my hand on it this time. Maybe next time. Thanks so much anyway, it was fun!
23 January was a multi dot day for me so, to eliminate it, I chose this cache as it was "So Close" to our accommodation. It was also ideal for giving our dog a bit of a walk before we travelled further. I liked the way this adventure was created and it was satisfying to complete it without any mishaps. It's always good to find a cache that has been in existence longer than I have been caching. TFTC, bo&bronnie.
I am out caching with That Darn Bear and we decided to head out to Brighton Beach, because, well, you know - *Brighton Beach!*The bear had already found this cache, so she lurked nearby and checked on the news while I made the find at WP1. Then we walked over to WP2 and again I was stuck with doing all the hard work myself (it's actually pretty easy). Then to the final, where the bear runs off with an urgent mission leaving me, yet again, to do the cache find all by my lonesome. Okay, again, pretty easy. When she got back I was already signing the log.
A few years ago We found East but not weren't sure about South, The point was in a house. Today, our son had a birthday earby, so it was time to walk and find this cache. At WP1, it took quite some time to get the right coords, the wrong ones kepts coming up again and again. But I got there with a sharp eye. Of course, I had removed the East coordinate from my journal and needed to get it again, but a couple was having a picnic 5 meters from wp2 and someone was on a bench facing it. So no way I could approach. We walked a bit further, and when we returned, the couple was still there. I decided to try to find using only South and hints, but that was useless, too many options. Returned to WP2 and all was clear. Soon I had the coords, and yes, I was not looking in the right spot. I found quite a few options, but not cache. After a while, I asked Dad for help and I told where I hadn't look yet. Of course, this is where the cache was. Both container and logbook were in good condition. Thanks for this nice multi in a park!
After looking for this cache in January whilst on a short holiday, and coming up empty handed, I added it to my watchlist and then got constant emails of people finding it. Along rolls October, and our family makes the move to Christchurch. I have been waiting for the opportunity to come over this side of town so I could search again for this cache. Today was the day! Bazinga! Thanks for setting up this multi cache.
Multis are my favorite type of cache and this one is a beaut. Satisfying to complete and the design of that second WP *chef kiss*. Love those. It took me three guesses with the south coords. My first calculation didnt make sense. Second made sense but didnt turn up anything. Third was just right. GZ seems to be a popular spot for people to just kinda loiter so I had to wait them out. Quickly collected the container and accidentally disturbed a cute family of snails.
Down from Whangarei for a few days visiting family and had to take the opportunity to grab a few caches as and when the chance presented itself. On a bit of an exercise jaunt this avo. Had not read the hints at all, but I had a fair idea what I would be looking for at Wpt 1 and so it turned out. Headed off to Wpt 2, expecting the same thing and got very frustrated after 15 minutes at not being able to find it, so decided to call it a day.I was more than a km down the road, when I had a thought that maybe I could find it based on the South coords only, so then and only then, did I check what the hint for the final was. And doh....!!!, I discovered there were hints for the 1st two locations as well. Headed back to Wpt 2 and made an instant find of the required info and then carried on to the final GZ, where the cache was soon located. Signed the log and replaced safe and secure as found. TFTC
It was there…but out in open … tucked away again and sent photo to CO….. cool multi that starts and finishes nearby with a walk in between TFTC
Found GZ but not the cache. Surrounding was to wet to take a closer look.
TFTC anyway

A multi dot day. This didn't take too long to sort out, I must have been lucky with passing pedestrians and cars etc. Scribbled my name in as I'd left my pen in the car... then I got to the car and found that I didn't leave it in the car at all.. woops. Guess I should check ALL of my pockets next time.
TFTC bo&bronnie, the cache was found in good order Signed, sealed and returned to GZ. 1 find(s) of 1 today, making this find #4061

Last time I attempted this, wp2 had builders in the vicinity. There was this time too but perhaps I was more bold. Busy place at the final today but quick out and in, and noone paid any attention
Great to have the waypoints and final relatively close together well worth a favorite point; TFTC
This was a really fun wee multi.
I appreciate the effort put into the waypoints and the final was a nice quick find (though tested my stealth big time!)
Fav point for a nice walk around the area and a well thought out but quick and easy multi

I happened to be in ChCh visiting friends nearby, I had a dot day to fill in, so went out in the rain when I had a short window of time to do so to attempt this one, seeing 2 previous DNF's I wasn't hopeful, but all good here, lots of surfers parked up so it was a quick in and out. TFTC!!
Found the necessary coordinates before and after the new parkrun but then could find nothing at the final
In Christchurch for the weekend visiting family. Had the opportunity to do a bit of caching! Yippee!!
This multi looked interesting, so I stopped off to give it a go. The first set of coordinates took a minute or two to find. The second was a bit more elusive, and I got scratched by a number of pointy things.
I put in my final coordinates and found that it was very close to where I had parked, so headed that way. Darn it… Way too many muggles around. I had a quick look around and spotted where I thought the cache might be located, and decided to come back in the evening.
No one around when I returned. Great. I searched for about 10 minutes and came up empty handed. Maybe I was looking at the wrong place? Or maybe it has gone?
Will keep an eye on this cache and have another hunt the next time I’m in town.

We came out today to finish this multi. Got a clear moment from muggles to find the second lot of info. Managed to get a park at the final and waited for an opportunity to go to the obvious spot and retrieve the log. Thanks for this fun multi bo&bronnie.
I found the East coordinates a few years ago but couldnt find the South, not sure how I could have missed them, they were so easy to find today. I did go back and refind the East ones as well just in case they had changed since I was last here. In the process of getting that I managed to stab myself in the head with branch off the nearby tree, this drew some blood. What's a caching trip without a war wound or two? The final GZ was very busy so I came back later this afternoon with Sir Belac on our way to the cricket and made a quick find. Nice to finally complete this one. Thanks bo&bronnie

Managed to find both sets of coordinates without too much trouble and then had a nice quick find at final! TFTC!
At last, a day when half of Chch wasn't out exercising a dog, eating Mr whippy or power walking in huge numbers!! or one of many taxi drivers just chilling out and staring at you. Nice easy find when one can actually get close to obvious object at GZ. TFTH
Couldn't find the first honey on the sign, but the waypoint was listed. Found second wp easy, but it only had the east coordinates so had to give up. But of a noob so might be misunderstanding things
JD and I decided to go on a bike ride this weekend. We put the bikes on the back of the car and headed to North Brighton.
This was a fun multi.
Thanks for hiding this cache bo&bronnie I appreciate it.

Thanks for hiding this cache bo&bronnie I appreciate it.
I don't get to cache as often as I would like to at the moment especially as the kids are kinda over it but today I bribed them with a Mr Whippy ice cream and they were more than happy to lead the chase on this. I missed the object we were looking for at the published co-ords but my son got it and then we were onto WP2 where both of son and daughter made the find for object #2. Now armed with the co-ords for the final we were on our way. Nice quick find of the micro cache which meant no pen but that was quickly sorted out and the log was signed. Then they asked for another ice cream! Um, good try! Thanks bo&bronnie ... deserves a favourite point.
Nice multi. Had some trouble getting the S coords out. Final found on ground in the open. Replaced in obvious hide. TFTC.
Many eyes make quick hunting! Found with KendalGuides while at the beach for our meeting tonight
Double downed on a DNF from a few nights ago at a nearby Trad. This one was a fun, speedy find. Final hiding spot quite clear, and visible. Had to time my approach just right to avoid passing cars, beach goers and dog walkers!
We found both waypoints quickly. WP1 was similar to hide types we have seen a few times. At the final the logbook was completely soaked through and covered in black mould. As there was no outer cache container, this was perhaps not surprising. So we have done some maintenance: we have supplied a new log and a new container - a pill bottle - placed in the outer plastic bag. TFTC bo&bronnie!
Back in the big city for a few days and on a mission to get some big numbers ..
Had to have a couple of attempts at both waypoints#1 being a good one ...
But soon had both numbers and the final was obvious to a cacher ,not so a muggle..which is good given the amount around ...log book all dry could do with an outer container maybe...
Gets a fav from me tftc

A lovely multi found on a stunning Canterbury day and see was looking great today. The log is rather damp but still signable. TFTH
I have had a few DNFs here (although I only logged the first one) so I wasn't hopeful of a find today.
However within 30 seconds of arriving at GZ, son had the cache in hand. I could have sworn that I had checked that particular spot more than once but obviously not!
So glad to finally remove this one from my list. TFTC.

I have checked on this cache and its still in place, Please read the last couple of previous logs. Cheers Bo
I feel bad about you coming and checking this. I did look over the site but not as thoroughly as I thought. On my phone gps the cache location was quite a few metres away in the bushes and I think I got too hung up on that to think sensibly! So pleased to get this off my dnf list at last. Thanks Bo & Bronnie.
I have checked on this cache this morning and its still there. Things have been disturbed a little probably due to other people looking but it still only took about 10 seconds to locate. So all is ok for now. Cheers
Thwarted again. This time I got wp1 but couldn't spot anything after a thorough look at the final. Rats!
Our closest cache to this weekends accommodation. Found the Way Points and put the final into the GPS. We then carried on North to find a few Traditionals.
Back after a couple of hours and searched GZ wondering which container, if any, I was going to find.
Cool. Found the original one most recently signed ny H Plug. No sign of the replacement.
Nice multi.

Found 1st quickly 2nd took a little longer. Final was a easy find but had me stumped as the last log is from dec 2016. Having read the logs I think I may have found the missing container and not the replaced one. The last log was from Big09 who happens to be my son and we live in Western Australia. The fun we have with geocaching. TFTC
Last one for the day on the way home! Not really on the way lol, but it had to be done, and we had some spare time from getting up earlier in the morning TFTC!!

After work time, and so caching time before daughter needed to be picked up from daycare - and anyone noticed that I was out caching!! Haha!!
The field work for this cache had actually been done previously, aaaaages ago! Back when streaking! But that meant that the final was saved for another time.... and somehow that 'other time' became a few years later - as it was missing for a while, an then there are just so many caches in the area!! And so today, finally, had the chance to come out here & make the find with mum after work.
Final ended up being pretty nice & easy on a chilly late arvo!
TFTC!!

Found on a dog walk.
I came to this place a couple days ago, couldn't find the first coords and it was a bad timing to go after the second because there was some aerobics going on next to it.
So now, back with backup, again, we failed to find the first one but now the park was not occupied and I went in for the second (not so easy to access it actually - some bush-bashing required! ). Got that, then another look at the first - nah, nothing. Well, we went on with our walk along the beach with the dogs and came back a bit later to have another look.
Yess, there is was - the first part! Very nicely done! Was so close all the time! So close!!
Quick dash to the final and log happily signed.

Sorry folks but the workers had done some work in the area and had obviously moved or taken the cache. I have now replaced the container and is all good to go again. I am happy for the two geocachers that had a DNF to log it has a found since they had already done the hard work in working out the final. Cheers Bo
Today was the day I had my first swim in the sea for the summer, as well as an ice cream on the beach with Injeanious. While here we decided to look for the millionth time for this cache. On our first visit here we found way point two but have never before succeeded at way point one. Well today we got it! After many visits staring at the sign we finally noticed something a little different and found the final coordinates. At GZ we searched in lots of nooks and crannies before finally finding the cache. So pleased to cross this one off our list of DNFs! TFTC!
Finally! JD and I got *so close* to solving this one several times. We found WP2 easily but for some reason we struggled with WP1. Tonight we headed back to GZ with an idea in mind, but it didn't work. As I was standing there something caught my eye so I reached for it. Doh, are you kidding me? That's it! Coordinates in hand we headed to the cache. We waited out a few muggles and then started a search. Stuck our hands into some creepy places but it wasn't in there. Than JD looked somewhere a little different and called out "found it!". Tftc. So glad to cross nemesis number two off the list.
WP1 totally eludes me but WP2 was easy to find. I guess this will remain a dnf for a while as without WP1 I'm stymied.
Found WP2 easily and WP1 after a close examination of the sign and a doh moment! But we just couldn't find the cache. The GZ looked good and we poked and prodded around but nothing was found. We will be back.
In CHCH for the weekend visiting friends. After a busy day we arrived back home for some cold drinks. Afterwards I was able to convince Team CeeZeeWees to go for a little walk. Stopped at WP1 but had no luck searching with 6 pairs of eyes. Walked off to give WP2 a go and this one was found with no trouble. Decided to give WP1 another attempt and this time we got lucky spotting the odd. Off we go to the final losing three kids on the flying fox. The adults searched for a while till we made the find. TFTC
nice, nice - wp2 is fairly easy to find ... re wp 1: Look hard is a good tip to follow ...
We are over for the Mega and happened to have a rented a beach house just 200 metres away for our stay. EB Nano and I came over on Friday morning for a look but could not make any sense of the first waypoint, thought i had an answer but that turned out to be incorrect. Regardless, we marched to Wpt 2 for a similar result. Although I decided to head back and google the clue as we don't call them that in Oz.
Arrived back today, armed with my google search and my eagle eye partner EB99. Went to Wpt 2 first and shifted my search zone 10 or so metres north, corresponding to the clue and lo and behold the East coordinates materialised before me. Yes.
Back to Wpt 1 and within minutes, EB99 had the South coordinates. How good is she. Yay!
While EB99 and EB Nano played on the Flying Fox I went off to triumphantly make the find. I searched high, I searched low, I thought like a cacher, problem with that is that I could see hundreds and hundreds potential hiding spots and as far as I could see, none of them had the cache in them.
With shoulders slumped, I headed back to the Flying Fox with the bad news. We went back to the house for a rest and a gee-up. (or coffee)
Gee-up completed, EB99 and I, armed with torches returned to GZ where yet again EB99 made the discovery. I am indebted to her.
So bro&bronnie, thank you for the caching adventure, it is nice to find a cache after 5 months of being unfound

Waypoint one was an easy find
So far so good !!
Waypoint two was not found !!
It's a jungle in there [:o]
I figured I had all the info I needed anyway
A few likely spots presented themselves as I strolled though the area,
but which one was it ??
One stood out !!
Surely the cache was there
No amount of poking would reveal a cache hide
I think the smell of the fish 'n' chips, wafting across the road, was messing with me search [:o)]

Far out how did we miss this before. Solved and dnfed ages ago. We were so close! Great to get this one finished tftc
Needed brute force to reveal WP1 and had to do WP2 again and then off to the cache . A bit bigger than I thought it was going to be but found and signed in between all the comings and goings. Thanks to CO for the heads up on WP1.
Close but not close enough. Just could not get the correct co-ordinates from way-point 1 although way-point 2 was easily found. Going by some of the logs just wondering if something is missing?
Will try again on another visit
Will try again on another visit
Very pleased to be able to tick this cache off. Its been taunting us since we started caching. Thanks for placing this neat cache. Not sure that the final in the right spot as it seems a bit exposed...
Solved this Multi, second of four Multi's found this evening. Thanks for the cache.
After initially having no success at finding the co-ords at WP1, finding WP2 with no issues, it took a further look at WP1 before finding what I needed to find. Final GZ was easily found, and after waiting out a couple of surfers, I made the find. Thanks for the cache.
I've been eyeing this one up for a while now, but every time I've been around here it's been for running so haven't bothered. But today it was a walk with the Geodog and GeoMother. A little bit of searching for WP2 ( should have read the hint sooner!) but a reasonably easy find at the end. Was good to knock off a multi as haven't done many of these yet. TFTC
Happy to report that cache is safe and sound. My son and had a great time here this morning visiting the attractions that are 'so close'. Grabbed a coffee and scone from the cafe before hitting the playground. Then off to find WP1 (a bit tricky but managed to get in between walking muggles) and WP2. Next stop was building sandcastles on the beach before the hunt for the final on our way back to the car. My GPS pointed me to some bushes but I thought an object about 13m away was a likelier source for black holes. So pleased to put my hand on the cache to top off a great morning and even found a TB inside which I'll move along. TFTC and thanks for bringing us here!
Sad to report we couldn't find the final. No trouble with the waypoints but pretty sure we had as extensive a search as possible, with no success this time. Will watch with interest and return in the future.
Needed a nudge in the right direction to find the final, both the WP's were quite easily located, but the final gave me a bit of trouble. Eventually located. TFTC.
Found with help from bo&bonnie. I'd had my hand on WP2 coords but thought nah... and they were there the whole time! TFTC dropped trackable in!
Found WP1 no worries however couldn't find the co-ords. Found WP2 easy enough and the cache with co-ords. This one is baffling me. I thought I could see some old numbers but they were too worn for me to read. I will be back!
I started this one during my lunch break yesterday, got the East coords at WP2 no problem. Did what the hint said at WP1 but the more I looked the more I couldn't see. Took a photo of the object mentioned in the hint and did a PAF later on. This encouraged me to look more closely the next day but I still didn't come up with the goods. Tried to find the cache with just the East coords but no, too many possibilities. Determined this time I went back and had a flash of inspiration. With the help of the camera on my phone I soon had what I was looking for. Ha no wonder I couldn't see it! The final was found quickly, was a bit tricky with my work skirt on but managed to manoeuvre into the right spot. Thanks for the fun multi (I would put it at difficulty 2 at least!)
Out running the Parklands multi and stopping off at this one. Went to WP2 after confused at WP1. Come back to find with some understanding. Went to location and had a good search before locating. Great multi. Tftc
While running around the area on another multi stopped for this one. First waypoint took us a bit to find. Tftc
Second geocach ever, and first multi. Found wp1 and wp2 straight away. I don't think I had the coordinates right for the final. Ill be back.
We found many nice caches today.
Was not quick and easy, but nice multi.

Tämä oli hienosti tehty multi. Ensimmäinen piste löytyi nopeasti, toista etsittiin vähän aikaa kunnes löytyi mukavasta piilosta. Loppupurkki taas löytyi nopeasti vaikka olikin hyvin piilotettu. TFTC Greetings from Finland

We stayed for one night at a B&B nearby, so we walked along the beach and wanted to find this cache.
However we found the first stage only but could identify the final location using the half coordinate. The owner even confirmed this is the right place but we couldn't find the container.
Cheers
