What an effort! Was not feeling confident. Re checked calcs. All good. In there? Really? Nice hide. But log has not survived recent rain completely waterlogged. Tftc. My first puzzle cache!
On a couple of occasions Ms Maddy had mentioned wanting to take a look at this cache and yesterday it had been placed on the list. However with a lack of time and today being another chance, I picked up Ms Maddy on the way to the posted coords, to take a look at this cache.
The first part of this story starts with Ms Maddy having a need to eat something and a series of coincidences coming together to find her with a free Sausage sizzle in hand. Seems it was Grand Final day and the Football club actually won.
While Ms Maddy satisfied her hunger, I started reading the information we needed to get the coords. Able to solve one of the questions immediately and see where we needed to head for at least two others, we got started looking for one that we had some idea what we needed. Without luck on that first bit, we headed off for what we knew we could find.
Three questions down, and three to go and kept on walking finding just what was needed for the other three. So even though my track record in making calculations in coords has not been to crash hot, Ms Maddy still left it to me to make the needed calculations, which I undertook very carefully. With some numbers in hand and a short walk to this the final spot off we headed.
As we approached the final GZ area we both made a guess or two at where we might find it, and then zeroed in on a particular point that looked promising. No to make myself useful being the height needed for this one. Ahhh Cache within grasp, oh not so easy to retrieve, and down I go, opps.... However managed to find my feet and not make to much of a mess of myself.
Signed off on the log and then it was time to attempt the save return of the cache. Wait for a car then another and then it was clear, up and in and it was back and time to descend a little more gracefully then when I retrieved it.

This cache icon has been surrounded by a sea of yellow smilies for a while now. The listing did suggest that retrieving the logbook would require the assistance of one less petite than I ... And then there's the wounded wing to contend with *sighs*
Arrived at the posted coords with Orion J and I was feeling a bit shaky, as in forgot to eat for most of the day. We ventured onto the verandah area of the Panthers Club and a hot sausage was promptly offered. It was free! Not members but they didn't seem to care. We sat and read through the instructions while I consumed said onion and tomato sauce-slathered snag.
We decided to do a circuit and pick up the numbers as we roamed. Actually, it was more of a figure eight as both fields were involved in the calculations. At the sit-up bench, confusion ensued over the number of holes but I won out with my superior hole-in-bench-counting ability.
We found the final piece of the puzzle and sat in the shade nearby to crunch the numbers. Well, OJ crunched as counting the holes in the sit-up bench exhausted me. We had to shoo away a wee boy and his dad as they were cluttering up the bench.
We strolled over to GZ and looked at the two most obvious spots for the hidey hole. OJ was sent up to do the retrieval and was doing a mighty fine balancing act till he fell off. Oh dear Luckily he missed me (unlike yesterday when he got scared by wee midges and jumped back in fright). Logbook autographed and OJ was back on his perch (ah, the exuberance of youth) to carefully replace the container.
This is a neat puzzle and a great little hide So glad I didn't attempt it on my own tho.
TFTC If, a FAVE point from moi!

Today after the International Day of Geocaching Event at Colmslie Beach Reserve, teamdfl and I headed off to grab three puzzles before she had to go to work. We enjoyed our wander around here, collecting all the necessary data. Everything worked out very nicely for us. No muggles getting in the way The number crunching happened very easily too, thanks to the app on my phone, and we headed off to our GZ. And here I was very pleased to have teamdfl with me as there's no way I would have got the cache out of it's hidey-hole. Way out of my reach Definitely not for the vertically challenged, indeed. TFTC, If. It's nicely constructed.
We started this puzzle ages ago and came and looked for it a couple of times but I did not DNF it as I knew it was here all the time.
Today we went past on the way to the Event and went "Oh Oh not now too many muggles".
Sports everywhere on every field.
Came back this evening when it was pitch dark and found the GZ we needed and geopartner retrieved the cache.
Signed the log and returned the cache to its hide.
TNLNSL TFTC Thanks If All good with this cache

Having made an appearance at the nearby event, it was time to get back to the serious business of turning blue question marks into smiley faces. Only IolantheK in tow for this one. We walked around and found some numbers. Did the dastardly sum - nice app for doing that IolantheK ;-D
Headed to GZ and we knew where it had to be. It was just within my reach. Delicate balance and a strectch just got my fingertips on it. Phew!!!

Well, today was the day I attempted my first Puzzle Challenge without assistance of a higher power.
I don't know if the annual muggle convention at the GZ was a hazard or assistance today. I took advantage of my Excel obsession and poked all the data into the lappy promptly walking around in a overly large figure 8 !
Towards the end I came across the obligatory dastardly muggle with offspring who sat right at one of the clues. Good grief.
I was further inspired to press on by my earlier attendance at the International Caching Day Event nearby - must have been all that caching brain power motivating me to attempt the finish.
Finally, at the ?? GZ I went about some more 'conventional caching business'. Not too long on I found teh prize. Nice job If

This was my choice for Day Five of the August streak. I'd actually attempted this one quite a long time ago, but we had some problems with one of the waypoints, and naturally, I'd lost all my notes, so today I started from scratch. I did know where to find all the info, at least! It was the perfect afternoon for a stroll around the popular Hawthorne Park, too . With what I hoped were the correct finals now calculated, I searched high and low (actually not low, because I'd read the hint, but you can't really just say "I searched high") but without luck. In the end, I called a previous finder, who confirmed my coordinates and suggested I try somewhere I'd already tried. Shrugging my shoulders, I gave it another go, and just when I was about to give up, managed to touch, with the very tip of my finger, what simply HAD to be the cache! But how to get it? I must say, for a solo geocacher, this one is really a challenge - and I'm not even particularly short! I can't say much more about how I managed to get it without revealing too much about the hide, but suffice it to say that it was very very hard. TFTC, If. =^.^=
Nicked out to find this one during my lunch hour. I have been eyeing this one off for a number of months. I am now sitting at GZ waiting for the bizillion school holiday muggles to disappear so I can return the cache. As the coast becomes clear more turn up. I could be here for a while. Great cache. Great opportunity to learn more local info. A bit damp. TFTC. AGHH they are still coming. When will they go away.
My first 2 attempts got me locations outside the park. Really had to work on my counting skill! Got to gz and didn't see any evidence of work mentioned by toby47 but glad to see a convenient aid to retrieve the cache. TFTC.
Great littke hiding spot and advanture. My gps was a bit off so had to review past logs and use geo libgib. Tftc. A quick step up and cach ready for the plucking
Did this one with the help of team Aidenkai. Rain kept muggles away. This one really stretched us. TFTC
I took a lovely walk around the path collecting clues early this morning. Unfortunately, a personal trainer had his gear all over the sit up seat, so there was no way I could count the holes.
I waited past the hour, thinking they might finish up on the hour, but they continued with their punishing routine. Punching, burpees, sit ups, lunges, sprint, jog, punching..... And on it went.
I disappeared to collect some of GM62's nearby caching masterpiecees and then returned. They had gone, so I counted away, then sat on a seat and exercised the grey matter. A quick walk to GZ and I was scratching my head.
I wonder if......So, when the coast was clear I launched myself off the ground onto the opposition shoulders and took the mark of the century. (Ok, maybe I just found the cache).
It was a bit damp inside so I dried it all out in the sun for a minute and then replaced it. I enjoyed this one . A favourite from me for the the catch of the year (after the siren of course, that led to the goal, which won the grand final)

Excellent cache for our first time. Took us a little while and a lot of re-work, but what a buzz when geo son found it!
Great puzzle - on a nice Brizzy day our family really enjoyed the walk around the park collecting all the info (now, was that 6 or 8??) - after an initial false start, we recalculated and found the clever hiding place - TFTC!
Pulled up at a perfect spot, and started walking the right way. Grabbed all the answers I needed, but I was concerned for a while that I might have missed the answer to question A.
Completed the calculations, and headed towards the final GZ. Surely not there. Lets check a few other spots. No luck, so back to the first spot, sent geowife up for the mark and she comes down with the cache in hand. Log signed and down comes the rain. Cache replaced and race back to car. Lucky theres always a change of clothes in car.
Very good hide. TFTC

I've been wanting to do this one for a while now. Was a bit of a challenge with a few muggles around. The cache had a fair bit of water in it, but was still able to sign log. TFTC
I was in great need of a particular type of location to hide a cache, and this area offered a good chance. But in order to know if my hide spot was closer than 161m to this cache, I was going to have to find it. So I proceeded to walk around very quickly, missed the sit-up bar but then found it, had to dodge muggles in the picnic shelter, and even then found the number of vertical posts a bit controversial (stick to the red ones, folks), before finding a bench and doing the calculations. First result put me over a fence, so it was back to the hut for a recount, before arriving at what seemed a very likely GZ. Like most, I went looking in all the wrong spots before the old instinct kicked in, and luckily I have a bit of reach on me.
A little bit wet inside but log was fine and the whole cache is very nicely constructed. Favourite point time.
And after all that, I've decided against placing a cache here... maybe another one down the track. TFTC If!

I think I ended up doing two laps on the bike
Diffidently had the grey matter working on this one cause I missed a few things on the first lap.
But I got there in the end and worked out some coords and WHAT [?] way over there, NO WAY
rechecked my calcs opps. Ahh, that's seems more like it.
Now to wait for a gap in the walkers ........and I've got the cache
Another wait......and it's back.

We did the hard yards on this one back in February. However we were a bit stumped with F. Couldn't find it on the day so we left it vowing we would return. Did a bit of research on "F" and came up with an answer that put GZ in a likely position. We were heading out caching in the area this morning so decided to finally grab this one. Pulled up to GZ which was quite busy. Looked around and couldn't see anything obvious. With limited options we decided to try the unlikely. So we waited till we were sure we were not being observed and did what we needed to. Sure enough our hunch was correct. Cache retrieved and signed and then had to wait until we could return the cache to its hidey hole. Thanks If for the cache and the walk around this lovely park.
Solved this one months ago but this was the first opportunity to go back and get it. Went at 1630 on a weekday which must be close to peak time for people exercising. The waypoint is absolutely spot on. We spent 10 minutes looking for the cache at the calculated coordinates and must have looked very strange to walkers and joggers as we surveyed the landscape. Fortunately GeoToddler was doing his best interpretation of The Wiggles "Rolling Down the Sand Dunes" on the grassy knoll nearby so we could pretend that we were simply indulging him by standing around. After looking closely in each of what we thought were the obvious cache hiding places, GeoDad "Up-There-Cazaly'd" and lo and behold there it was. NOTE - not sure if the cache is supposed to be visible, but it's not so we found it only by process of elimination. Excellent hiding spot - TFTC!!
I pulled up at this one in the truck after work nearby … hmmm, two big ovals, no waypoints, limited time [?]. Na …. i'll leave it for another day, and i began to drive off .
As i pulled out from my parking spot and began going through the gears, i was thinking …. 'this is If's cache, it would have been a good one'. At that point i said 'blow it' (or silmilar) and pulled over again. I locked it up and i was off .
I gathered the required info on my lap around the park, having a few doubts on C as there were muggles sitting there and i couldn't really get a good look. F also had me stumped as i have never really been a fan of basketball … so thanks to my HTC, the answer was at my fingertips .
I completed one lap and had all my answers, so i sat and did some math. !50m away, looking good . I arrived at GZ and began my hunt, checking a couple of spots with no luck. I began to doubt my answer at C when i spied something odd …. mmmm i wonder, so I 'up there cazalied' and came up with a cache [^].
The container had a tiny amount of water inside and the log is a little damp, but very usable. I had to wait a while for a steady stream of muggles to pass before returning it to it's hide . This one would be very difficult on a sport day/weekend
Another fine effort IF, very glad i stopped . TFTC

In early evening sevabo and I arrived here from Gold Coast,we walked to the right GZ but we realised when we saw and that was impossible to retrieved it for us so we better left it till a late night. We has a lovely dinner with our muggle friends in Bulimba. We came back here with our muggle's little ladder and it wasn't far from her home. sevabo tried to retrieved it because she is taller than me but she realised that she still cant and then I determined to retrieved it which I was success but I stuck there and wait for sevabo to log it then I saw the muggles walked past us and I was trying to tell sevabo get the light torch off but they kept walking away so maybe they thought that we were crazy ladies do to that night!! But I think it was a very funny night. Thank you If for bringing us here. TFTH SL
at night 10.30pm, I borrowed muggle's ladder and we found it - excellent hide cache. Thanks for bringing us here.
This was fun solving this inbetween some afl kicking around with the geokids.
Cache was still wet, emptied out, the log was damp but wasn't in too bad shape.
Thanks so much If, another cool container.

Attention Ladies and Gentlemen,
this cache is good to go again
It was a bit damp inside.
Must be because the hiding spot filled up with water [:o]
It is still a little musty, but servicable

We (Mrs Biggles & I) first attempted this one yesterday (Xmas day, no less. We were bored!) and managed to get all the clues except for the key thing so after a few wrong guesses which had the final coords ranging from near the park, to all the way back to Bulimba, we decided to abandon the search until we work out the meaning of the clue. Not being remotely interested in the nominated sport we had to rely on being wiki-educated and at once the true co-ordinates appeared out of the fog of numbers.
We returned today zeroed in on the GZ, managed to locate the cache and extract it. Surprisingly the cache was very wet however even though the log book was a tad damp we made our mark, rehid the cache and scuttled off home before the next rain deluge descended.
Clever hide!

Wow excellent hide spot - with my special tool... Drain the water out from container but the log book seem good and dry... Sign the log. Thanks If.
A stroll around the path this afternoon revealled that all the clues are there as is the cache
Well I assume they are all still there as someone was doing sit ups and I couldn't check up that all of the holes in the bench top were still there [:o)]

Visiting from WA for 2 days for work, I had an appointment at Lourdes Hill College nearby, and came down here afterwards to do this cache, before meeting up with the boss again.
Walked all the way around in my business attire, with laptop bag in tow, and gathered all the information, calculated the numbers - and then the boss phoned! Grrr
Hopefully I get the chance to come back and finish this off next time

People are certainly keen on their exercise! Even with the not quite so pleasant weather, there were plenty of people enjoying the facilities. We had a wander around gathering clues. Struggled with one but we only had two possibilities. Turns out we picked the wrong one first (doh!), so made a slight detour on the way to GZ. Once at GZ, cache was located with the hint. Good thing Pagan was along for this one! Log is damp but usable. Thanks If [^]
Had to have two attempts at getting this one. Earlier in the evening there were games being played and there was no way we could have got this one without being seen. Later all was quiet and the prize was quickly in hand. Thanks to flower1 for help with this one. flower did all the work. Thanks for the cache.
It has to be more than a year since I first attempted this puzzle with my sister and nephew. We wandered around and found all the clues then came up with a set of co-ords that looked right. There was so much muggle activity going on that the search started to feel very uncomfortable so we decided to leave it until another day.
With a few hours to spare I decided that today was the day but the notes from my previous visit are long gone so off I went on the trek to find the clues again. After crunching the numbers it became obvious that something was wrong so more number crunching and I had a set of co--ords that seemed like they could be right. Strange though, they took me a place close to where we looked last time but not quite the same so back to checking the numbers again. The maths was correct so the hunt began.
I located GZ and wondered how on earth you could hide a "small" there. Then I remembered who it was that placed the cache and realised if there was a way he would find it With the usual muggle activity going on it soon became clear that I was never going to perform the necessary actions to retrieve the cache without being spotted so back to the flower-mobile and home to wait for the sun to go down.
Under cover of darkness and with a prop to help with the retrieval I headed back to GZ - good thing I live not too far away. At 8:45pm I was surprised to find there were still muggles hanging about so I had to sit in the flower-mobile for another 10 minutes until the coast was clear. With prop in hand I headed to the spot and oh joy, oh bliss, I was right this time - woo hoo!!!!!
Thanks for the cache - glad to finally get this one off my list

Out today with Ant24 and geobub, this was not our initial list, but after a quick chat Claire_geo she soon had us convinced to have a look. Took the nice stroll around the track gathering the necessary info and crunching the numbers.
Arrived at GZ and started the search. after a little bit of head scratching i said "it wouldn't be in............." and watta know it was!!!

Well it took some time to get into the right groove with this cache, but we were eventually on the right track and information was in hand.
We then let Gunnie69 to do the number crunching and he had the cache co-ordinates about 27km away. Before we jumped into the car to get the cache, I checked the calculations and found a small error and the cache was really only 100 metres away. Well that was my recollection of events and I am sticking with it.[^]
We arrived at GZ and started looking to no avail. We did check every seed pod on every tree.
Just then Just a Trifle team fessed up, with the cache being revealed from behind their backs, to put us out of misery with the cache in hand . Dirty scoundrels.
Very interesting hiding spot

Found as part of a caching run to grab some puzzle caches with agap2, Just a Trifle, SVN07, Gunnie69 and supervised by lat&long junkie.
We then let Gunnie69 to do the number crunching and he had the cache co-ordinates about 27km away. Ghostgums, Agap2 and I did the circuit with L&L Junkie along side. Just a Trifle were in locatio but had gained the necessary clues and were straight into number crunching mode...
We gatherred the necessary clues and found a bench near the final clue to crunch some numbers... [^] This is where my recollection of events differs ever so slightly to that of Ghostgums. I seem to recall the numbers being crunched with some engineering input to ensure absolute accuracy... [?] Results calculated, the final coords were not favourable and were keen on taking us at least two blocks over from our last clue We used a miriad of options from one of the clues, to no avail... T'was then that Ghostgums noticed a small error in one of the calculations and we were on track for a completely different result... Ahh, that looks better... [^]
At GZ though, the cache was not not going to reveal itself easily and we hunted for quite some time before Just a Trifle handed us the container... I should mention that throughout the entire time we were in location, L&L Junkie maintained his relentless "No Free Rides" philosophy...
Cheers IF

OK, I won't enter into the gunnie69 vs ghostgums debate.. this is just a little childish ..
suffice to say the real competition was to try to get the cache before JAT did.. who had a head start on us... but seemed to be struggling with the calcs too... after a very intense search at GZ however... JAT came up with the goods.
Thanks IF....Very cunning hide!! loved it!!

We had stopped by here this morning to gather the necessary info before meeting for coffee to commence our day out to "Get into the Mind of If". While GhostGums, agape2 and gunnie69, with Lat&Long Junkie supervising headed off to locate the clues, we plugged in the co-ords to locate GZ. What, that can't be right, the cache can't be two blocks away. Crunched the numbers again and the GPS said it was 5m to GZ. That's better, but where can you hide something here? We wasted precious time not trusting the calculations, re-crunching numbers, walking around in circles to see where we went wrong and reading previous logs. Suddenly, Mrs Just a Trifle had a brain wave - what do you think about there? Just as Mr JaT retrieved the booty, the gang came into sight. So have you found it yet we hear them ask - no, we can't get the calculations to work out [B)] we lied and sat and watched them search high and low. Now, how can we get the cache back into place without anyone seeing, will anyone actually work out we have the cache? To compound the matter, Lat&Long Junkie knew we had found the cache. Time was getting on and we had to get across town, cleaned up and back into the city within an hour, so we took pity on the boys, fessed up and handed over the cache. Thanks for a great day If, this was our last find for the day and it was great fun.
Here with my cousin's partner, whose 3rd cache find it was and his first ever puzzle cache (and my 3rd cache in Australia... visiting from California). Left Blythe TB. TFTC!
Passing by today and I have noticed that if you stand atop the pitcher's mound you can just see the top of the cache
Out geocycling around the darkside I am now convinced it truely is the darkside as I had some difficulty in first locating the clues and eventually the cache itself.
I now know this park very well as it took 3 circuits to find the yards and one less to find the other small object (basketball courts are small are they not .
Eventually with the clues in place I retired to a local bakery (Well it is an IF cache) to assemble the coordinates. At my GZ nothing clicked so off I went doing more circuits hoping to find the right place. With a heavy rainshower forcing me to seek shelter near the entertainment venue I cracked and phoned a friend. Sunshine confirmed my GZ and cleared the rain and fortunately the muggles had not yet returned.
I hope never to return to this park as the locals are likely to have reported my presence to the blue uniformed people.
Another top IF caching experience.

Found today with Bonnie, fun solving the puzzle, what a good hide- fortunately the area was relatively muggle free! TFTC!
Found by Sunshine Toledo at approx 1:00pm "with a little help from my friends". I stood and looked at GZ for about 15 minutes at all the places that could hide the right sized cache but left one till last. And as IF would say"Bingo". The problem of not being able to count can be put down exclusively to senility. TFTC
DNF today. Spent 2 hours here checking and re-checking the info and doing the sums but no cache where we looked. A PM will be sent.
I wondered how this cache could have got water inside it [:o]
Oh! I see
The lid is fixed. Lets see it leak now
PS: The bit of plastic under the lid is there purely to esure no epoxy gets on the screw top thread before it fully cures !!

Yesterday we made the pleasant walk around a familiar park (as it is right next to our fave cinema) collecting the required numbers. This was the first time using the iPod for paperless caching (very clever)...the little screen is amazing...except for certain (necessary) mathematical symbols. So when I did the maths....whoooo - that's not a coordinate (not even a footy score). Off we went home, rechecked and recalculated. Needless to say that we might as well have had a look yesterday as we had parked about THIS far from GZ . Did a thorough search today but I will admit to being "distracted" by some of the "information" in other logs . Made a call to the HH Helpline and got on the right track. JL did the honours (even with a scrapped leg from our earlier searching) and came up with the prize. We love "IF'ie" caches!!! Thanks for the cache IF - svn07 (& JackyLegs)
Ok...so like this one took Cloudling and I a while to figure out. I finally bought myself a real GPS (N95 was just too flaky around trees). So armed with my new toy and the knowledge that IF is into the cryptic crosswords, we finally worked it out. Thanks heaps for the cache.
OMG this one was sooooooo frustrating to find! EXCELLENT hide [^]. I spent much time trying to work out where this one was - I must have stared at the hiding spot dozens of times without working it out *doh*. Sam-Sam finally solved this one but couldn't reach the cache to confirm - luckily I have all the tall .
Container was full of water - it may need some maintenance.

This was my third visit. The first time I got the coordinates wrong. The second time I found the right spot but I couldn't retrieve the cache. This time I came under the cover of darkness and had the cache in hand with a bit of a struggle.
Thanks, If, for the experience...I think.
Thanks, If, for the experience...I think.
I missed the sit up bench my first time around. That'll teach me to cut corners. Managed to grab the goods in between walkers, joggers, dogers and cyclists. TN/LN/SL. I had a devil of a time putting it back. A super keen footy fan camped right "there" on the hill while I was signing the log. Fortunately, she was fixated on the empty playing field, but it made me nervous doing what you have to do to replace this cache. This was a surprisingly easy find for me ... unlike K6's "Kick it to me". I feel your pain 'IF' .
We had lunch in the park today but it took several goes before we managed to claim a place before someone just beat us to it. Lots of people looking like they were trying to get fitter.
We gathered the data and did the maths.
We went to GZ.
It looked like we might have made an error.
We carefully rechecked everything twice more.
That took us back to our original GZ.
It must be there, we thought.
We did the Cazaly thing and hey presto! We'd found it.
Too clever If! We enjoyed this cache immensely.

Oooo, what a hide!! Love a bit of a puzzle, so thought I'd try this on the way home. Clues found easily, and enjoyed the walk around the park. Came up with one solution I was 90 % positive with, and another possibility around 10%. Headed off to find the cache, and was totally confused at my first point. Proceeded to program in the second, but as that was directing me to the very centre of the oval, I quickly concluded my first must have been right!! Hang on ... what's that up there? You have got to be kidding me!! Love this one ... if only it wasn't for the muggle stares I got whilst hanging around GZ figuring out spot then awaiting the all clear to retrieve ...! This one is worth the visit! TFTC.
As others before me, I got some exercise circling the park, then some more scratching my head.
Then, just as I am about to walk away befuddled and lacking confidence in my observation and maths - something clicks and ... there it is!
Great way to fill in a little time waiting for a meeting.

well after getting to the final GZ had to put up with him watching my search ...
got it eventually, but will admit the search time was probaley reduced with MM pulling me back a couple of times.
clever hide ... but how does it .............. [?]
cheers IF

#6 of 11 finds on my first afternoon/night in Brisbane. I found this one at 1735. It took rather longer than I expected to gather all the information because of tunnel-vision on my behalf, but it was worth it. I wouldn't have learnt nearly as much about the park and its facilities otherwise. I was intrigued by the comments in the logs about the size of the cache container. I had formulated an opinion about what I was to find, but I was wrong. I, too, am wondering why it had to be so big/long. [?] I had to time my retrieval and replacement between passing muggles. and the activities of a lawn-mowing muggle who was using the sickest Victa I have ever encountered. I'll never know how it kept running! I made no exchange. Thanks to If for the cache. Cheers, dak.
After two circuits of the area I finally came up with an answer which appeared reasonable. But this put me on at a tree on a footpath in the next block. Ran out of time to check my figures so will have to come back another day.
Well with confirmation from the owner re our caculations it was back for a second look. This time the satelite gods were aligned and took me straight to a likely hiding spot. Then another stumble suffering from ducks disease I could feel the cache I just couldn't extract it.As I pondered how to extract it Mr Angermanagement came ambling accross the park aahh problem solved.TFTC and a great park to remember to come back to with the kids and the bikes.
Well headed back today after checking with If about our maths and answers, which correct. Today the GPS lead us to the right spot instead of the area 30m away that it was pointing to the other day. Thanks for bringing us here. It broght back some memories for me as my parents owned a business in the area whilst I was growing up and I spent alot of time in the Bulimba Hawthorne area. TFTC.
Very nice walk in the park and the find was well worth it.

With the geoboys on their scooters and Mumma and Dadda NANKS on foot we ambled around this exciting park. The kids love this type of cache where they are as much an expert as Mum or Dad! [^] We were counting, estimating, checking, challenging each other to physical skill competitions and generally having a fun, family time!
With all the answers, we sat to do the math. After one silly mistake - "That can't be right, it's 172km away!" Mumma NANKS recalculated and realised that an addition sign should not be mistaken for a subtraction sign. (SSSHHHHHH.......DON'T TELL ANYONE I'M A MATHS TEACHER)
The coordinates brought us to a likely spot and with the agility of 1000 gazelles, Dadda NANKS had the cache in hand.
IN : A "NANKS" Smiley rubber
OUT: A mini glue stick
Thanks IF! We really enjoyed ourselves. [^]

We were sure our maths was right but the satelite gods were not aligning today. Both GPS took us well away from the cache.Even though I had a crack at a spot that fitted the hint.It was with a heavy heart we departed to rechec`k our caculations.
Well Mrs HH and I must have had our blinkers on today because we couldn't locate a cache or maybe too much study for me and too much xmas lights for Mrs HH had turned our brains to mush and the maths was incorrect. Either way it is a DNF for us today. We will return to tame this cache.
The cache was found with the company of wingaap, Rastas000, and Map Monkey (on bicycle).
It was a pleasant evening for a stroll, around the park, in the dark, with lots of muggles around.
I was amazed how many people were running around and performing amazing feats on the equipment in the darkness....
The cache was close to hand after the mathematics had been solved.
We were nearing GZ,and I was checking the GPS, when ..."Alex Jesaulenko Wingaap" did the "You Beauty" and marked the cache and brought it to its knees.
A fine shot resulted in a goal for the team.

I started the day with an If puzzle no-find, and I ended the day with an If puzzle no-find. I had never ventured into the park, although knew of the track and Panthers. Was lovely to see lots of folk out and about, not sure of their reaction to this strange person poking about in potential hides, especially when they came around again (and again).
Located in the company of Wingaap, Findalot and Map Monkey...
Nice walk in the dark, with clues that would be sooooo easy to see in the daylight...

A beautiful evening for a stroll through the park...and a cache in the offering. All this and the good company of Rastas, FindaLot & Map Monkey (riding shotgun).
It sure is a popular spot even at this time of the evening. We had to delay finding one of the hints until our return journey due to muggle activity.
It's certainly the biggest cache of this type that I've ever encountered...yes...it's up there
Thanks IF...an enjoyable outing
Up early & off but came away empty handed. Double checked all the clues, triple checked the maths, even tried one alternate. Still learnt some interesting history. Thanks If.
Hahaha.....IF, did you read the instructions on the side of the cache container? Obviously failed to follow instructions.
The third biggest cache container of its type i have ever seen.....wow, imagine that sucker in action.
After some friendly help, the cache was finally located in the obvious location after a nice bike ride, with the coordinates spot-on to my revisited numbers (i can't add up ). I'm not sure if those wierd sporting players used the same strategy as i did to gain the cache going by the clues.....i don't remember seeing any of them on the oval.
Left nothing at this stage....will be back with kids, now that i have finally visited this park after 6 months living nearby.
A nice cache container to go with a nice hide....thanks IF.
