Heading back to Victoria and seeing the unloved decided to give this a try. After arriving at gz had a fair expectation of where this one may be located but after a long search tuned up nothing. Reading the logs offered little hope but noticed a familiar name in the logs under found and so with a little guidance was able to make the find and it is well hidden.
Apologies for the delay in logging.
Thanks vra for the cache.
Found at 12:29 pm on 30/1/21.

Wonderful history to the area, unfortunately with the combined effort of myself and Aussiepuschaks we couldn’t find the cache
Thanks for bringing us out here as it is great to see such historic sites, however a nano out here proved a little to hard for us despite the many nanos we find in the cities. Well hopefully it is still here and able to be found by a subsequent cacher.
Looked all over, all levels, extensively, but did not find. As last cachers logged 5 months ago, wondering if it’s still there. Wonderful location though!!!! Thanks for sharing with us!!
I desperately needed a place to set up my tent and stay the night.
The sun was an hour away from setting and I had to keep stopping the bike to check that I was on the right road and hadn't passed the cache. Up ahead, I saw the signs for a park and pulled in to look for the cache, then I saw the best sign I could've hoped for "Camping Allowed". I was so happy at this sight, I forgot all about going and searching for the cache and instead looked for a place to set up camp.
The parking area was lined with campers and vans and trucks of all sizes, about a dozen campers set up for the night and enjoying the nice weather. I rode through and found a nice spot down the bank where the RVs couldn't get to and pitched my tent next to a picnic table with weeds growing up all around it. The tall unmowed grass would mat down and make a good bed tonight, I thought.
Before the sun set, I walked around and met my fellow campers. The place was filled with mainly Australians and we exchanged stories about where we had been and the places we've seen. I needed water and someone was all too glad to help out. I went back to my camp and the neighbors next to me were of retirement age and offered me some dinner. They were so nice and the meal was such a generous offer, I could have cried. I had been sleeping on mullock piles and eating biscuits and a little fruit for most of my meals, the last couple of weeks. It was nice to be in a place where people looked out for one another.
The next morning, I woke up and had the bike packed by 8:00 am, which was usual. My neighbors last night had mentioned the grooves and that it wasn't too far away. I was happy to see this morning that the cache was right where this special place was.
I found the tiny cache after some searching and thought about what it would have been like for people to come and gather here.
Thanks for the find.

Taking a rest day in Dubbo which means no rest as there are geocaches to be found Stumbled across a fair whack of local history whilst on the hunt and enjoyed the temperate weather
This is a lovely parking area for free range campers I enjoyed the stroll to GZ and learned a thing or two about the grinding grooves. Not sure how you could locate the cache from the deck unless you had elastic limbs So down I went and made the find.
TFTC vra Dropping a FAVE point here.

Found by Mary and David at 10:16. Another long day on the road for us - Coonabarabran to Narrandera, then home tomorrow evening. This is definitely worth a FP for the history on display. Cockatoos screeched above us and there was water below. Tough to find without leaving the deck. Our thanks to vra.
Left Blackall after the QOGM event, heading south for St. Arnaud event next month. Day 49 of our trip. Caching along the way. A total of 17 caches for the day and 1576 for the trip. TFTC
Doing a few caches on the north side to clean up the area .come up to see the family that's living in the area thanks for the cache
This could have been tricky but I got lucky and spied it fairly quickly. Great spot for a cache and a very interesting area.
I was a bit hesitant with this cache as usually my rule is if there is more than 1 last DNF then the likelyhood of finding the cache is very slim, let’s say a 50/50. Travelling to Townsville from ACT, still a good chance to find caches. I was up for the challenge and as luck would have it found the nano cache quite quickly. Didn’t manage to bump my head which was a plus. TFTC
Out caching today around Dubbo and nearby. This was the first cache of the day. Parked the car away from the grey nomads who were using the free camping area. Walked towards GZ. Took me a while to find but eventually found. TFTC vra
Giving you a FP for the great location .

Day 2 of our epic journey to Cape York and the second day of our streak. We began the day with this beautiful hide – more like a nanno than a micro though (in our opinion). Spent a lot of time here before eventually being successful and moving on. TFTC
Did a briefish search while geocat waited on the viewing platform
I didn't find the cache, but lots n lots of "farmer's friends" found me!

After meeting up with RoddyC and hatzoff we are collecting a few caches before heading to the Xmas event in Dubbo. Thanks to all the COs for showing us around your area. Merry Xmas and happy caching.
Muggle Hubby got in the groove in commando mode to find this cute little fellow. Thanks for placing it here and bringing us to this very interesting site, via Geocaching.
Another spot we would never have known existed.

Well found the history story and viewed the rocks. Unfortunately we could not find any cache within the surrounds of the rails.
Came to visit the grooves, good pun with the name. I like everything about the cache except for how you had to go under the platform and almost walk on the grooves. Didn't have a pen so photo is proof for find.
TFTC quick find, checked it out at night as we’re leaving the next morning, interesting site, great camping.
Day 5 of our Epic Roadtrip to the OzMuster Mega, our destination today..Morrisett!!..As we were camped here overnight, befrore we headed of, we wandered down to grab this. didn't take to long, and we had it signed and replaced. Awesome spot rich in history.....TFTC
Found. This is teeny weeny micro nano. I am traveling with my hubby Happy Hans from the sunshine coast Queensland. We have travelled to Marion Bay on the Yorke Peninsula, Victor Barbour on the Fleauriou Peninsula and along the Murray River to here. Tftc
Day 3 of our journey to Alexandra. Left Nanango Qld on Monday and stayed overnight in Moree. Left Moree early on Tuesday and now it is Wednesday and we are staying in Dubbo till Friday.
Drove out here this morning and there were 5 overnighters still here. Parked in the lower area near the River and took the short walk to the Platform.
Sneaky little Nano this one be. Could not see it from the platform so went into crawl mode and soon found it . I sign small and micro logs especially nano logs YOF to save space on the paper. This is a significant area and did feel comfortable going under the platform and walking on the significant rocks.

Just wrote the start of my cache name because it was a very small log book.

After the night staying on the campsite and breakfast we had a look for this one. At first we have seen the grooves and took a few pictures. The small naughty container was not easy to find but after 15 minutes we got it. After signing we were heading to Warrumbungle National Park. Thanks for showing. Tftc
What an interesting spot. It's fantastic that we are given such good access
.there are about 25 vans squashed into the camp tonight! Thanks for sharing this area with us!

Tftc. Enjoying a night at the camp enroute home to Brisbane. Great to find a cache here.
First for the day after availing ourselves of the nearby free camping last night.
Found the cache early in the morning and those nano rolls are sure hard to deal with when your fingers are numb and cold!!!
Well worth the short walk to check out the grooves.
Thanks.

Visiting Dubbo for the and was staying here for the free camping and was excited to see there was a cache placed here. Very nice views and history at gz. TFTC
After a day of rain the river way flowing nicely – the walk to GZ was nice & cache found after a short search – thanks for showing the local history - TFTC / TFTH / SL
This was a tricky one, but we finally found it after a thorough search. Some fascinating cultural history and well worth the drive while staying at Dubbo. TFTC
So thankful for an easy cache after a rather trying day. However I was rather apprehensive about dropping the cache once in hand. So apprehensive in fact that I ended up dropping the log. Watched it ever so carefully roll down the hill, and down and down until some leaves eventually stopped its progress. Oh boy I didn't need that little heart starter. No worries, log was duly signed and returned to its hidey hole. Many thanks vra. Signed log as SG.
Find # 4442 @ 5:28 pm. On the way home after visiting our sonFalling Dutchy in Gypmpie. TNLN, Left my mark in the log. Thank for placing this cache here....
Stayed the night here on our month long wander southward. I hadn't realised these grinding grooves were here when I first pulled in. We wandered down the path after dinner to view the grooves and find the cache in the dying light. Cache was found safe and dry. TFTC, vra.
We had a fail on this one back in 2012 but came up with the goods today. It appeared to be playing hide and seek with us as we "thought" that we had looked "there" several times. All was good in the end. SL TFTC
We are on a road trip to attend "The Melbourne Event" Mega, taking our time to get there and on the return journey. Fortunately, there were lots of caches along the way to tempt us to stop for a while to smell the roses. This was one of those caches.
After not being able to stop elsewhere to camp overnight, we found ourselves heading to this area and were very glad we did as it is a terrific place to camp overnight, with the added bonus of a cache to find. After setting up our camper-trailer, we wandered along the track to ground zero and admired the handiwork of previous generations. The cache was easily located and with our name in the log, we returned to our camp site for the evening.
Thank you for having placed the cache for everyone to enjoy

This is the 1st of 1 caches we didn't find today. [:(!]
[red]We spent quite some time here at around 8:57:00 AM, but we just couldn't locate your cache, so a DNF from us - - - not stating it's not there... just that we couldn't spot it.

What a special place! The grinding grooves are amazing, so much history to be proud of! I wish I'd known about the reserve before hand, we could have camped here overnight rather than going into Dubbo, although where we are is very nice and close to the zoo which was our main reason for a Dubbo stop over. Thanks for the cache vra and for bringing us to a special spot
More campers here today than in long days gone by. All trying to save a buck as these vehicles are so self sufficient with the satellites, on board toilets and solar panels.
The bananas made as much noise as we could passing through the gates, breaking the serenity that nature was providing.
But it quickly changed from rabble to respect.
Were expecting to be blown away by the aboriginal artifacts and indeed the bananas were.
When the hail and persistent rain had drenched the countryside this is a beautiful location.
The local guide has indicated something special and this history confirmed this.
Expected to last the tourists for a long time thanks for this Dubbo adventure. The backtrack was most enjoyable.

I loved seeing the old groves in the rocks, it's just so cool to think about.
Just going to say, the log book looks a bit like wet toilet paper, so it might need a new log book~

QLD Mega trip 2015 with Sol de Lune. On this almost 400km road trip we drove from Canberra to Stanthorpe caching in all the towns along the way with mostly great success. Around the Mega there were heaps of caches to be done including a few power trails. Despite the weather we got all of the planned caches done.
Day two saw us caching all day while we drove from Dubbo to Tamworth. Today was a great day seeing people voting and finding lots of caches. All the campers were sleeping in, so we walked down to GZ and had a look at the grooves and the cache. Thanks.

Found with Albida33 on the way to the Stanthorpe Mega......so please excuse the generic log.
The cache was found without any issues and the log was soon signed....then back in the car and off to continue our travels.
Thanks for the cache and adding to the fun of our Mega trip.....
