Found It!A nice little walk in here then I climbed up and soon found the cache!TFTC
Found another cache nearby, then went along a way and just a little higher to collect this one. A nice climb up to where we discovered the cache, then log signed and an inelegant descent, which gifted us a few scratches and bruises. All ok though, and on to the next adventure (parkrun). TFTC. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------In the spirit of reconciliation we would like to acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of country on which we geocache throughout Australia and their long lasting, and ongoing connections to land, sea and community. We (the pants people) pay our respects to Traditional Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
Spotted but couldnt get to it. will return with my fiance for help and will attempt again! >:)
Went here this afternoon with my dad, he helped me out and after some diligent searching, we found the cache! Great spot and loads of fun, would recommend!
Today we went on a hike to Mount Ainslie with our holiday dog Ziggy. We took the more leisurely way up and then made our way back almost in the fall line. On the way there were a few Tradis, a Wherigo and a Virtual to collect. Thank you for the caches, which made our hike more varied.
#4770 The name said it all and with a wet night and damp tree the climb was a little more difficult than usual. Very slippery so very carefully made my way up with some monkey hijinks to get off the ground. All went well, log signed and soon enough safely back on the ground. Thanks for the fun.
Over here for Capital GeoBash Mega which has now concluded. One of many cache finds all over the city, particularly the oldest ones for my Jasmar grid. Love higher-elevated caches, unfortunately this cache was on the ground. Once signed, off it goes up (photo sent to CO GeeLetcha). Anything to keep clambering onwards, TFTC
I've had a fraught weekend. Every plan of mine did "gang aglee", as Robbie Burns would say. I needed fuel, which I usually get at Costco, I couldn't quite find the time to go on Friday, so I used all my available cash to put in five litres yesterday. I planned three different time to go yesterday, all thwarted by Mrs Mister JD arranging things for us to do for people. I actually got as far as Fyshwick yesterday arvo, doing an errand, but I got recalled before Costco for yet another errand. Today, after running around like a blue-er-posteriored fly all morning, and having to put in a couple more litres, I finally got there, with the GeoHounds in tow for a walk. Now having a full tank, we fronted up here for a GeoPuppy walk and a cache or two. I approached this one with a bit of trepidation, but it was unwarranted. It was a nice easy find. TFTC.
Hmm, looking at the name of the cache, the terrain rating and the TOTT at GZ, I slightly repositioned this cache to where I believe it was meant to be. Nice quick find!
TFTC!

TFTC. Found on the ground. Signed and place it back up where I think it might go.
Oooo Mr Downer wanted to eat the container lol . A nice walk, even if the sign just before the cache was a bit dubious. Tftc

Lockdown has bought a totally different approach to caching with the introduction of homework! Much time for homework in fact. Therefore many more puzzles solved, both as a solo and collective effort. Thanks to my fellow geo buddies for assistance when needed.
And in between there are still some traditionals, though not nearly as many of them left these days
Logs all in good condition unless otherwise noted.
This one was a bit late g a challenge for me but I made it!
Thanks to GeeLetcha for putting out and maintaining all of these caches for our enjoyment!

I met up with Joolay and Isopeda at the end of their walk to grab this cache. Lovely big container in good condition.
Thanks for hiding this cache GeeLetcha

Finally able to collect this one after failing last time. All good with cache. Luckily we had a climber ready to help us.

That was a little tricky. I dropped the pencil sharpener so had to do a second climb.
Was a bit envious of the previous searcher. Seeing a Tawney frogmouth would have been cool.
Thanks for the cache.

Thanks for the cache.
Wanted to get up higher, but a tawny frogmouth was in the tree and didn’t like being disturbed. :[
Meanwhile masterSnail arrives with ladder but I was quick to spot the cache before he could do something- he goes hands me the beer and said “hold my beer!” And proceeds to fetch the cache. Thanks for the find!
Enjoyable climb up - but I really hope nobody was watching! Thanks for the fun hide GeeLetcha.
geo-hack loves climbing so I stayed on the ground while they climbed and passed it down to me.
As described, it was just a little bit higher. I do like tree climbing caches, despite not being as limber as I was in my younger years. TFTC.
I wasn’t planning on finding this one today but I was somewhat close by and intrigued by the terrain and attribute combination. It was an easy climb and hard to look nonchalant in that situation with a bright coloured container. TFTH
A lovely afternoon for a gentle walk up Mt Ainslie! I'd missed this cache before my (perhaps put off by the suggestion of climbing involved), but it turns out to be quite easy to access.
Thank you for the cache!

Love a good tree climb cache, so this one we were excited for. Arrived at Gz and couldn't find the container, hmmmm. So we decided to head up to investigate at the top, Getting up was difficult but when Geo-dad got up I had to try. Cache found and signed. Trackable drop. TFTC GeeLetcha!!!!

Looked around for a while for this one, then thought - no, it isn't.
Yes, it is!
Nabbed, logged, replaced.
Thanks hiders

Tftc - my boyfriend had to hoist me up. Grabbed the two trackables. I’m from Melbourne!
Mr TiedyeSmileys was the nominated monkey today to scramble up to grab the cache. With all the grave of a sea lion trying to climb a tree he finally got up there.

Good one for Hogwarts85 and a new introduction. Treasure always goes down well.
Second big day of caching around Canberra. Not so much hills today, so a lot more caches. Still walked more then 20 km in total, a pushbike would have been handy here and there! Weather was good and dry till I finished and almost ideal for caching, except for the cold start in the morning. All caches were found easily and were in good condition, thanks to all the owners for putting them out there.

In Canberra for the Mega, having roadtripped down over the weekend with Seff (seffnjarah) and Lennondayz29 via Moree, Dubbo, and Wagga. The roadtrip section took a toll on Ldayz, who decided she had enough of our toilet humour and incessant caching, and took herself off to do shopping and touristy things, while Seff and I continued our way through the list.
We had a slight change to scheduled programming today due to Victor del Prado's auxillery charger and battery throwing a wobbly and refusing to charge the fridge. Standing between Seff and an ice cold Solo when he needs one is not a sensible idea, and so the target list of caches changed slightly to accommodate dropping the battery off for some TLC.
On our way to Mt Ainslie, and of course we had to drop in here; an oldie with a tree climb! Seff found a nice close park beyond some roadworks, and a short walk later we located GZ. Seff is a *much* better climber than me, so I usually pounce on tree climbs to show I can, and because we both know he could get up there with one broken arm. This one was no exception, and was actually a fairly straightforward climb. We were interested to note that the previous entry in the log book was 5/10/18; perhaps the previous finder earlier this year forgot to sign the logbook?

Dez (JezNDez), Lennondayz29 and I headed off on Friday from Brisbane, making our leisurely way south towards the Mega event in Queanbeyan. After finally arriving in Canberra yesterday, today was our first full day of caching in the ACT prior to the start of the event. We have been truly fortunate with the weather on our trip so far, yet another cracking autumn day with sun shining and blue skies.
A problem with my car's auxiliary battery saw a tweak to the running order of our to-do list, in order to fit in a visit to an auto electrician, but this was one of the caches we managed to visit on the way to an early morning drive up Mt Ainslie.
With nearby roadworks negotiated, we managed to find a park close to the track entrance. A short walk later we arrived at GZ where Dez attended to the ascent and signing honours. Surprised to see the previous log on the logbook was 5/10/18. TFTC

A fallen bird box and a nearby branch helped an old fella make the climb. Thanks for hiding and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.
I guess I didn't really do my homework on this one before I came out to collect some caches today with the geosons. I didn't realise it was a tree climbing cache. May I suggest you add the tree climbing attribute? I was surprised when I got to gz and couldn't find anything. Then I checked the hint and then looked up. Ah, I see. Well, there was nothing else to do but scale the tree. Now, I'm not a confident tree climber but I had already deliberately collected a tree cache but it was an easy one. But I somehow swung myself up and into the tree. Perhaps this tree climbing caper isn't so hard after all. Harder than the last one but still fairly easy. I think my boys enjoyed seeing their Dad hauling himself up into a tree. Nice hide and TFTC.
21 years ago we lived close by, and on this visit we had a look at our old place. As there was a cache close by we tok that at the same time. We had to stretch just a bit extra to get in place for a log. Thank you for the cache that was taken this cold sunday morning.
On a walk to a cache of my own, I went past to collect this one, finally. I like a small challenge. I think the cache had a neighbour who has lost their home.
An excellent effort by my geobuddy megan who did all the hard work for me lol tftc tnln
I sought out this geocache before the Monday evening Omnia walk on Mt Ainslie. I found two geocaches and neither was a straightforward find; I am not a confident climber and did not enjoy the climb up to this cache or teetering while I signed the log. The split log incidentally provided adequate support for the ascent but slipped away when I endeavoured to descend. Gravity then assisted with my descent! Thank you GeeLetcha & actgranite for installing and maintaining this cache.
Came to GZ and saw what I would have to climb. Slight problem though was there was nothing nearby I could use to climb up. A convenient looking log was against the tree but had broke into 2. Oh well, perhaps I’ll bring a ladder with me next time.
Cool and interesting cache! We found this together on a fun Spring afternoon. Thanks!
Ah, yes ... signed the decoy, but it didn't feel right. Had a better look and voila, found the cache proper and signed that as well.
I DO recommend that if you take your jacket off - like I did - to be a bit more nimble, look where you put it. I put mine on a thorny, thistle like, dry plant and then had to pick out thorns and spikes from my jacket.

This cache was sticking out like a sore thumb between two other smiley's on either side, so I decided I may as well walk the extra distance to come and tick it off!
I got to GZ and did what a lot of people probably did and found the other container first which looks like it should hold a medium geocache but NOPE! Not there!
Then looked at another angle and ahh there is is!
Thanks GeeLetcha, a very easy climb which was nice as I have done some extremely difficult ones in the past!

Quick and easy find. First of the day. Geokid slightly concerned RE: Unexploded ordnance. (UXO) but luckily we managed to get back on track unharmed

Out for yet another day of caching with JuSoJaRa around some of the inner city.
Ja had already found this one but was more than happy to accompany me on the walk to GZ, after a short search I had the cache in hand... I would say this is more of a Micro now or a small. As there was no paper log we left a page from Ja's note book. Great to find a cache from the cacher who introduced me to caching.

I think it's been muggled. Found what I think is the cache hanging from a tree near cords but the log was missing. Replaced it in likely spot but have no paper to replace log. CO I'll send pictures through of where I put it
An early walk with geohound before a 37 degree day. Along the way, we stopped at GZ. Geohound remained vigilant, sniffing stuff, while I scaled, retrieved and signed. Halfway though, a walker, with baby and dog went 10m past us while I was at a slightly higher altitude. Geohound and I were both very still and they completely missed seeing us, thankfully. TFTC GeeLetcha
Quick find and sign. I then sat for a good 40 min in the tree enjoyong the calm and bird song whike chatting to my mother on the phone. Shame there is no nest in the nesting box. I was hoping. I found a nest at another cache. Anyway signed and time to move on.
These ones are just not for me but with dty73 and thought we are in the area so let's just have a look. Bit of teamwork with some improvising an easier way in the right direction and cache was soon signed. Thanks for the cache.
Aquilus1 and I decided to get a few smileys around this area. I knew reading this one it was going to be my turn to grab this cache. Luckily with Aquilus1's MacGyver skills, I was able to climb more easily. I do enjoy these ones when they are achievable. Tftc!!!
I love this kind of caches. We had so much fun getting bit higher
There are some great trees around here

BleuIris and I spent 30 min looking everywhere as the GPS was a little jumpy. The fact that we were looking for this cache at 2300 didn't help. We just could not find it
I am another (probably last one to log, seeing I am typing this about 6 weeks later - oops?) of the group who came and found a few more caches after doing the night cache (this was last one of three
TFTC - I kind of feel like I cheated for this one - we had a young "monkey" with us ... otherwise it might have been me going up for it - lol

After completing the nearby earth cache in the area a few teams soldiered on in the dark and picked up a few others. This was the last one for the night. After a quick boost this one was in hand. Thanks for placing.
We were very lucky to have a little monkey with us tonight. After the nearby night cache we made the grab and took a TB but this was the only one in the cache. Thanks GeeLetcha,
Found with The Matetrix, McLooker, Glanville Girls, Winterdragon, TikvaNZ and Aykayem on a night hunt around Mount Ainslie. Thanks for the company, we had a great night. Hope everyone was ok after the night ending incident. TNLCSL TFTC
We were cleaning up a few traditionals after doing the nearby night cache, and this one was calling us. The Matetrix made short work of it, scrambling up the tree like a monkey and producing the cache for us! Love your work!

[violet]I'm currently hitchhiking my way around the world and geocaching everywhere I go. My first stop was in Ireland where I spent a couple weeks touring the country. I then flew to London and spent a couple weeks touring the United Kingdom. From there I made my way through the tunnel and up to Amsterdam and then back down to Belgium. After that I headed for France. Then from there I headed to Portugal for a mega event that was happening. After that I headed for Denmark to attend another Mega event. I then made my way North into Sweden and then even further North to Norway. After that I proceeded to work my way back down South through Finland and then ferry hopped my way through a few of the islands to arrive back in Sweden. Next I made my way to Germany for another Mega event and then back to the Netherlands for still another mega event before heading for Luxembourg. After that the next stop along my journey was Switzerland. I then made a quick detour up to Belgium to grab a July 2000 geocache I had overlooked before making my way to Croatia passing through Austria and Slovenia along the way. After that my route took me East to Serbia and then through Romania into Moldova. I then couldn't resist going North and crossing into the Ukraine. After that I began heading South passing through Romania once again. I then passed through Bulgaria as I raced for Turkey in order to catch a flight to Australia timing it so that I could attend a mega event happening there. After that I traveled along The Great Ocean Road and up to Adelaide before making my way West to Perth. I then headed back to Port Augusta and made my way North to Alice Springs. Then I turned around and headed south and then east towards Sydney detouring into Canberra along the way.
This was a very special geocache for me as it was the last one I needed to complete double jasmer!!!
Thank you so much for placing this geocache!

Managed a few of these sorts of caches today! This was first stop for today. A quick clamber up and the cache was soon in hand. Thanks GeeLetcha
The tenth find of the day whilst hiking on Mount Ainslie. I was looking forward to this one! I walked across from the previous cache to this one and I had some idea of what would be required to retrieve this one. On arrival, I sized up the challenge at hand and had soon found a way to get up. Backpack left at basecamp, I only took the bare essentials on the final ascent. After a tiny bit of effort, I had made my way up to the level of the cache. It was shortly after that that I had the cache in hand. Log signed and cache replaced. TFTC GeeLetcha and actgranite!
